Abstract: The objective ofthis thesis is to discuss the application of the methodologies of Life Cycle Cost Analysis(LCCA) and of Statistical Analysis as tools to propose energy efficiency standards, complementally to the voluntary labels already existent in the Brazilian one-door refrigerators. Another objective is to study the role of these instruments (energy efficiency labels and standards) in order to seek technical subsidies for the establishment of maximum level of electric energy consumption for electrical equipments in Brazil. The LCCA and Statistical Analysis methodologies permit to evaluate the impacts of the energy efficiency increase in electrical equipments commercialized in Brazil, resulting in important savings (energy, financial, carbon dioxide emissions avoided etc) for the country and its citizens. The results of this study offer important data to subsidize deeper discussions with manufacturers and the govemment to stipulate minimum energy efficiency standards for the Brazilian refrigerators. One of the important conclusions is that, even though there are other methodologies, such as the Statistical Analysis which does not take technological costs into account, the LCCA allows to better understand the market (costs, technological capacity etc) and suggests the best MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standards) with the maximum economic retum for the consumer. Nevertheless, when it is not possible to collect all the necessary data to apply the LCCA, it can be used a more simplified analysis, such as the Statistical Analysis methodology

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to understand Korean consumers' perceptual processes induced by comparative price advertisements. While controlling for intrinsic product cue effects, this study examines the joint effects of extrinsic cues, such as comparative price (regular price /sale price), brand name, country-of-manufacture, and retailer name, on a consumer's perception of a product's price and quality. In examining the effects of advertising contextual cues, this study incorporates consumer perceptual processes, the processes through which the external cues are perceived and compared to or moderated by other variables. The perceptual structure is based on relevant theories and accumulated knowledge from research in this area. Specially adapted theories for this study are the adaptation-level theory, the message learning theory, and the transaction utility theory.

Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to create a methodology to identify, rank and select one-door refrigerators in accordance to environmental and socioeconomic criteria set by a Brazilian Ecolabelling Programme, to identify the current status of the Sector, the possibilities of improvements in environmental quality and the gains, either environmental, economic or in terms of energy savings, by replacing the household refrigerators stock. The methodology was divided in two main parts: the first part presents the methodology for the identification, ranking and selection of the refrigerators to concede the Brazilian Ecolabel. This methodology was developed based on the concepts of Product Life Cycle, risk analysis and Pareto principle; the second part ("Global Gains") is focused on the development of the technical-economic analysis methodology that will provide the results of the potential savings with the simulation of the replacing of the country' stock of old refrigerators. The results achieved by the simulation of the methodology developed in this study provide important data to subsidize the development of the Brazilian Ecolabelling Programme for household refrigerators. An important conclusion is the need to take a closer look at the gases contained in old refrigerators and/or in new refrigerators, which present considerably high Global Warming Potential. Thus, this Thesis can contribute to assist planners and decision makers in developing strategic plans either by the government (development of public policies) or by the industrial sector to assist the definition of the Products Research and Development activities (refrigerators) with smaller environmental impact, to benefit society

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to understand how the kitchen environment and the home appliances are articulated to the people´s lifestyle. It assumes that people organize their lives in different ways, anchored in habits and values that were being created, maintained or modified throughout the history of humanity. These habits and values are due to the cultural, social, economic, geographic, political and technological contexts in which people live, as well as the material and immaterial personal background of each one of them, interrelated and interdependent in the composition of the environment, manifesting the complexity and the cultural diversity. The kitchen is seen as an environment of cultural expression and, thus, the expression of identities. It involves not only food preparation and serving, but also the organization of different types of artifacts in this space, as well as the positioning and the kitchen functions in the housing context. These elements represent symbolic values of its residents (or users), in different degrees of interference, because there are those who have more or less influence on this space formation and maintenance. With this perspective in mind, this study is anchored in a theoretical interdisciplinary basis that moves mainly among anthropology, sociology, architecture and design, aiming to clarify issues related to the origins of the kitchen and the social changes associated with the development of technological resources in this environment, especially, to home appliances. Understanding that social changes and technological development constitute integrated product and process in a system, a qualitative and interpretative research with couples from the city of Florianópolis/SC has been conducted. The main goals of this research were: to identify and interpret how the routines are established in the home environment specifically in the kitchen; to identify and interpret how people perceive the interference of technological resources in their daily lives in the home, specifically in the kitchen; to identify and interpret consumption habits of electronic artifacts in the home environment, related to the kitchen; to identify and interpret differences in gender relations in the household, especially in the kitchen, realizing that all this takes place in scenarios and contexts of cultural diversity and hybridization. The survey results enable to broaden and deepen the knowledge on the contexts, profiles and requirements of the people to whom the projetual interrelated activities are made such as architecture and design, among others.

