Full textThe dissertation research object arе “wild” urban marketplaces. They reveal the deep transformation of Bulgarian cities resulting from the economic, social and political transformations occurring at a global and national level. The study of the marketplace phenomenon as a culture is essential to the analysis of the post socialist city. We are particularly interested at the market site as a practiced, produced and imagined place. That means, to analyze the procès of restructuration and diversion of the city under the influence of economic and political factors, but also to take into consideration the everyday urban practices. The main scientific goal of the dissertation is centered on the comprehension of urban markets as cultures. Two research sites were chosen. The first one expands around an official marketplace in the city of Dimitrovgrad. The second one, located in Sofia, has a long history of spatial migration. As research results we could state several repeting motifs: 1. The way the story of the marketplace is told translates informants’ world visions and their ways of experiencing the economic and political transformations. 2. The studied marketplaces are often considered as dirty and shameful, a fact originating in the insecurity and incertitude structiring the market experience and practice 4. The relation between the marketplace and the city could be defined through three nessecities: to hide it, to restreint its visibility and to impose boundaries. Research techniques are unstructured interviews, life stories, participant and direct observation, sketching, taking pictures and documentary analyses

Full textCapital movements, more intensive up to the First World War, lead to establishing relations between nations. Those relations are generally based on investments in the first place, within the context of industrial and trading projects, and on finance in the second place: limited liability credit companies were founded, securities were invested, such as government bonds, annuities, mortgage, etc. , thus creating interdependence between nations, through contracts and legislation. The extension of international relations is not only a project, but also a true challenge for the countries’ economic evolution and industrialisation. Their development rests more assured when the governments use all means of intervention: from a geopolitical point of view (including the expansion of a railway and communication network) as well as from the country’s financial market. That last factor includes the evolution of bank and finance structures, which means a knowledge-based banking organisation. On those grounds, the groups can then minimize the risks they take, assess their positions, and strengthen their collaborations. It eventually comes to the question of interest capitalization on both sides (the borrower’s and the lender’s). In that sense, the French banking groups take up a significant place in Bulgarian history, because of their structure and influence on the social organization. They integrate into the market and favour its development through different know-hows. Studying investment banks thus implies to consider the financial groups’ role and impact, first in the formation of the Bulgarian nation, and then in its institutional reorganizations. Why did Bulgaria attract French bankers? What techniques and strategies did they use to develop their policies? What was the French intervention in Bulgaria? The groups got involved through French policy, answering Bulgarian economic and financials needs. What were their pretexts and mobiles?

Full textThe subject of this thesis is to apply the forecasting methods on the media industry, in particular the daily newspaper industry. It consists of a comparative research of the French and Bulgarian press market based on the industrial economics model. The principal thesis leading the research states that the national daily press could be defined as an industry, which way of functioning could be analysed and which future could be anticipated by the means of the industrial economics. The principal stages of the research are: definition of the major problems of the industry in the beginning of the third millennium; application of the two theoretical models, namely those of the industrial economics and the five competitive forces on the analysis of the defined industries in France and Bulgaria; development of three forecast versions of the national daily press industry in the both countries for 2007 horizon

Full textEver since they have been conceptually created in the middle of the 19 century, capitalism and market economy have been intertwined. Nevertheless, an accurate study of the definition of capitalism by the most eminent writers such as Marx, Weber, Schumpeter or Braudel, proves the existence of a wide array of definition, which tends to demonstrate a c1ear divergence between capitalism and market economy. Capitalism is therefore re-evaluated and redefined by the market power of shareholders, endured by employees as well as customers, yet socially accepted. Market economy is redefined by the freedom of enterprise as well as choice. Separating capitalism from market economy with these new definitions induces a new criticism of power and its abuse in the name of freedom, which sever capitalism from its traditional defense rhetoric. The notion of competition shifts from capitalism to market economy. Cooperation is added to the market economy, creating a goal of balance of powers rather than perfection as it was suggested by the neoclassical economies. Inscribed al the heart of the company, cooperation opens up a greater customer satisfaction, complementing competition. Corporate governance of a capitalist company, focused on the shareholders' interests, must evolve into balanced corporate governance, enabling compromises stemming from the divergent but legitimate interests of customers, employees, and shareholders. A new market economy with a clear balance of powers, shared between competition and cooperation, comes forth as the liberal, non-State solution to solving the capitalist power

Full textThis work aim at analysing the decision processes in a market economy, when economic agents have to face incertainty and complexity. Once the principal of bounded rationality is studied, it focused on search, learning and simplifying procedures. In a second time, the work lays stress on the implication of these decision processes on market functioning. The thesis deals then with price dispersion phenomenon - as a sign of ignorance on a market - and the way it was tackled by the economic science. It examines next the adjustment processes following a market internal desequilibrium and at last the turbulency phenomenon induced by interactions between crisis and adjustment mechanisms
