Full textThis research work focuses on seven novelists (one of whom is a graphic novelist), of Iranian origin who chose to go into exile in France and adopt French as their language of expression : Fariba Hachtroudi (b. 1951), Nahal Tajadod (b. 1960), Sorour Kasmaï (b. 1962), Chahdortt Djavann (b. 1967), Négar Djavadi (b. 1969), Naïri Nahapétian (b. 1970) and Marjane Satrapi (b. 1969). These writers have some characteristics in common : all are bicultural, know both the Persian and French languages perfectly and address the same themes. Although their ages and experiences differ, they write about women and their main characters are almost always women. This characteristic is exceptional and recent (since 2000) in Francophone literature emanating from emigration. Our Francophone novelists of Iranian origin begin to talk about Iran and its history through a form of fiction that remains very close to reality in order to address major current issues : the oppression installed in Iran since 1979, the dictatorial climate of the mullahs'regime, its consequences on people's lives and particularly on the lives of women who are more affected by it.The first part focuses on the personal and common paths that lead Iranian women to become French novelists. The second part proposes an analysis of the French and Persian cultural models to which novels in search of a distinctive style obey. The third part is a study of the way these authors use the novelistic structure and sometimes create a new form of historical fiction. The fourth part is dedicated to the reception of this literature in France as well as in Iran and in other Muslim countries

Full textRelating to sociology, litterature and women's social status, the goal of this inter-disciplinary research is to analyze the social status of women in post-revolutionary Iran, through the work of eight contemporary novelists (F. Aghayi, T. Alavi, F. Hadj Seyyed Djavadi, Ch. Parsipour, Z. Pirzad, M. Ravanipour, P. Sani'i et F. Vafi) during 15 post-revolutionary years (1990-2005). As the first main part of this thesis, the interest about the private sphere (family, marital and personal privacy) and in the public space (urban, professional and social). In the second part, the detailed study of Iranian women's accessibility to public spaces (to education, to employement and to sozialisation) reveal that the female question, with all its ambivalences, is a major issue in the democratization of the Iranian society. The field of literature opens an area for novelists to express themselves. By playing with the close relationship between reality and fiction they bypass the censorship. With their different approaches, they all describe the socio-political disappointment of the post-revolutionary era. These "intermediate intellectuals", all women and writers, all women and writers at the same time, denounce the "unequal oppression" done against women and nourish the public debate around iconic themes such as democracy, individual freedom, community tolerance, etc. , and actively participate in the education of the civil society

Full textAt the crossroads of literature, sociology and psychology, this interdisciplinary work is intended to analyzing (analyze) the condition of contemporary women through a corpus of Persian and French works written respectively by Zoya Pirzad and Katherine Pancol and published between the years 1990 and 2010.These works, by their wide readership, are in popular literature. An analytical approach on the evolution of the novelistic genre, can define our corpus in relation to the new forms of sentimental literature, especially the Chick lit.The emergence of women novelists illustrating particularly the feminine universe requires studies on women’s writing.In this regard, Virginia Woolf insists on the importance of personal experiences in the creation of literary works, Luce Irigary identifies a language full of excess, folly and contradiction among women authors and Elaine Showalter proposes the construction of a framework (of a female executive) to analyze the literature of women.Subsequently, the question of feminism and its various currents in the West and the East explicitly developed. To approve the famous phrase of Simone de Beauvoir "One is not born a women, one becomes one", this work seeks to highlight the direct and indirect influence of the family, the school and the environment on training of the identity of the individual.Finally, by a psychological approach, this research promises a silent renaissance by examining the mental state of the female characters. The mother-daughter or father-daughter relationship and sexuality are major axes of this last part