Abstract:
Many studies have conducted in the past that related to the domestic energy sector and households' appliances. These previous studies have explained the energy trends in the United Kingdom. In addition to this, the past studies have also provided wealth of information. However, all of these studies had some limitations. In addition, there were many gaps in the past studies regarding to the timing of usage the household's appliances and their daily contribution to the daily and peak demand. In this study, the researcher intended to overcome the limitations and gaps regarding the appliances time of use in the UK. In the present study, the data collected from Hillingdon Borough of London to ensure the study use the most reliable and valid data. Most importantly, suitable sampling and data collection technique applied in this study, which helped to obtain the appropriate data and outcome. All respondents were from the domestic sectors of the United Kingdom. Apart from this, to measure energy consumption in a more accurate manner, home appliances were categorised into several categories based on their functionality. Moreover, the household's appliances were categorised into time categories based on the time of use the appliances in order to determine the contribution of individual appliances at a certain time slot of the day to the total household consumption. Finally, the recommendations that have suggested in this study based on the current study as well as past studies. This means that the recommendations are a combination of all the major studies conducted. Additionally, based on the time a category of the household's appliances, a model was introduced that helped to determine how much of electrical appliances energy consuming in the UK households. Based on this model, the appliances consumption can managed and controlled. Thus, the model will help in mitigating the chances of the energy peak demand and will contribute towards energy and cost savings. Further, this study provides a valuable contribution to the field of smart homes as through the developed model, people can design a more efficient smart home. This specific method of determining energy demand has made the study more appropriate to forecast the 24h electricity demand and electricity price.

Chong, Wang. "Critical discourse analysis of Chinese electric household appliance advertisements from 1981 to 1996." Thesis, University of Northampton, 2015. http://nectar.northampton.ac.uk/7336/.

Full text
Abstract:
The boom in the Chinese advertising industry after its economic reform in 1978 has aroused the scholarly interest of linguistic researchers. However, most studies of advertising discourse tend to consist of pure linguistic analysis focusing on vocabulary, grammar and textual organization. Little attention has been given to other components, such as the visual images of the advertisements, while study at the ideological level is rare. In order to fill this gap, I employed a critical approach to Chinese household appliance advertisements that appeared in the 1980s and 1990s. The theoretical framework for this research was constructed in line with the theories of Fairclough (1994, 2006), Altheide (1996), Wisker (2008), Halliday (2008) Dyer (1993), Williamson (1978, 2005), and so on. Of these theories, the theory of critical discourse analysis as developed by Norman Fairclough has been central throughout the research. The focus of the research is centered on the particular manifestations of the advertisements in magazines entitled Household Appliance rather than broad generalization. To this end, purposive sampling was undertaken and approximately 82 sample advertisements were collected covering three time periods within the general chronological frame of 1981 to 1996 (i.e. 1981-1985, 1986-1990 and 1991-1996). The data analysis has been conducted on the two major components: first, linguistic features with three values (i.e. experiential, relational and expressive values) and intertextuality; second, the visual images concerning the themes of actors, clothing, props and settings. The research findings revealed that the ideological values in the Chinese household appliance advertisements are embedded in the advertising language and illustrations. These ideological elements represent the values of culture, social relations, economy and politics. The findings also revealed that the ideological values were either dynamic or static, but they were intertwined. Meanwhile, the comparative study of the data over the three phases presented a changing trend in ideological values. In addition these could be seen as related to the changing mainstream values in China. The findings of the analysis suggest that ideological values are adopted in the advertisements consciously or unconsciously to attract viewers’ attention and persuade them to purchase products. Meanwhile, the ideological elements have the function of mirroring and transmitting the values of society. My conclusion is that examining advertising discourse ideologically through linguistic and visual components shows how Chinese ideology moved in a pattern from simplicity to diversity (e.g. more ideologies in terms of number and variety), from being politically-oriented to being economic and profit-oriented, from conservation to globalization and westernization (e.g. more relaxed lifestyle, individuality and spiritual freedom) during the period of 1980s and 1990s. The changing pattern reflects the reality of Chinese politics, economy and society at a time when China experienced the growth of the market economy and evolution of Chinese mainstream ideologies and this also indicates the impact of economic reform on the change of ideological meanings in advertisements. It is hoped that my work allows the researcher to discover more profound meanings behind the superficial content of the advertisements.

