Abstract:
The intake of natural water or waste water from a depth exceeding the suction height of centrifugal pumps is mainly carried out due to additional water supply at the suction of the pump. However, this process becomes more complicated if it is necessary to purify water from mechanical impurities. The purpose of the presented work is to consider this issue based on the development and study of the parameters of an ejector water intake treatment plant equipped with a pressure-vacuum hydrocyclone. The article describes a new structural and technological scheme of a thermal vacuum extruder, where chambers for preliminary and final dehydration of the finished product interact with each other by means of an ejector. The steam pumped out of the final dehydration chamber by means of a vacuum pump moves to the high-pressure part of the ejector and is removed outside for regeneration of the thermal energy spent on machine technological process. Simultaneously, this air flow ensures the steam movement from preliminary dehydration chamber of the extruder to the low-pressure part of the ejector.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of SGLT2 inhibitor treatment on RV function and PAS in HFrEF patients. Materials andMethods: 168 HFrEF patients with New York Heart Association (

The plant-infecting geminiviruses encapsidate their single-stranded DNA genome in characteristic twinned particles that are unique among viruses. These particles are formed by joining two incomplete T=1 icosahedra. African cassava mosaic virions were purified by density-gradient centrifugation from infected Nicotiana benthamiana plants and analysed for their stability with respect to pH changes and heat treatment by using electron microscopy. Negative staining and rotary shadowing revealed stable virions as well as isolated capsomeres between pH 4.0 and 8.5. At pH 9.0 and above, particles disi

Background and Clinical Significance: Heart failure and kidney diseases often coexist and are difficult to clinically manage. Dysfunction in either organ exacerbates dysfunction in the other, potentially leading to cardiorenal syndrome (CRS). CRS has five different subtypes, with CRS type 5 being the most problematic given that it consists of an acute insult superimposed upon chronic CRS. Additionally, type 5 CRS can be complicated by heart failure-related cardiogenic shock (HF-CS), which is associated with increased hospitalizations and has a high 1-year mortality rate. Right ventricular (RV) function is an important determinant of prognosis in congenital heart diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure. Preventive sildenafil treatment has been shown to enhance systolic RV function and improve exercise capacity in a model of fixed RV pressure load. However, it is unknown whether sildenafil has beneficial effects when treatment is started in established RV dysfunction, which is clinically more relevant. Our aim was to assess the effects of sildenafil treatment on RV function and fibrosis in a model of established RV dysfunction due to fixed afterload.
