Abstract:

This study aims to describe the patterns of al-Mukassinȃt al-Ma'nawiyyah in Al-Qur'ȃn on Juz 30, namely: : (1) al-Tauriyyah, (2) al-Tibȃq, (3) al-Muqȃbalah, (4) Ta’kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusybih al-Dzam, (5) Ta’kîd al-dzam bi mȃ Yusybih al-Madah, and (6) Uslûb al-Hakîm. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that al-Mukhassinȃt al-Ma'nawiyyah in the Qur'an at Juz 30 are al-Tibȃq, al-Muqȃbalah, and Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusybih al-Dzam. And not found the existence of al-Tauriyyah, Ta'kîd al-dzam bi mȃ Yusybih al-Madah, and Uslûb al-Hakîm. Al-Tibȃq is in 26 places, al-Muqȃbalah is in 19 places, and Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusybih al-Dzam is in 1 place. Al-Tibȃq is more numerous than al-Muqȃbalah and Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusbihu al-Dzam, because al-Tibȃq is simpler than both, and al-Muqȃbalah is more than Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusybih al -Dzam because he is simpler than him, Tibȃq al-Ijab more than Tibȃq al-Salb. Al-tibȃq is found that there are times when there are antonyms between two nouns, two verbs, and two different words, most of which are bantonyms between two nouns. Al-Muqȃbalah has found that there are antonyms between two meanings, three meanings and four meanings, most of which are antonyms between two meanings. Whereas Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusbih al-Dzam only exists in 1 place, which is to determine the nature of praise for something after that it brings the letter istitsnȃ 'followed by another nature of praise. Whereas the second purpose of Ta'kîd al-Madah bi mȃ Yusybih al-Dzam is to exclude the compliments of the denounced reproach. يهدف هذا البحث إلى وصف أساليب المحسّنات المعنوية في الجزء الثلاثين من القرآن الكريم، وهي: (1) التورية، و (2) الطباق، و (3) المقابلة، و (4) تأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم، و (5) تأكيد الذم بما يشبه المدح، و (6) أسلوب الحكيم. المنهج المستخدم في هذا البحث هو الوصف الكيفي. من نتائج البحث يعرف أن المحسّنات المعنوية في الجزء الثلاثين من القرآن الكريم هي: الطباق، والمقابلة، وتأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم. وليس هناك التورية، وتأكيد الذم بما يشبه المدح، وأسلوب الحكيم. الطباق فيه في 26 موضع، والمقابلة فيه في 19 موضعا، وتأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم فيه في موضع واحد. الطباق أكثر من المقابلة وتأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم لأنه أبسط منهما، والمقابلة أكثر من تأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم لأنه أبسط منه. الطباق فيه نوعان هما: طباق الإيجاب وطباق السلب، وطباق الإيجاب فيه أكثر من طباق السلب. الطباق فيه يكون الجمع بين اسمين، وفعلين، وحرفين، ومختلفين، والأكثر يكون الجمع بين اسمين. والمقابلة فيه إما مقابلة بمعنين، أو بثلاثة معان، أو بأربعة معان، والأكثر هو المقابلة بمعنين. وتأكيد المدح بما يشبه الذم فيه نوع واحد فحسب، هو أن يثبت لشيء صفة الذم ثم يؤتى بعدها بأداة استـثناء تليها صفة ذم أخرى. وليس هناك النوع الثاني منه، وهو أن يسـتثنى من صفة مدح منفية صفة ذم.