Changcheng, Yao, and Zhang Le. "Inventory Control of WEEE (Waste of Electronic and Electrical Equipment) Reverse Logistics in parts of China : The HEA (household electrical appliances) manufacturers’ perspective." Thesis, Linnéuniversitetet, Ekonomihögskolan, ELNU, 2011. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:lnu:diva-11956.

Abstract:
Title: Inventory Control of WEEE (Waste of Electronic and Electrical Equipment) Reverse Logistics in parts of China  --The HEA (household electrical appliances) manufacturers’ perspective   Background: With economic development, the requirement of public for enterprises and products has become increasingly rational. Price is no longer the only consideration of public, they also pay attention to other factors, such as energy conservation. The manufacturers face enormous challenges because of the late start of products recycling in China. So enterprises start to build their own recycling logistics system in order to have more competitive for themselves.   Purpose: The purpose is to describe the methods of inventory controls in the case HEA manufacturers and the problems of inventory controls, find out what problems exsist in the case manufacturers, then analyze what are the origins of these issues for HEA manufacturers as well as propose how these issues can be alleviated, and what methods would be suitable. By solving these research questions, the thesis tries to offer some suggestions about inventory control improvement not only to the cases, but also wider to the whole HEA manufacturers in China.   Method: Multiple - case study as research method has been applied. Specifically, two case companies, Chinese HEA manufacturers, have been selected. Two telephone focused interviews combined with open-ended interviews have been conducted with two related managers. The empirical evidence has been analyzed by using with-in case study and cross-case analysis method, then model analysis is applied.     Results, conclusion: First, the methods are not good enough in the two case companies, a new model is built to help inventory control in the case companies. Second, from external and internal perspective, the origins to cause the problems are a lot, but the main causes are environmental factors, and in busy seasons of these companies. Besides, for doing reverse logistics is a capital costing job, none of the enterprises would like to step in. and reverse logistics is in an uncertainty environment, doing so need to make sure everything clearly and orderly, or costs will be a large amount. The best way of improving inventory control of WEEE reverse logistics in China is that the enterprises standing together to restore the orders.   Limitations and drawbacks: For one thing, there are not enough previous studies references in China, this brought some difficulties of supporting the view points in the thesis. Two empirical cases are not persuasive enough to represent the whole China due to the limitation of the authors’ knowledge and the huge area of China. Nevertheless, the ideal model in model analysis is not that complicated, which means, for more complex problems and processes, the model would be lame.

Abstract:
In order for a new product development to have better chances of success in today’s competitive market, companies should focus on meeting the real consumer needs in their projects. Thus, it is necessary that the consumer wishes be transformed correctly into clear and objective product specifications. Otherwise, the incorrect or subjective target specifications could generate a product which does not fulfill to the consumer expectations. It is known that the redesign and rework needed due to product modifications would involve loss of time, cost and quality. So, the specification elaboration process during the product development is critical to achieve the targets as time-to-market, cost and quality of the final product. The translation of the voice of customer into project technical requirements is usually accomplished by such methods as, for example, QFD. However, the QFD is not used very often in several industries, like the home appliances factory, because it is general and difficult to use. Therefore, the main objective is to develop a systematic approach for a home appliance specification elaboration, in this case, a cooker. A field study was conducted in a company of this branch to verify the research opportunity and data collection for the method and tool development. Next, an electronic spreadsheet toll was developed for automatically generate the target specifications of a cooker from input data of the project. The systematic validation was implemented by the comparative analysis among the results obtained by the tool with previous products already developed by the researched company. The result of this study indicates that the method proposed is a mechanism for generating specifications in a simple and practical way, contributing to greater assertiveness in product development and can be embedded in the daily-basis process of the company.

Fu, Xiao. "The influences of budgetary system in a selection of large Chinese companies in the industry of electronic household appliances." Thesis, Durham University, 2012. http://etheses.dur.ac.uk/3644/.

