Abstract:
Abstract BACKGROUND In a classic DSC perfusion sequence, T1 and T2* leakage effects compete in determining the post-bolus signal, and are influenced by tissue geometry (i.e. cell density, cell size). Different DSC sequences can be variously influenced by these effects, depending on the different degree of T1 weighting and the pre-bolus administration. Multi-echo spin-and-gradient echo (SAGE) perfusion MRI enables to disentangle T2* and T1 components that contribute to the classic DSC curve, and to simultaneously compute DSC and DCE perfusion metrics. METHODS We retrospectively selected patient

Abstract:
Abstract Dynamic susceptibility contrast (DSC) MRI measures of brain tumor cerebral blood volume (CBV) are able to predict grade, overall survival and response to treatment. Wide-spread acceptance of DSC-MRI has been challenged by the need to balance contrast agent dose and CBV accuracy. The goal of this study was to identify and validate single-dose, BTIP compliant, DSC-MRI protocols. Using a validated, patient-based DRO, we evaluated CBV accuracy across a range of acquisition parameters (field strength, TR, TE, flip angle, multi-echo acquisitions, dosing protocols) and post-processing steps.

Abstract BACKGROUND Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are a key component of glioblastoma (GBM) tumor microenvironment. Considering the differential role of different TAM phenotypes in iron metabolism with the M1 phenotype storing intracellular iron, and M2 phenotype releasing iron in the tumor microenvironment, here we investigated non-invasive quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) and T2* MRI relaxometry to quantify iron as imaging biomarkers for TAMs in adult patients with GBM. METHODS In this prospective study, 21 adult patients with GBM were enrolled between 2016 to 2019. Patients u

Pojęcia języka prawnego i prawniczego mają swoją rozwichrzoną historię.

Following the Kyoto Conference on Climate Change (COP3) held in 1997, the improvement of thermal efficiency in power engineering systems is becoming a major issue. In High Temperature Materials 21 Project at NIMS, materials for turbine blades and vanes are being developed to improve the temperature capability and reduce the CO2 emission of industrial gas turbines (IGT) and jet engines. The target for Ni-base superalloys was set at 1100°C for 1000h creep rupture life under 137MPa to realize ultra-efficient combined cycle power plants and advanced jet engines. Abstract Field developments with chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery flooding processes (Polymer and Alkaline- Surfactant-Polymer, ASP) are growing within the PDO’s portfolio. Therefore, the need to quickly screen field cases, from the overall PDO’s portfolio, with promising potential for cEOR floods is of great importance. This review of this cEOR portfolio analysis has started in 2023, and it is updated from the pre- vious 2019 cEOR analysis. The presented screening approach highlights the Expected Ultimate Recovery (EUR) and economic parameter (UTC) from the studied cases under polymer and ASP f
