A significant component of recent space exploration has been unmanned mission to comets and asteroids. The increase in interest for these bodies necessitates an increase in demand for higher fidelity trajectory simulations in order to assure mission success. Most available methods for simulating trajectories about asymmetric bodies assume they are of uniform density. This thesis examines a hybrid method that merges a mass concentration ("mascon") model and a spherical harmonic model using the "Brillouin sphere" as the interface. An interview study was undertaken to explore Swedish broiler producers´ views for the potential of hops (H. lupulus L.) to reduce reliance on ionophorous coccidiostats in broiler production. The design was a mixed methodology between grounded theory and case study with a semi structured interview method. Nine producers, four using ionophorous coccidiostats and five without reliance in production accepted interview. During interviews participants were presented to research conducted with hops in production and consequences from ionophores in production. All participants thought the risk from pa

Globally, the largest source of atmospheric NH3 is domestic animal waste contributing 20-35 Tg of nitrogen per year. In North Carolina, hog waste accounts for 47% of all ammonia emissions in North Carolina. This is the result of a huge increase in hog population since the 1980?s from 3 million to 10 million. Currently swine waste is managed using Lagoon and Spray Technology (LST) also known as ?conventional? technology. A LST uses anaerobic lagoons to store the hog waste, and effluent from lagoons is sprayed on surrounding crops as a source of nutrients. This technology lead to a number source

The world is about to shift from fossil fuel dependency to independency. The national agenda of Sweden has put forth future goals of becoming a zero net greenhouse gas emitter by the year 2045 and before that, having an 80 % fossil fuel independent transportation fleet by 2030. In order to achieve these goals, the form of energy used in the transport sector needs to be changed into a more renewable solution. Biogas could be part of the solution. The aim of this report has been to review earlier research regarding the future biogas potential in Sweden and to examine how realistic and practicall

Bulk rock geochemistry obtained via XRF from four samples of Pilot Knob verifies the transitionally alkaline composition of the body, and new REE data also show enriched La, Ce, and Nd concentrations, consistent with rare earth element (REE) enrichment. Given the increased demand for REEs over the past ~30 years and China accounting for > 90% of global REE production (Kynicky, et al. 2012), it is important to