Abstract:

Dzaky Indah Perkasa Cabang Sungai Tabuk. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk menjelaskan dan memberikan gambaran mengenai kondisi ataupun situasi yang menjadi objek penelitian. Dengan teknik analisis data yaitu menggunakan analisis rasio keuangan yang terdiri dari rasio likuiditas, rasio solvabilitas, rasio aktivitas, rasio profitabilitas dan rasio pertumbuhan. Penelitian dilakukan pada PT. Dzaky Indah Perkasa Cabang Sungai Tabuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT. Dzaky Indah Perkasa Cabang Sungai Tabuk selama ini dalam mengukur tingkat keberhasilan suatu usaha hanya secara sederhana yaitu mengacu kepada laporan keuangan yang telah disajikan pada setiap periodenya dan yang seharusnya setelah dilakukan analisis laporan keuangan menggunakan rasio keuangan diketahui tingkat kinerja yang baik dihasilkan dari likuiditas, solvabilitas dan profitabilitas, sedangkan tingkat kinerja yang kurang baik dihasilkan dari aktivitas dan pertumbuhan.

Abstract:

The effect of aldosterone (Aldo) on phospholipid (PL) biosynthesis in cultured toad bladder epithelial cells was studied in cells incubated with [1,2-14C]choline and [methyl-3H]methionine over a 5-h period. Aldo (10(-7) M) did not alter the uptake of either precursor but significantly stimulated the incorporation of both labels into phosphatidylcholine (PC), the only PL labeled. 3H labeling of PC increased 29% and 14C incorporation into PC increased 34% in cells exposed to Aldo. A similar 30% increase in protein carboxymethylation occurred in cells treated with Aldo. 3-Deazaadenosine (DZA), a methylation inhibitor, abolished the Aldo-stimulated increase in PC labeling from [3H]methionine. PC labeling from [1,2-14C]choline was not affected by DZA. Basal and Aldo-stimulated protein carboxy-methylation were inhibited by DZA. DZA (300 microM) caused a mild decrease in basal short-circuit current (ISC) but completely inhibited the ISC response to 10(-7) M Aldo. Inhibition was complete when DZA was added up to 2 h following exposure to Aldo, and was reversible. Cells previously exposed to Aldo showed a significant increase in ISC within 2 h following removal of DZA. We conclude that Aldo stimulates PL methylation, protein carboxymethylation, and turnover of PC from choline. Inhibition of methylation reactions coincides with the inhibition of ISC response to Aldo.

Abstract:

By means of the Hankel transform and dual-integral equations, the nonlinear response of a penny-shaped dielectric crack with a permittivity κ0 in a transversely isotropic piezoelectric ceramic is solved under the applied tensile stress σzA and electric displacement DzA. The solution is given through the universal relation, Dc∕σzA=KD∕KI=MD∕Mσ, regardless of the electric boundary conditions of the crack, where Dc is the effective electric displacement of the crack medium, and KD and KI are the electric displacement and the stress intensity factors, respectively. The proportional constant MD∕Mσ has been derived and found to have the characteristics: (i) for an impermeable crack it is equal to DzA∕σzA; (ii) for a permeable one it is only a function of the ceramic property; and (iii) for a dielectric crack with a finite κ0 it depends on the ceramic property, the κ0 itself, and the applied σzA and DzA. The latter dependence makes the response of the dielectric crack nonlinear. This nonlinear response is found to be further controlled by a critical state (σc,DzA), through which all the Dc versus σzA curves must pass, regardless of the value of κ0. When σzA<σc, the response of an impermeable crack serves as an upper bound, whereas that of the permeable one serves as the lower bound, and when σzA>σc the situation is exactly reversed. The response of a dielectric crack with any κ0 always lies within these bounds. Under a negative DzA, our solutions further reveal the existence of a critical κ*, given by κ*=−RDzA, and a critical D*, given by D*=−κ0∕R (R depends only on the ceramic property), such that when κ0>κ* or when ∣DzA∣<∣D*∣, the effective Dc will still remain positive in spite of the negative DzA.

