Full textEducational relationships in moroccan schooling is the topic which was studied by this research. More precisely the title of the thesis is "relations aspects of the moroccan academic cursus". This theme is explored through four main research questions. The first research question focus is concerned with curriculum incoherences. The second question analyses repetitive and ritual features of the teaching and educational mechanisms. The third research question tried to elucidate existence of strong resistances to innovative approaches and understanding of educational system. The last research question was aimed to show a persistent "analogical way of thinking" which is not favorable to develop observation skills and ability to distinguish differences. This thesis is divided into two main parts and eight chapters. The first part presents and analyses evolution of educational ideas and values of three main periods : antique, medieval and the period which assisted to a rise and development of human sciences. The second part presents a veriety of case studies. Among themain conclusions of this thesis, it is useful to stress the following : educational practices in use in poroccan educational system appears transmitting conformist values which are in favour of individual opening up. These practices and values could be associated with "heroism" and submission to hierarchy which were highly appreciated in the antique period. Finally, schooling curicula

Full textThis study aims at breaking a new ground which is still untouched in morocco. This work belongs to the analysis framework which is concerned with the writings of Moroccan students at the "lycee"- end of the second cycle. It is nevertheless possible to think that a good description of errors may contribute to the knowledge of what the learners have already acquired and what remains to be learnt at some crucial time in their education. This description may also give access to the linguistic system of Moroccan students, ie. Their transit grammar which may shed light on the difficulties on which they stumble most. And this may help readjust the programs and methods of teaching French in morocco. In this work, we have tried to detect and analyses the French errors which are produced by Moroccan arabising students in their fourth year. We have also studied their discursive competence, in order to complete our analysis. If the French oral code has been deliberately played down, it is, on the one hand, purely methodological, and, on the second hand, because of the importance of the written code for the success at school and later in the professional life of the Moroccan learner

Full textThe aim of this thesis is the study of the social representations of the teaching profession among the primary school teachers and the training teachers in morocco. To achieve this objective, we have initially presented, in the first part, the education policy in morocco at the eve of the protectorate and the from the independence to this day. We have analysed the moroccan education system based on its purposes with regard to the idiologie convictions and the values on which it is founded. We have also studied the role of the teacher and its evolution in line with the relationship existing between the teaching methods and the pupil. In order to produce an exhaustive research work, we have carried out a survey using a sample of 100 primary school teachers and 100 trainees. The elaborated questionnaire focused on both the teachers and the trainees opinion with regards to the teaching profession. Our findings have been analysed and interpreted in the second and the third part of the thesis. The empiric studic carried on two hundred informants revealed the existence of two classes of social representations which are shared by both teachers and student trainees: -a favourable representation which involves a positive point of view and the image of a "prestigious" and "appreciative" profession. -an unfavourable representation which includes a negative point of view towards a profession which is looked down on as "depreciating", "degrading", and which is practiced by "necessity"

Full textA first method using a questionnaire given to a sample of secondary school teachers and students from Casablanca (Morocco) reveals a three-level schematic structure of representations related to sex. The first includes aspects mostly influenced by social change and the second involves aspects which are subject to hesitations and thus become sources of conflict. The last level which is a hard core is made up of aspects resisting to change, i. E. , aspects concerning roles and status of each sex and the relationship between the two. Teachers' and students' self-perceptions and the perceptions and the perceptions of their respective school partners are categorised according to sex. Sex-related perceptions are dependent on socio-cultural variables (social origin, residence, father's occupation for students and social origin of teachers) as well as on sex. A second method using a projective test (t. A. T. ) Confirms a number of these perceptions and reveals responses characteristic of both sexes to the different situations in the test figures. It also shows that the apperception of the classroom situation as well as of teacher-student relationships is closely linked to the sex of the teacher and the student. These perceptions seem to have an influence on students' school achievement. Average grades obtained by students in the sample in achievement tests in arabic,. .

Full textIn this thesis we were concerned with the training of the moroccan technicians in agriculture assuming that the school is no longer the only source of transmission and appropriation of knowledge in agriculture. The students who opted for this training are far from being ignorant before any learning action. They have "pre-conceived ideas" (sorts of information more or less organized) with regard to any disciplinary contribution. These "representations" (the terminology is vast in the literature regarding this subject) play a fundamental role in the knowledge-building processes. They appear obviously and we have encountered theme in a reserach through an example-theme : "germination". Supports or obstacles? "already-there" inhibitors or facilitors of learning process? through this study, our objective was to investigate the possibilites, the conditions and the interest for an eventual recourse to their usage by the trainors. In short, a problematic concerned with the efforts of improving didacties in current disciplines. But also, a problematic that is facing serious difficulties the ignorance of these concepts by teachers who are not tacking a basi c training in pedagogy. This has led us to operate a transfer and undertake this investigation with sufficient precautions. Certainly, we were confronted with numerous interrogations of theoritical and practical order with regard to the epistemology, the collecting and exploitation of these concepts for educational purposes

Full textThe interest taken in this study was to find signals leading to a more accurate idea of the teacher and of the adolescent pupil. To do this, we have laid stress on the way the pupils judge their actual teacher and on their expectations of the ideal teacher. We have taken as great an interest in the way these two levels of the image -actual and ideal- interfere on each other to be then able to evaluate the meaning given to the word teacher by the pupils. The study of the teacher's image among the youth has also allowed us to show the educational relationship - pupil-teacher - actually lived through by the adolescent pupil in a constantly-moving society such as morocco

