Abstract:
This paper presents a generalized experience of diagnosis and treatment of dogs with ectopic eyelashes and corneal ulcers caused by them. Ectopic eyelashes are ophthalmopathy, which is most common in dogs and is characterized by the germination of pathological eyelashes or eyelashes through the tarsal plate and conjunctiva of the upper eyelid from hair follicles, and have a damaging traumatic effect on the cornea, causing erosion and then corneal ulcer. The pathology is congenital and has an autosomal dominant type of inheritance. There is also a pedigree predisposition to this disease. The fo

INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUNDThymic hyperplasia is a recognized but frequently underappreciated entity associated with Graves’ disease (GD). It is often misinterpreted as a mediastinal mass, potentially leading to unwarranted biopsies or surgical intervention. The underlying pathophysiological mechanisms remain poorly understood. Spontaneous regression of the mediastinal mass following euthyroidism with effective thyrotoxicosis treatment supports a benign etiology. Here, we present a case of a young female with GD and an incidentally discovered anterior mediastinal mass, highlighting the diagnostic

Orphan dermatoses are caused by both genetic causes and a number of autoimmune, inflammatory and infectious processes in the body. Congenital giant nevus is associated with serious complications: malignant melanoma, CNS lesions (neurocutaneous melanosis). Multiple epidermoid cysts are often a component of Gardner's syndrome. Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, a vascular tumor formation with proliferation of histiocytoid endothelial cells, with severe lymphocytic and eosinophilic infiltration, recurs in 1/3 of cases. Abstract:
Abstract Thymic hyperplasia has occasionally been reported in patients with Graves disease (GD). However, ectopic cervical thymic hyperplasia in the setting of hyperthyroid GD is exceptionally rare. We describe a case of a 54-year-old Thai woman who presented with hyperthyroidism, diplopia, and pretibial myxedema. She underwent a total thyroidectomy because of diplopia caused by Graves ophthalmopathy. During the surgery, 3 macroscopically abnormal enlargements of parathyroid gland-like tissue were identified and removed. Histopathology revealed hyperplastic thymic tissue mixed with 1 normal-si
