Audio-to-MIDI conversion can be used to allow digital musical control through an analog instrument. Audio-to-MIDI converters rely on fundamental frequency estimators that are usually restricted to a minimum delay of two fundamental periods. This delay is perceptible for the case of bass notes. In this paper, we analyse the merits and limitations of SP compared with other methods. We also review the empirical results provided by SP surveys, and assess their validity for modelling market diffusion. We also propose a metaanalysis- based Synthetic Utility Function that consolidates results across various studies and can be used for simulation purposes in a Discrete Choice Model setti

Abstract:
For the greater part of the past 50 years, music educators have advocated for contemporary approaches to music education that reflect the interests of students. This has recently manifested in an approach to music education that scholars call Modern Band. Though the term lacks any one definition, Modern Band classes typically involve popular music making with guitars, drum set, electric bass, and keyboard. Among the features of this approach is a student-centered orientation that is focused on the individual learner. Additionally, Modern Band is rooted in informal music-learning theory, which

Plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) are considered to reduce oil dependency, noise, and local air pollution as well as greenhouse gas emissions caused by road transportation. Today, the early market penetration phase has started and can be observed in many countries. But how could the diffusion and adoption of PEV be modeled to create consistent scenarios? With which PEV driving and charging behavior can these scenarios be associated and what load-shifting potentials can be derived? This work provides an answer to these questions by describing a hybrid modeling approach of a PEV diffusion scenario

Wireless is a wireless network technology that can be used for voice and data communications. The need for a wireless network system makes the need for technology grow very rapidly starting from communication and data transmission media, one of the technological developments in data transmission media. One of them is in the field of music. Most of the musical instruments such as microphones, bass guitars, acoustic guitars, and electric guitars already use wireless. This can facilitate the movement of these musical players while playing their musical instruments on stage. Therefore, a wireless

The maximum effectiveness of the process of preparation for the e-learning environment can be achieved only through the coordinated development of psychological, technical, technological, information, legal, methodological and other components of the process. The introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process has led to the creation of a new form of teaching - distance learning - in addition to traditional teaching methods.

This ethnography is an investigation of the notion of democracy as community-in-the-making. The researcher and nine band students came together to create music that was meaningful and self-reflective. The participants elected to split into two distinct ensembles. Group 1 chose not to compose on their primary band instruments, opting for electric guitar, bass, synthesized piano, and drums. Group 2 chose to create music using traditional concert band instruments. Choosing a genre and working with the traditions governing its creative processes seemed to be the largest determinant of a groups cul

Electric impedance spectroscopy techniques have been widely employed to study basic biological processes, and recently explored to estimate postmortem interval (PMI). However, the most-relevant parameter to approximate PMI has not been recognized so far. This study investigated electrical conductivity changes in muscle of 18 sea bass specimens, maintained at different room temperatures (15.0 °C; 20.0 °C; 25.0 °C), during a 24 h postmortem period using an oscilloscope coupled with a signal generator, as innovative technology. The root mean square (RMS) was selected among all measured parameters
