Abstract:
Ecocriticism has tended to avoid modernist texts in favour of ones that make vivid, epiphanic reference to nature. Beckett's states, in common with some environmentalists, that “there's no more nature” – but refuses to reveal the dimensions of its absence. Reread as a precursor to ecocriticism, it is paradoxically the perfect play for the era of anxiety about climate change, which eludes both sensory apprehension and generic representation.

Abstract:
Abstract This study explores how 16 individuals who grew up during the four-year long military siege of the city employ language to make sense of their everyday experiences in Sarajevo following the conclusion of the Bosnian War. Narrative inquiry is employed in this work to study sense-making, a psychological process based in language and situated in interaction with extant social and physical landscapes. During the study, participants wrote responses across the three narrative contexts (1) the prewar, (2) the acute war, and (3) the postwar. Data analyses examine how participants enact ecological landscape in narrative construction through varied use of prepositions across the three narrative contexts. Significantly higher use of prepositions in the acute war narrative context indicates that growing up amidst urban destruction gives rise to thought processes that draw on spatial and temporal relations in order to make sense of radical environmental changes in the landscape of war.

Abstract:
The essay investigates the trajectory of the notion of sustainability, starting from the founding moments of the ecological thought and the environmental crisis. The author highlights the substantial failure of culture and policies for sustainable de-velopment and the limited contribution of humanistic, social, and arts disciplines to the construction of a different relationship between human beings and the envi-ronment. The backwards cultural path, to the rediscovery of ecologized and trans-disciplinary thought, ends with an analysis of research and dominant educational models.

Abstract:
Seyyed Hossein Nasr, one of the Islamic thinkers who have a serious concern and deep concern over the occurrence of the ecological crisis. Forest destruction, pollution, water, and air are clear examples that can be seen in life today. According to him, the root of the problem lies in humans as actors, who have lost their sense of awe and concern for themselves and the universe. Such a state is the result of eroding the awareness of the holy. So that for him the ecological crisis is the result of a spiritual crisis. Therefore, the question arises, what is Nasr's attitude about the ecological crisis and his spirituality? How is the concept of ecological Sufism in his thinking? By examining his thoughts, and his works, researchers will analyze with a philosophical approach to answer these problems. This study states, as a result of its findings, that the concept of ecological Sufism is the relationship between Sufism and ecological values by looking at problems in the environmental crisis. Awareness of Sufism-spirituality has an important role in addressing the ecological crisis. The concept of ecological Sufism is an alternative thought to answer the problem of the ecological crisis and the spiritual crisis in modern humans.

Abstract:
"Unity of Man and Nature" is one of the main thoughts in Chinese traditional culture. Its core significance is mainly manifested in the understanding of the relationship between heaven and man. Based on the longitudinal review and brief analysis of the thought of "Unity of Man and Nature" in "Zhouyi", the Confucian culture, Taoist culture and Buddhist culture, we attempt to mix the ecological ethics idea into the thought of "Unity of Man and Nature"; tries to make this traditional culture exude a new brilliance so that it can cope with the serious ecological crisis, and provide intellectual support and theoretical support for the protection of the ecological environment.

Abstract:
AbstractAgainst a background of increasing concern over climate change and other instances of ecological degradation, this paper aims to explore two ideas in the thought of Anglican theologian and biochemist Arthur Peacocke in relation to their ecotheological promise. First, Peacocke’s understanding of ‘emergence’ affirms the diversity of the created world and makes possible the understanding of Jesus Christ as the emergence of a new reality; these concepts resonate with the value given to biodiversity in ecological thought. Second, the idea that God expresses Godself through the material world in the process of creation, together with an emphasis on the biophysical composition of Jesus Christ, allows a high claim to be made for matter which resonates with an ecological affirmation of the value of the natural world. By asserting the prevalence of diversity and the value of matter, Peacocke’s thought provides a theological framework which coheres with an ecological ethos.

Abstract:
This article develops the idea of ‘ecological freedom’ from Aldo Leopold’s account of ecological relations in terms of the dual notions of the “freedom from want and fear” and the “freedom to make mistakes.” Through an analysis of Leopold’s thought on technology and civilization, I develop and argue for the claim that direct experience of ecological relations, or ecological freedom, is vital to meaningful human life. The absence of ecological freedom constitutes a form of ecological alienation, which is paired with social alienation. Ecological freedom is then used as a way to understand environmental injustice and critique contemporary environmentalism.

Ecology is the science of studying the relationship between the living organisms and their environment. And the Environmental Science, which reveals the basic law of the harmonious development of society, economy and environment, is the discipline studying the interaction of people and environment. Ecology is not only the basic disciplines of environmental science, but also the scientifically recognized theoretical basis of environmental ethics. Tsunzi, a master on the Confucianism, one of the most distinguished Confucianists of the pre-Qin period, made the conception of sustainable development penetrate into his ecological ethics thoughts on the basis of philosophical thinking-Nature has its true law. If we hackle, inherit, comprehend, and utilize critically Tsunzis thought on ecological ethics, there will be some significant enlightening value for us to not only establish the theory of environmental ethics but also solve the increasing ecological crises facing humanity.

Although in St. Augustine’s time there was no ecological consciousness like the one we have today and the relationship with the environment was conditioned by other elements, the Augustinian thought about creation is extremely rich, and it helps us to discover different essential elements that can guide the ecological reflection in the present. The article presents some essential lines of the Augustinian ecological thought, such as the Augustinian thought about creation, the Trinity, the importance of Sacred Scripture, the doctrine of uti et frui, the universal destiny of the created things, the order, the Providence of God, the Trinity’s traces in all creatures as is presented in the text of Wis 11, 21, and it also stresses the linking of Protology with Eschatology in Augustine’s ecological thought.
