The occurrence of the bignose shark Carcharhinus altimus at Ducie Island, Pitcairn Islands is reported for the first time based upon re-identification of four museum voucher specimens. The presence of a pregnant female and a juvenile confirms C. altimus breeds at Ducie Island and should be considered resident there. K-Ar Dating of Amphiboles from Andesite of Complex Dyke in Dubie (Southern Poland) This study presents the results of radiometric K-Ar measurements on separated amphiboles from the andesite of the Dubie complex dyke. The data obtained cover the period of (291.3 ± 6.4) Ma, which corresponds to Carboniferous-Permian transition. The age is contemporaneous to the rhyodacitic and basaltoid volcanism of the Kraków region.

AbstractPost-bog soils developed from limnic calcareous sediments are closely related to a young-glacial landscape and postglacial lakes in Northern Poland. The studies conducted in 2010–2012 on post-bog soils near lake Dubie (Równina Drawska, NW Poland), partially used as an arable land. Resumo Objetivou-se caracterizar uma amostra de adolescentes em conflito com a lei em relação ao consumo de substâncias e possíveis problemas associados. Participaram 120 adolescentes do sexo masculino, entre 13 e 18 anos, custodiados na Unidade de Atendimento Inicial da Fundação CASA, que responderam ao Drug Use Screening Inventory - Revised (DUSI-R). Análises descritivas indicaram que a maioria dos adolescentes teria feito uso de maconha (84%) e álcool (54%).