Full text
Abstract:
Budgetary control has been used and researched for years by both Western academics and practitioners. In China, it is re-emerging as a tool to implement management control, but might be used in different ways both in terms of understanding and operation. The research objective of this thesis is to examine the applicability of Western theories of change in management accounting in the context of budgeting in Chinese corporations. Challenges can exist because of the differences between Western assumptions and Chinese reality. The current thesis focuses on difficulties Chinese companies encounter in practical and deeper ideological ways: firstly, Western market-based ideology conflicts with an ideology which has been shaped by central-planning for decades; secondly, difficulties stem from the different cultural context of China which emphasizes hierarchical politeness, kinship ties, trust based on personal relationships, collectivism and social harmony, diligence and individual modesty, and less developed modern legal regulatory systems – these all contribute to China’s own way of doing things. This thesis also focuses on the transition process in China. Based on the assumption that budgetary changes do not happen in isolation from other management accounting changes, this thesis discusses these changes which synchronically took place while the case-study companies were implementing budgetary systems. This thesis adopts a longitudinal and in-depth qualitative case study research design, after adjustments made during the learning experience of the pilot study. It takes an interpretive and constructive philosophical underpinning, which allows the researcher to observe and understand the process of change, as well as the differences between Chinese practices and Western theories. Findings show that certain Western management accounting theories of change and Western theories of budgeting work in the case study Chinese corporations. Management accounting theories using an interpretive approach (for example, Berry et al., 1985; Scapens and Roberts, 1993; Ahrens and Chapman, 2002) lead the researcher to interpret management accounting practices from the practitioner’s points of view, and they have provided a range of terms to explain success or failure of management accounting changes. This approach together with Scapens et al.’s Institutional theory approach in management accounting have been found especially useful, in explaining the differences between Chinese vs. Western context. Furthermore, the contingency theory approach in management accounting gives a ‘platform’ which allows the researcher to assess a wide range of possible factors and their relationships with budgetary systems in studied companies. This approach is found useful in this thesis to present changes in other management accounting perspectives. Last but not least, this thesis finds existing Western literature in technical perspective of budgetary objectives, budgetary evaluation and participation, and budgetary effectiveness useful in a different context of China. By describing the change management process, an aspect which is not addressed frequently in the research literature, this thesis argues that to sufficiently understand Chinese companies’ budgetary changes, one also needs to understand unique cultural, social-economical and religious circumstances, and to adjust literature and methodology to adapt to these circumstances. This thesis provides an empirical experience concerning these issues. This thesis contributes to the understanding of management accounting change in China, and the tension which exists when Chinese companies are moving into Western management accounting practices.

The work presented extends and contributes to research in Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM), focussing on steady-state and transient power measurement disaggregation techniques for circuits containing household ap- pliances. Although previous work in this area has produced and evaluated a wide range of NILM approaches, much of it has involved the use of datasets captured from real-world household implementations. In such cases, the lack of accurate ground truth data makes it di cult to assess disaggregation tech- niques. In the research presented, three NILM techniques are comparatively evaluated using measurements from typical household appliances assembled within a laboratory environment, where accurate ground truth data could be compiled to complement the measurements. This allows for the accu- racy of the various disaggregation approaches to be precisely evaluated. It is demonstrated that the correlation of transient event edges in aggregated power measurements to individual appliance transient exemplars performs better than the matching of steady-state power levels against individual ap- pliance state combinations. Furthermore, the transient approach is shown to be the most appropriate technique for further development.

In the 21st century, the economics and society alternated very fast which changed the consumers’ buying behaviors and the distributor’s sales models. The shopping channels of household electrical appliances were evoluted along the time , liked the traditional shops in the 60’s, the general merchandising store in the 80’s, and the shop on network now. The main purpose of this study is to investigate whether the characteristics of consumer and channel influence consumers’ shopping channels. A convenient sampling method was used to select respondents. A total of 360 questionnaires are distributed to consumer of Household Electrical Appliances in Kaohsiung City. 240 valid and complete questionnaires were used for the quantitative analysis. The collected data in effective questionnaires is calculated and analyzed by the statistical analysis tools –SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The analysis method includes descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. According to the literature review and the results of data analysis, conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The male, unmarried, young groups have higher consumer characteristics and channel characteristics. Also, they usually search the information from the Internet, check prices and then choose the purchasing channel afterward. 2. The male, married, with children groups have a higher channel preference and channel loyalty. They choose single physical channel after they actual contact household electrical appliances. Finally, from the case study, we will propose a future development approach and suggestion for the household electrical appliance distributor.

