Abstract:
Waste-based feedstocks and bioenergy intermediate carriers are key issues of the whole bioenergy value chain. Towards a circular economy, changing upcycling infra-structure systems takes time, while energy-from-waste (EfW) technologies like waste pyrolysis and gasification could play an integral part. Thus, the aim of this study is to propose a circular economy pathway for the waste to energy (WtE) thermochemical technologies, through which solid biomass waste can be slowly pyrolyzed to biochar (main product), in various regionally distributed small plants, and the pyro-oils, by-products of those plants could be used as an intermediate energy carrier to fuel a central gasification plant for syngas production. Through the performed review, the main parameters of the whole process chain, from waste to syngas, were discussed. The study develops a conceptual model that can be implemented for overcoming barriers to the broad deployment of WtE solutions. The proposed model of WtE facilities is changing the recycling economy into a circular economy, where nothing is wasted, while a carbon-negative energy carrier can be achieved. The downstream side of the process (cleaning of syngas) and the economic feasibility of the dual such system need optimization.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) are a major cause of nosocomial bloodstream infections. Enterococci exhibit remarkable genomic plasticity and can recombine through the acquisition of genetic material via mobile genetic elements (MGEs), including resistance genes. The accessory genome plays a major role in the evolution of enterococci within the human host. Thus, dissecting the entire genome (pan-genome) is of paramount importance to characterize the population structure of enterococci causing disease. Methods VENOUS is an ongoing prospective, observational study of adults with enterococcal bacteremia. From September 2016 to March 2018, E. faecalis (Efs) and E. faecium (Efm) were collected in 14 hospitals of a single hospital system and a major cancer center in Houston, TX, and a general hospital in Detroit, MI. Short- and long-read genomic sequencing were performed with Illumina MiSeq and Oxford Nanopore Technologies GridION X5, respectively. A proprietary bioinformatics pipeline was utilized for genome assembly and further analyses. Results 156 Efs and 98 Efm isolates from single patients were analyzed. The average proportion of core genes in each genome was 64.6% (53.0–74.1) and 49.1% (45.2–51.0) for Efs and Efm, respectively. The vanA gene cluster was identified in 5.1% (8/157) of Efs and 57.1% (56/98) of Efm. The plasmid-encoded aac(6′)-Ie-aph(2″)-Ia gene conferring high-level resistance to aminoglycosides was found in 37.6% (59/157) Efs, seven of which also possessed vanA. Long-read sequencing of vanA-harboring plasmids from a subset of VRE revealed that the vanA cluster was carried in plasmids ranging from 31.7 to 132.3 kb. Although the vanA operon was fairly conserved, insertions of MGE were identified in the intergenic regions of vanS/vanH and vanX/vanY. Furthermore, a variety of MGE insertions mediated integration of the vanA operon, including IS1216 and IS256 (figure). Conclusion Accessory genes, including AMR genes, comprise a significant proportion of the enterococcal pan-genome, indicating major genetic plasticity within these organisms. Acquired resistance genes seem to have a high degree of recombination and play a substantial role in the expansion of the genomic repertoire in clinical isolates. Disclosures Samuel L. Abstract:
Composing a paragraph in English is almost the same as writing an essay, namely by consisting of three main parts (introduction (topic sentence), body (supporting sentences), conclusion (concluding sentence)) to deliver a message to the readers. Because of this feature of teaching students how to create paragraphs under the proper instruction in practice, blended learning technologies enable both teachers and students to adapt the educational environment for the system of improving their (learners’) paragraph writing skills in the digital era of educational development. This study investigates the potential of blended learning technologies on students’ writing skills, especially paragraph writing in English as a foreign language (EFL). It examines students’ most improved EFL writing areas and perceptions while utilizing blended learning technologies to foster their paragraph writing skills in a systematic way. In this experiment, two groups of EFL writing course students participated during the first-semester 2021-2022. A mixed-method design was implemented into the experiment: course evaluation questionnaires, achievement tests, and students’ portfolios on writing tasks. Findings of the investigations illustrated that most of the participants’ mistakes were in composing topic sentences, creating ideas, and providing concluding sentences coherently and cohesively. The study showed that blending learning technologies in the environment of higher pedagogical education assisted both teachers and students to conduct lessons on the writing skills in a more effective and convenient way.

