The automotive industry is under increasing pressure to enhance vehicle fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Lightweighting, the strategic reduction of vehicle mass, has emerged as a critical enabler in achieving these goals. This research article comprehensively examines the impact of lightweighting on both vehicle dynamics and fuel efficiency. By reducing inertia, lightweighting directly translates to lower energy consumption during acceleration and deceleration, leading to improved fuel economy. Furthermore, a lighter vehicle exhibits enhanced agility, responsiveness, and br

Abstract The relationship between intellectual property (IP) and innovation has been discussed extensively in extant literature. However, the dynamic essence of IP as an institutional context, particularly its setback and reversal, has received little attention. Through the lens of institutional dynamics theory, this study identifies four asymmetric categories of IP institutional dynamics: accelerating reforms, decaying reforms, decaying reversals, and accelerating reversals in a typical emerging market, China. Cylinder pressure when the intake valve closes is intensively examined because it determines the volumetric efficiency.
