Abstract:
The OECD's skills strategy and policy highlights skills ahead of formal qualifications and draws attention to the importance of work-based learning (apprenticeships). In the economy, given the utilisation of the skill set of individuals at the workplace level, the conscious management of the knowledge and skills of the organisation now appears to be an efficiency-increasing factor. One way to do this is to involve and mentor economically inactive groups (students / new entrants, low-skilled social groups and pensioners) in the labour market. Mentoring should be treated as a discrete area, but one that is still a part of the organisation's strategically defined human resource management and knowledge management system, in which the goals, roles, processes, responsibilities and benefits, as well as the possibilities for development, are clarified. This study analyses the educational and economic context of mentoring, the nature of mentoring and the possibility of its application; its conclusions provide an appropriate framework for developing a mentoring programme.

This article points out to some aspects of knowledge management in the educational process of a higher education school and its surroundings. Without proper human capital of lecturers (academic staff), students and the structural capital of the school, the expansiveness, movement and conversion of knowledge would not be possible. In a knowledge society, the role of academic education is widely perceived, and its tasks and missions continue to intensify, attempting to keep up with the increasingly globalized contemporary world – in different areas and fields, in which a human being operates, having an influence on its continuous progress, namely evolution.Academic education is the driving force of economic and social life. Academic thought, scientific potential and scientific research conducted at higher education schools, co-operation between academics and students in this field with public administration and scientists (the university environment), on whom the future of the nation depends, are just key demands presented in this article.

Galassi, Giuseppe. "Epistemological aspects of the economic control." De Computis - Revista Española de Historia de la Contabilidad 16, no. 1 (June 26, 2019): 31. http://dx.doi.org/10.26784/issn.1886-1881.v16i1.343.

Abstract:
Epistemology is essential for probing the fundamental issues of the management sciences, included the ‘economic control process’. The paper aims to highlight the connections between economia aziendale, the typical Italian research program, as well as the traditional research programs of Continental European Countries, with a theoretical reconstruction founded also on modern epistemological issues. One fundamental question, for instance, is about the ‘true’ information or knowledge conveyed by a financial statement, taking into account that economia aziendale, the general system, was conceived as consisting of interrelated sub-systems of management, organization and data gathering for planning and control. The ‘economic control’, both antecedent, concomitant and subsequent, refers to the azienda, the economic entity, that is to every kind of economic unit, not only to the business enterprise. The ‘economic control’ is concerned with social responsibility, ethical conduct, as well as with ‘evidence’, ‘proof’, opinions and judgments. The credibility of a hypothesis depends on the associated evidence, so it is not independent from the strength of the entire argument, ‘evidence plus hypothesis’. The ‘degree of confidence’ implies probability, specifically the bayesian approach for modifying early prior valuations in the light of further information, obtaining revised posterior probabilities. The essential requirement of a proof is that it is ‘psychologically satisfying’; the problem of the controller’s independence stresses the controlling ethical standards. The code of ethics and rules of conduct should serve to identify responsibilities and aims involved – greater accountability through better information about ends and means – and to underline the need for a theoretical foundation about ethics of accounting and economic controlling. Of particular interest is the dichotomy ‘subjective-objective’ related also to economic reality, every kind of reality, included physical as well as cultural ones. This brings directly in the field of accounting and ‘entity economics’ metaphors. The economic controlling process is tightly connected to interpersonal analogy and to the ‘social agreement approach’ to ‘objectivity’ and scientific methodology. There is often no possible control through ‘correspondence’ with definite aspects of reality, economic-financial events themselves. System theorists employ many concepts that correspond to ‘independent reality’ only through ‘indicator hypotheses’ such as ‘business income’ magnitude, the best proxy of the economic efficiency of the ‘business entity’.

Abstract:
Summary Dynamic capabilities and knowledge management The dynamic capabilities concept was formed and has been developed by integration of evolutionary theory, transaction cost theory, and the organisational learning and tacit knowledge concepts. As a result, it helps to weaken essential dichotomies of the strategic management theory, especially those relating to „internal and external” factors, a task that is of particular topical interest in today’s environment. The concept has at the centre of its attention the knowledge of the firm on how to manage its resources proactively in order to form new asset combinations and thereby capture economic rent. This knowledge is of particular importance if firms are to compete in the knowledge economy. The dynamic capabilities paradigm opens up perspectives for the all-encompassing analysis of various business strategy aspects, especially those that are crucial in ensuring a firm’s longterm success, such as entrepreneurship, change management or knowledge-based competitiveness. The concept of dynamic capabilities reveals what in fact amounts to a new mechanism of developing competitive advantages, one that is characteristic of innovative, informationdriven economy. This mechanism is founded not just on the firm’s pool of tacit knowledge (its key strategic asset), but primarily on the firm’s ability to capture economic returns from its knowledge assets. An argument may be put forward that the dynamic capabilities concept is at the core of a new strategy paradigm being formulated, and forms part of a new stage in strategic management theory