Abstract:
Even the groundswell of interest in mobile applications has not so far contributed to their integration into educational programs as an EFL learning tool. The purpose of the present review is to identify the current state and prospects for the use of mobile technologies in EFL teaching. The methodological basis of this research is a theoretical analysis of the literature data on the research topic. The evaluation of contemporary empirical studies conducted in Australia, China, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, Taiwan and other countries, has led to a conclusion that the implementation of mobile technology in EFL teaching gives predominantly positive results due to several merits of mobile devices relative to standard pedagogical tools. It was however underlined that researchers have yet to learn how to conduct methodologically sound, statistically relevant studies that would cover aspects of learning activities beyond the use of mobile technology. The authors conclude that when studying applications, researchers should not try to find a mobile application that can teach students everything they need, but should study the ways in which individual applications help to master a foreign language.

Abstract:
Introduction. The paper analyzes the works of scientists on the development of competences in the researched disciplines of the information technology cycle. The distribution of competencies according to different methodologies is shown. The classification of competencies is described. The technological toolkit of a single informational and educational environment has been studied. The concept of accumulation of competences is highlighted. The purpose of thr paper is to investigate the implementation' methodology of the competence approach to the study of the information technology' cycle disciplines Results. The paper presents the main software products. The author's vision of solving the problem of information technology development in universities is presented. The competency-based approach is determined by the pan-European trend of building educational programs of higher education - Tuning and its use in the educational process of Ukraine. The study of general competencies was one of the most important tasks of the implementation of the Tuning project in the educational process. Obtaining the planned results of the educational process is facilitated by the effective organization of independent work of the discipline "Internet technology" with the use of a single informational and educational environment. In such conditions, the approach to evaluation changes. The usual setting of grades for the discipline turns into tying grades to individual competencies that the student must acquire in the process of learning. The assessment for each work becomes multi-component. It has been established that the technological toolkit of a single informational and educational environment is an effective means of assessing the level of competence formation of higher education seekers. To use it, you need to create a "Competence Repository". Conclusions. Summarizing, we can draw the following conclusions. Thus, mastering the content of the disciplines of the cycle of information technologies by students of higher education in the conditions of a single informational and educational environment allows to speed up the process of obtaining and consolidating information, simplifying its perception, mastering a large amount of educational material in a fairly short period of time. Most higher education students are happy to learn new technologies with the help of their devices, develop intellectual abilities and try to increase their level of use of Internet technologies. And teachers get the opportunity to shape the development trajectories of each student; fundamentally new opportunities for the organization of research, project activities and adaptation of educational material to real life; fundamentally new opportunities for knowledge transfer: video lectures, webinars, video broadcasts, integrated practical classes, cooperative laboratory work; online communication. Therefore, the combination of face-to-face and remote forms of education is the next evolutionary step towards providing the educational process with the properties of adaptability, flexibility, openness and mobility.

Abstract:
Abstract Oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) are oil palm biomass that can be processed into organic amendments and energy sources. Currently, the methods to utilize these solid waste have become a concern because it is related to the implementation of the zero-waste concept. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the current management of EFB waste from palm oil mills based on the concept of zero waste and renewable energy. This study used secondary data analysis of palm oil mills, field interviews, and literature study to evaluate EFB waste management. The results showed that the ratio of EFB and CPO produced by palm oil mills was around 27:23. The average EFB produced by manufacturers is 3,558.8 tons/month. Most palm oil mills manage their EFB wastes using mulching treatment. This showed that palm oil mills in Indonesia have yet to implement the existing technologies that many researchers have developed. Composting and anaerobic digestion are the alternative treatments that can be implemented by palm oil mills since both can reduce the EFB waste and produce products that can be sold and reused. The government of Indonesia can encourage palm oil mills to shift their waste management from using mulching treatment to anaerobic digestion and composting treatment.

