Eintlik behoort alle "-logie-" woorde op die wetenskap wat 'n bepaalde saak bestudeer, te slaan, maar soos met 'n paar ander woorde beteken ekologie ook die objek, die saak self wat bestudeer word. Abstract:
Već u prošlom stoljeću, otkako je počelo zanimanje za ekološke probleme ili probleme ambijentalne ekologije, započelo je zanimanje ambijentalista i ekologa za sv. Franju Asiškoga i njegov spontani pristup prirodi. To je potvrdila i Katolička Crkva kada ga je 29. studenog 1979. proglasila zaštitnikom djelatnika ekologije. Sv. Franjo bio je kao svetac poznat po svojoj jedinstvenoj duhovnosti, posebice po svome putu siromaštva i po svojoj ljubavi prema siromasima, ali je u naše vrijeme postao poznat kao Franjo ekolog diljem svijeta, pa i u znanstvenim krugovima bez obzira na religiju. U članku se raspravlja o Franjinu bratstvu sa stvorenim, o bitnim oznakama franjevačke teologije prisutnosti, o samoj pjesmi stvorenja koju i papa Franjo citira 12 puta, dok se u zadnjem dijelu proučava Franjina Pjesma stvorenja, i aktualizira njezina originalnost, i povijesna i aktualna.

Abstract:
Ekologia jest dziedziną biologii zajmującą się życiem roślin i zwierząt w ich środowisku. Ochrona przyrody to praktyczne działania, gdzie stosuje się ekologię. Ekologia jest najbardziej biologiczną dziedziną biologii, ponieważ zajmuje się osobnikami w ich środowisku życia, a osobniki „istnieją” tylko w biologii. Najważniejszym problemem, jaki rozważa się w ekologii jest różnorodność biologiczna: jej zmiany oraz jej trwanie. W swoich badaniach ekolodzy skupiają się na funkcjonowaniu układów ekologicznych. W klasycznym ujęciu zakładają, że najważniejszymi mechanizmami są zależności od zagęszczenia. Model matematyczne stosowane tradycyjnie w ekologii to zwykle równania różniczkowe i różnicowe, co dobrze pasuje do założenia o zależnościach od zagęszczenia, ale powoduje to, że ekologia została zdominowana przez rozważania nad stabilnością układów ekologicznych. Biologia ewolucyjna i ekologia mają rozłączne dziedziny zainteresowania. Biologia ewolucyjna wyjaśnia powstawanie optymalnych cech osobników. Ekologia bierze pod uwagę także te osobniki, które przegrały w procesie doboru naturalnego. Metody matematyczne używane w klasycznej ekologii powstały na użytek fizyki. Rodzi się pytanie, czy dają one prawidłowy obraz dynamiki układów ekologicznych. Ostatnio pojawił się pogląd, że, aby dostrzec znaczenie różnorodności biologicznej w pełnej skali, powinniśmy odwołać się do osobników (a nie do zagęszczenia populacji) jako podstawowych „atomów”, z których składają się układy ekologiczne. Zwiemy to podejściem osobniczym w ekologii. Daje ono jednak bardzo skomplikowany obraz funkcjonowania układów ekologicznych. W ekologii istnieje jednak alternatywny sposób opisu dynamiki układów ekologicznych poprzez krążenie materii w nich i przepływ energii przez nie. Pozwala on przy budowie modeli matematycznych na stosowanie tradycyjnych równań różniczkowych i różnicowych, co wielokrotnie sprawdzało się w praktycznych zastosowaniach.

