Abstract:
At present, zakat payments allow payment via online. Therefore, the relationship between the Amil Zakat Institution and the muzakki must be strengthened, primarily through online zakat payments. E-CRM or what is known as e-Customer Relationship Management is used to facilitate the implementation of CRM in the world of digital payments. E-CRM allows the Amil Zakat Institution to provide appropriate services to satisfy muzakki and increase muzakki loyalty in paying zakat through online applications. Also, the E-CRM feature is essential for management. Zakat Payer Relations Online, without the e-CRM feature, CRM in the world of online zakat payments cannot be realized. Some literature there is no theoretical model for E-CRM implementation on online zakat payments. Besides, there are shortcomings in previous studies that focused on identifying the importance and categorization of e-CRM features in the various stages of the transaction cycle. So, this study seeks to fill the information gap based on empirical data obtained from the survey. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between E-CRM features in online zakat payments and online zakat payer loyalty at various stages of the pre-payment, when-payment, and post-payment transaction cycle. The results of this study indicate that the use of E-CRM in online zakat payment applications can affect the satisfaction and loyalty of online zakat payers. Research contributes to the role of the E-CRM feature in increasing the loyalty of zakat payers online at various stages of the payment cycle. What's more, this study highlights the critical elements of the E-CRM program, where online zakat payment applications must invest to increase the loyalty of zakat payers.

Abstract:
Introduction and Background: As people's lifestyles and behaviour toward daily digital activities are changing, a suitable zakat payment option is required to encourage Muslims to fulfil their commitments. Zakat institutions use technology; as a result, to attract more people to pay zakat. The acceptance is, however, dubious due to data misuse and platform security worrisome. Hence, this study aims to investigate Malaysian Muslims’ acceptance of the e-payment zakat system.

Methodology: In this descriptive study, a survey was carried out on 170 zakat payers in Malaysia. Five constructs were examined in the survey, based on Technology Acceptance Model, which are Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude, Intention, and User Acceptability. Data were analysed in linear and logistic regression using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).
Findings: Results revealed that Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use significantly impacted Attitude's decision to use electronic payment channels for zakat payments. The correlation between Attitude and Intention for online zakat payment was found to be positive. User acceptability was significantly influenced by the Perceived Usefulness of the e-payment platform and the Intention to pay zakat online.

Contribution: Understanding that User Acceptability is influenced by Perceived Usefulness and Intention would allow the zakat institution to comprehend the user requirement for zakat payment applications. The study findings have implications zakat authorities to enhance the digital platform for zakat payments to ease users by leveraging technology to streamline the donation process and make it more convenient, secure, and transparent.

Abstract:
Background and Purpose: Online payment is an important method of transaction widely practiced across the globe. Due to its flexibility and convenience, it has been a popular method of payments in recent times especially in important religious matters such as zakat, one of the pillars of Islam. Since it is an important religious obligation, the relevant authorities need to identify factors that would facilitate the payment of zakat from the perspective of zakat payers, especially in difficult times of the 2020-2021 pandemic situation. Thus, the aim of this paper is to identify factors that influence the intention of using electronic payment (e-payment) platforms to pay zakat. In addition, the mediating role of attitude will also be analysed in examining the relationships between perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use to zakat payment intention.

Methodology: The present study employed a survey method to assemble data pertaining to attitude, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as potential factors that determine user’s behavioural intention of e-payment zakat in Malaysia. 193 questionnaires were responded to and analysed via Partial Least Square (PLS) with the Smart-PLS 3.0 software.

Findings: Results showed that significant aspects such as perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have positive bearings on attitude and intention to use zakat e-payment platform. The study also found that Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) are growing in popularity and the zakat authorities and fin-tech companies are establishing greater synergies tool.

Contributions: The findings put forward that Zakat institutions may need to improvise their e-payment platform to attract zakat payers. Besides, the findings also highlight the behavioural intention of zakat payers in response to technological advancement that the providers and users should acknowledge. Hence, it is expected that the collection of zakat would be increased in the future via e-payment platform.

Abstract:
The technology evolution in the zakat collection and payment services has brought about a profound transformation in the global processes of gathering and distributing charitable contributions. Despite witnessing a positive trend in annual zakat collection in Malaysia, it has yet to reach its optimal level. Therefore, predictions regarding performance and comparisons across multiple models for online zakat collection hold crucial significance in improving the overall collection rate. This paper, utilizing data from 230 zakat payers, presents an empirical assessment of various machine learning algorithms aimed at predicting zakat payer intentions when utilizing online platforms for zakat payments. Additionally, this paper presents the analysis of machine learning features importance to justify the effect of technology acceptance model (TAM) and theory of technology readiness (TR) attributes in the machine learning algorithms for predicting e-zakat payment service adoption intention. The findings show that many of the machine learning models are able to perform for highly accurate results, with most achieving over 80% accuracy. The most crucial attribute influencing these predictions was found to be the TAM. This study's methodology is designed to be easily replicable, allowing for further detailed exploration of both the influencing factors and the machine learning algorithms used.

Abstract:
The World Health Organization's (WHO) physical separation policy has advised consumers to participate in contactless activities, including financial transactions. As the COVID-19 pandemic worsen, governments worldwide are promoting contactless payments. They are worried that the COVID-19 virus might be transmitted through cash. This has encouraged the using of e-wallet. Unlike the previous studies, this study contributes to the literature by combining the expanded Technology of Acceptance Theory (TAM) and the Fear of COVID-19 scale (FCV-19S) to identify the factors influencing the usage of e-wallets to pay zakat during the COVID-19 pandemic among the lecturers at Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah in Selangor, Malaysia. Data are collected by means of questionnaire and by using random sampling, the total number of respondents is 274. Data are analysed using PLS-SEM. Evidence suggests zakat institutional support, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use all influence e-wallet adoption for zakat payments. Intentions also play a role in the usage of e-wallet systems for zakat payments. Unfortunately, perceived risks and fear of COVID-19 do not trigger respondents to use e-wallet in zakat payment during the pandemic. This is due to the higher vaccination rate among Malaysian and mostly because the respondent is in the coping phase where they are trying to live with the fact that COVID-19 is everywhere. For this reason, zakat organisations must strengthen their marketing and promotional efforts. To make clients feel safe, zakat institutions must reduce risk factors, such as ensuring that e-wallet payments function seamlessly. To encourage future zakat payments, e-wallet platform’s provider must enhance their reputations, services, and advertising.
