The increasing market of low energy building constructions demand new efficiency projects and quickly solutions. The AutodeskR EcotectTM Analysis software allows the evaluation of comfort during the early stages of project design. The aim of this research was to evaluate the software performance on the architectural project concerning the daylighting. A sequence of methodological analyses were performed to compare results from computational simulation and collected data from the study site. According to the results is possible to prove the suitability and usability of the software in the project optimization. This work shows the optimization of the software concerning the effect of daylighting on the architectonic conception. The performance and adequacy of the software leads to the development of new strategies for the design process.

Full textthe measurement period was determined according to the coldest days of the year. In this context, the temperature and humidity charts were evaluated and one of the units was simulated using the software tool Ecotect v.5.20. The simulation temperature charts demonstrate similar behavior and trends as the measured temperature
although, it was approximately 4 0C lower than the measured temperature. The possible reason for such a difference may be the precision of the material properties. Six different calibrations were tested by changing the thermal properties of the envelope materials to obtain comparable results with the measured temperature readings. Based on the calibrated model, it was found that an increase in the U-value of the envelope materials did not have a significant effect on the simulated temperature charts.

This study using Building Design Software Ecotect and Building Energy Software to analyze the government agency energy consumption. Investigate different windows'' open ratio, building floor space, Personnel density and climate regions influence in the building. The actual experiment data were used to validate the simulation models. Assume that the north building area is 310m2,the simulation result show at windows'' open ratio at 20%~40%, every 10% increase in the ratio can reduce lighting energy consumption 7.5% and increase the air-conditioning energy consumption 370kWh. The simulation boundary condition set the floor area at 310m2~930m2 and the number of employees at 6~37 Personnel, compare with the actual condition. The result show that at Taipei the actual and regression to the mean error of 32%, actual and simulated average error of 29%, at Taichung the actual and regression to the mean error of 21%, actual and simulated average error of 31%, at Kaohsiung the actual and regression to the mean error of 29%, actual and simulated average error of 34%. This study set a new electricity using index (kWh / Personnel -year), and two index of baseline values to assess the household registry office of the electricity situation, the study results show that two kinds of index are above the reference value of household administration affairs96, only one index above the reference value 152, are not above the reference value of 96.

Due to global warming and greenhouse effect, the sea level rises and reduces available lands. Extreme climate, drought, flood storm, and variety scourge avalanche of increasing scale occur more often. The whole ecological system, soil and water resources, and human activities and life securityare all affected. In recent years, extreme heat wave takes palce aroung the world around each summer, and temperatures repeatedly break the old records. As a result, green building, ecological engineering method, energy saving, and carbon reduction continue to be the hottest topics of research. Each school strives to provide teachers and students a comfortable teaching and learning environment. This research uses Jiangcui Elementary School in Banqiao District, New Taipei City as a case stydy. The finding can be used as a reference for future new school or old school orenovation. This research uses Autodesk Revit 2014 to build a 3D information model Jiangcui Elementary School campus. The model was then exported to Ecotect Analysis 2011 for further. Roofs with different materials were used to study the effects on indoor thermal environment. The results of literature review and current research show that, green architecture and green roof has become a trend. Through the green building techniques and use of appropriate materials can reduce energy use and build a healthy, eco-friendly, and high performance building. Ecotect Analysis 2011 sustainable building design software analysis can be used to compare the effects of different roofing materials on the indoor thermal environment. Decisions can be made by analyzing the data from the simulations. These analysis can be utilized to choose the best materials and to estimate the construction cost effectively.

In this research, first introduced the concept of the Climatic Cooling Potential and how to apply this concept to calculate the nighttime ventilation cooling capacity. Ecotect is the analysis of thermal environment of buildings based on the admittance method. In this paper, referring to its operation principle, use Ecotect doing the analysis of thermal environment of buildings and then, simulate different times of the indoor and outdoor temperature. This study, seven sites in Taiwan: Taipei, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hualien, Hsinchu, Taitung, Tainan, using the Ecotect to do the thermal analysis, application of the concept of the climate cooling potential of the area at night ventilation potential indicators to provide a reference to determine which areas on the introduction of nightventilation with the best energy-saving potential.