Abstract:

Considerar que los mayas con su desventaja evolutiva alcanzaron un grado mayor de desarrollo en el campo de la medicina, es proceder con algo de pasión. Lo que si podemos asegurar sin temor de parecer exagerados, es que la experiencia diaria puso en manos de los curanderos mayas numerosas substancias vegetales, animales y minerales de acción curativa. Pero es preciso aclarar que el uso de tales substancias no estaba reglamentado, que no se les atribuía acción definitiva ni tenían empleo especifico en determinada enfermedad. Por el contrario, se les utilizaba en forma algo irracional en la mitigación de los síntomas, cualquiera que fuese el origen de éstos, lo que de ninguna manera es inferior a lo que hacían sus contemporáneos europeos. El ejercicio de la medicina entre los mayas quedaba encomendado a tres personajes de distinto rango, el h-men que era sacerdote, el dza-dzac que era el que cura con hierbas y ha llegado hasta a nosotros con el nombre de "yerbatero" y el pulyah que es bruj o o hechicero. Los mayas también se aventuraron por los campos de la cirugía ni más ni menos en igual medida que lo hicieran otros pueblos contemporáneos suyos. Un gran interés reviste a nuestro juicio el síndrome de calor-frío entre los mayas, aunque probablemente no se trate de un concepto autóctono, sino de una aportación hecha por los conquistadores. Todo lo expuesto hasta ahora respecto a los recursos curativos de la medicina antigua de Yucatán resalta más que nada aspectos mágicos que poco difieren de los practicados por otros pueblos primitivos; en cambio, casi nada se ha expresado acerca del manejo empírico de las plantas medicinales que, según es fama, fue muy difundido.

Abstract:

Abstract The Cyclida comprise six families embracing 55 species in 17 genera. Diagnoses for each family based upon examination of type and referred material as well as photographs of specimens previously known only from drawings has confirmed that four of the families, Cyclidae Packard, 1885; Americlidae Dzik, 2008; Halicynidae Gall & Grauvogel, 1967; and Schraminidae Dzik, 2008, form a unified group morphologically whereas Alsasuacaridae van Bakel, Jagt, Fraaije & Artal, 2011, and Hemitrochiscidae Trauth, 1918 are morphological outliers. Each of the families is documented by illustrations of type or representative genera and species. To assure accurate and uniform comparisons of taxa, a morphological terminology is presented, recognizing synonymous terms that could potentially obscure evaluation of relationships. This provides a framework for future analysis of membership within each family and for phylogenetic analyses.

Abstract:

Chronic hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) is an important factor in development of arterial hypertension. HHcy is associated with activation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs); however, it is unclear whether HHcy-dependent extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation plays a role in arterial hypertrophy and hypertension. We tested the hypothesis that in HHcy the mechanism of arterial hypertension involves arterial dysfunction in response to ECM accumulation between endothelial and arterial smooth muscle cells and subsequent endothelium-myocyte (E-M) uncoupling. To decrease plasma Hcy, dietary supplementation with 3-deazaadenosine (DZA), the S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase inhibitor, was administered to cystathionine β-synthase (CBS) knockout (KO) mice. Mice were grouped as follows: wild type (WT; control), WT+DZA, CBSKO, and CBSKO+DZA ( n = 4/group). Mean aortic blood pressure and heart rate were monitored in real time with a telemetric system before, during, and after DZA treatment (6 wk total). In vivo aorta function and morphology were analyzed by M-mode and Doppler echocardiography in anesthetized mice. Aorta MMP activity in unfixed cryostat sections was measured with DQ gelatin. Aorta MMP-2, MMP-9, and connexin 43 expression were measured by RT-PCR and Western blot analyses, respectively. HHcy caused increased aortic blood pressure and resistance, tachycardia, and increased wall thickness and ECM accumulation in aortic wall vs. control groups. There was a linear correlation between aortic wall thickness and plasma Hcy levels. MMP-2, MMP-9, and connexin 43 expression were increased in HHcy. In the CBSKO+DZA group, aortic blood pressure and levels of MMP and connexin 43 were close to those found in control groups. However, removal of DZA reversed the aortic lumen-to-wall thickness ratio in CBSKO mice, suggesting, in part, a role of vascular remodeling in the increase in blood pressure in HHcy. The results show that arterial hypertension in HHcy mice is, in part, associated with arterial remodeling and E-M uncoupling in response to MMP activation.