Abstract:
Die Bergengel (The Angel of the Mountain), with its striking nature centeredness, is characterised by poetical and lyrical use of language. This aspect is drawn into the ecocritical study of the novel in this article. Hubert Zapf’s theory on literature as cultural ecology, placed within the theoretical frame of material ecocriticism, supplies the foundation for this study. An ecocritical reading of Die Bergengel leads to uncovering a counter-discourse in the novel aimed at disrupting prevalent anthropocentric views on nature and environmental issues. Narrative events reveal the agentic power of nature and its dynamic influence on human conditions; the novel challenges the long taken-for-granted dominant position of humankind. The poetic language effectively functions in highlighting the interconnections between different forms of life where previously we had seen separations, suggesting more thoughtful interpretations of human-nonhuman-relations underlying the practices of environmental violence and exploitation the novel speaks of. Where the play with language and words is so directly connected with the ecocritical discourse, literature’s potential in bringing together the supposed separated spheres of culture (language) and nature becomes clear. Die Bergengel cogently voices the idea of the “reintegrative interdiscourse” which is central to Zapf’s viewing of literature as cultural ecology.

Although the letter to the Colossians was written almost 2000 years ago it is surprising how much can be gathered by means of guidelines and principles with regard to these matters. Although Paul and the Colossians were not aware of the specific ecological problems that we face, there are nevertheless certain impulses in this letter which could guide us to a more balanced outlook with regard to these matters.

Snaha o rehabilitaci významu zvuku jako nejen fyzikálního, ale především sociálního a kulturního fenoménu vedla na konci šedesátých let 20. století k formování nového, od počátku interdisciplinárně konstituovaného oboru akustické ekologie, který dal posléze vzniknout oblasti dnes souhrnně označované jako soundscape studies. Předkládaný příspěvek vychází z této myšlenkové a výzkumné tradice a hledá odpovědi na otázky „Jaké je zvukové prostředí současného města?“ a „Jak je toto zvukové prostředí prožíváno jeho obyvateli?“.

Abstract:
Stvaranje planeta Zemlje zajedno s biljnim i životinjskim svijetom svoj je vrhunac imao u procesu stvaranja čovjeka na Božju sliku, a koju je čovjek kasnije uprljao grijehom. Rezultiralo je to udaljavanjem stvorenja od Stvoritelja i stvaranjem raznih kriza, pa tako i ekološke krize. Sukladno tomu, tema ekologije sve je aktualnija u našem vremenu, a mnogi predstavnici protestantskih i evanđeoskih kršćanskih crkava tijekom povijesti govorili su o važnosti ekologije. U našem vremenu ta se tematika dotakla na Trećem Lausannskom kongresu za evangelizaciju svijeta koji se održao u Capetownu 2010. Kako je skupu prisustvovao velik broj predstavnika evanđeoskih crkava diljem svijeta, izneseni stav u obliku dokumenta ujedno je i pogled na ekologiju iz prizme evanđeoskog kršćanstva. Budući da se ljubav prema Bogu, među ostalim, izražava u ljubavi prema Božjem stvorenju, u ovome članku prvo se analizira odnos teologije i ekologije. Nakon toga razmatra se na koje bi načine biblijski zapis stvaranja trebao informirati i formirati odnos evanđeoskih kršćana prema Zemlji. Treći dio članka bavi se pitanjem „ekološkog otiska“ na razini svijeta te sagledava gdje se u svemu tome nalazi Hrvatska. Četvrti dio članka donosi pogled na ekologiju iz prizme protestantskih i evanđeoskih crkva, dok se u petom dijelu razmatraju izazovi današnjeg vremena i nude se dva smjera djelovanja: jedan je materijalističko-humanistički, a drugi je protestantsko-evanđeoski. U članku se zaključuje kako su kršćani, kao djeca Božja, pozvani vršiti volju Nebeskog Oca te biti primjerom i svjetlom u egocentričnom svijetu današnjice. Ekološke su krize u neposrednoj korelaciji s krizom morala, ali, jednako tako, sve aktivnosti koje se provode u svrhu očuvanja okoliša, a bez promjene čovjekove biti, k tomu posljedično i njegovih navika, ostvaruju samo kratkoročne rezultate bez temeljitih promjena. Jedino promjenom samoga čovjeka i njegovim pokajanjem, on može postati odgovoran u svome etičkom pristupu prema okolišu koji ga okružuje.