Abstract:
Research Doctorate - Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
The development of smart grids, especially the vast deployment of smart meters, enables users to access their energy data on a much more detailed scale. This has promoted considerable interest in nonintrusive load monitoring (NILM) research. It is hoped that NILM techniques can separate energy-consumption data into individual appliance levels, thereby aiding customers who want to save energy or cut back usage. For this dissertation, we implemented a novel NILM system based on a support vector machine (SVM), an edge symbol analysis method (ESA), and principal power component analysis (PPCA). Our research uses a set of power load disaggregation methods, which constitute the most important part of our NILM system. Furthermore, our system automatically monitors a household power consumption and the power consumption of individual devices. We have developed the means to automatically detect a power-load event and the means to classify appliances based on machine learning. Our methods involve a new transient-detection algorithm. By analysing turn-on and turn-off transients, it can accurately detect the points when a device is switched on or switched off. The proposed load classification technique can identify different power appliances with better recognition accuracy and computational speed. The load classification method comprises two items: frequency feature analysis and a support vector machine. Our results indicate that by incorporating the new edge detection and turn-on, turn-off transient signature analyses into our NILM, more information is revealed than by traditional NILM methods. The load classification method achieved more than 90 percent recognition rate. We also propose a multiple class support vector machine to recognize different appliances. The approach consists of two stages. In stage one, feature analysis is applied to power signals. In stage two, a trained classifier based on SVM was applied to identify different appliances. Our experiment results on real data give better performance compared to other studies that have used supervised classification for household power-appliance monitoring. Our contributions also focus on feature extraction and pattern analysis for whole-house power load classification and disaggregation. Specifically, after finding a specific power event (such as a switch-on or switch-off) and clustering data in terms of power factor, the optimized features can be obtained from our algorithm by looking at harmonics of active/reactive power and using eigenvalue feature analysis. The experiments, based on real world data, give higher recognition accuracy and faster computational speed, and represent a promising approach for distinguishing different loads effectively.

This thesis investigates the contactless power transmission system with a small gap for small household electrical appliances’ inductive charging system. At first the applications and fundamental principles of contactless power transmission systems are studied, then the thesis followed by the discussion of the factors associated with the operating of system. The design of coupling structure is established by analyzing the comparison of different adequate cores. Then, the thesis focuses on the principle and design method of the compensation circuit to explain the practical design. The concept of reflected impedance is also introduced to understand the influence of the secondary load in the whole system. As for the circuit structure, it uses double closed-loop control to keep the coupling efficiency and provide overcurrent protection. Finally, this system is implemented in real circuit to be used to charge a 600mAh li-ion battery. The best coupling efficiency is 82.1% in charging processes with 2.5mm gap.

A variety of small household electrical appliances (SHEA) are operated by means of rechargeable batteries. In addition, wireless chargers are also increasing. But most chargers can only charge a fixed voltage of small household electrical appliances. Therefore this design develops a multi-voltage wireless charging pad with a MCU which can not only automatically identify the RFID tag for small household electrical appliances, but also can automatically supply four voltage levels, such as 12V, 9V, 5V, and 3.3V as required by small household electrical appliances voltages, to charge the rechargeable battery.

Donoghue, Sune. "An explanation of consumer complaint behaviour concerning performance failure of major electrical household appliances." Thesis, 2008. http://hdl.handle.net/2263/25279.