Full textOur objects is to analyses the YV influence in the acquisition of the French foreign language by the young Moroccan pupils from 10 to 13 through the study of the impact of the animated cartoon. The Moroccan school TV didn't met a favorable echo from the pupils and also from the teachers while the general public TV always continued to monopolize the young people. So it's urgent to think about the means to bring them taking advantage of this tool by helping them to get it under control. From which, it is necessary to take into consideration the animated cartoon which is an important source of motivation for the school work. Our experience has consisted in compare two kinds of restitutions: the first restitution after the pupils saw the film without the sound and the second restitution after they saw the sound film. The result is that the acquisition of new lexemes isn't very easy even if the linguistic message leads to more informations in the second restitution. Beyond the question of comprehension, the problem is about the expression in foreign language. There’s no doubt that the YV and through it the animated cartoon, because of its attraction for the young people, has to be taken in consideration in the foreign languages'acquisition

Full textConsidering greater deperditions and current employability conditions, it becomes necessary to identify psychological, pedagological, sociological and economical factors which moat likely hamper and determine vocational motivations of learners to studies and careers. Our purpose is, on the one hand, to help students know themselves in order to adjust their professional plans to difficulties of social reality. On the other hand, to provide political leaders and all those who are interested in young people's vocational insertion with best insight into the dysfonctining of the counselling system so that they can take necessary changes. Our corpus based on three hundred informants, was collected during 1988-89 in three different schools in fez at three levels of study. Firstly, we have been interested in the seventh form of the Quaraouiyine College. Secondly, in the first formation year of the "institut de technologie appliquee". Full textThis research aims at studying the different aspects of language use at the levels of linguistic and identity repertoires in a multilingual environment; namely high schools in Aït Ourir, Haouz Province, Morocco. The analysis of conversations in the daily usage of languages revealed that Code Switching is a common practice among teachers as well as pupils; and that the weight of each language used depends more on its usefulness to the purpose of speaking. At the identity level, multilingual identity is dominant and the weight of each language is dependent up on the linguistic biography of the person surveyed. Thus, the relationship between the linguistic and identity repertoires is disproportionate. Indeed, synchronically comparing the languages in study confirmed that they don’t have the same weight at the two levels. The monolingual turn-taking is dominating whereas the monolingual identity is weak. On the other hand, the mixed turn-taking is meaningless whilst multilingual identity is significant. Moreover, the diachronic comparison enabled us to deduce that the change is ongoing in practice while it seems steady from adolescence to adulthood which shows that identifying in a language doesn’t depend on its practice

Full textThe aim of this thesis is to verify the impact of the degree of conformism on the victimization and perception of the school climate among secondary school students in Morocco. This verification is based on four variables: the age, the gender, the social class and the self-reported degree of conformity as measured by the level of practice and religious commitment. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the presentation of the study area (the Souss-Massa region in Morocco), the key concepts, including school violence and climate, the explanatory model based on the degree of conformity, and the methodological choice. In the second part, the analysis of the data and the results are presented. The field survey is the subject of a double methodology with, on the one hand, a questionnaire devoted to the adolescent experience and to the perception of the various components of the school climate. On the other hand, semi-structured interviews intended to supplement the data extracted from the questionnaire survey are presented. A final discussion makes it possible to return to the hypotheses, to take a critical look at the investigations carried out, and to open up possible avenues for research

Full textHow do students read or don't read french literature in france and in morocco ? how could we answer that question ? it's the main idea of that study. Every writing implies a contract through " an enouncement " which is the literary " playing ". For us, we had to test, with the students' writing, the receotivity of the " playing ", and to identify all the mecanisms which develop it. What kind of signs have the students taken in front of the differents literary writing ? what kind of referring do they use ?

Full textFrom december 1942 to june 1945, the most prominent school for warrant officers in the french army operated in the small town of Cherchell (Algeria). Five classes - more than five thousand young men coming from all social and geographical horizons of the French Empire - recieved crash instruction, meant to turn them into warrant officers (officer cadets and first lieutenants) fit to be used in combat. These men played an essential role in the reconstruction of the french army after november 8th 1942. For twenty years, they fought on all the theatres of war, from Italy to Algeria, and they occupied the highest functions in the military hierarchy. Those who opted for a civilian carrer after 1945 also reached the highest positions in their chosen fields. Some became ministers, others ambassadors, others again recieved Nobel prizes. Despite the importance of its heritage, the École des élèves-aspirants has never been the object of a historical study, unlike institutions of lesser importance, such as the École des cadets de la France libre. It was therefore deemed proper to give a comprehensive picture of it (location, catchment area, staff, instruction and logistics. . . ) and to illustrate its specificity

Full textThis research is part of a comprehensive sociology of the school in the rural Moroccan setting. Its object is to examine the relationship between school and family and its impact upon schooling and non-schooling. To accomplish this, the present study attempts to examine educational policy in rural Morocco and the points of view of the local players arising from their own subjective experiences. It thus seeks to know “from within” how the rural school in the Haouz of Marrakech functions. Results show that the problems of communication which exist between the school players and the society around them are the source of divergent scholastic and social logic, given the strangeness of the school system and issues related to its being established as an institution. Instability and lack of motivation on the part of instructors combine with the absence of a school culture to produce very specific phenomena of schooling vs non-schooling