Abstract:
The article discusses various aspects of the crisis in Russia. It is specified that in Russia there is management, financial and economic crisis, deepened by aggressive policies of the USA and its satellites, the obvious one is the next stage of new geopolitical repartition of the world. The main reasons that led to the current state of the domestic economy are given. To improve the situation the most important aspect is innovative government policy, and knowledge management, in which special place is occupied by information resources and education of labor resources. It is determined that the new ideas that are being developed by highly qualified personnel, possessing deep knowledge in modern conditions, become a source of economic development of the region. The necessity of integration of educational institutions with research institutions on the basis of industrial complex and business structures in the form of a scheme "education – science – personnel – investment – firm - region – business", representing a set of interrelated and interconnected processes that form the overall innovation potential of any economic system, is proved. In the Russian economy, which is based on knowledge, the structure of employment is changing; an increasing share is for workers of intellectual labor in the structure of the working population, the proportion of employees with higher education increases, which is a natural result of development of productive forces in the course of scientific and technical progress. One of the modern requirements to the employees is their ability to train and re-train. A special role in the formation of highly qualified personnel for the Russian economy is designated to information resources, the value increases significantly, they are easily replicated, have increasing marginal utility, they are characterized by positive externalities and discriminatory prices.

Abstract This article makes a contribution to the ongoing paradigmatic debate concerning management science, aiming to define more precisely its constructs. At present, within this field there is a lack of definition, of a universally accepted way of seeing reality, which results in a clear deficit in pedagogical identity. Our proposal for a new paradigm is based on three descriptors or constructs (prisms): organization, knowledge, and safety (OKS); in this model, the leading role is played by human. The “organization” prism, in the classic sense, concerns the organization with an emphasis on the implementation of the personalistic vision of human. The “knowledge” prism includes the technical, social, and economic aspects of the collection, processing, and use of knowledge. The “security” prism is an aspect related to the identification and prevention of crises and threats to the functioning of the OKS triad as a whole.

The following processes pose challenges for the organization: self-establishment in the market economy, restructuring, globalization, development of techniques and technology, formation of information society, development of a knowledge economy, change of the society economic situation and democratic processes. In the organization which is constantly changing a new approach to the organization is formed. It is viewed as an operating system where company employees, i.e., human resources, become the most important and the most active part of the system, determining the efficiency of the pursuing of organizational goals. In the constantly changing organization a new approach to the organization is formed. It is viewed as an operating system where company employees, i. e., human resources, become the most important and the most active part of the system, determining the efficiency of the pursuing of organization objectives. Human resource management process cannot be separated from the strategy. Strategic human resource management is a part of strategic management concept in the organization. Theoretical provisions for the management of human resources, presented in the academic literature, confirm the influence of this functional area of management on the overall organization performance results. For the organization, which is operating in the global market, it is essential to manage existing or potential labor resources effectively. One of the main staff evaluation criteria is the effectiveness of personnel management. New tendencies encourage closer association of human resource management with organization strategy. “Four-C” model competence, commitment, compliance and cost efficiency is helpful in assessing the effectiveness of organization human resources policies conformity with its strategy.

AbstractPurpose: The purpose of this paper is to promote the integration of sustainable development concepts and conceptual models in engineering research, and therefore, to enhance sustainability of research models. Particularly, the concepts are integrated with an integrated theoretical model of knowledge management and DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analysis-Improve-Control) process.Methodology: Based on literature, the key concepts of sustainable development, knowledge management, Ontology and DMAIC methodology have been reviewed. A theoretical combination of knowledge management, ontology engineering, and DMAIC methodology is to aim at accumulating and reusing a potential economic resource, knowledge resource. An analysis of sustainable aspects of a proposed model is presented.Important findings: As literature expressed that knowledge created by every step of a DMAIC process can be accumulated and reused by using Ontology in a conceptual model. Furthermore, sustainable aspects of the model such as economy, environment and society are identified. Conclusion: DMAIC knowledge is a potential economic resource that should be shared and reused using Ontology engineering in order to archive sustainable development of DMAIC process. Theoretical integration of seven sustainable measures with activities of knowledge management is possible and realizable.

