Abstract:
This article aimed to investigate the bibliography of the Study of Brazilian Problems (PBS) discipline at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) between 1971 and 1984. It was used primary and secondary sources, which unveiled the theoretical corpus that supported BPS teaching at UFPR. Some methodological elements of Cultural History were mobilized based on the understanding that individuals and groups grasp the social world and share it in a particular way, producing strategies and practices (political, social and educational) (Chartier 2002). Finally, the analysis revealed that BPS’ teaching programs were based on a bibliographic diversity, marked by books that were aligned with the Doctrine of the National Security and Development (DNSD), but which appeared alongside the works of some anti-regime authors. And that bibliographic focused on national problems denoted adherence to a larger DNSD policy aimed at encouraging the participation of university youth in the national political and economic plan.

Abstract:
One of the priority areas of the research activity of the Russian State Library (RSL), in particular its scientific bibliographic activity, is currently the study “Information and bibliographic activity of Russian libraries (theoretical and practical aspects)”. Relevance of the research is caused by the fact that information and bibliographic activity refers to the main activities of libraries of various types and kinds. Libraries create bibliographic information for wide distribution, provide bibliographic services to their readers (subscribers). Bibliographic information is also used in various particular library processes (acquisition, library and information services, organization of mass events, etc.). The article considers the results of the analysis of the R&D object — bibliographic (information and bibliographic) activity of libraries as a system object (essence, boundaries, objects and subjects of activity, internal structure, etc.). The analysis was carried out on the basis of theoretical concepts developed by the domestic bibliography science, as well as the modern terminological system of the library and information sphere, fixed in national standards. The author identified and analysed the main directions of bibliographic activity in the library (library bibliography): bibliographic processing of library collections (library bibliographic cataloguing); formation of reference and bibliographic tool; creation of bibliographic resources and products of “non-catalogue” type (indexes, lists, reviews, etc.); bibliographic service; bibliographic education; scientific and methodological activities in the field of bibliography.

Gribanovsky as one of the samples of bibliographing for all the time of development of local lore bibliography in Russia and gives information about the reconstruction work of this publication. In 2016, the National Library (NL) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) started preparing for the publication of multi-volume universal scientific-auxiliary bibliographic work “Bibliography of Yakutia (1932—2022)” on all the main branches of knowledge: Yakut language, Literature, Literary Criticism, Folklore, Economy and Demography, State and Law, Political Science, History, Archaeology and Ethnology, Culture and Arts, Health Care, Medicine, Education, Physical Culture and Sports, National Economy and Industry, Agriculture, Minerals and Geology, Cryology. It is expected that the publication will consist of 15 volumes and in general will close the existing gap in bibliographing of documents on all the major branches of knowledge for the years 1932—2022.The author presents detailed characteristics of the main bibliographic indexes published by the NL of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Scientific library of the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, the Central scientific library of the Yakut Scientific Centre of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Scientific library of the Yakutsk Agricultural Academy. The article reveals the new opportunities in bibliographic activity of municipal libraries of the Republic, analyses the base for compilation of bibliographic resources of the regions (uluses) of the Republic. The author pays special attention to the activities on creation of recommendation bibliography on “Yakut Studies”. The conclusions present the results of the development of the system of local lore bibliography in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The author highlights that the characteristic feature of the modern system of bibliographic indexes of the region is the integrity of the major types and kinds of bibliographic indexes; the organizational, technological and scientific components are identified in general; and the bibliographic provision of science and practical activity of the Republic is increasing. The presented system develops quite dynamically in the natural way of changes in the life of society.

Abstract:
As I was sunning on the beach this past summer, I read Ross Kidd’s bibliography and essay on popular performing arts in the Third World. My choice of reading material caused great consternation among my companions, who felt it would ward off anyone who otherwise might stop and chat. My friends suggested that reading a bibliography on a beach is tantamount to a formal announcement that one is a dull person. There is a degree of truth in this: bibliographies, notoriously short on narrative, let alone suspense, are dull reading. But then, they aren’t meant to be read like a novel. Bibliographies are resource material. By citing available material on a given subject, the bibliographer saves the rest of us a lot of time.

Abstract:
Valery P. Leonov proposed an original approach, opening prospects for the development of bibliographic studies in the digital age. The book's title conceptualizes and designates a new research program. The poetics of the bibliography is more than a theory of fine literature. It is understood as cultural-historical discipline combining information and humanistic functions of books. As a result of the very thorough analysis of the works on history and theory of literature, he concludes that the poetics should be understood as an art of bibliography. Leonov’s poetics of bibliography reveals the cultural and anthropological value of reading and writing, restores the high status of printed books. The library is seen as an important institution of socialization and humanization. The relevance and significance of the book are emphasized. V. Leonov has compiled the massive array of historical sources and current publications that modern bibliographers should get familiar with. The study findings may apply to developing new education courses in bibliography. The book will be of interest to professionals and the wide audience.

Abstract:
While archaeology never has been a regular part of the precollege curriculum, there have long been a few teachers, educators, and professional archaeologists who have believed in archaeology's educational potential for precollege students. Most often such teachers and educators have had a strong personal interest in the subject, and their enthusiasm provided the initial impetus for developing varied ways to incorporate archaeology into classroom teaching and school programs. Some educators have been further motivated to share their enthusiasm for archaeology, and for archaeology in precollege education, with other teachers and educators through the educational literature. Professional archaeologists, perhaps preoccupied with research and with the instruction of advanced students, have made a much smaller contribution to this literature; nevertheless, several have been heavily involved in programs for precollege students and teachers, and others have acted as consultants to classroom teachers on a less regular basis. Examples of the types of articles discussed here are listed in an annotated bibliography in Holm and Higgins (1985). Abstract:
The system of bibliographic information of the Book Chamber of Ukraine, based on the receipt of mandatory copies of printed materials, comprehensively covers various types of domestic printed materials and serves as an exhaustive basis for the creation and publication of state bibliographic indexes. The most important component of the current state bibliography is the "Book Chronicle", which contains comprehensive bibliographic information about books and brochures published in Ukraine from all fields of knowledge: scientific, popular science, educational, reference, religious, official, socio-political, production and practical, literary, artistic and popular publications for children and youth, etc.
Current trends in the development of the publishing industry, science and culture necessitate bibliometric analysis of the database of the state bibliography of book editions "Book Chronicle". The proposed analytical review covers the thematic distribution of publications in the database for 2019, which contains 17 634 bibliographic records, according to UDC classes.
A comparative analysis of the number of publications by sections of the UDC in order to determine the thematic focus of book publishing in Ukraine in 2019 in accordance with the branches of science. The analysis revealed that most of the records belong to classes 0, 3, 6 and 8 — 13 942 titles, or 79% of the total number of publications in 2019 — works of art and literature and books on education, law, economics, medicine, science; the remaining sections together account for less than half of all database records — 21%, or 3692 records.
