Abstract:
Emergency management is crucial to finding effective ways to minimize or even eliminate the damage of emergent events, but there still exists no quantified method to study the events by computation. Statistical algorithms, such as susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR) models on epidemic transmission, ignore many details, thus always influencing the spread of emergent events. In this paper, we first propose an agent-based modeling and experiment framework to model the real world with the emergent events. We present novel two-stage dynamic scheduling of earth observation satellites to provide emergency response by making full use of the duration of the imaging task execution. In the second stage, when certain emergent events do occur, a dynamic adjusting heuristic algorithm (CTM-DAHA) is applied to arrange new tasks into the robust imaging schedule. Abstract:
Receptor signalling events including those initiated following activation of cytokine and growth factor receptors and the well-characterised death receptors (tumour necrosis factor receptor, type 1, FasR and TRAIL-R1/2) are initiated at the cell surface through the recruitment and formation of intracellular multiprotein signalling complexes that activate divergent signalling pathways. Over the past decade, research studies reveal that many of these receptor-initiated signalling events involve the sequential proteolysis of specific receptors by membrane-bound proteases and the γ-secretase prote

Abstract:
The main aim of this research is to identify the differences between a deliberate security strategy and an emergent one. The objective of the study is to demonstrate these differences 112using the case of an energy security strategy, to determine the main reasons for deviations and to formulate a methodological apparatus for assessing strategic documents. To explore an emergent energy security strategy (as a set of actions by decision makers), the authors suggest to make the analysis the events mentioned in the media (press events) and the amendments to legislation (real actions of decision ma

Abstract:
How to assist decision making efficiently using information technologies such as GIS and water environment models has become a hot issue in the field of emergency study. Starting from the actual need of water pollution accident emergency handling, this paper uses scenario analysis, organically couples GIS, water environment accident models and decision making methods, and establishes an intelligent decision making system for emergent water pollution events. Then, with the actual data from Beijiang River cadmium pollution event entered into this system, it analyses and compares the change of po
