Abstract:
The thesis deals with the subject of emotional reactions to music. The research so far has been based mainly on analyses that utilized the dimensional affective model. At the same time, an increase in the use of the musical emotions model has been observed as the most suitable for this type of reactions. The emerging inaccuracy in the definitions of emotions causes the lack of unambiguous answers about the nature of emotional reactions to music. The aim of the work was to verify the theoretical model in which the emotional reactions to music were based on affect described on two dimensions of arousal and valence. According to the model, the induction of more detailed reactions in the form of modal emotions or musical emotions is mediated by the cognitive appraisal originating from non-musical associations. Verification of the model was performed by conducting three studies that responded to research questions. In all three studies, five affectively different music pieces were used. In addition, in the first experiment affective words and in the third experiment affective images were used. In the second study and the third experiment, which were carried out both in the laboratory and online, emotional reactions to music were measured using three scales: modal emotions, musical emotions and dimensions of affect. The first experiment verified the hypotheses regarding the induction of unconscious affect congruent with the affective characterization of the stimulus. To this end, a lexical decision task was used. The second study verified whether emotional reactions to music could be reduced to a smaller number of dimensions that would correspond to existing models of affect. For this purpose, a study was conducted using three methods of measuring emotional reactions to music (modal emotions, musical emotions and dimensions of affect.) In the same study, the verified hypotheses regarded dominance of musical emotions preference in the description of subjective emotional reactions to specific music and the dependence of this preference on the type of listened music. Therefore, the respondents, after answering three types of scales of emotional reactions chose the most preferred form of responses at a given moment. The third experiment verified the hypothesis that subjectively perceived emotional reactions to music could be modified by cognitive associations. In the first experiment, the music's valence effect was partly obtained for the results from part two of the experiment, but the effect of music’s arousal did not appear in any part of the experiment. Thus, there was no positive answer to the question whether music causes changes in the affect on both its dimensions. In the second study, musical emotions were chosen more often as the preferred form of determining subjective emotional reactions to music in one of the samples. This effect was characteristic not for all types of music pieces. The choice of a particular way of describing emotional reactions depends on the type of listened music. The second study also provided preliminary confirmation of the assumption that emotional reactions to music have their base in the affect, because the conducted factor analysis and cluster analysis showed a structure similar to affective models. However, emotional reactions related to the aesthetic experience of music elude these divisions, making it difficult to reduce these reactions to existing two- or three-dimensional models of affect. In the third experiment the possibility of modifying the emotional response to music through the manipulation of cognitive associations was confirmed. However, the obtained effect was distinct, and some of the images used did not allow for effective modification of these reactions. The results, however, allow to state that the manipulation of emotions with associations is more effective by using music with rich affective characteristics, that is not explicit in emotional expression, or with a calm, relaxing affective character than by using music that have a highly unambiguous emotional character. The results of the three studies do not allow for explicit rejection or confirmation of the verified theoretical model, which prompts further its analysis using modified experimental procedures or completely new research solutions. The obtained results of the second study indicate the importance of the type of methods used by researchers to determine subjective emotional reactions to music. Regardless of their popularity in music psychology research, musical emotions are not always the most preferred method. In turn, the results of the third experiment suggest that emotional reactions to music to a limited extent, can be modified, which finds application in the area of advertising, film as well as music therapy.

This work deals with the relation of emotions to contemporary experimental animation. It engages in the emotional experience of a viewer to non-narrative film storytelling and its means of expression. At the same time, it examines what the creative processes and attitudes of filmmakers towards emotions in experimental animation are. Analysis of the questionnaires also reveals whether the creator counts on the viewer's specific interpretation of the film.

Abstract:

Ova disertacija se bavi telesnim, individualnim i društvenim dimenzijama emocija u cilju razvoja integrisane sociološke teorije (emocija). U uvodnom poglavlju je data podrobna analiza određenja emocija kroz istoriju i u istoriji filozofije, kako bi se analiza njihovog naučnog istraživanja ukorenila u prikladni socioistorijski i epistemološki kontekst. Ovo poglavlje odlikuje i pojmovna analiza, odnosno izlaganje različitih definicija emocija u naukama, kao i razgraničenje između pojmova emocija, osećanja, afekata, raspoloženja, osećaja i emocionalnosti.
