Abstract:
Abstract BACKGROUND Optimal management for symptomatic steroid-refractory pseudoprogression (rPsP) following IMRT for Glioblastoma remains poorly defined. This study examined radiological volumetric response and clinical outcomes following use of early Bevacizumab (earlyBEV), defined as commencing during or within 3 months of IMRT. METHODS Consecutive patients managed with Stupp60Gy IMRT between 2016-2023 for Glioblastoma were analysed for those patients receiving earlyBEV for rPsP. Volumetric analysis was performed with sequential MRI T1gd/T2 sequences using preBEV and postBEV scans. Primary

Abstract:
Pyrus calleryana and nine cultivars were evaluated for fireblight susceptibility, flowering, growth habit, fall leaf color, and fruiting in southern conditions. Disease susceptibility to fireblight (Erwinia amylovora) was monitored during the spring season. Aristocrat and Autumn Blaze were highly susceptible as indicated by the number of infected shoots per tree and shoot length dieback. Bradford was the least sensitive to fireblight. Bradford was the earliest flowering cultivar, with flowering beginning in late March to early April and Aristocrat was the last cultivar to flower, beginning 10-

Abstract:
The phase diagram of the equilibrium CO–Ar system has been studied by an x-ray diffraction method. It was established that a monotectoid transformation exists in this system, in addition to the eutectoid transformation found earlyer by Barrett and Meyer. It is shown that a region above the monotectoid transformation temperature (T = 56.2° K) contains two phases with the same hexagonal symmetry, differing appreciably in the lattice volumes and, evidently, in the short-range orientational order. This region is limited from above by the existence curve with a critical concentration point at T = 5

Abstract:
Cyclopentenone prostaglandin derivatives of arachidonic acid are potent inducers of apoptosis in a variety of cancer cell types. Several investigators have shown that the terminal derivative of prostaglandin J2(PGJ2) metabolism, 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-PGJ2(15dPGJ2), induces apoptosis in breast cancer cells and is a potent activator of the nuclear hormone receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), but 15dPGJ2effects can be mediated by PPARγ-dependent and PPARγ-independent mechanisms. Here we report that 15dPGJ2regulates early gene expression critical to apoptosis. Specifically, 15d

Abstract:
This PhD thesis deals with the use of structural methods of objects identification for industrial robots operation. First, the present state of knowledge in the field is described, i.e. the whole process of objects recognition with the aid of common methods of the syntactic analysis. The main disadvantage of these methods is that is impossible to recognize objects whose digitalized image is corrupted in some ways (due to excessive noise or image disturbances), objects are therefore deformed. Further, other methods for the recognition of deformed objects are described. These methods use structu