Abstract:
Celem opracowania jest prezentacja komercyjnych zastosowań ekologii krajobrazu w Polsce w latach 1983–2017. Skoncentrowano się na aplikacjach dla potrzeb szeroko ujętego gospodarowania przestrzenią. Bodźcem dla badań były m.in. zmiany organizacyjne w nauce polskiej. Tło dla badań stanowi dyskusja definicji i związków ekologii krajobrazu, geoekologii i geografii fizycznej kompleksowej oraz ich relacje z gospodarowaniem przestrzenią. Materiał zgromadzono w formie odpowiedzi na ankietę internetową, przeprowadzoną wśród członków Polskiej Asocjacji Ekologii Krajobrazu. Pełnych odpowiedzi udzieliło 38 spośród 65 respondentów. Analizie poddano 821 ekspertyz, które obejmowały 12 głównych grup zastosowań oraz 25 rodzajów opracowań. Ich duża różnorodność wynikała również ze specyfiki ich odbiorców, wśród których wydzielono 9 głównych grup i 39 rodzajów instytucji. Szczegółowej analizie poddano rozkład przestrzenny i czasowy kierunków zastosowań oraz podano przykłady ekspertyz należących do tych kierunków, a także reprezentatywne dla nich monografie naukowe, wykonane w badanych ośrodkach. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że ekologia krajobrazu stanowi jedną z bardziej praktycznych dyscyplin nauki związanych z geografią, realizując projekty aplikacyjne z zakresu ochrony środowiska czy planowania przestrzennego lub strategicznego. Mimo tych cech, jej przyszłość, w świetle zmian organizacyjnych w krajowym systemie naukowo-akademickim, nie jest jasna, a rozbicie ekologów krajobrazu pomiędzy kilka dziedzin i dyscyplin, może być zarówno atutem, jak i problemem dla jej rozwoju.

Abstract:
Termites are one of the most important ecological factors on Earth. By right, they are called ecosystem engineers. They influence their habitat by very complex ways - recycling of plant tissues, aerating soil, transporting huge amounts of organic matter. Thanks to their ability decompose up to 100% of local production of celulose and lignin, they are responsible for termination of coal origination. Their ecological and evolutionary succsess is based on organization of their eusocial community into several different castes. Precize distribution of tasks between castes is one of the crucial factors of evolutionary success of termites. It is the undertanding of their ontogeny and colony organization what is key to effective fight against pest species and, on the opposite, the key to effective help to those species important for decomposing and transport of organic matter in soil.

The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the relation between ecology and law. The thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter One is introductory and defines the term ecology. Chapter Two focuses on law and its role in ecology. Chapter Three explains the importance of principles as the unifying elements of legal regulation. Chapter Four investigates the chosen principles of law intrinsic to environmental protection. Abstract:
Ecology of expansion species is still a hot topic. The antropogenic landscape gradually occurred since the Neolithic . The result has been a change in the structure of plant communities and the successful expansion of species such as Calamagrostis epigejos. C. epigejos is expansive, perennial, long-stemmed, rhizomatous grass. Its important characteristic are very large ecological amplitude, high biomass production and a ability adjust habitat conditions. Experiments and studies that are included in dissertation, have the following basic objectives: (1) Investigate the expansion of C. epigejos in plant community. (2) Investigate the theoretical degree of stability of this phytocenosis. (3) Determine the response of C. epigejos to nutrients availability. (4) Test of possibility eliminating of C. epigejos. (5) Suggest a practical use of C. epigeos. Primarily, we monitored the reaction of interest species to management (aplication of N, P, K nutrients, mowing in various combinations). We were interested in its behavior in the plant community. It founded field and pot experiment. Results of field experiment were also used to calculate the theoretical measure of the stability of individual variants. Further research has been directed at eliminating C. epigejos using wireworms (Elateridae larvae species). The study which uses C epigejos for monitoring of deposition of heavy metals, has shown that aspects of the global expansion of the grass are not always negative.