Drugo poglavlje posvećeno je analizi telesnih dimenzija emocija i emocionalnosti. Ono obuhvata evolucione osnove emocija, pre svega putem analize izražavanja i evolucije emocija kod čoveka i ne-ljudskih životinja. U ovom poglavlju predstavljene su i neurofiziološke determinante emocija, uz lociranje emocionalnog iskustva u ljudskoj neuroanatomiji i neurohemiji. Zatim je analiziran teorijski program afektivne neuronauke kao korak ka integraciji saznanja iz neuronauka, evolucione biologije i (kognitivne) psihologije.
Naredno poglavlje obuhvata analizu individualnog iskustva emocija, odnosno osećanja individue, fokusirajući se na teoretisanje o elementima i sekvencama navedenog iskustva. Analiziran je međuodnos emocija i individualnog ponašanja, uključujući tu i psihofiziološku i psihoneurološku tradiciju, kao i psihodinamičke, bihevioralne, razvojne i motivacione aspekte osećajnosti. Drugi deo poglavlja čini analiza veze između emocija i spoznaje, odnosno kognitivnih dimenzija osećajnosti. Kao integrativni poduhvat u okviru izučavanja individualnih dimenzija emocija analizirane su psihoevoluciona tradicija i evoluciona psihologija (emocija) kao modeli za integraciju saznanja iz evolucione biologije i psihologije emocija.
Zatim se predstavljaju i problematizuju međuodnos (izučavanja) emocija i društva, odnosno društvene dimenzije emocija. Na prvom mestu prikazano je ambivalentno mesto (i implicitno prisustvo) koje su emocije i ljudska emocionalnost imali u klasičnim sociološkim teorijama, kao teorijskoj osnovi za potonje razmatranje veze emocija i društva. Predstavljeni su i razvoj, institucionalizacija i debate u samoj sociologiji emocija kao zasebnoj sociološkoj disciplini, uz poseban naglasak na metateoriji ove sociološke discipline. Na kraju je, kao korak ka integrisanoj sociološkoj teoriji, analiziran program neurosociologije (emocija), kao specifične integracije sociologije i neuronauka.
Peto poglavlje bavi se fenomenom i relevantnošću sociologije emocija po sociološku teoriju, odnosno istraživanjem emocija u sociologiji kao modelom za rekonstrukciju sociološke teorije na adekvatnijim epistemološkim osnovama. Da bi se ovo postiglo, polje emocija prikazuje se u kontekstu nekoliko fundamentalnih koncepata klasične sociologije, odnosno sociološke teorije: društvene moći (i klase i statusa), rituala, identiteta i kulture. Naime, uz analizu klasičnih socioloških teorija ovih fenomena, ponuđeni su modeli njihove (re)konceptualizacije u svetlu saznanja sociologije emocija, ali i drugih disciplina koje izučavaju emocije.
U šestom i zaključnom poglavlju detaljno se pristupa problemu nivoa ili jedinice analize u sociologiji, kao i problemu odnosa sociologije prema drugim naukama o životu (a samim tim i problemu naučnog karaktera sociologije), te načinima za njihovo rešavanje upotrebom saznanja, koncepata i modela sociologije emocija. Posebnu ulogu u tom zadatku imaju konkretni aspekti pojedinih teorija emocija koje su predstavljene kao egzemplari integrisanih teorija u metateorijskom, odnosno epistemološkom smislu.
U skladu sa tim, u zaključku je data i procena ranije predstavljenih teorija sa integrišućim ambicijama, poput afektivne neuronauke, psihoevolucione teorije, neurosociologije i drugih. Na osnovu saznanja i zaključaka izvedenih iz prethodnih poglavlja disertacije, analiziraju se i razvijaju modeli mikro–makro i biopsihosocijalne integrisane teorije ljudskih emocija, i nude sugestije za razvoj integrisane teorije ljudske socijalnosti (i/ili ljudskog društva). Dakle, telesne, individualne i društvene dimenzije emocija i determinante emocionalnosti se koriste i predstavljaju u svetlu dokaza za mogućnost prevazilaženja metodoloških, metateorijskih i epistemoloških problema sociološke teorije.