Abstract:
As compared to the economic losses, social and psychological losses are of equal importance in discussing the losses when encountering fraud. Taking advantage of a perspective paper form (i.e., free writing style with a mix of description, analysis, and comments) with in-depth discussions and well-developed propositions, we combine considerations from the knowledge gap, platform quality, and risk management to discuss the comparative seriousness of different fraud-caused losses. The conceptual model mainly articulates on a series of relationships among different degrees of knowledge gap, platform quality, and risk management in predicting the various combinative losses in the economic, social, and psychological aspects. Propositions follow. First, when the knowledge gap is higher, the economic losses of being cheated on the internet will be higher, while lower in social and psychological losses. Second, when perceived platform quality is higher, the economic losses of being cheated on the internet will be lower, while higher in social and psychological losses. Third, when platform risk management is better, all aspects of being cheated on the internet will be lower. Based on the assumption of network externality, we also argue that the multiple dimensions of fraud-caused losses may damage e-auction sustainability. Theoretical and practical implications will be discussed.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to review and critique the knowledge management (KM) literature within Entrepreneurial universities, providing an overview of the state of research and outlining a future research agenda. Design/methodology/approach In a systematic literature review, 1106 articles indexed at Scopus were initially submitted to a bibliometric analysis. Finally, 150 papers published in a variety of academic journals specializing in the field of Entrepreneurship, KM and Higher Education were analyzed through a content and a bibliometric analysis to minimize mistakes in interpreting findings of collected studies. Findings KM within entrepreneurial university is a research area of growing importance. Findings show that literature on KM models and tools in the entrepreneurial university is fragmented and dominated by unrelated research. Content analysis shows heterogeneous literature, but four major research streams emerge: knowledge transfer in university–industry collaboration; knowledge creation in entrepreneurship education; KM processes for university spin-offs; entrepreneurial university to support knowledge-based regional development. The results show a failure to address the implications of findings for policy makers, which risks making KM in entrepreneurial universities research irrelevant. Research limitations/implications Although different structured literature reviews (SLRs) exist separately in the field of KM and entrepreneurial universities, to the authors’ best knowledge, no studies exist in the intersection between the two fields. Originality/value The paper presents the first attempt to provide a comprehensive SLR of the articles dealing with models and processes of KM in the entrepreneurial university. Despite the increasing literature, this research area is still fragmented and undertheorized, thus requiring more systematic and holistic studies, considering both the economic and the social aspects of KM within universities. The paper’s findings can offer insights into future research avenues.

Rivers and streams cannot be viewed without the vegetation growing in and alongside it. The riverine ecosystem is strongly organized by the presence of plants in interaction with flow and morphological processes. This creates challenges for water management, as a profound knowledge of these interactions is needed when management decisions must be made. At the same time other aspects of water management, such as societal-economic demands, might compromise the depth at which these processes can be studied and incorporated in the daily management of these systems.

Abstract:
The Central Java is known as one of the important centres of batik development, and several towns and cities in the region are closely associated with batik. Those may include Pekalongan, Surakarta, Lasem, Pati, Tuban, and Semarang. Batik centres help with the sustainable development of batik in Indonesia, but –especially nowadays, efforts need to be made to pass the knowledge and skills of creating batik, so as to make it interesting, attractive, and easy. Besides, efforts are needed to retain and sustain the cultural heritage so that the Indonesian original products remain in the possession of the nation. The WIKI model enables anybody to become a contributor, putting the thoughts on batik in writing, onto the prepared WIKI. This paper discusses the application of a knowledge management method –such that of WIKI’s– that is put forward by Ikujiro Nonaka, the formulation of which is known as SECI. The good documentation of both tacit and explicit objects may enable the step-by-step tracing of knowledge, so that the original source of knowledge is known. This study also adapts a design to retrieve local knowledge and communal identity created by Chuenrudeemol, focusing on aspects of artistic, social and cultural values, and also economic values, with respect to domestic and gender issues.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to illuminate motivations and “pull” factors of academics engaging in knowledge transfer (KT).Design/methodology/approachIn total, 15 in‐depth interviews were conducted with experienced, KT active (KTAs) academics to reveal their motivations and pull factors for engaging. Data were transcribed and submitted to template analysis to achieve qualitative conceptual “saturation”, from which a conjuctural analysis of conceptual relations was derived.FindingsFrom the data, seven thematic areas were inducted: values‐in‐practice, motivations and “buzz moments”, purposive activities, the academic context, the journey of the KTA, pedagogy and perceptions of risk.Research limitations/implicationsThe interview sample (12 males, three females) of active KTAs can be seen as a representative and authentic regional sample from the Midlands – who had carried out both teaching, research and KT aspects within their academic roles. In total, 120,000 words of dialogue were candidly reported, attesting to conceptual coherence.Practical implicationsThe results concur with some existing literature on conceptualising the KTA as an academic intrapreneur, but also highlight aspects of how this role conceptually differs from non‐KTA academics. This has implications for the recruitment, development and retention of KTAs, in addition to facilitating their roles in higher education institutions (HEIs).Originality/valueThis paper constitutes a unique induction of a conceptual model for a relatively new economic and operational phenomenon in HEIs: the KTA. The authors consider various approaches to understanding the specifics of the urban environment and global social shifts connected with an increase of the concentration of the population of various countries within large megalopolises and a shrinkage of economic space; they also analyze the socio-economic, cultural and worldview aspects predetermined by these tendencies. A distinctive feature is a systematic view of the processes taking place in megalopolises under the influence of modern trends in informatization and digitalization of social development. The article considers the megalopolis as an object of scientific knowledge, assesses the relationship of urban studies, as an extremely important modern interdisciplinary science with other sciences, which makes it possible to understand the internal laws of the development of large cities, and presents the current trends and contradictions of their development.

