The thesis aims to demonstrate the editorial course of the works of writer Afonso Henriques de Lima Barreto (1881-1922), analyzing the changes and continuities that have taken place in the editorial writer's legacy after his death. We call bagattelization the way the writer joined the texts of Bagatelas, published in 1923, a model that has shaped the posthumous editions organized by Francisco de Assis Barbosa reflected in the publications of other publishers, subsequent to their work. We examine the process of bagatellization of Lima Barreto literature by two biases: a) developed by Lima Barreto, a result of the satirical vein of the writer; and b) the bagatellization performed by Francisco de Assis Barbosa, resulted by the demands inherent in the publishing market, described in its main trends throughout its evolution until almost our time. The conducting wire of the thesis summarized the discussion of bagatellement’s process of Lima Barreto work was distributed by four chapters. At first, we’ll approach the time interval between 1909-1923, when the editorial writer's legacy constitute oneself , composed by the publication of seven works .The second comprehends the interval 1923-1956 , when the editorial writer's legacy is on the one hand , maintained by publishers , and on the other , undergoes changes and expansions, reaching production of the writer a total of ten volumes. The third has the exclusive purpose of trying to treat Francisco de Assis Barbosa to offer in 1956 by Brasilense publisher to market the complete works of Lima Barreto, with limabarretiano legacy reaching seventeen volumes mark. The final chapter presents existing editorial trends in the publications of the works of Lima Barreto post- 1956 marked by two aspects: on the one hand, the continued and uncritical repetition of the texts set in the edition of 1956 by Francisco de Assis Barbosa, almost unique reference; other by the emergence of issues that implicitly dialogue with the edition 1956, aiming to provide the market with different editions of barbosiano standard while retaining, even residually, however, signals bagatellization process.

In this dissertation paper, it is an intention to analyze aspects of Fernando Pessoa´s work in the prose-poetic of Livro do Desassossego (Unrest Book) from Bernardo Soares. Starting from the reflection on the concept of “book”, it is possible to think about the theory of the “open work”, and about the literary text´s notions of opening and infinitude. This path enables an incisive quest at the work itself, and at the “book to come”, whose essence is in the inconclusive, in fragments of a book never concluded or closed. Through the analysis of some of its editions, there will be an attempt to think about the book also through the concept of ‘work in progress’ and rhizomatic work. The first part of this work aims at the reflection on the theoretical support for the dissertation confection, through thinkers, philosophers and critics such as Walter Benjamin (1984), José Guilherme Merquior (1991), Malcolm Bradbury e Frederick r. Karl (1989); Stéphane Mallarmé (1991) e Umberto Eco (1968), Homi Bhabha (2005), Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari (2004), Émile Durkheim (1987) e Eduardo Lourenço (1986). The second part is dedicated to the paper´s methodology, in order to justify the choice for the utilized analytical corpus: editions of Livro do Desassossego (Unrest Book) accomplished by Leyla Perrone-Moisés (1986), Richard Zenith (2011) e Jerónimo Pizarro (2013). The third and fourth parts are composed by analytical work. Through the collated editions and through a deeper reading, the analysis´ articulation is intended with the theoretical support and the methodology. The paper´s conclusive part intends to recapture possible analysis´ findings and support the critical provocation already initiated by literary names such as Eduardo Lourenço e Leyla Perrone-Moisés, according to whom Livro do Desassossego (Unrest Book) might be read as a material symbol for the certainty of all the texts’ non-closing and the possible suicide of Fernando de Pessoa´s heteronymic mithology.