Abstract:
In my diploma thesis I will explore the body language of actors in detail and describe my own practical experience. Most of my experiences come from performance training, which I have gained whilst attending The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). In the first part I describe physical movement in the early days of theater. Then I focus on analysing the concepts of nonverbal communication and its usage on the stage. I explore various different performance spaces and analyze their influence on the subsequent differences in physical acting-expressionism. The aim of my thesis is to explain how we can use our bodies during the process of preparing for performance and what can affect it. The benefit of this approach is the subsequent self-reflection, which forced me to deeply develop the basic techniques of physical communication. To be specific, the physical movements which lead to the transmission of emotion, feelings and information to the viewer.

Magistro baigiamajame darbe išnagrinėtas automatinio šnekos emocijų atpažinimo uždavinys. Nors pastaruoju metu šios srities populiarumas yra smarkiai išaugęs, tačiau vis dar trūksta literatūros aprašančios konkrečių požymių ar požymių rinkinių efektyvumą kalbos emocijoms atpažinti. Ši problema suformavo magistro baigiamojo darbo tikslą – ištirti akustinių požymių taikymą šnekos emocijoms atpažinti. Darbo metu buvo atlikta požymių sistemų analizė, sukurta emocijų požymių sistemų (rinkinių) testavimo sistema, kuria atliktas požymių rinkinių tyrimas. Tyrimo metu gauti rezultatai yra labai panašūs arba šiek tiek lenkia pastaruoju metu paskelbtus emocijų atpažinimo rezultatus naudojant Berlyno emocingos kalbos duomenų bazę. This Master's thesis has examined the automatic speech emotion recognition task. Recently, the popularity of this area is greatly increased, but there is still a lack of literature describing specific acoustic features (or feature sets) performance in automatic emotion recognition task. This issue formed the purpose of this work - to explore suitable acoustic feature sets for emotion recognition task. This work includes analysis of emotion feature systems and development of speech emotion characteristics testing system. Using developed system, investigation experiments of speech emotion parameters were accomplished. The study results are very similar, or slightly ahead to recently published results of emotion recognition using the Berlin emotional speech database. According to the results of the experiments, recommendations for creating effective speech emotion feature sets were concluded. Master's degree thesis in informatics engineering. Eggplant Emoji is a documentary film that reveals a range of feminist perspectives on dick pics, sexting and online sexual harassment. Through intimate and hilarious interviews with women between the ages of 22 and 35, the film harnesses a collective voice that speaks back to the large and small ways patriarchy wields power in modern spaces, especially through sending unsolicited dick pics. By intertwining the testimonies of a dynamic group of female storytellers sitting amongst their close friends, the film provides candid and diverse commentary on this unique moment we are in, where the lines between private and public, online and offline are increasingly blurred. Until there are greater consequences, whether legal, social or otherwise, for men disrespecting women's choices and personal space, the domain of sexting is in a self-policing state and women are left to expend emotional labor to let men know why what they sent is unwanted or violating. Ultimately, the subjects' testimonials coalesce to provide suggestions for respectful, consensual sexting practices and fill in the gaps where sex education often neglects the importance of consent and communication altogether.

Emocijų atpažinimas, tiriant žmogaus fiziologinius parametrus, yra labai aktualus šiuolaikinės informatikos mokslo uždavinys. Šio darbo siekis yra suprojektuoti emocijų atpažinimo sistemos prototipą, kurį su minimaliais kaštais galima būtų pritaikyti įvairiose emocijomis grindžiamose sistemose. Pateikiamas tokios sistemos koncepcinis modelis, susidedantis iš aparatūrinės įrangos ir programinio modelių. Fiziologinių signalų stiprinimui naudojami AD620 ir OP97 operaciniai stiprintuvai. Analoginio signalo keitimas ir perdavimas į kompiuterį atliekamas naudojant Atmega16 mikrovaldiklį. Schemų testavimui naudojamas kompiuterinis oscilografas (PCS500). Atliekamas skaitmeninio signalo filtravimo metodų tyrimas. Pristatomi fiziologinių parametrų fiksavimo metodų (EKG, SC) atpažinimo algoritmai, pagrįsti SVW algoritmu. Atliekama HRV spektrinė analizė į dažninę sritį, naudojant Furjė transformacijas. Pateikiama praplėsta neraiškioji valdymo sistema, kuri iš fiziologinių parametrų (HR, HRVL, HRVH, SCR, STpirštas, STgalva) išveda susijaudinimo–valentingumo laipsnius. Pagal šiuos laipsnius išvedamos emocijos. Aptariami sukurtų algoritmų, realizuojant juos realioje aplinkoje, nauji elgsenos charakteristikų ypatumai.