The aim of this research was to explore the implementation of strategic management approaches in Greek tourism and hospitality businesses during economic crises, in order to further expand our current knowledge of operating in a turbulent environment and embracing novel aspects by linking economic crises with the current literature on the COVID-19 pandemic. This research emphasizes the connection between the strategic management approaches of 131 tourism organizations and hospitality business performance by analyzing entrepreneurs’ opinions and hospitality business markets. The results reveal that a significant percentage of the participants understand and use some strategic management procedures, and some strategy in general, but there is a lack of a concrete strategy for managing the turbulent environment caused by an economic crisis. However, a large percentage of small tourism businesses are completely unaware of strategic management approaches, and their knowledge of implementing a strategy during an economic crisis is limited. The practical implications of this research can act as a navigator of the economic consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract:
Summary Subject and purpose of work: The work presents the emergence and shaping of basic economic issues since the dawn of human economic activity. Contemporary views on important economic issues have their roots in antiquity. The shaping of concepts such as money, interest, contract, credit as a part of the law, began a long time ago and exerted an influence on the way they are understood today. Materials and methods: The basis for the considerations is the study of literature on the history of the development of economics and the science of management in economic, philosophical and ethical aspects. The work has shown the non-linear nature of the development of new phenomena emerging in volatile political, technical, religious and moral conditions, which are largely spontaneous, and a reciprocal overlap of various fields of knowledge in a general and individual sense. Particular discoverers were found to present a wide spectrum of interests. Results: Historically, the development of economic knowledge began with the issues from the border of economics and management, from microeconomics (household) to macroeconomics (money); little information concerns large undertakings such as irrigation systems, pyramids or waging wars. Conclusions: Generally speaking - monarchs’ edicts came before the deliberations of thinkers, concrete reasoning came before abstract considerations.

Abstract:
Indian agriculture is a complex enterprise involving millions of small and marginal farmers. Agriculture in India is the most important sector for food security and socio-economic development. Agriculture accounted for about 18 per cent of the GDP and employed about 50% of the country’s population. As agriculture has become more complex, farmers’ access to reliable, timely, and relevant information has become increasingly important. Farmers require access to more varied, multisource and context-specific information, related not only to best practices and technologies for crop production and weather, but also to information about post-harvest aspects, including processing, marketing, storage, and handling. An effective agricultural knowledge management system with effective Information Technologycan trigger continuous innovations in overall development of agriculture. Information Technology can revolutionize Indian farming sector and can benefit all farmers, including small land holders, marginalized and poor farmers. This article attempts to express the current status ofthe infrastructure with respect to the use of information technology in agriculture and study the importance of knowledge management and information technology in agricultural infrastructure on agriculturesupply chain.

Abstract:
Teaching students awareness about sustainable mobility has been lacking to date. There is a need to expand the themes being addressed in order to achieve a change in attitude. Society needs to design a curriculum that teaches about sustainable mobility to guarantee a better environment for future generations. This article presents the most important results of an experiment based on gamification to promote the education of sustainable mobility in primary school classrooms. This new teaching method, aimed at children aged 10–12 years old, applies non-gambling play metaphors to real-life tasks to motivate a change in attitude. The didactic approach was developed using the ClassCraft platform to create specific activities that consider the environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainable mobility. The initial analysis revealed a perception about sustainable mobility that focused on environmental problems with very little input on the economic and social aspects. The experience has shown that by using the gamified ClassCraft tool applying structured activities about all aspects of sustainable mobility, the pupils acquired new concepts that clarified the social and economic components and began to develop a conscience about how to become an active part in behavioural change.