This thesis compares the environmental information systems and the providing of environmental information from the government institutions. The objective of this work is to analyze current information systems under the Integrated environmental information system (JISZP) and verify the hypothesis that all these information systems are integrated. The further goal is to prove whether or not the Act No. 123/1998 is fulfilled in practice. The first part contains an analysis of JISZP systems according to various criteria. The second part maps the legislation of information providing and verifies the compliance with the Law No. 123/1998. The final part contains an evaluation and recommendations for further action.

Abstract:
This thesis is focused on perceptual and compositional aspects of soundscape art in the 40-year tradition of acoustic ecology. From the long history of acoustic ecology I selected important community, institutional worldwide and Czech projects. My main focus is to bring the keywords of acoustic ecology and soundscape into Czech theory. I use two points of view for the study of soundscape: 1. soundwalk / listening walk - specific way of listening to the acoustic space in the form of a soundwalk or listening walk 2. analysis of sound composition - the analysis is focused on traditional composition approaches to the study of sound compositions The first approach is active listening ? the psychology of listening that R. M. Schafer uses for interaction with our surroundings. The second approach fo-cuses on looking for traditional composing approaches in the analysis of sound compositions "Winter Diary" (R. M. Schafer) and "Un altro ferragosto" (A. Curran). The thesis is also narrowly focused on autobiographical reflection, which provides a link to both of the examined approaches. This is a pilgrimage to the city of Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrimage gave rise to the soundscape composition Ultreia: El diario del peregrino / The Pilgrim's Diary itself. The objective of the analysis is to give an answer to the following question: In what way has the tradition of acoustic ecology and R. M. Schafer?s way of thinking, influenced approaches / thinking of composers in the field of sound composition?

Urban environments provide suitable habitats for species that are ready to adapt to the specific conditions. One of such species is Eurasian sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) that has adapted to the Prague city environment. This dissertation explores and describes selected aspects of sparrowhawks ecology in urban and rural environment. It focuses on comparison of selected aspects of sparrowhawk ecology between urban and rural study areas.

Sažetak: Sociološkim osvrtom ekološku krizu promatramo kao fenomen začet u industrijskom dobu, dok filozofskim osvrtom uvodimo čitatelja u početke filozofske ekološke misli, tzv. dubinsku ekologiju. Obrađuje se pojam bioetike čija načela su sadržana u svakom obliku održivog razvoja. Ekonomski osvrt prikazuje kako je nastao sustav novih vrijednosti poslovanja, etos, i kako ekonomski padovi uzrokuju ne samo ekološku krizu, već i mnogo pogubnije oblike kriza. Bavljenjem posljedicama ekonomskog rasta i pratećih pojava ekološke krize zanemario se cjelokupan pogled u društveno uređenje budućnosti. Održivi razvoj uzima u obzir vremenski odmak i razmatra kako današnje odluke i kreacije utječu na budućnost, okoliš, socijalno-ekonomske i ekološke promjene. U radu se objašnjava politika održivog razvoja Europske unije te odgovornost Republika Hrvatska u kontekstu ekološke krize. Kao primjer praktične provedbe ekoloških akcija navodi se Fond za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost. Abstract: With a sociological review, we view the ecological crisis as a phenomenon conceived in the industrial age, while with a philosophical review I introduce the reader to the beginnings of philosophical ecological thought, the so-called deep ecology. The notion of bioethics is discussed, the principles of which are contained in every form of sustainable development. The economic review shows how the system of new business values, ethos, emerged, and how economic downturns cause not only an ecological crisis, but also much more devastating forms of crisis. Dealing with the consequences of economic growth and the accompanying phenomena of the ecological crisis, the entire view of the social order of the future has been neglected. Sustainable development takes into account the passage of time and considers how today's decisions and creations affect the future, the environment, socio-economic and environmental changes. The paper explains the policy of sustainable development of the European Union and the responsibility of the Republic of Croatia in the context of the ecological crisis. The Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency is cited as an example of the practical implementation of environmental actions.
