The application of "cloaking" extends to sensors, solar cells and numerous other uses. The recent prospect of efficient, reliable, and secure quantum communication relies on the ability to coherently and reversibly map nonclassical states of light onto long-lived atomic states. A promising technique that accomplishes this employs Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT), in which a strong classical control field modifies the optical properties of a weak signal field in such a way that a previously opaque medium becomes transparent to the signal field. The paper mainly focuses on the analysis of the three level system and two effects under the radiation with two different frequencies and their applications which are Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) and Coherent Population Trapping (CPT).We would discuss the method of computation and analyze the variation of the property of optic

碩士
國立成功大學
物理學系
102
We report experimental observation of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) that both probe and coupling fields are π-polarized. The probe field will be absorbed strongly based on the Λ-EIT scheme of cold atomic ensemble of 87Rb due to the absence of the coupling field at one of Zeeman state. We use a pumping light to avoid this problem and restore the high transmission property of EIT. In order to observe the relation with the Doppler effect and transmission, we set the angle of the probe and coupling beams for 90 degrees, and infer the temperature of c

The theoretical modeling the transparency of a weak probe laser beam at 780.2 nm (5S1/2→5P3/2) under the interaction with a strong coupling laser beams at 565 nm or 776 nm (5P3/2→9S1/2 or 5P3/2→5D5/2) was obtained by solving the steady state solutions of optical-Bloch equations. This transparency is due to the quantum interference of the atomic wavefunctions under the photon-atom interactions. To carry out t

Under the low-intensity approximation, we study the quantum entanglement between two fields after travelling through a Lambda-type EIT medium, and find that some particular conditions satisfies non-separable criterion. Extending the single-Lambda EIT system to multi-Lambda EIT system, one has more degree freedom to study quantum properties of light. By controlling the relative strengths among coupling fie