Abstract:
The paper discusses the methodological aspects of the principles of adaptive management for socio-economic, economic-ecological and other systems. Adaptive management includes a set of methods that allow to change the parameters of the regulating system depending on management actions and outcomes and external impacts. Adaptive management is based inter alia on the principles of precedence (past experience) and transcendence (beyond experience). The principle of precedence includes past experience in decision making (study the problem "from the bottom"). Based on the definition of transcendence (something that is fundamentally unavailable to experiential knowledge or not based on experience), transcendental analysis is considered as analysis of complex nonlinear phenomena and processes with a high degree of uncertainty (study the problem from the top). The paper presents a conceptual model of adaptive management based on the principles of precedence and transcendence. This model includes the next steps: definition and general description of the object of adaptive management; study of the object "from the bottom", based on past experience; study the object of adaptive management "from the top", taking into account a kind of "absolute", which goes beyond the existing experience; vision of the system based on the incidence matrix, ranking of interests and threats; decision making taking into account improvement of previous decisions and implementation of idealized transcendental model. The concept of the principles of precedence and transcendence in adaptive management is considered in the paper in the context of incident theory in order to form the system vision and rank the system from the point of view of interests (as a resource of development) or threats (as an anti-resource of development)

Purpose This paper aims to investigate the unconscious aspects of information technology (IT) outsourcing decisions. Design/methodology/approach The researchers extend the current literature and existing knowledge on the economic aspects of outsourcing decisions in a study on human behaviour and decision-making. Some vulnerabilities related to decision-making on outsourcing have been identified and mechanisms to address these vulnerabilities have been proposed. Findings Although IT outsourcing is a widely accepted practice, the vulnerabilities that result from unconscious bias can outweigh the supposed economic gains. However, with support from research in psychology, it is possible to minimize bias and ensure positive value creation when engaging in outsourcing. Originality/value The authors argue for a multi-disciplinary approach, for decision-making on outsourcing, that integrates the psychological elements of decision-making with economic value-creation logic. The proposed practitioner-oriented approach is used in conjunction with traditional approaches to decision-making. Specifically, it addresses the uncertainties that may occur when interpreting and inferring information that influences outsourcing decisions.

Abstract:
The article is aimed at forming an idea of the coevolution process as the basis for managing the economic security of enterprise. It is noted that the current state of development of socio-economic systems, which include enterprises, are at the stage of post-industrial development. The development of any enterprise depends on its ability to adapt to changes in the exogenous factors of influence, which causes rethinking and the novel approaches to managing the economic security of individual enterprises as preventive measures for adaptation. At that, economic security management should be considered taking into account significant changes closely related to the coevolution process, which has its origin in biology and is understood as a mutually agreed action to change the elements that constitute the integrity of the developing system. It is noted that during the end of the XXth century - begin of XXIst century a transformation of the development of socio-economic systems took place, changing from industrial to noosphere, with its central element being the human, and the central scientific platform for research being the economics of knowledge. Under these conditions, coevolution is considered as the basis for managing the economic security of enterprises with the definition of purpose, objects and subjects of economic security management, with specific provision of the management system and the formation of appropriate management principles. The central element of the economic security management system of enterprise is approaches to management on a coevolution basis, the formation of which is based on the synthesis of general-basis and specific management approaches, namely: evolutionary, systemic, resource, resource-functional. The result of the proposed aspects is obtaining a more effective result from the process of managing the economic security of enterprises.

Abstract:
An interdisciplinary team of academics and representatives of fishing fleets and government collaborated to study the emerging requirements for sustainability in Canada’s fisheries. Fisheries assessment and management has focused on biological productivity with insufficient consideration of social (including cultural), economic, and institutional (governance) aspects. Further, there has been little discussion or formal evaluation of the effectiveness of fisheries management. The team of over 50 people (i) identified a comprehensive set of management objectives for a sustainable fishery system based on Canadian policy statements, (ii) combined objectives into an operational framework with relevant performance indicators for use in management planning, and (iii) undertook case studies that investigated some social, economic, and governance aspects in greater detail. The resulting framework extends the suite of widely accepted ecological aspects (productivity and trophic structure, biodiversity, and habitat–ecosystem integrity) to include comparable economic (viability and prosperity, sustainable livelihoods, distribution of access and benefits, regional–community benefits), social (health and well-being, sustainable communities, ethical fisheries), and institutional (legal obligations, good governance structure, effective decision-making) aspects of sustainability. This work provides a practical framework for implementation of a comprehensive approach to sustainability in Canadian fisheries. The project also demonstrates the value of co-construction of collaborative research and co-production of knowledge that combines and builds on the strengths of academics, industry, and government.