Very important task of modern computer science is emotion recognition by human physiological parameters. The purpose of this work is to design a prototype of emotion recognition system, which could be possible customize in various emotions systems with minimal costs. There is representing such system conceptual model, which consists from them realization hardware and programme models. For amplifying the physiological signals is using instrumental AD620 and high precision OP97 operations amplifiers. Analogical signal converting to digital and transmitting to the computer redundant by Atmega16 microcontroller. For electrical schemas testing is using oscillograph (PCS500) connected on the computer. It is redundant analysis for digital signal filtering methods. There is presenting the recognition algorithms, based on SVW algorithm, for physiological parameters fixing methods (ECG, SC). For HRV spectral analyze in frequency domain it is using Furies transformations. There is extended fuzzy control system, which deduces arousal–valence levels from physiological parameters (HR, HRVL, HRVH, SCR, STfinger, SThead). By theses levels is deduces emotions. The new characteristical singularities of designed algorithms in real environment are also discussed.

Baigiamojo darbo tikslas – nustačius tiesioginių emocijų daromą poveikį televizinės reklamos veiksmingumui, pasiūlyti, kaip jas būtų galima panaudoti didinant televizinės reklamos veiksmingumą. Teorinėje darbo dalyje analizuojami moksliniai šaltiniai ir empiriniai tyrimai, susiję su emocijų poveikiu reklamos suvokimui, veiksmingumui ir efektyvumui, taip pat tiesioginių emocijų, tai yra su pačia reklama nesusijusių, poveikis pastariesiems veiksniams. Analitinėje baigiamojo darbo dalyje pateikiami ir analizuojami eksperimentinio tyrimo rezultatai, atlikto dirbtinai iššaukiant eksperimentines tiesiogines atsitiktines ir integruotąsias emocijas prieš žiūrint televizijos reklaminį intarpą ir tyrimo rezultatus lyginant su kontrolinės grupės rezultatais. Projektinėje darbo dalyje suformuluoti sprendimai, pritaikomi reklamos užsakovams ir transliuotojams. Pasiūlymai apima: • Skirtingo tiesioginių emocijų poveikio panaudojimą skirtingiems reklamos tikslams pasiekti, • Reklamos klipo demonstravimo laiko pasirinkimo planavimą, • Tiesioginių emocijų tyrimo sukūrimą ir kainą Lietuvoje.
The objective of diploma paper – to find the effect of immediate emotions on the efficiency of television advertisement; and to suggest how they could be employed to increase the efficiency. In the theory part of the diploma paper – the analysis of the scholar papers and academic researches is conducted, regarding the impact of emotions on advertisement understanding, efficiency and effectiveness and also the immediate emotions, which are unconnected to advertising, but still effecting its understanding. In the analytic part of the diploma paper the data of experimental research results is presented and analyzed. The research was conducted by artificially summoning the immediate accidental and integrated emotions before watching the television advertising and comparing the results with control group results. In the project part the solutions for the advertising customers and broadcasters are made. The solutions cover: • The different effects of the immediate emotions using for different goals of advertisement, • The planing of the time of advertisement placement in television program, • The creation of immediate emotions research and cost in Lithuania.