Abstract:
In this study, three lines of consumer satisfaction/dissatisfaction and complaint behaviour research were integrated, namely the expectancy disconfirmation model (Churchill&Suprenant, 1982; Bearden&Teel, 1983) (satisfaction/dissatisfaction research), Weiner’s (1986) causal dimensions (attribution theory), and Day and Landon’s (1977) taxonomy of complaint behaviour Traditional thinking concerning the disconfirmation of expectations only recognises a direct link from disconfirmation to satisfaction/dissatisfaction. However, evidence suggests that the disconfirmation of expectations acts as an important causal agent for generating attributional processing. In a consumer behaviour context, the performance failure of major household appliances often brings about a causal search. Consumers' affective reactions (generated by their causal attributions and the underlying properties of locus, stability and controllability) and their expectations for future product failure were found to determine their complaint behaviour The unit of analysis for this study was consumers who had recently purchased major household appliances (within the prior four-year period) and who could recall an unsatisfactory experience concerning the performance of such appliance. Attributes for the demographic variables were: gender, age, level of education, level of income and culture. A convenience sampling technique was employed, with 216 respondents having completed a self-administered questionnaire. This study showed that consumers’ complaint behaviour concerning dissatisfactory major household appliances was directed by a combination of functional and symbolic performance failures. A profile of complainers engaging in private versus public complaint action in terms of differences in gender, age and level of education could not be determined. However, respondents’ race and household monthly income were important factors in their complaint behaviour. Relatively fewer formal complaints (i.e. complaints to retailers or manufacturers) were made than one would expect, based on the expressed levels of dissatisfaction. A large number of respondents engaged in a variety of “hidden” or indirect complaint activities such as adverse word-of-mouth marketing, boycotting the retailer and switching brands. The majority of the respondents avoided more formal complaint actions such as contacting a consumer protection organisation/department or writing a letter – activities which would require more effort and inconvenience. Irrespective of respondents' taking complaint action or not, they attributed the causes for product failure to the manufacturer, retailer or some outside agent in the situation. However, they seemed undecided about the stability and controllability dimensions for the causes of product failure in terms of their complaint action. Anger was a significant predictor of negative word-of-mouth. Deciding whether to take action or not appeared to be determined by consumers' perception of the severity of the product problem. Researchers can gain valuable insights into the reasons for consumers’ specific complaint behaviour by looking at the coping strategies (in terms of the related behaviours and cognitions) that consumers employ to reduce the stress caused by product failures. This study clearly has practical implications for manufacturers, retailers and policy makers.

Following the changes in environment and demands, many industries out-source some of its value-added activities. With the increases in consumer conscious and technology advances, the after-service for household electric appliances has become a specialized business, as opposed to one of the operating departments in a company in the earlier ages. Due to the increasing competition caused by the entry of new brands, the governance structure has made a tremendous change in recent years particularly in household electric appliances industry. For example, the after-service department, used to be an internal part of the organization, now has been reorganized as an independent business in the sense of self-financed unit or been sub-contracted to companies with corresponding professions. Based on the transaction-cost theory and resource-based perspectives, this research investigates the determinants of after-service governance structure adoption with a focus on household electric appliances industry through interviews with companies under various structures. The results show that the main reasons that lead to the after-service governance structure a given company adopted include the existence of after-service department in a company, the resource and capability of a firm, as well as the ability to control over the opportunism of the out-souring partners. The four dimensions that have significant impacts on the determinants of after-service governance structure adoption developed from the study are composed of economic scales of production, transaction costs, the company’s managerial abilities, and its competitive advantages in the market. Among the four determinants aforementioned and the others, economic scale is the most important factor whereas the degree of impacts from the transaction costs varies with the managerial ability. And the concern comes from that if a company is sensible of the influence of after-service on its competitive advantage in market, along with its emphasis on customer satisfaction also influence the choice of governance structure.

As enterprises experience the electronic revolution and information transparency, the entire business environment undergoes drastic changes, causing the customers’ loyalty to decrease. Hence, besides the usual concerns of the company regarding how to increase the sales of the products, the maintenance and management of relationships should also be given importance, especially since the present competition in the market is the competition between supply chains. This research uses the partnership-competition perspective to study the factors that affect the development of the partnership between home-appliance suppliers and retailers and the related variables. The research also especially focused on information techniques for a more thorough study. The research objectives are: 1. To find out what are the factors that influence the development of household electrical appliances suppliers and retailers and to understand the degree of maturity and influence on the development at its different stages. 2. To suggest several models to explain the roles of the factors throughout the partnership development using other case studies in the business world. The results of this research recognized the credibility of the supply chain, the agreements and stability of the relationship, customers’ participation, long-term benefits, interdependence, storage system, information techniques abilities and organization structure, as the eight factors that suppliers and retailers are concerned about in various degrees that affects the development of the partnership. Case studies also show that different types of entrepreneurs experience different maturity degrees of the factors under different partnership developments. After a crosschecking analysis of the case studies, the research suggested two kinds of models and seven hypotheses, forming the model for household electronic appliances suppliers’ and retailers’ partnership development and goals. These results can help business managers in quickly recognizing which factors need further improvements in viewing the different stages of partnership development in the supply chain. Business managers can also accurately allot suitable resources on the enterprise’s strategies based on the positions and orders of related factors, in order to establish a closer and more effective partnership within the supply chain.