Abstract:
The paper considers the scientific views on the issue of legal conscience. The structure, components, functions, types and levels of legal conscience are studied. Modern society is at the stage of global transition to a new technological order, the features of which are determined not only by changes in technology, but also by the state of public institutions. The emergence, creation and widespread practical application of revolutionary technologies (artificial intelligence, augmented reality, blockchain technologies, analytical structures based on Big Data, self-managed Smart Everything systems, etc.) creates a new "digital ecosystem" in which the legal system cannot remain unchanged. The paper includes the advantages and threats associated with the use of digital technologies in legal practice. Attention is drawn to the transformational processes in the life of society associated with digitalization and their impact on the branch of law, determines the change in its target function, its forms, mechanisms and actions. With the development of digital technologies, there is the emergence of new legal relations that cause both positive and negative impact on the formation of human legal consciousness. The positive impact includes the Internet, which is turning into a Tool for regulating the economy and law, digital management methods in the form of «electronic government», as well as the process of «digitalization of law», carried out using new digital technologies in order to optimize processes and legal relations. Along with this, negative factors were identified, such as: clip thinking, increased unemployment, cybercrime, namely the emergence of new types of crimes (Internet banking, financially motivated hacker attacks with extortion of money, DDoS cyberattacks).

Abstract:
The use of fertilizers is one of the most eff ective methods for ensuring a steady increase in the yield of tea plantations and maintaining it at a high level. The author analyzed agrotechnical requirements for the establishment and maintenance of tea plantations, taking into account the specifi c natural production and physiological characteristics of tea plants. The paper considers the infl uence of agrotechnical methods for the care of tea plantations on their productivity, such as: fertilizing, pruning, and cultivating the soil in the inter-rows. It has been established that both mineral and organic fertilizers greatly infl uencence on the development and productivity of tea plants. The latter type in the form of manure or peat compost, when applied in 4 years one time at a rate of 50 t/ha, gives an excellent eff ect. First, organic fertilizers are used for plantations located on slopes or fl at areas with heavy soils. Doses of nitrogen fertilizers are set depending on the age and yield of the tea plantation. It is noted that plantations with closed rows and trellis trimming do not need deep tillage. On such plantations, it is recommended to carry out winter tillage every 3-4 years with the simultaneous intra-soil application of phosphorus and organic fertilizers. The timing of applying phosphorus fertilizers can be adjusted depending on their content in the soil. It is recommended to leave the trellis pruning material on the plantations as an organic fertilizer for plant nutrition. According to the current agrotechnical requirements, the optimal indicator of soil acidity, at which a tea plant shows maximum viability and can give the highest leaf yield, is PH = 4.0…6.5.

Abstract:
Teachers' views influence how they choose pedagogical methods and how they execute teaching practices in the classroom. An investigation of teachers' views regarding the notion of "language socialization" (LS) and how it may be used to enhance pedagogical application via the use of social networking technologies (SNTs) in a Yemeni EFL setting is the subject of this study. In this study, 30 EFL teachers participated in a survey. Five males were interviewed out of the total number of participants. The findings revealed that the vast majority of teachers had good associations with LS as a teaching method and positive reactions to the use of SNTs in the EFL classrooms even though most participants had never used SNTs in their own classrooms. Because of a lack of access to and training in the usage of SNTs, teachers have been prevented from integrating them into their classrooms when teaching English. This suggests that instructors recognize the important functions that SNTs play in improving students’ language learning and socialization but that they lack first-hand experience and training in how to use them in their classrooms effectively. That there is a shortage of provision must be addressed as soon as possible to guarantee that Yemeni English as a foreign language teachers and their students have the chance to engage with new technologies in order to enhance their educational experiences critically.