The challenge of globalization process is the emergence of “new economy” in which the knowledge-based economy is of great importance. The factor of the knowledge-based economy is growing under the influence of scientific and technological revolution and involvement in globalization. The article analyzes the relationship of changingtechnological paradigms of social-economic development with sustainable development of urban infrastructure. The challengesof the Sixth (according to the classification of S. Yu. Glaziev)paradigm of the technological revolution with widespread introduction of digitalizationare specified. Up-to-date aspects of management of urban infrastructure development with use of “Smart City” advanced intellectual information technologies are considered. The study provides a reinterpretation of modern methods of management of urban infrastructure development in connection with the emergence of digital information and communication technologies. Knowledge management, including human capital assets management, representing the creative potential of people, plays an important role for “smart management”. It is proved that intellectual resources have greater value and competitive advantages than material resources. It is justified that with the development of globalization and digitalization of society, sustainable development of urban infrastructure is based on the use of knowledge-based capital.

Abstract:
Abstract The issue of innovation has also been pursued in social sciences and subsequently specifically in the field of application of socio-scientific knowledge. It is not just about professional engineering ethics but we perceive it in a complex and wider social context. Doing good as well as good practice are more than the professional code of ethics or an effort for technical or managerial excellence. Innovative changes should not be parameterized solely by economic efficiency or performance. With regard to new knowledge and technology development, their ethical aspects become more important and focus more on good life. In the context of social sciences with interdisciplinary trends, applied ethics and its subdisciplines (professional ethics, business ethics, ethics of science and research) can take over and play an important practical role. Innovative processes are increasingly becoming the focus of applied ethics, especially in terms of ethical risks. Our mission is to offer an interdisciplinary view of innovation as discussed in the ethics aspect. Based on these considerations, we conclude that ethics need to be integrated into individual innovation processes and adopted as an important condition for eliminating (mitigating) social risks. In our theoretical considerations we offer a view of the scientific risks and forms of prevention related to innovative change in important areas including engineering practice or health protection.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to describe the content of the economic and legal bases of counteraction to the circulation of counterfeit goods. Using systemic and formal-logical methods, the amount of economic losses is outlined and the magnitudes of consequences arising from the circulation of counterfeit goods for the state, patent holders, consumers and manufacturers of counterfeits are outlined. It has been stated that drugs, toys, agrochemicals, and foodstuffs are the most counterfeit at the moment and are not only supported by crime as a crime in the field of intellectual property, but also endanger the lives and healths. Considering the market of counterfeit goods described its features, which are that the operation indicated the author but due to factors such as low solvency of the population in developing countries; the inability to sell counterfeit products separately from the original products, due to the fact that the original products are used for masking in the sale of counterfeiting; lack of specialized equipment for establishing counterfeit goods and knowledge of the original; scale and narrow specialization of counterfeit goods market participants; the transnational nature of this market; splicing organized crime with law enforcement agencies; high profitability of counterfeit market. The practical importance of the research is the documentary analysis examines the international legal aspects of counterfeiting of such goods and notes that the rules of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, TRIPS and the EU Customs Regulation on Intellectual Property Observance set out measures to combat trafficking in goods that infringes intellectual property rights. Consequently, successfully tackling counterfeit goods trafficking requires a constant search for innovative methods of struggle. An effective strategy for overcoming this phenomenon should combine the various measures of its counteraction, all of them should be used in a coordinated and systematic way, complementing each other. Therefore, both economic and political management methods must be taken into account to overcome the counterfeit. And only their optimal combination will have the greatest effect in the formation of concepts of counteraction to the circulation of counterfeit goods. And this is definitely worth the effort since the innovative and economic development of the state depends on solving the problem of creating an effective system of protection of intellectual property rights. Methodology. A methodological framework of the economic and legal bases of counteraction to the circulation of counterfeit goods is defined by the complex of scientific cognition methods that allow us to look at this problem as a multi-aspect, interdisciplinary phenomenon. On the basis of the system, structural, systemic-functional and other scientific approaches, the idea of counteraction to the circulation of counterfeit goods has formed a complex systemic category covering the theoretical and practical level of economic and legal activity.

Abstract The role of knowledge and technology transfer between academia and the industry has received increasing attention in the analysis of innovation. This article aims to explore the scientific literature concerning knowledge transport mechanisms and describe how the topic was organized by previous studies and terminologies applied. A systematic review was conducted in which the content of recent contributions best fitting these intensions was analysed. The characteristics of knowledge, individuals, organizations, and disciplines were found to be the main determinants in the adoption of transfer mechanisms. These were classified in terms of formalization, relational involvement, direction, and time. On the revealed multi-dimensionality of knowledge transfer and complementarity between transfer activities we framed a new taxonomy distinguishing between channels and processes. Future research may deepen these factors, such as the economic aspects driving the adoption of transfer mechanisms informing decisions on the funding of innovation.