Abstract:

The mapping approach is a powerful tool to looking for the exact solutions for nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, using an improved mapping approach, a series of exact solutions (including solitary wave solutions and periodic wave solutions) of the (2+1)-dimensional dissipative Zabolotskaya Khokhlov (DZK) system is derived. Based on the derived solitary wave solution, we obtain some folded localized excitations of the DZK system.

Abstract:

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan makna kata al-nafs dalam al-Qur’an disertai macam dan karekteristiknya. Dalam al-Qur’an terdapat 295 kata nafs dalam berbagai bentuknya. Kata nafs mempunyai makna yang beragam dalam al-Qur’an; mulaidari ruh, dzat, darah pembeda, dan lainnya. Namun, makna yang sering digunakan untuk memaknai nafs adalah manusia seutuhnya; jasadnya, raganya, akalnya, hatinya dan segala hal yang menjadi bagian dari manusia. Nafs mempunyai ciri, sifat dan karakteristik yang beragam walaupun hakikatnya diciptakan dari dzat yang satu, yaitu Adam. Perbedaan ciri, sifat dan karakteristik tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan budaya tempat ia berada. Di antara ciri nafs adalah tergesa-gesa, lemah, dapat membedakan antara yang baik dan buruk. Sedangkan sifat nafs di antaranya adalah tawadu, makan, minum, berbohong. Adapun karakteristik nafs di antaranya adalah mempunyai insting alami untuk mengetahui hakikat sang pencipta.

Abstract:

Application of shear stress has been shown to unidirectionally orient the microstructures of block copolymers and polymer blends. In the present work, we study the phase separation of a novel nanoparticle (NP)–polymer blend thin film system under shear using a soft-shear dynamic zone annealing (DZA-SS) method. The nanoparticles are densely grafted with polymer chains of chemically dissimilar composition from the matrix polymer, which induces phase separation upon thermal annealing into concentrated nanoparticle domains. We systematically examine the influence of DZA-SS translation speed and thus the effective shear rate on nanoparticle domain elongation and compare this with the counterpart binary polymer blend behavior. Unidirectionally aligned nanoparticle string-domains are fabricated in the presence of soft-shear in confined thin film geometry. We expect this DZA-SS method to be applicable to various NP–polymer blends towards unidirectionally aligned nanoparticle structures, which are important to functional nanoparticle structure fabrication.

This is also supported by extensive isoglosses, replacing the older Bikwin-Jen division at least for purposes of genetic classification. For vowels, a 9-vowel system is reconstructed, but its 3-way height contrasts appear unstable in some languages, either in the central vowels or in the front and back vowels. Front and back vowels also vary widely with diphthongs. Prosodic features of nasalisation, tone, and breathiness are reconstructed, with nasalisation developing in more roots in the second primary branch. For consonants, the large inventory includes particularly unstable coronals, and development of voiceless approximants in Doso-Dza. The comparative evidence is conflicting as to whether labialised and palatalised structures are secondary modifications or onset sequences, suggesting the need for a variationist approach. Overall, riverine Jen varieties Tha, Doso, Dza show unusually extensive sound change, in contrast to the more phonologically stable Bikwin varieties. Applications to orthography development include the need to represent implosives and /r/ in languages other than Dza, where they have been lost, and the need to represent vowel nasalisation and /h/ in languages of the second branch only. Initial stem consonant alternations seen in both nouns and verbs need more investigation in Jen languages.