Openness in science and education is increasing in importance within the digital knowledge society. So far, less attention has been paid to teaching Open Science in bachelor’s degrees or in qualitative methods. Therefore, the aim of this article is to use a seminar example to explore what Open Science practices can be taught in qualitative research and how digital tools can be involved. The seminar focused on the following practices: Open data practices, the practice of using the free and open source tool “Collaborative online Interpretation, the practice of participating, cooperating, collaborating and contributing through participatory technologies and in social (based) networks. To learn Open Science practices, the students were involved in a qualitative research project about “Use of digital technologies for the study and habitus of students”. The study shows the practices of Open Data are easy to teach, whereas the use of free and open source tools and participatory technologies for collaboration, participation, cooperation and contribution is more difficult. In addition, a cultural shift would have to take place within German universities to promote Open Science practices in general.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to some aspects of state policy of digital development. The coherence level of the goals established in the normative-legal acts concerning the rating position of Ukraine according to the international indices characterizing the development level of digital economy and society, information and communication technologies introduction, is estimated. The purpose of the paper is to study the key priorities of public policy in the field of information and communication and digital technologies at the present stage, the consistency of the policy goals, the effectiveness of certain directions of public financial policy (especially investment) to stimulate the development of this area, with the appropriate analytical presentation of its results. The conclusions on the realism and prospects of achieving the planned rating goals in the short term are argued. Emphasis is placed on the risks of government implementation of the state policy of digital development caused by the identified differences in its target indicators established in the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as the importance of preventing them in policy development in the medium and long term. Basing on the analysis of cumulative volumes of capital investments and the created gross value added (both in the economy of Ukraine as a whole and in the information and communication and digital technologies field), the conclusions on the contribution of this area to the creation of gross value added by the domestic economy, taking into account the amount of financial resources aimed at capital investment in 2010-2018 were made. A comparative analysis of investment activity of economic entities in the information and communication and digital technologies field, which was provided by both budgetary and non-budgetary sources is given. Based on the revealed disagreements between the government’s declared priority for the development of this sector and the volumes and shares of the financial resources of the state and local budgets actually aimed at its development, the opportunities for increasing of the effectiveness of the state’s investment policy in the information, communication and digital technologies field in the future are indicated.

Abstract:
This study constructed a computer scoring model for Chinese EFL learners’ English-to-Chinese translations using multidisciplinary techniques in corpus linguistics, natural language processing, information retrieval and statistics. The proposed model, once implemented as computer software, can score English-to-Chinese translations in large-scale examinations. This study built five tentative scoring models with 50, 100, 130, 150 and 180 translations as the training set for 300 translations of an expository writing. The correlation coefficients between the computed scores of these models and human-assigned scores were above 0.8. The results further indicated that the computed scores with 130 training translations were closest to human-assigned scores. Therefore, it was concluded that the text features extracted in this research were effective and the finalized model can produce reliable scores for Chinese EFL learners’ English-to-Chinese expository translations.

Introduction. Recent research in the field of international entrepreneurship suggests that the introduction of e-commerce can contribute to further growth for businesses by gaining opportunities to enter new markets and providing access to new customer segments. The purpose of the paper is to consider the possibility of managing the international activities of the enterprise on the basis of innovative technologies. Results. An important stage in the development of the enterprise is the introduction of innovative technologies for the sale of goods on the international market. There are five key areas to enter the international market through global e-commerce. Choosing the right market is an important issue that needs to be researched for the development of international business. When a company conducts its business abroad or enters new markets, the evaluation and selection of tools that can automate any aspect of internationalization will increase the chances of a quick return on investment. Localization of the site is not only the basis for acquiring and building long-term relationships with foreign customers, it is also the basis for expecting success at all levels of enterprise development in the international arena. When entering the international market, you need to determine whether you need to create your own store or use the special services for online sales. Both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Conclusion. Domestic companies have a huge potential to develop international markets through online technology. Creating your own online store on an international platform will significantly expand the range of consumers and generate significant profits, which in turn will develop the company's international activities. But it is necessary to approach this issue carefully and calculate all possible risks, as not many companies in Ukraine have such experience and it will be difficult to learn from the mistakes of others.

Abstract This article presents and briefly discusses the results from a survey conducted with English teachers of the third cycle and secondary education in Portugal as part of a study on multiple literacies and Web 2.0 in English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom (Cardoso). Based on the answers provided, it can be assumed that among this group of teachers, new technologies tend to be part of their professional practice. However, it is unclear if digital tools have been used to actually promote more innovative ways of teaching or just as a different way to approach more traditional methods. Moreover, it seems that suitable guidance, training and further development of appropriate materials are required to facilitate and better integrate new technologies in the EFL classroom.

