Abstract:
Teaching skills and learning skills existed even in the ancient times, though the terms were coined at a later stage. Dire necessity forced the ancient man to learn skills like hunting animals for food. As mankind was heading towards new civilisation, teaching skills found a place in society. Saints demonstrated skills in education as well as in warfare to princes. These teaching skills and learning skills have taken new dimensions to cater the needs of changing trends in all fields. Teachers exhibit skills like classroom management, use of black board and skill of explaining. Drastic changes have taken place in learning skills as well. Some people like craftsmen learn skills without formal education. But modern education demands organised classroom study. So, students have to acquire learning skills like concentration, punctuality and discipline. However the modern trends and necessities in education require constant developments in teaching skills and learning skills. The learning process has no end. It starts from childhood and lasts till death. This paper deals with various aspects of teaching skills and learning skills which are inevitable in education.

Abstract:
Medical teachers need training in pedagogic techniques in order to become better teachers. Despite the fact that our teaching techniques improve gradually over the years as we gain experience and also owing to continuous practice undertaken for different kinds of teaching learning situations; nevertheless educational technology has evolved ways and means for better development of teaching skills even at earlier stages by undertaking some methodical exercises, one of which is Microteaching. Microteaching, an innovative technique of teacher training, helps teachers to improve their teaching skills. It aims at development of competence in teaching skills through the practice of microteaching sessions1. In other words, it teaches teachers how to teach. This is especially important in cases of new faculty implying the budding teachers. Even an experienced teacher can benefit by this technique, particularly for learning some new skills1. The individual may be very sound in his/ her own subject but may not necessarily be a good teacher.

Abstract:
In this article, I describe a sophomore-level course on communication skills in psychology that includes library research skills, writing research reports and term papers in American Psychological Association (APA) style, making behavioral observation notes, and giving oral presentations. Students learn by listening to topical minilectures, seeing examples of students' writing, and doing their own writing and editing. Scores on written examinations testing knowledge of specific APA principles and application in writing showed steady improvement throughout the course. Student evaluations also reflected satisfaction with the course. The article includes suggestions for future refinement.

Abstract:
Reading, Knowledge, Motivation Reading is not only one of the most important skills in language teaching, but also one of the main objectives of learning English in general. Many factors such as students’ background knowledge, motivation, interest, organization of the texts and study skills may affect reading skill. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether teaching study skills would increase students’ reading comprehension ability or not. To achieve this goal an experiment was carried out at Anna University College of Engineering, Ramanathapuram, Tamilnadu, India during the second semester of 2016-2017. The results of the study supported the argument that skills in reading depend on the precise coordination of a number of special reading skills and there is a significant relationship between the knowledge of study skills and reading comprehension.

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify to the extent of applying effective teaching skills in teaching physical education. The researcher employed the descriptive survey method, and the study population consisted of all the students in enrolled in physical education teaching methods course during the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019 (N=83). A 35-item questionnaire was constructed, specially designed for the effective teaching skills (classroom management, planning, teaching aids, implementation, and evaluation). The scientific coefficients of the study instruments were calculated through obtaining the content validity and reliability (0.91); the means, standard deviation, T-test and One Way ANOVA to obtain the differences of the means and answer the questions. The results showed statistically significant differences at the (P≤0.05) level in the means of the effective teaching skills by gender, in favor of the males. There were statistically significant differences in the effective teaching skills, by academic years, in favor of the first year, and second years, respectively. The results further showed statistically significant differences in the effective teaching skills by academic department, in favor of the sport rehabilitation department.

Abstract:
One of targets issued by UN through SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in education is ensuring that all youth and adults have to achieve literacy and numeracy skills through long live education for both men and women. It is due to facts that education does not nationally wide spread among the developing and mostly, the third world countries. In those countries, the citizens whom literacy and numeracy skills are built up well are only them whose motivation in learning is high. Simply, it can be said that literacy awareness of those countries is unsatisfying. Realizing this fact, Indonesian government revises the National Curriculum of 2013 by the year 2017 and puts some important issues in learning process: (1) integrating five characters building; (2) elaborating literacy skills and 21st century skills (4C); and (3) integrating High Order Thinking Skill. Not only applied in lower education, these rules can be adopted also in higher education, such as university. Based on the literacy awareness and 4C skills that have to be developed during learning process, this research is aimed at increasing students’ soft skills through integrated character building, literacy skills habit, and critical thinking awareness in academic writing class. By enrolling action research to gain the objectives and taking whole semester, this research works on increasing students’ autonomy and honesty in learning, literacy in reading through article journal comprehension, and critical thinking through article journal summarizing.
