Full textTeachers‘ and parent‘s concern about the educating of behaviourally and emotionally disordered children is remarkably increasing.These children face with socializing and learning problems,cause difficulties in bringing them up and make trouble for other people.Work with the sort of these children demands more psychological stress,efforts,creativity and organizational skills from the teacher. The problem of the research - there is no theoretically based model of educating behaviourally and emotionally disordered children in primary school.Primary school teachers are not competent enough to identify this kind of disorder, recognize the problems these children face with and consiquently are not able to use appropriate methods (correct ways of solving these problems) of educating this group of children. Full textThere are just a few studies about early childhood psychopathology in Lithuania. And there are few studies about children with a hearing disorder. The hearing disorder is “invisible” disability, and has very big influence for children’s personality and social development. The hearing disorders have influence for children’s development and behavior peculiarity. Previously in Lithuania in a special literature were produce just about negative behavior and emotional temper characteristics of children with hearing disorders. But now there noticed tendencies that children with behavior and emotions can be in normal level if these children will get tenderness and love. We have to pay attention to deaf people groups, living condition and surrounding for to bring under reasonably and properly. The children with hearing disorders development can have positive and negative side. In what condition children are living? Children with hearing disorders can have a lot of difficulties during development. The aim for these children normal development is to find out difficulties which these children can experience. Full textUnder the new Republic of Lithuania, Minister of Education and Science, 2011 July 13 decree on pupils with special educational needs in determining the types and distribution of special educational needs in the levels of Procedure for Approval of the treatment and / or emotional disorders are defined as a heterogeneous group of disorders that occur in behavior and / or emotional reactions, significantly different from the usual age, cultural and ethical norms, expressed in terms of inattention, impulsivity and / or poor regulation of behavior. The scientific literature indicates that children's behavioral problems considered social nonconformity, which manifests itself as an aggressive, antisocial behavior. Pedagogical literature emphasizes that emotional and behavioral disorders are phenomenon, common and mainstream in schools. Pupils with emotional and behavioral disorders often experience difficulties in communicating with their peers, because these children are lack social skills, failure to make friends, to maintain friendly relations, to establish a conversation, to avoid conflict situations. Student’s management system helps and ensures smooth operation during the lessons in schools and classes. Students develop rules are creating at the institution level, classroom behavior rules - of classroom level. They provide discipline and positive behavior measures that help teachers work with students.

Full textThe main problem of the work is slow integration of children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions. According to nonfiction, theoretical literature and the data of the research models for work with children, who has derangements in their behaviour and emotions were formulated. These models would help the children to socialize and make the education process more attractive. The special class for the children who has derangements in their behaviour and emotions was established in 2006/2007 school year in Vilnius at Seskines primary school. This class is the first in Lithuania. This class and work there initiated to go deeper into the problem and discover the decision. On purpose to explore the possibilities how to improve the planning and management of the education process integrating the children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions, scientific and theoretical basics of the problem are analysed. The opinion of teachers, headmasters, children and parents about the children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions learning at school in special class is being found out in this work.

Research aim: to analyze educational peculiarities of the adolescents having behavioural and emotional disorders/difficulties. Full textTopicality of the problem: At the primary – school age (I – IV forms) new important formatives of a childs mentality start farming. They are basic for developing such important qualities as self – observation, ability to analyze ones actions and others that help to maintain volitional attention. However a new generation has recently become an urgent problem because there are a lot of children with behavioral and emotional disorders and that has negative influence on the further development of mentality. After surveying the publications of scientific studies in Lithuania it can be stated that there are no studies in which emotional and behavioral problems would be analyzed using objective standardized methods. The data is usually collected using questionnaire method the investigators themselves. At present BASC – 2 methodic (Behavior Assessment System for Children, Reynolds and Kamhaus, 2004, 2005), which makes it possible to establish peculiarities of models (positive and clinical) of childrens emotions, feelings and behavior is being widely used in foreign countries for estimation emotional and behavioral disorders. Teachers and parents often don’t know how to behave and solve these problems. It is obviously that such children could be neglected. The main aim of the study to assess children with learning disabilities and school problems. Goals of my study: 1) To assess behavioural and emotional problems of children with learning disabilities: disruptive behavior, attention and impulse control problems, emotional problems, social withdrawal, ability deficits, physical deficits, weak self-confidence;.2) To assess provocative influence defeat and stabilization evaluative anxiety of children with learning disabilities; 3) Relate link evaluative anxiety and behaviour and emotional problems of children with learning disabilities. The Participants.There were schoolchildren with learning disabilities from Alytus schools.They were 13-15 years old.There were 40 scholchildren (14 girls and 25 boys). Burks Behavior Rating Scales (BBRS-2) and D.H.Rost and F.J.Schermer DBA were used to assess children school problems. The facts suggest that children with learning disabilities have more sociability , problems, bad contact with reality and ability deficits. Children with learning disabilities have physicsl deficits.