Abstract:
Introduction. Criminalistics is a science that aims to satisfy the needs of the practice and not only the investigator, but also the prosecutor's, lawyer's and expert's. And this is especially true of the current stage of society, where it faces many challenges and modern technologies are rapidly evolving. This puts forensics with complex and varied tasks, both related to the provision of practice and the training of relevant professionals. The issue of introduction of innovations into the practice of investigation of criminal offenses was of great relevance. An important aspect of the introduction of the latest technologies and innovations in the process of investigation of criminal offenses is their use during investigative actions, in particular, the crime scene investigation. However, the coverage of some aspects of the use of innovation during the crime scene investigation remains relevant and needs to be addressed. The purpose of the paper is to look at specific issues related to the use of innovation during the crime scene investigation. Results. The paper deals with the use of innovation in the investigation process, in particular in such investigative action as the crime scene investigation. Some aspects, as well as the current state of the use of technical and forensic tools during this investigative action, are investigated. Ways to improve and improve the performance of the review by using innovation during its conduct are analyzed. Specific issues related to the use of innovation during the crime scene investigation are addressed. Innovation in this investigative action is an urgent need of time, especially since technologies have reached a high level and allow them to perform various tasks quickly and effectively. Conclusion. Criminalistics should evolve dynamically both as a science and as a discipline. She must respond to the practice's requests in a timely manner. And this, accordingly, requires a high level of training of both future practitioners and scientists who will later become at the forefront of forensics. The latest technologies and innovations should be actively introduced by criminalistics into the practice of criminal investigation.

Abstract:
Teachers’ beliefs play a key role in their selection of language teaching methodologies; they affect teachers’ pedagogical practices and behaviours and are consequently integral in shaping the language learning classroom environment. This study investigated the beliefs of teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL) in relation to the concept of ‘language socialisation’ (LS) and its pedagogical application through the use of social networking technologies (SNTs) in a Saudi university language learning context. Data comprised a survey, which was administered to a total of 28 EFL teachers, of whom five male instructors were interviewed. Findings showed that the majority of teachers reported positive associations with LS as a teaching method, as well as positive responses towards the use of SNTs in the EFL classroom despite the fact that most participants had never used SNTs in their teaching. It can be concluded that, while the EFL teachers in this study acknowledged the potentially important role that SNTs could play in enhancing students’ language learning and socialisation, their lack of first-hand classroom experience with SNTs reflected the fact that there was little access to and training in the use of these technologies. This lack of provision needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency to ensure that Saudi EFL teachers and their students are given an opportunity to engage critically with innovative technologies that may enhance the quality of their pedagogical experiences. Abstract:
Environmentally friendly technologies have long been recognized as a widespread phenomenon working within the functions and performance of farms. Farmer’s cooperative organization might profoundly foster the environmentally friendly technologies (EFT) and availing competitive advantage to the farmer. Illustrated by the natural-resource-based view of the farm (NRBV), this study examined the influence of organizational support, organizational norms, and organizational learning on adopting EFT and proposed a model quantifying the impacts of these approaches towards availing competitive capabilities (i.e., cost, quality, flexibility, and delivery). The framework is empirically endorsed by employing the partial least squares approach to structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of a household survey from a spectrum of 292 farmers of 38 kiwifruit cooperatives of Meixian County, China, from August to September 2020. The findings demonstrate that organizational support, organizational norms, and organizational learning positively influence EFT. Moreover, the study found EFT positively impacts product cost, product quality, product delivery, and production flexibility. Interestingly, the relationship between the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and the competitive capabilities of kiwifruit farmers of Meixian is positively significant. The study proposes several policy recommendations emphasizing the role of organizations in the form of farmer’s cooperatives in boosting farmers to engage in proenvironmental behavior and, therefore, shifting the trends of future research directions on the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies.

Introduction. Establishment of foreign economic relations between the countries in the field of customs activity involves the mutual use of methods of foreign economic activity regulation. The penetration and rapid spread of information technologies, the development of the transport system, and scientific research have led to the diversification of foreign economic relations, where customs relations have acquired a different character and the use of innovative technologies is becoming increasingly important. The purpose of the paper is to study the peculiarities of innovative processes occurring in the customs authorities and to determine the directions of improving communications with enterprises using innovative technologies. Results. It is found out that a lot of foreign customs authorities use various innovations, including radio frequency scanning, block chain technologies, laser technologies, biometric tunnels, “smart entry”, drones, virtual assistant, flying SpectroDrones and others. The classification of innovative customs technologies of customs control which are divided on product and process technologies is offered in the scientific work, thus product customs innovative technologies allow to receive and analyze information even before the crossing of the customs border or the arrival of the vehicle at customs, and process technologies provide an opportunity to conduct customs inspection more effectively. The developed model is aimed to improve the interaction between customs bodies and the enterprises on the basis of implementation of innovative technologies and formation of criteria of assignment of the special code to the enterprise that gives "green light" and possibility of making a quick decision at the checkpoint by the lower divisions of the customs service. Conclusion. The main factor of the improvement of the interaction of customs authorities with enterprises based on the introduction of innovative technologies is the complete computerization and informatization of the entire customs process, as well as the accumulation and use of customs history to identify goods and participants of the FEA, which create a potential threat to the security of the FEA.