ZusammenfassungDas Deutsche Zentralkomitee zur Bekämpfung der Tuberkulose e. V. (DZK) feiert in diesem Jahr seinen 125. Geburtstag. Aus diesem Anlass blickt das DZK als eine der weltweit ältesten TB-Organisationen auf seine Entwicklung in diesen 125 Jahren zurück. Die Ergebnisse werden detailliert in einem umfangreichen Buch geschildert und in diesem Artikel zusammengefasst. Hierin spiegeln sich die vielfältigen politischen Veränderungen mit ihren Auswirkungen auf das DZK wider, angefangen vom Kaiserreich, über die Weimarer Republik, das sog. „Dritte Reich“, die beiden nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg getrennten deutschen Staaten und die jetzige Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Die Tuberkulose (TB) war zur Gründungszeit noch die beherrschende Volkskrankheit in Deutschland, heute ist sie weltweit die führende Infektionskrankheit. Als Folge von Migration ist davon auch Deutschland betroffen. Nach zwischenzeitlich – speziell 2015/2016 – deutlich angestiegenen Erkrankungszahlen (insbesondere bei den nicht in Deutschland geborenen Neuerkrankten, die 2019 einen Anteil von 72 % hatten), die Auswirkungen der medikamentenresistenten TB (2019 hatten 11,4 % aller Neuerkrankungen irgendeine [jegliche] Resistenz [384 Fälle], darunter 87 Fälle mit einer MDR-TB und von diesen 8 Fälle mit einer XDR-TB und 27 Fälle einer Prä-XDR-TB) sowie auch der hohe Anteil offener und damit hoch infektiöser Lungentuberkulosen (81,5 % in 2019) zeigen eindrücklich, dass die TB nach wie vor ein auch in Deutschland nicht zu unterschätzendes Gesundheitsproblem darstellt, welches sich zunehmend in Risikogruppen konzentriert (sozial benachteiligte Personen, Menschen aus Hochprävalenzländern, Obdachlose, Drogenabhängige, Alkoholkranke, HIV-Infizierte). Dem DZK kommt daher in der Kontrolle der TB auch heute noch eine wichtige Rolle zu als Bindeglied zwischen den mit der Bekämpfung der TB betrauten nationalen und internationalen Institutionen.

Perceptions of social closeness and familiarity were assessed among 44 monozygotic (MZA) and 33 dizygotic (DZA) reunited twin pairs, and several individual twins and triplets. Significantly greater MZA than DZA closeness and familiarity were found. Closeness and familiarity ratings for co-twins exceeded those for nonbiological siblings with whom twins were raised. Correlations between perceptions of physical resemblance and social closeness and familiarity were positive and statistically significant. However, most correlations between social relatedness and contact time were non-significant. Associations between social relatedness and similarities in selected behavioral traits were also examined. The findings support various theoretical perspectives anticipating greater affiliation among close relatives than distant relatives.

Background: The earliest manifestation of alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) is steatosis, characterized by the accumulation of lipid droplets (LDs) in hepatocytes. Findings from our laboratory have indicated that many pathological changes, including steatosis, correlate with the alcohol-induced hepatocellular increases in S-adenosylhomocysteine (SAH). Based on these considerations, we hypothesized that an experimental increase in intracellular SAH alone will result in similar steatotic changes to those seen after alcohol exposure. Methods: Freshly isolated rat hepatocytes grown on collagen-coated plates were exposed to serum-free medium containing 50 µmol/L oleic acid and varying concentrations of 3-deazaadenosine (DZA) to experimentally elevate intracellular SAH levels. Results: Overnight exposure to DZA treatment dose-dependently increased hepatocellular triglyceride accumulation, which was also evident by morphological visualization of larger-sized LDs. The rise in triglycerides and LDs accompanied increases in mRNA and protein levels of several LD-associated proteins known to regulate LD number and size. Furthermore, DZA treatment caused a decline in the levels of lipases that prevent fat accumulation as well as increased the expression of factors involved in lipogenesis and fatty acid mobilization. Collectively, our results indicate that the elevation of intracellular SAH is sufficient to promote fat accumulation in hepatocytes, which is similar to that seen after alcohol exposure.

