Přes dvacet let trvající dominance pojmu udržitelného rozvoje v environmentální argumentaci vedla podle mnoha autorů k devalvaci jeho významového obsahu a ztrátě jeho schopnosti motivovat potřebnou změnu chování na úrovni jednotlivců i celé společnosti. O oživení radikálního étosu se pokouší koncept udržitelného nerůstu (sustainable degrowth), který získává váhu v rámci eko-sociálního hnutí i akademické debaty v posledním desetiletí. Udržitelný nerůst můžeme definovat jako demokratický, sociálně spravedlivý a environmentálně přínosný proces postupného snižování objemu produkce a spotřeby, které přispívá k lidské spokojenosti. Nerůstová argumentace vychází z širokého spektra myšlenkových zdrojů včetně environmentální etiky, ekologické ekonomie či kritiky rozvoje. Hnutí nerůstu se vyvíjelo po roce 2000 ve své aktivistické i akademické formě zejména ve Francii, Itálii a Španělsku, v menším rozsahu pak v mnoha dalších zemích. Svým apelem na celospolečenskou změnu se nerůst liší od konceptů dobrovolné skromnosti či tzv. downshiftingu, a může být interpretován jako přechodná fáze k tzv. ekonomice ustáleného stavu. Jedním z klíčových argumentů nerůstového hnutí je kritika ekonomismu a depolitizace veřejného prostoru. Otevřenou otázkou zůstává, co by mělo současný, na ekonomicko-růstové logice založený, systém nahradit.

The main aim of this thesis is to design electric scooter, which is ideally adapted for urban mobility and which will be a practical, attractive and environmental friendly alternative to the car with a combustion engine. Emphasis is given to proposal of ergonomic, aesthetic and functional solution of the system, which makes that scooter can be folded into a mobile compact shape. Folded scooter can be carried at public transportation vehicles and park right at home or in the office. The unique design and practical features of a scooter should be attractive not only in terms of personal mobility, but also as a utility vehicle for private companies and public institutions.

This thesis focuses on the analysis of environmental audit instruments in economic terms. It is primarily aimed at assessing the effectiveness of this tool for entrepreneurs. The first stage of work is focused on the concept and definition of environmental audit and its history. This study then reports an analysis of benefits and costs of the environmental management system which is a prerequisite for setting auditing ISO 14001 and EMAS. The practical part of this thesis contains two case studies of specific examples of audits based on ISO certification.

Extraction of mineral resources constituted the development of industrial companies worldwide. But it has a major impact on the landscape and environment. Restoration of areas disturbed by mining is current issue especially on large surfaces after surface mining. In the Sokolov region, the forest reclamation was carried out on the Antonin spoil bank in the years 1969-1972, where forest stands of different species composition were established under the same conditions. The aim of this work is to compare the mixed pine stands on anthropogenic soils more than 40 years after their foundation, to assess their suitability for reclamation and to describe the influence of admixed deciduous trees on the production and ecological potential of the site. On the plots the basic mensurational and production quantities of the stand were measured. The dendrochronological analysis was performed and the diameter increment was detected for the main species Scots pine. Based on the diameter increment, the tolerance analysis was carried out for the highest risk factor on these sites - drought. The most appropriate in local conditions seems to be a structure of pine stands with an admixture of lime trees, which is characterized by the highest production, soil formation and ecological potential. The work also points to two important factors that significantly influenced the silviculture on the Antonin spoil bank. It is the neglect of stand tending, and thus significant disruption in stand stability, and limiting intake of water, causing significant declines in increment regardless of an admixture or character of the stands.

The study is focusing on comparison of efficiency and ecological impacts of photovoltaic power stations depending on their locations in the Czech Republic. The report gives us an overview of photovoltaic power stations efficiency and also their environmental value by minimising CO2 emissions due to replacing conventional energy technologies. The research is based on data taken from energy audits of photovoltaic power stations in Vidov (South Bohemia), in Hodonice (South Moravia) and Lahošť (North Bohemia). The measured data of efficiency and CO2 savings are compared to forecast data from numerical weather prediction models PVSYST, PVGIS and Meteonorm. The project revealed, that photovoltaic power stations efficiency directly depends on their geographic location. Decisive factor was sunlight. Paired comparison showed, that there is a difference between photovoltaic power stations in Lahošť, Hodonice (P < 0,01) and Vidov (P < 0,05). The difference between real and expected datas from each photovoltaic systems was conclusive (p < 0,01). Significant was also factor of month (p < 0,001).

In the first part of my diploma thesis I am going to theoretically analyze organic farming. I will focus on the principles of organic farming, walfare and organic production. The next topic consists of how to register in the organic farming system, and individual inspecting organizations. The theoretical part will be concluded with evaluation of the organic farming in the Zlin region. In the experimental part I will talk about the Ing. Sluštík – Vladimír organic farm. First, I will introduce the farm, its location, the activities the farm focuses most on, and the machinery that is available and used. I will than carry out the SWOT analysis. Next the opportunities from the analysis will be more detailed and analyzed. Here I will be counting what turnover was reached on the farm in 2017. This amount will be compared with turnovers which could be reached with possible extended activities on the farm, or focus on different activities.

The topic of my work is Characteristics of organic farming-benefits and risks of the specific business plan. In the introduction, I speak about characteristics of organic agriculture and organic food. In the other part, I describe the marketing strategies, plans for organic farming and then also about the organic farms in the Vysocina region. Another section focus on the family farm called Ekofarma Deblín. This farm has the production of organic vegetables and fruits. Based on the evaluation of the production I made SWOT analysis. The final section is comparing the specific supply of the organic food in the retail chain and the common available items. In addition, I evaluated the quiz about the knowledge of consumers regarding the organic food.