Įrodymais grįstos mokytojo veiklos veiksmingumas analizuojamas dviem kriterijais: mokytojo mokymasis veikiant bei emocijų ir elgesio sutrikimų turinčio mokinio pozityvaus elgesio palaikymas. Atlikus kokybinį tyrimą, apibūdinamos mokytojų veiklos ir patirtys, apibrėžiami mokytojų vykdomų veiklų, konstruojamų sąveikų su emocijų ir elgesio sutrikimų turinčiu mokiniu tipai. Vykdyti veiklos tyrimai dalyvaujant, siekiant giliau pažinti emocijų ir elgesio sutrikimų turinčio mokinio ugdymo proceso realybę bei ją keisti, skatinant įrodymais grįstas mokytojų veiklas bei emocijų ir elgesio sutrikimų turinčio mokinio pozityvaus elgesio palaikymą. Full textThe theme analysed in this research is urgent and, in fact, it is useful and not very often investigated: there live about 16 thousand children of special needs in Lithuania, who learn in special schools; special training of children having confused intellect of emotions and behaviour raises much confusion and is not entirely clear; there is little literature about the emotional difficulties and difficulties of behaviour of children having confused intellect, how to help to overcome these difficulties for such children to and to get socialized in the society. The help, advices and suggestions are needed for parents having children with confused intellect and also for the teachers working with such children. The objective is raised in the research: to investigate the emotional difficulties and difficulties of behaviour of children having confused intellect, 89 children having confused intellect of Kaunas special school participated in the research. Full textThe Dissertation analyses infants’ emotional and behavioral problems at the age of 1.5 years and their predictive biomedical and psychosocial factors. The Dissertation is based on data from prospective birth-cohort study. Study participants were infants born in the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS) Kauno Klinikos from May to September in 2009. The analysis included the data from three stages of the study: (1) biomedical data during and after childbirth and a questionnaire survey given to mothers 2 to 3 days after childbirth in hospital, (2) questionnaire survey of mothers three months postpartum, and (3) questionnaire survey of mothers 1.5 years postpartum. Emotional and behavioral problems were more expressed in infants born via caesarean section and whose physiological functioning after birth was not optimal. Study also revealed the importance of such psychosocial predictors of emotional and behavioral problems as complicated emotional acceptance of pregnancy, poor couple’s relationship during pregnancy, frequent negative maternal emotions, maternal postpartum attachment characterized by high anxiety regar¬ding child, and inflexible and parent-oriented attitudes toward infant-rearing. The associations between biomedical and psychosocial factors are also analyzed and discussed.

Full textTOPIC: Effectiveness of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Children with Emotional and Conduct Problems GOAL: to evaluate effectiveness of Dialectical behavioral therapy in the sample of 8th – 11th year old children with emotion and conduct problems. PARTICIPANTS: 54 children characterized as having emotional and conduct problems, prone to break rules or offend. 59 percent of the sample are boys, 41 percent are girls. Mean of age in the sample 9,6±0,2. MEASURES: ASEBA Teacher rating form. RESULTS: Dialectical behavioral therapy program was successful in reducing conduct problems in the sample of 9th to 11th year old children. Effect size was larger for conduct problems compared to emotional problems. Age and gender of the children influenced the effectiveness of the program.