Abstract:
Intercultural communication is a fundamental aspect in EFL classrooms since language teaching (LT) classrooms have tended to provide learners with environments to improve their cultural awareness and intercultural communication in the academic discourses. Researches of both spoken and written discourses have demonstrated that linguistic phenomena are related to their society and culture. The present paper is concerned with the impact of using collaborative technologies to create a relaxed and open atmosphere for language learning, increase retention of cultural background knowledge and stimulate both creative and critical thinking during language classrooms at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. This paper outlines the culture-aware collaborative technologies founded on task-based approach within a discourse view of language, culture and communication, and presents the findings on how those culturally sensitive communication tasks in foreign-language teaching can influence people to succeed in collaboration with the target language users in a sociocultural context. The initiatives to create an intercultural environment and encourage effective intercultural collaboration in EFL classrooms has a positive impact on language learners’ personal and professional development, with greater understanding of social and cultural issues, ethical awareness and intercultural communication.

Abstract The palm oil industry is one industry that significantly contributes to the Indonesian economy. Indonesia’s palm oil exports keep increasing every year. In addition to producing CPO, the palm industry also produces solid, liquid and gaseous waste. The resulting waste can pollute the environment. Solid waste from the palm industry consists of oil palm empty fruit bunches, fruit juice fiber, palm kernel cake, shells and other solid waste. Of the various types of solid waste produced, oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) is the largest waste. The comparison of EFB waste management is presented in this paper. In recent years, various kinds of EFB handling have been implemented by researchers in order to increase the usefulness and added value of EFB. These range from simple technologies to advanced technologies. EFB has been used as a potential source of raw materials, such as raw materials for biofuels, mulch, papermaking materials, compost and agricultural biochar production. This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each technology and new technology proposals.

Abstract:
The paper demonstrates the feasibility of information and communication technologies (ICT) in English as a foreign language (EFL) teaching and learning process. The organizational and pedagogical approaches to efficient EFL learning in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic have been outlined. Furthermore, the main perspectives and challenges appearing in an online learning environment have been characterized. The proposed paper aims to consider the possibility of integrating innovative computer technologies into online foreign language learning to foster students’ autonomy and boost their language proficiency. The findings suggest that using ICT is beneficial for mastering a foreign language in out-of-class settings. Admittedly, there is no perfect or universal blend that may suit all the EFL learning environments. Therefore, it is claimed that blended programs should be created for each academic course regarding students’ wants, needs, and abilities. Furthermore, each higher educational institution needs to have a strategy for designing and implementing a distance EFL learning program that considers instructional, pedagogical, and technological factors.

Abstract:
In recent years, increasing availability of digital technologies and internet connection for the majority of global population has affected almost every aspect of modern life including education and language learning. As a result, the face of language learning is changing both inside and outside the classroom and there is an ever growing need to study various affordances of these new technologies in education and learners’ and teachers’ attitudes towards using them. To this end, the current study investigated Iranian EFL learners’ preferences regarding the use of different digital technologies for language learning beyond the classroom and their beliefs on how these technologies augment their language skills. To collect participants’ data, an online questionnaire was employed and responses from 114 Iranian EFL learners (50 males and 64 females) were obtained through a locally popular social media network. The results of the online survey revealed that participants use various media types and digital technologies for developing their language skills beyond the classroom, and electronic dictionaries, Internet sites, and films are among the highly employed multimedia types. Further statistical analysis (MANOVA) of data also revealed that despite some variation in frequency of use for various technology types among male and female participants, the two groups only have significant differences in using computer games and music. Findings of the study indicate that despite some imposed restrictions on social network and Internet use in Iran, most Iranian EFL learners are actively using them in their language learning beyond the classroom. On implication side, the paper discusses some benefits of using digital technologies for language learning and teaching.