Abstract:
In the article a new economic category “innovative modernization” reflecting system technical and technological and organizational and economic updating of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries of economy of Russia is offered and proved. Authors opened the essence and the content of the concept “innovative modernization”, various versions of long-term forecasts of development of economy of Russia in relation to high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries are analyzed: the scenario of the catchingup development, the scenario of the opened national innovative system, the scenario of creation of the innovative environment, the scenario of local technological leadership. By results of the analysis the need of replacement of model of the catching-up development by model of the innovative modernization capable to provide competitive advantages and innovative break in the conditions of globalization is proved from the theoretical point of view. On this basis the methodical principles of implementation of innovative modernization, such as selectivity are formulated (as limitation of a range of coverage by innovative modernization of branches of economy); independence (as ability to rely in innovative modernization on the national forces and opportunities); complexity (interrelation of technical and technological and organizational and economic aspects of innovative modernization). The crucial role of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in innovative updating of all other branches of the domestic industry and implementation of strategy of innovative break in Russia is defined and proved. The interrelation and interconditionality of branches of the high-tech services and branches making the knowledge-intensive production which is for branches of services not only a material basis, but also the animator of growth of economy in general are shown on the example of branch of the aviation industry and branch of air transportation. In the conclusion of work methodological bases of management of innovative modernization of high-tech and knowledgeintensive industries of economy of Russia in their interrelation and interconditionality providing sequence and interrelation of scenario forecasting of development of the Russian social and economic system, strategic priorities, strategic and program and target planning, reproduction of resources, competitiveness of innovative production, technical and technological and institutional providing, and also an efficiency assessment are created. <p>Workplace innovations are designed to optimize production processes in firms and improve employees’ working conditions; few researches on this topic have shown that workplace innovations increased employees’ job satisfaction, as well as a sense of responsibility and autonomy, but also employees’ overall well-being, especially regarding to work–life balance and health. Workplace innovation includes aspects regarding work organization (job autonomy, self-managed teams, flexible working etc.), organizational structure and systems (devolution of decision-making to employees, fairness and equality, supporting employee initiative etc.), learning and development (high involvement innovation, staff learning and development, shared knowledge and experience etc.), workplace partnership (social dialogue, representative participation, involvement in change, openness and communication, integrating tacit and strategic knowledge etc.). This paper aims to highlight the main characteristics of workplace innovations in Romanian firms, as they are presented in some economical, business and academic, journals in our country. The research methodology consisted of a content analysis performed on four Romanian economic journals two from academic area (Management and Marketing and Management Dynamics in Knowledge Economy) and two from business area (Cariere and Biz). The dimensions of content analysis included the different types of workplace innovations and their effects on organizational performance as well as on employees’ quality of life at the workplace, the size and the source of capital and economic sector of firms that innovate in human resource management, barriers and drivers to the implementation of workplace innovations etc. The period for journals content analysis was 1 year, between January 1 and December 31, 2013. The paper contains a case study for each journal, including abstracts of the most relevant articles on the workplace innovations and related topics.</p>

Abstract:
This paper examines the ecological, economic, and social aspects of grazing management technology as it relates to sustaining rangeland ecosystems. We adopt FAO's definition of sustainable agriculture, that is, 'The management and conservation of the resource base and the orientation of technological and institutional changes in such a manner as to insure the attainment and continued satisfaction of human needs for present and future generations. Such sustainable development is environmentally non-degrading, technically appropriate, economically viable and socially acceptable." We explore the ecological aspects of grazing management as they relate to the need to balance solar energy capture and harvest efficiency so as to maximize productivity on a sustained basis. The long- term success or failure of all grazing strategies hinges around management's ability to control the frequency and severity of defoliation of individual plants over time and space. This is a particularly formidable challenge in rangeland environments because of high levels of environmental uncertainty. We then focus attention on the social aspects of grazing management. Grazing management is a social process by virtue of its human component and the major social dilemma encountered in grazed agroecosystems centers around the impacts that ever-increasing human desires have on rangeland resources. We examine the role of ecological economics and the impact of varying human value systems on management of rangeland resources. The fundamental problem encountered in the management of natural resources such as rangeland ecosystems is absence of perfect ecological knowledge. We conclude that the major social dilemma of grazing management stems largely from two phenomena: 1) supply side management tactics designed to meet ever increasing human demands; and 2) potential failure to accurately factor long-term ecological costs into present day value systems. As such, we conclude that current grazing management technology necessarily requires moderate rates of stocking be employed to insure rangeland agriculture (i.e. grazing) is ecologically sound, economically viable, and socially acceptable.