Abstract:
Populiariojoje literatūroje daug faktų apie spalvų sukeliamas asociacijas, emocijas ar įvairų poveikį. Esami tyrimai pateikia duomenis, kad iš tiesų egzistuoja spalvų ir emocijų ryšys, kuris gali būti nulemtas įvairių asociacijų. Tačiau šių tyrimų rezultatai neretai prieštaringi. Be to, trūksta informacijos apie konkrečias spalvų sukeliamas asociacijas. Todėl atliktas tyrimas, kurio tikslas – ištirti, kokias asociacijas ir emocijas sukelia spalvos. Anketine apklausa bei eksperimentu buvo surinkti duomenys apie konkrečias spalvų asociacijas, jų universalumą. Taip pat gauta informacijos apie spalvų savybes, tinkamumą apibūdinti asmenį bei mėgiamiausias ir nemėgiamiausias spalvas. Rezultatai parodė, kad vieni žodžiai su skirtingomis spalvomis siejami dažniau nei kiti. Be to, skirtingos spalvos daugeliu atvejų kėlė skirtingas asociacijas. Šios asociacijos buvo universalios tarp tiriamųjų, o kartais ir labai ryškios. Kai kurios asociacijos turėjo emocinį atspalvį. Taip pat nustatyta, jog skirtingoms spalvoms būdingos skirtingos savybės. Jos spalvoms priskiriamos dėl nevienodų priežasčių. Paaiškėjo, kad žalia spalva buvo vertinama, kaip teigiamiausia, o pilka kaip neigiamiausia. Žalia laikyta ir mėgiamiausia, o pilka – nemėgiamiausia spalva. Be to, rezultatai parodė, kad spalvos gali būti naudojamos žmonių apibūdinimui. Palygintos ne tik atskiros spalvos, bet ir jų grupės. There are a lot of facts in the everyday literature about associations, emotions and various effects evoked by colour. Current research reveals data, that there is a connection between colour and emotion. It can be determined by various associations. However, the results of these investigations are often contradictory. Moreover, there is not enough information about specific associations evoked by colour. Therefore a research has been made. Its goal was to explore what kind of associations and emotions are evoked by colour. A questionnaire and experiment was used in order to gather data about specific colour associations and their generality. Information about features of colour, suitability to describe a person, most and least favorite colour was also collected. The results revealed that particular words are more often than other words related to different colours. Furthermore, different colours evoked different associations. These associations were universal among subjects and sometimes very distinct. Some associations had an emotional tinge. It was also discovered, that different colours had different features, which are attributed because of different reasons. Moreover, green was judged as most positive and grey – as most negative. Comparatively, green was also most liked and grey – least liked colour. It also appeared that colours can be used for person description. Abstract:
This thesis is focused on EEG processing and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotion space. First part consists of theoretical research about emotional responses of human subjects on sound, image and video stimuli. Emotions are examined from aspect of physiology and psychology. Furthermore technical overview of measurement, analysis and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotional space is discussed. Based on gathered knowledge measurement setup with audiovisual stimuli was designed and measured with two independent instruments – EGI GES400MR in laboratory conditions and Emotiv EPOC device in non-laboratory conditions. Signals were processed and emotions were classified based on chosen features. Performance of classifiers in multiple feature selection setups was evaluated.

Dauguma reklamos kompanijų, neformuoja vartotojų suvokime jokių išskirtinių savybių reklamuojant prekes bei paslaugas. Emocionalus prekės ženklo identifikavimas charakterizuojamas nauju požiūriu į prekės ženklo identifikavimo kūrimą – prekės ženklo identifikavimas pasireiškia per emocijas, remdamasis prekės ženklo identifikavimo vertybių manipuliacijomis ir ypatingų vertybių kūrimu, kas labai išskiria prekės ženklo identifikavimą nuo konkurentų. Darbo objektas – emocinis prekės ženklo vertingumas. Darbo tikslas. Išsiaiškinti kaip pasireiškia vartotojo emocijos formuojant prekės ženklo vertingumą. SUMMARY Today traditional marketing is not so effective like it was before. Very often, the output of new products on the market finishes