Abstract:

Die Fibromyalgie (FM) ist ein chronisches Schmerzsyndrom und betrifft circa 2% der Allgemeinbevölkerung. Kennzeichnend sind Schmerzen des Bewegungsapparates sowie Müdigkeit, Schlafstörungen und Depressionen. Die FM schränkt Patienten in vielen Lebensbereichen ein und reduziert die Lebensqualität. Hilfe verspricht eine relativ neue Form der Elektrotherapie, die neuroadaptive Elektrostimulation. Doch ihre Wirksamkeit ist bislang kaum untersucht.
