Full textISO 9001 standard is in widespread use in Tunisian firms. The questioning about its relevance and effectiveness is of a particular interest. Quality programs provide a ready and dynamic framework for patterns of organization, identification, measure and performance improvement and also focus on firm information system. This work aimed to examine the effects of ISO 9001 accreditation on knowledge creation and transfer and therefore on the firm performance. The preliminary analysis based on an empirical survey of 34 Tunisian firms from automotive components industry, suggests a positive association between quality practices and knowledge management. The main differences deal with externalization and internalization stages. The results confirm moreover most hypotheses concerning the presumed links between the construct. The impact on firm operational performance seems mediated by the knowledge management effect. Practices of a particular firm belonging to the original sample have been described, in order to comfort and illustrate the survey’s findings. This firm has been winner of the Tunisian quality award in 2007

Full textThe objective of this research is to identify dysfunctional behaviors inside teamwork. Il also tries to analyse the cause of their rise within a Tunisian context. Knowing that only few studies on such a theme have been led within this particular context, a qualitative and investigate research has proved to be relevant. In addition to individual, organizational factors, teamwork features, results of fields enquiry (which were led on members and team managers) show that the integration of contextual data related to the societal effect of the country in analyzing dysfunctional behaviors, renders a better understanding of these pejorative acts as well as deeper, more substantial, and more illuminating readings of this phenomenon

Full textIn rural areas, water management induces changes in technologies and in agricultural practices that face farmers. Farmers’ behaviors include both a desire for innovation and a land attachment through local customs, practices and representations. This identity attachment has often been regarded as an obstacle to the introduction of new techniques rather than an opportunity to be seized. This work, based on the case of Diar Hojjej (a coastal area of Cap Bon, Tunisia) aims to understand how rural entrepreneurship can be an engine to convey a strong environmental constraint area (water irrigation) to sustainable agricultural development, while taking into account the territory’s identity. The territory’s identity would it only be an obstacle to rural entrepreneurship? And what would be the most relevant model of entrepreneurship? [etc.]

Full textThis thesis aimed to contribute to the study of the determinants of business performance measured from the customer perspective. We are interested in value creation in general and to creating value for the customer in particular as an explanatory factor in the business performance measured by customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. In this research, we took the tunisian tourism as a research field and our objective was to study the impact of the value creation for the customer on the performance of the tunisian hotels. We investigated whether the services provided by hotel companies generate value for its customers and thus for the hotels. Empirically, the interest of this work was to join the economical concerns of the country where several Tunisian Studies (ONTT, Ministry of Tourism) call to create more value for customers in order to boost the sector and improve business performance of the hotels; and the concerns of managers who are interested in meeting the appropriate conditions to achieve performance through value creation

Full textThis research work aims to identify the relationship between the performance of an organization, its system of management as well as the institutional framework of the economy. Through a good airing of the managerial literature in report with our problem of research, we have seen the dominant effect of the institutional framework on the performance of the enterprise and that the latter imposed to leaders the adoption of management systems capable of providing for the survival of the company a minimum of reactivity and vigilance over the complexity, uncertainty and the perpetual change to the environment which means that the management system is a by-product of the institutional framework of the economy. Empirically, through a comparative study France-Tunisia, we have seen that the relative share of the institutional framework for the assessment of the performance of the Tunisian company, predominantly important, is the result of numerous and profound transformations and restructuring by which the country has crossed to see its economy as qualified emerging. As regards France, we thought it was obvious that the crisis that has shaken the economy lighthouse in Europe will certainly affect the performance of the French company, sometimes unable to overcome this cape, which has required the intervention of the government through the policies of recovery and regulating adequate. That is why even the supremacy of the effect exerted by the institutional framework of the economy on the performance of the French company

Full textOur research consists in examining "how IS contributes to organizational performance" and whether this contribution differs depending on the strategic orientation of the firm.We position ourselves in the field of research assessment based on the theory of resources, process-based approach and the ISSM model. Officials of 102 industrial firms Tunisian have valued the assets IS and their contributions to the process and the individual and organizational performance.Measurement tools have been developed and validated: IS quality, use value of SI. Our four-step process approach provides a good explanation of our latent constructs: quality of IS , use value of IS , IS contribution to individual and organizational performance, competitive performance and average growth rate of sales. Our structural model explains 12% of the growth rate of sales with GoF 54%. The relationships between strategic orientation, IS and performance, raise several dilemmas for which future research should be able to respond
