Coastal erosion is a phenomenon of natural or anthropogenic origin that affects many coastal regions around the world. In response to its worsening over time, adaptation strategies have been developed: construction of dikes, operations to re-silt beaches, rock structures, etc. Among these strategies, the establishment of sand dunes is a territorial entity which fluctuates in space and time depending on natural (tide, erosion, sedimentation, etc.) and human factors (dams, etc.). Besides the natural protection of coastal dunes against storm surges (Mehrtens et al., 2023), blue-grey-hybrid dune structures play a key role in strengthening the protective mechanism of dunes against erosion, while imitating their natural landform appearance and function (Nordstrom 2019). Although artificial dunes with hybrid core enhancements are widespreadly implemented along many coasts worldwide (Winters et al., 2020), limited work addressed the effectiveness and potential enhancement of specific dune reinforcement strategies in a comparative fashion. Abstract:
Odonates are significant components of most wetland habitats and important indicators of their health. At Cape Cod National Seashore (CACO), we compiled odonate records dating back to the 1980s and, based partly on that data, identified 41 wetland sites for sampling, representing six freshwater habitats (kettle pond, inter-dune pond, dune slack, riparian marsh, vernal pool, and bog). We surveyed these sites for adult odonates during the 2016?2018 field seasons. Ten sites were surveyed all three years (total 19-20 surveys/site); all ten had at least some historical data. The remaining 31 sites

Antioxidant activity of fruits is gaining wide interest among consumers due to its importance in counteracting oxidative stress, free radicals and preventing DNA damage. Oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) assay is one of the commonly used assays to measure the antioxidant activity, which is based on hydrogen atom transfer mechanism. Furocoumarins present in grapefruit are reported to have antiproliferative activity, induce GST activity, inhibit biofilm formation and increase bioavailability of drugs. In the present project ORAC values were measured of Star Ruby grapefruit undergone ethy

This report scrutinizes revenue and concentration trends in Italian media industries from 2019 to 2021, following the Global Media and Internet Concentration Project (GMICP) blueprint. Twenty-seven industries are categorized into three macro-sectors: Telecommunications and Internet Access, Online and Traditional Media, and Core Internet Applications. Key findings include the Italian network media economy's worth of 47.385 billion EUR in 2021, a 3.5% drop from 2019 due to declines in traditional media, countered by digital industry growth. Wireless remains the largest sector, but core GAFAM and

Abstract:
The line between animal and human is often one that is heavily reliant on an individual’s identifications and sense of relationality. The depth of a human-animal bond shifts depending on the established terms of the particular human-animal relationship and the extent of its prior nurturing and the circumstances of its genesis. Animal narratives in turn provide insight into animal individuality that may allow for contemplation of unique, specific approaches applicable to a wide range of circumstances in veterinarian medicine. Some films encompass various facets of the human-animal divide, or la