Full textThe purpose of the master's thesis is to identify editorial marketing strategies for filling the University corporate media, followed by recommendations. The editorial approach to the study of the problems of the corporate press functioning, and, above all, the creation of high-quality content, determines the novelty of the research. The work is carried out on the example of Russian and Spanish-language publications, which led to the introduction of a new set of texts into scientific usage and allowed to determine effective strategies for the formation of corporate publications in different linguocultures. The following material was used in the study at different stages. To understand the process and trends of modeling communicative strategies and tactics in higher education Russian and foreign mass media, by the method of continuous sampling over 1,500 texts of different genres from the Newspapers «Ural Federal» and «Gaceta UNAM» of 80 numbers for 2016-2018 were analyzed. For determining the profile of a typical student of the Ural Federal University a survey has conducted, the results of which were 438 responses of 100 respondents. More than 1500 structural elements (headline complex, endings) of journalistic materials of the newspapers «Ural Federal» and «Gaceta UNAM» for the analysis of architectonics of mass media also served as a material for research. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusion and bibliography. The first chapter displays the place of corporate media in the system of branding tools and promotion of the University, theoretical approaches to the study of the media audience, in particular, through the results of the survey reveals the image of the target reader of the University newspaper «Ural Federal». Its main characteristics were divided into four generalizing groups according to the degree of importance for the participants of the sociological survey. The readers of the University media consider the communicative and cognitive needs to be fundamental for a typical student, therefore, the speech impact will be effective and communication successful if the corporate media will take into account certain interests during preparation of the materials. The second chapter represents an analysis of communicative, topical, structural and content strategies of corporate University publications, as well as a general algorithm of the modern editor's work on the materials of University media and individual recommendations for each of the examined newspaper. In the process of the research two dominant communicative strategies “the circle” and “appeal to values” were identified and subdivided on tactics. Both the the corporate newspaper of the Ural Federal University («Ural Federal») and the National Autonomous University of Mexico («Gaceta UNAM») crave for positive self-presentation. The common tactics include “friend-stranger”, “territorial attribute”, “abbreviation”, “cooperation”, which, however, can sometimes have a different presentation depending on the publication. For instance, the “Ural Federal” describes us through a pronoun we, and “Gaceta UNAM” characterizes others. The same applies to implicatures, which in the newspaper "Ural Federal" repel the reader from others, and in the newspaper "Gaceta UNAM" attract to theirs. «Gaceta UNAM» has individual tactics that distinguish it from the Ural Federal newspaper. These include the tactics of forming an active citizenship and the tactics of raising the gender issue. Thus, the University of Mexico seeks to unite the audience with the range of topics covered. The analysis of the headline complex in «Ural Federal» and «Gaceta UNAM» newspapers makes it possible to judge about the presence of four characteristic groups of elements: headings, subheadings (overheads), insertions, headings. UrFU newspaper strive to the combination of informative and emotive components of the heading system and uses quotations, questions, illustrative and evaluative statements as titles. UNAM newspaper avoids the use of expressive headlines, from which it becomes apparent editorial policy, namely the desire to position the media as a business media presenting analytical materials. The endings of the texts maintain a given tone of presentation. UNAM materials always have a summary, final opinion and evaluation. And in «Ural Federal» ending reminder, as well as ending, sending information to other resources, can be encountered frequency. The study also proposed a general algorithm for the work of a modern editor on the university media materials and the individual recommendations for each of the newspapers, which were taken into consideration.

This paper of qualitative and interdisciplinary nature linked to the area of Language Studies has as its main objective the investigation of the renewal ways of different literary contracts of communication corresponding to the most recent editions of three texts, two short stories – Conto de escola by Machado de Assis and De cima para baixo by Artur Azevedo – and one chronicle – Será o Benedito! by Mário de Andrade –, written between the last quarter of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. In these most recent editions, the exclusively verbal texts of canonical Brazilian writer-authors are transformed into verbal-visual hybrid texts by the work of illustrator-authors such as Nelson Cruz, Marcelo Ribeiro and Odilon Moraes, and by the editors’ initiative. Based on the assumptions of the Semiolinguistic Theory of Discourse Analysis, which is the theoretical-methodological framework of this investigation, and also based, in a subsidiary way, on the studies of the editorial paratexts, on the Semiotics of the visual image, as well as on the studies of the word-image interaction in picturebooks and in the book with illustration, this paper intends to demonstrate how these texts, reprinted in the first decade of the twenty-first century, with illustrations by acclaimed Brazilian illustrator-authors, integrate literary contracts of communication that are renewed. The hypothesis is that the occurrence of this renewal process is mainly due to the transformation of the verbal texts into hybrid verbal-visual texts; the redefinition of the initiating partners of the production process of the narrative staging by including the illustrator-authors; the redefinition of the partners of the process of interpretation of the narrative mise-en-scène by including children readers, because of their integration in the hybrid texts as target readers, a hypothesis which was not incorporated in the previous contracts; the intensification of meaning effects aimed at both the conformation of the editorial paratexts, which constitute the material and discursive mise-en-scène of the books corresponding to the renewed contracts of communication, and the interaction between the verbal and visual parts of the texts. Thus, the books corresponding to the renewed literary contracts of communication would be identified as literature potentially targeted for children readers

Full textLong neglected as a primary source of historical studies in Spain, the Press has become a valuable source for a lot of researchers since the pioneering work of A.G.N. Alongside sections solely devoted to information and feature stories, which are of particular interest to the history of events and mentalities, the numerous notices which make up the contents of periodicals allow for particularly useful socio-economic studies as regards the eighteenth century.Maria José Seoane already relied on this kind of sources from La Gaceta de Madrid and Diario de Madrid for the period spanning between 1808 and 1819. As far as we are concerned, focusing on the period covering Charles IV's reign (1788-1808) and using bookshop publications from all of Madrid 's periodicals of the time, we intend not to confine our thesis to the simple enumeration of the reading lists but, on the contrary, to evaluate the print production of the second half of the eighteenth century, at the light of those reading lists. We also intend to study the diffusion networks as well as the strategies that were developed by writers and editors alike before the successes or failures of their undertaking. We thus hope to make a valuable contribution to the study of books and book reading and therefore allow for a better understanding of what was the first vehicle for the dissemination of the ideas of The Enlightenment in Spain
