Abstract:
In this licentiate thesis the luminescence properties of two flexible conjugated dyes have been studied. The first, Pt1, is a platinum(II) acetylide chromophore used in optical power limiting materials. The second is a set of optical probes known as luminescent conjugated oligothiophenes (LCOs), which are used to detect and characterize the protein structures associated with amyloid diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. MM3 and CHARMM force field parameters have been derived for the Pt1 chromophore and LCOs, respectively, based on potential energy surface references calculated at the density f

Squaraine dyes are a subclass of polymethine dyes, which owing to its low band gap and strong absorption (ε >105 M−1 cm−1) in the far-red and NIR region have found application in dye-sensitized solar cells. While the squaraine dyes have excellent absorption in the far-red region, the exciton quenching by aggregation limits its overall performance in dye-sensitized solar cells. The aggregates form when the dipoles of the molecules interact with each other due to pi-pi interaction. 碩士
國立中正大學
光機電整合工程研究所
100
This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, we used the Z-scan technique with individual 16 picosecond (16 ps) laser pulse to investigate nonlinear refraction properties of (i) six individual transparent liquids (methanol, ethanol, H2O, CS2, toluene and THF) and (ii) two binary transparent liquids (methanol-ethanol and ethanol-CS2). The purpose of this study is to verify whether the interaction between the component liquids renders additional nonlinear refraction behaving as the well characterized Kerr effect. In the second part of this thesis

碩士
國立中興大學
化學系所
103
Porphyrins are a group of highly conjugated macrocycle organic compounds. Many porphyrin are naturally occurring, the best-known porphyrins are heme and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is an extremely important biomolecule, which has high molar extinction coefficient can allow plants to absorb energy from light. In this thesis, we take porphyrin as core of synthesis, and separate two parts to discuss. One is extending the π conjugated – using alkyne substitutes and dimer porphyrin to increase the range of absorption spectrum, expect can enhance the ability of efficiency