The article analyzes and identifi es problematic points on the way of development of domestic sheep breeding. The cost-eff ective development of sheep breeding depends on many factors: correctly selected zoned sheep breeds, the maintenance system, the feed base, breeding work carried out on the farm, mechanization and automation of technological processes, etc. A step-by-step review of the formation and development of one of the most important branches of animal husbandry – sheep breeding, showed that even in the period 1960-1990 last century, it was industrial and profi table, but by 2000, due to the situation that arose, there was a reduction in the number of sheep and the liquidation of many farms. The number of sheep and goats by 2000, in comparison with 1990, amounted to 25.4% and in subsequent years did not recover to the previous level. Summarizing the achievements of the past years, their detailed analysis, illustrations of individual zootechnical and technological processes that clearly demonstrate the possibility of successful, effi cient and industrial sheep breeding, the use of this experience at this time will contribute to the stable and eff ective development of the industry and the elimination of the identifi ed problems.

ABSTRACT This article presents and briefly discusses some results of a survey conducted as part of a study on multiple literacies and the use of technology in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. An online questionnaire has been sent to English teachers of the third cycle and secondary education in Portugal with the aim to investigate their perceptions on the use of new technologies, particularly Web 2.0 tools, in their teaching practice. This article focuses particularly on the results from the questions related to materials and digital tools frequently used, teachers’ general view on the use of technology, as well as the digital and critical literacies approach. It has been found that although technology seems to be part of the teaching practice of this group of teachers – and although further research is necessary to deeply understand the actual use of technology in this particular scenario – it can be assumed that suitable guidance, training and further development of appropriate materials for teachers and students are necessary to facilitate and better integrate new technologies in the EFL classroom. Keywords: New technologies and language learning. Multiliteracies. Digital literacies. Critical thinking. English language teaching. Abstract:
The work considers the peculiarities of formulating the business model of the commercial enterprise on the basis of improvements in the accounting and analytical support. A particular role of the rational organization of accounting in the implementation of principles of re-engineering in the enterprise business processes has been proven within the scope of the presented paper. For these purposes, the accounting ratios and indicators represented in the reporting information must remain precise, reliable and relevant, adapted to transfer and identification by all hardware resources and technological means without data corruption. The paper incorporates the elaborated scheme for re-engineering of accounting and analytical support for inventory management according to the intended purposes. It is determined that forecasting of the prospects of the enterprise development based upon conducting re-engineering of the accounting and analytical system serves to establish the best possible directions for its activity, to evaluate new possibilities and alternatives that are employed in drafting the balance statements in the process of predictive assessment and promotes the rational use of resources. The re-engineering is based upon the use of the latest information technologies. Therefore, quite frequently re-engineering becomes compared to the notions of computerization of business processes, automation and reorganization of the enterprise. The processes must be conceived with the use of modern communication technologies, use of the Internet, objective multi-level models for development of computing systems, achievements in the domain of databases. Information technologies are intended to facilitate the management of large amounts of data. Implementation of the principles of re-engineering within the practical activity of enterprises requires continuous stimulation of the personnel towards their professional growth. Introduction of the computer-mediated system of accounting at the enterprise must be preceded by the re-engineering of business processes, i.e. re-thinking and re-designing the enterprise activities for the purpose of achieving sizeable improvements in such key indicators of modern business management as the profit, the quality, the level of service and the prompt responsiveness. The success of re-engineering is bound with fast transformations in the enterprise while namely the radical nature of measures applied serves as the key indicator. It is imperative that enterprise employees would be committed to radical and swift changes in their work, with the corresponding absence of conflicts. Another point of success would be managing every employee of the company to form a common and specific understanding of the future of enterprise.

Transformation of personnel management processes under the influence of digitalization is inevitable due to the evolution of enterprise management in general and it is a positive event, because entails increasing efficiency and shifting staff employment to more creative professions, which require unique knowledge, skills and abilities. Undoubtedly, such qualitative transformations will affect not only the internal environment of the enterprise, but also the labor market as a whole and in connection with it the education system. To achieve the positive effect of such transformations, comprehensive work is needed to implement them both at the level of individual enterprises and at the level of the national economic system. Modernization of personnel management methods may require significant investment in technology and communication, but the consequences of non-compliance with consumer experience can be significant not only for the reputation, brand, involvement and retention of employees, but also to achieve the key purpose of the enterprise.