Full textObjective – explore and analyze the relationship between emotion awareness, emotion management and psychological and social problems of adolescents. Participants - 212 adolescents (98 male and 114 female, 96 – countryside, 116 – city), 14 - 17 years old. Measurement – Youth Self-Report (YSR 11/18), Emotion Awareness Questionnaire (EAQ-30,) and Juvenile Emotion Management Scale (JEMS). Results: The relationship between emotion awareness, emotion management and emotional problems of adolescents: anxiety, depression and somatic complaints are related to worse differentiating emotions skills, verbal sharing of emotions, and bodily awareness skills; worse not hiding emotions skills are related to higher rates on anxiety, depression and withdrawal; better attending to others’ emotions skills have a statistically significant relationship with somatic complaints, o better analysis of emotion skills – with withdrawal; anxiety, depression is related to worse less appropriate feelings to a given social setting skills, acknowledge an inappropriate feelings and worse acting helpfully to others; worse acknowledge an inappropriate feelings is relates to more somatic complaints. Full textThe paper deals with theoretical analysis of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties and opportunities of art therapy in developing communication skills. The purpose of investigation was to find out whether art therapy has a positive effect on the development of communication skills of preschool children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Quasi-experimental method was used to investigate art therapy effect. The mathematical descriptive analysis of the data was presented using the case study method. The study included 9 preschool children with behavioral and emotional difficulties, target group was selected using convenient way. In empirical part were analyzed data, about resolution skills and dynamics of the art therapy in sessions. By the help of diagnostic drawing tests attributes of communication skills were analyzed and captured in monitoring protocols. After the data analysis, the most important empirical conclusions that were drawn are: 1. Performed experiment revealed positive effect of art therapy on the development of social and communication skills. 2. Monitoring protocols showed a tendency to unfold the expression of positive communication 3. H-T-P drawing test results revealed positive direction. Low self-esteem, aggression, depressive symptoms, affecting the low need for communication or expression of negative communication decreased after experiment.

Full textResearch show that eating disorders are associated with less adaptive coping strategies and more emotion regulation impairments. Research studies and clinical practice show that eating disorderd females aften are victims of childhood sexual abuse. The main purpose of this study is to investigate peculiarities of stress coping strategies and emotion regulation in relation to childhood sexual abuse experience. 24 (or 39,34 %) eating disordered females reported a history of sexual abuse before age 18. The other two groups consisted of 27 eating disordered women who did not report a history of sexual abuse and 48 students. Beck Depression Inventory and State – Trait Anxiety Inventory were used for evaluation of distress level, Lithuanian Four-Factor Coping with Stress Questionnaire, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and two scales from the Eating Disorders Inventory were used for evaluation of emotion regulation and stress coping peculiarities. Compared with subjects who did not report a history of childhood sexual abuse, females with a history of sexual abuse are less seeking social support in stressfull situations, but don‘t differ in comparison with other coping strategies. Eating disordered females with a history of sexual abuse exhibited lower emotional awareness and more emotion dysregulation: proness to anger outbursts, mood instability. Full textThere are a lot of researches, which confirm a link between goal orientations and academic achievements, learning motivation, behavioral and emotional problems and school environment. Still, there is not a lot of information on the link between goal orientations and intellectual abilities of adolescents as well as with their self-esteem. Also, there is not enough information about the factors that may influence goal orientations. One of the aims of this research was to estimate the intellectual abilities, academic achievements, behavioral and emotional problems, self-esteem and school environment of the adolescents, living in foster home. Also, to clear up, what are the main factors, that may influence the goal orientations of adolescents, living in foster home. Adolescents, living in foster home (n = 34) took part in this research. The goal orientations were assessed by means of questionnaire, in which there were mastery goal orientation scale (α = 0, 62) and task performance goal orientation scale (α = 0, 67). Adolescents were also evaluated by their educators, foster home’s social workers (either psychologists or housefathers), using the Inventory of children behavioral problem’s. Intellectual abilities were assessed by performing WISC-III intellect test. Also, the adolescents completed the questionnaire of self-esteem (α = 0,89) and the questionnaire of school environment (α = 0,74).