Abstract:
Introduction. In In today’s conditions of economic development, business entities face the challenge of reformatting systems, methods and economic mechanisms for managing sustainability in terms of innovative approach. Therefore, the solution of economic, social, managerial and personal problems in contemporary society implies a specific innovative style of management, which is based on innovation, innovation, systematic and continuous innovation activities. The purpose is to identificatt the positive trends and shortcomings of the processes of innovative development of economic entities that exist in Ukraine, and to clarificate of modern scientific approaches to encourage businesses to innovate in order to ensure financial stability and innovative development of the country’s economy. Results. The study of the mechanism of innovation activity allows us to conclude that the formation and development of an innovative management strategy by an economic entity is an integration process that combines the processes of forecasting, planning and accounting of the resource base of the enterprise in the long-term, medium-term and short-term prospects in the new conditions modernization of the state economy. Creating a national innovation system is to build a holistic system that effectively transforms new knowledge into new technologies, products and services that find their real consumers in national or global markets. At the same time, attention should be paid to the development of an innovative strategy by each domestic enterprise, which will create conditions for positive trends in the development of this process. Conclusions. Innovations are essentially related to the cyclical development of the economy, as they initiate new technological developments. Therefore, in an innovative economy, the state plays an important role in implementing anti-cyclical economic regulation, smoothing out cyclical fluctuations and mitigating their effects. To ensure the further development of innovation in Ukraine, it is necessary to comprehensively use methods to stimulate innovation, in particular the improvement of tax legislation; improving the legal framework for venture funds; improving the mechanism of protection of intellectual property rights; ensuring effective cooperation between the scientific and business sectors in the field of innovation.

Abstract:
Abstract Mathew, S. 2011. Fishery-dependent information and the ecosystem approach: what role can fishers and their knowledge play in developing countries? – ICES Journal of Marine Science, 68: 1805–1808. An ecosystem approach to fishery management is as much a mechanism to deal with the impact of fishing on targeted, associated, and dependent fish stocks, and on the habitat, as it is to deal with the impact of habitat degradation from natural and anthropogenic factors on fishing. In developing countries, often with little institutional capacity for generating timely and reliable information for managing fisheries, effective integration of the knowledge possessed by fishers and their communities regarding, for example, oceanographic, biological, economic, social, and cultural aspects can contribute to an ecosystem approach to fisheries. The challenge is to identify and validate such knowledge and to create policy and legal space to integrate it into management, also drawing upon good practice in industrialized countries. An attempt is made to identify such knowledge, to discuss its salient aspects, and to look at the conditions under which its practical value can be enhanced and integrated into formal fishery-management systems in developing countries.

Abstract:
Deep changes in the information society are determined by the growth of the role of knowledge and information as resources, which are characterized by the ability to quickly lose their relevance, inexhaustibility, and in the case of exceptional uniqueness – high cost. The actualization of this trend is due to the emergence of the knowledge economy. The issues of formation, evaluation and management of value of an enterprise are of considerable interest among Ukrainian and foreign researchers. However, a number of aspects need clarification, in particular, the problems of transforming the structure of the market value of a company and new approaches to managing the value of enterprises. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the process of transformation of theoretical approaches and methodological tools for estimating the value of an enterprise under the influence of dynamic changes in the economic environment, taking into account Ukrainian conditions and the development of methodological recommendations for assessing the value of an enterprise. The research is based on the general scientific methods of cognizing economic phenomena and processes, as well as special research methods (economic-mathematical, statistical analysis, expert estimation and forecasting methods). The article examines approaches to the valuation of a company, which are based on two groups of principles – based on factors of production that generate income, and based on market behavior in the context of knowledge economy. Under the influence of the changing external environment, innovative transformations within the enterprise, a significant increase in business activity is necessary. The solution to this problem is impossible without upgrading the methods and mechanisms of this development, changing its priorities, market institutions, relations between subjects of economic activity, the base of resources. Conclusions. The transformation of the value of the enterprise is one of the key factors for improving the efficiency of economic activity, it depends on its stable operation, dynamic development, the position of the enterprise in the market, and other. Under such conditions, in the process of management of value of an enterprise, it is effective to apply a systematic approach, which is subordinated to the general goal of enterprise development and determines the expediency of management decisions depending on the situation that occurs under the influence of the internal and external environment of the enterprise.
