On the basis of the political environment and rent-seekers with incomplete information set, the locally asymptotic stability of Nash equilibrium is proved. The competition intensity and policymaker cost could enlarge the stability region of Nash equilibrium. The higher the competition intensity is, the more the opponent’s expenditure reduces the player’s success probability, which is beneficial to the maintenance of Nash equilibrium. Abstract:
This article tries to provide a dynamic interest group theory. Using the economic method of the 'homo economicus' demand for and supply of policy catering to the needs of pressure groups are analysed. Central are the notions of information and organisation costs that face latent groups treatened by already existing groups. These notions permit to integrate the existing theories on pressure group into one global dynamic theory. The economists' rent seeking theory and the political scientists' pluralism and neo-corporatism can thus be understood as stages in a continuing process.

Despite the fact that China’s economy has grown swiftly since the reform and opening up, the problem of environmental degradation in China has become increasingly significant. Therefore, this paper uses China as an example to examine the dynamic relationship between the highlighted variables (renewable energy consumption, economic growth, oil rent, and natural resources) and greenhouse gas emissions (a proxy for environmental sustainability). Using annual data over the period 1971–2018 and employing the auto-regressive distributed lag bounds approach to perform an empirical analysis, the resul

This paper addresses the issue of the impact of the competitive behaviors of long-rental apartment firms on the rents of long-rental apartments and ordinary rental housing and introduces a dynamic gaming approach to the housing rental market domain to reveal changes in the long-term complexity of rents of long-rental apartments and ordinary rental housing caused by the competitive behavior of long-rental apartment firms. Through numerical simulation, it is found that the adoption of smaller rent adjustment strategies by firms is important for maintaining system stability, while the changes in

This study shows economic oscillations due to periodic changes in some parameters in the economic model proposed by Zhang (2014). This paper generalizes Zhang?s model by allowing all the time-independent parameters to be time dependent. The model deals with the relationship between growth and inequality in a two-sector growth modelling framework with different time-dependent exogenous shocks. The model is based on the Walrasian general equilibrium theory and the Solow-Uzawa neoclassical growth theory. The study applies the utility function proposed by Zhang to describe the behaviour of househo

The present study identifies the limits and pattern of commercial activities within CBD of Peshawar. Retailing is topmost paying commercial activity and occupies the highest bid-rent location in the city. The Central Business District (CBD) is the retail heart of the city. The spatial arrangement of commercial activities happens to be very complex and their limits are dynamic in the CBD of Peshawar. The land value, rent values, taxation system, commuter behaviour, nature and transformation of commercial activities are directly dependent on this spatial arrangement and delimitation of CBD. The

In Germany, the construction of new residential buildings for social housing has significantly declined, while the demand for such housing has steadily increased. This study aimed to identify the economic conditions necessary to enable affordable rents for social housing in Germany, considering various financial and policy parameters. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data from 45 realized mid-range residential buildings meeting EH 40 and EH 55 energy standards. The methodology included detailed profitability calculations performed using the dyn

We survey the literature on dynamic elections in the traditional settings of spatial preferences and rent seeking under perfect and imperfect monitoring of politicians. We define stationary electoral equilibrium, which encompasses notions used by Barro (1973), Ferejohn (1986), Banks and Sundaram (1998), and others. We show that repeated elections mitigate the commitment problems of politicians and voters, and that a responsive democracy result holds under general conditions. Term limits, however, attenuate the responsiveness finding. We also touch on related applied work, and we point to areas

This paper explores the dynamic interactions between natural resource dependence, corruption, and tax revenue mobilization worldwide. The empirical analysis used a cross-section augmented autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) approach that accounts for time dynamics, cross-sectional heterogeneity, and cross-sectional dependence. The results show that the interaction between natural resource dependence, corruption, and tax revenue mobilization is complex and depends on the type of tax revenue. For example, reducing corruption stimulates non-resource tax revenue mobilization compared to total
