Purpose – In introducing e-reserves as an added service of the De La Salle University (DLSU) libraries, the purpose of this paper is to identify the best practices of handling e-reserves and its legal implications as one of the factors that might affect the introduction, development and implementation of such service. Design/methodology/approach – Four universities were considered based from the 2013 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) university rankings in Asia. Only one academic library was maintaining an e-reserve system. It was consulted to know more about their e-reserve practices. Findings – The

The estimates are based on Olson’s market value prediction model – that nests the multiples P/E (price-earnings), P/B (price-book value) and in the oil industry, the P/R (price-reserves) ratio. Reserves are an important characteristic of these firms, but they are not part of equity under usual accounting practices. Using data from firms listed on NYMEX, the results suggest that reserves are positively correlated with firm equity market price. Yet, reserve increases without profit or equity e

Abstract:
The accelerating geopolitical rivalry between major powers has renewed interest in diversifying central bank reserves. Traditionally dominated by the US dollar and gold, global reserve composition is now being reconsidered amid de-dollarization trends and the growing relevance of crypto assets – particularly Bitcoin. This study examines the rationale, risks, and strategic implications of incorporating Bitcoin into sovereign reserve portfolios, with a focus on the financial confrontation between the United States (US) and the People’s Republic of China (China).Adopting an interdisciplinary appr

This research aims to analyze the influence of exchange rate, exports, and imports on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves in the period of 1992-2021. The dependent variable is foreign exchange reserves, whereas the independent variables consist of exchange rate, exports, and imports. The research uses secondary data in time series obtained from Indonesia’s World Bank Data. Data are analyzed with VAR (Vector Auto Regression), those analyzed use E-Views 10 apss by including analysis method, which includes stationary tests, stability tests, optimum lag tests, cointegration tests, VAR estimation

The paper presents data on a new locality of Cyphella digitalis in Poland, in the “Jedlina” nature reserve, in the Mińsk Forest District. This species is included in the Red list of the macrofungi in Poland in category E – endangered (Wojewoda & Ławrynowicz 2006). C. digitalis occurs in Poland in fir stands, often in protected areas (national parks, nature reserves). Basidiomata of C. digitalis were found on the lowest branches of a lying Abies alba (Figs 1, 2). On this tree, in close proximity of the C. digitalis basidiomata, other rare red-listed fungi were also found: Hymenochaete cruen