Abstract This work presents a simple, sensitive, and generic HPLC–diode-array detection method for the simultaneous determination of six drugs prescribed for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The investigated drugs include brimonidine tartarate (BMN), acetazolamide (AZA), brinzomaide (BZA), dorzolamide HCl (DZA), levobunolol HCl (LVB), and timolol maleate (TIM). Efficient chromatographic separation was achieved using a Thermo Hypersil BDS C18 column (4.6 × 250 mm, 5 µm) with a mobile phase consisting of phosphate buffer pH 5 and acetonitrile in a ratio of 78 + 22. The flow rate was 1 mL/min, and quantification was based on measuring peak areas at 298 nm for TIM and 254 nm for the other drugs. Peaks were perfectly resolved, with retention times at 3.06, 3.87, 4.53, 5.78, 7.31, and 10.78 min for BMN, AZA, DZA, TIM, LVB, and BZA respectively. The developed method was validated according to International Conference on Harmonization guidelines with respect to system suitability, linearity, ranges, accuracy, precision, robustness, and LODs and LOQs. The proposed method showed good linearity in the ranges of 2–80, 2.5–100, 2.5–100, 5–200, 3.75–150, and 1.75–70 µg/mL for BMN, AZA, DZA, TIM, LVB, and BZA, respectively. LODs were 0.20–1.01 μg/mL for the analyzed compounds. Applicability of the proposed method to real-life situations was assessed through the analysis of five different pharmaceutical formulations, and satisfactory results were obtained.

Introduction: Adhering to the astrological recommendations on timing of invasive therapies are a standard practice in gSo-wa Rig-pa based Bhutanese Traditional Medicine. The day (for La-dza, Sog-dza and Shey-dza), lunar date (for La-ney) and time within the day of surgery (for La-ney), along with Wang-thang (field of power) and Lung-ta (Horse of fortune) are important astrological recommendations. However, there are no information about the patients’ knowledge, attitude and practice on astrological recommendations for timing of surgery in an allopathic setting in Bhutan. The study was conducted to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of considering Buddhist astrological recommendations among patients undergoing elective surgeries. Methods: A cross-sectional study with convenient sampling was conducted at the National Referral Hospital, Thimphu from April to May 2018. Data were collected using a pretested interviewer-administered questionnaire. Ethical clearance was obtained from the Research Ethics Board of Health, Bhutan. Results: From 420 participants (response rate 99.5%), 188 (44.8%) were aware that there are astrologically determined good timings to undergo elective surgeries. Only four persons (1.0%) were aware about La-ney. Among those who believed in such astrological recommendations, the attitude were more favourable towards the areas in which they had higher knowledge. Conclusion: The patients had very poor knowledge about the astrological recommendations to choose the timing for surgery. A well designed study on the effect of astrological recommendations on the surgical outcomes is recommended for generating evidence for further action.

The dried sclerotia of Wolfiporia cocos (Schwein.) Ryvarden & Gilb., a traditional Chinese medicine, has triterpenoid as its main active component. Breeding high-yield triterpenoid in W. cocos is an important research topic at present. We screened out two monosporal strains from the same W. cocos 5.78, high-yielding DZAC-Wp-H-29 (H) and low-yielding DZAC-Wp-L-123 (L), and cultured mycelia for 17 days, 34 days, and 51 days, respectively. Transcriptome analysis results showed that triterpenoid synthesis is closely related to gene expression in triterpenoid synthesis pathways (hydroxymethyl glutaryl-CoA reductase (HMGCR), farnesyl diphosphate synthase (FDPS), 4-hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase (COQ2), C-8 sterol isomerase (ERG2), sterol O-acyltransferase (ACAT), tyrosine aminotransferase (TAT), torulene dioxygenase (CAO2), and sterol-4alpha-carboxylate 3-dehydrogenase (erg26)), and is limited by the expression of enzyme M20 combined with domain protein peptide (Pm20d2), aryl-alcohol dehydrogenase (norA), ISWI chromatin-remodeling complex ATPase ISW2, GroES-like protein (adh), cytochrome P450 (ftmP450-1), and unknown proteins unigene0001029 and unigene0011374. In addition, maintaining high triterpenoid accumulation in W. cocos may require a stable membrane structure, so the accumulation ability may be related to the high synthesis ability of sterols. The low accumulation of triterpenoid in W. cocos may be due to the products of key enzymes increasing flow to other pathways.