disappointment. The most of advertising campaigns are not formatting any exceptional characteristics of the advertised goods and services in perception of consumers. Emotional brand equity is characterized by new attitude of brand development - the brand works through the emotions, based on a brand manipulation by values and creation of special values, sharply separating a brand from competitors. Tyrime nagrinėjama tema aktuali, praktiškai naudinga ir mažai tyrinėta: Lietuvoje gyvena arti 16 tūkst. vaikų, turinčių specialiųjų poreikių, besimokančių specialiose mokyklose; sutrikusio intelekto vaikų specialusis ugdymas kelia daug sumaišties ir nėra aiškus; literatūros apie sutrikusio intelekto vaikų emocinius ir elgesio sunkumus, kaip juos padėti įveikti ir tuo pačiu padėti tokiems vaikams geriau socializuotis visuomenėje, yra mažai; reikalinga pagalba – patarimai – pasiūlymai sutrikusio intelekto vaikų tėvams ir su jais dirbantiems pedagogams. Tyrime keliamas tikslas: ištirti sutrikusio intelekto vaikų emocijų ir elgesio sunkumus. Tyrime dalyvavo 89 Kauno specialiosios mokyklos sutrikusio intelekto vaikai. Elgesio ir emocijų sunkumai buvo vertinami “Galių ir sunkumų klausimynu” (R. Goodman, www.sdqinfo.com). Klausimynus apie kiekvieną vaiką pildė tėvai, auklėtojai ir mokytojai. Gauti tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad tiriamieji vaikai turi emocinių, dėmesio, elgesio ir bendravimo sunkumų, šie sunkumai ne trumpalaikiai, nes jie atsiradę daugiau nei prieš metus (daugumai nuo gimimo), pasireiškiantys sunkumai mažiau ar daugiau slegia ir verčia nerimauti 98-99% sutrikusio intelekto vaikų, turimi elgesio ir emociniai sunkumai įtakoja jų ir jų artimųjų bei aplinkinių kasdieninį gyvenimą. Tyrimo rezultatai leidžia teigti, kad jaunesniojo amžiaus sutrikusio intelekto vaikams būdingas mažiau socialus elgesys nei vyresniems, tačiau jie mažiau hiperaktyvūs nei vyresni sutrikusio... The theme analysed in this research is urgent and, in fact, it is useful and not very often investigated: there live about 16 thousand children of special needs in Lithuania, who learn in special schools; special training of children having confused intellect of emotions and behaviour raises much confusion and is not entirely clear; there is little literature about the emotional difficulties and difficulties of behaviour of children having confused intellect, how to help to overcome these difficulties for such children to and to get socialized in the society. The help, advices and suggestions are needed for parents having children with confused intellect and also for the teachers working with such children. The objective is raised in the research: to investigate the emotional difficulties and difficulties of behaviour of children having confused intellect, 89 children having confused intellect of Kaunas special school participated in the research. Problemos aktualumas: Jaunesniame mokykliniame amžiuje (I-IV kl.) formuojasi nauji, svarbūs vaiko psichikos bruožai, kurių pagrindu ugdosi labai svarbios savybės ¬­ savistaba, s¬ugebėjimas analizuoti savo poelgius ir kt. sudaro sąlygas formuotis valingam dėmesiui. Tačiau pastaruoju metu aktualia problema tampa auganti karta, kurioje yra nemažai vaikų, turinčių emocinių ir elgesio sutrikimų, kurie turi neigiamą reikšmę vaiko tolesnei psichikos raidai. Apžvelgiant kokybinių mokslinių tyrimų publikacijas Lietuvoje pasigendama mokslinių darbų, kuriuose emocijų ir elgesio problemos būtų tirtos taikant objektyvias standartizuotas metodikas. Dažniausiai duomenys renkami taikant anketavimo metodą, kurio autoriai būna patys tyrėjai. Šiuo metu užsienio šalyse emocijų ir elgesio sutrikimams vertinti plačiai naudojama BASC-2 metodika (Behavior Assessment System for Children, Reynolds ir Kamphaus, 2004, 2005), kuria galima nustatyti vaikų asmenų emocijų, jausmų ir elgesio modelių (pozityvaus ir klinikinio) ypatumus. Tyrimo objektas – 4 kl. mokinių elgsenos ir emocijų problemos. Tyrimo tikslas: Ištirti 4 kl. mokinių savo elgsenos ir emocijų problemų vertinimą ir palyginti jį su auklėtojos įvertinimu. Topicality of the problem: At the primary – school age (I – IV forms) new important formatives of a childs mentality start farming. They are basic for developing such important qualities as self – observation, ability to analyze ones actions and others that help to maintain volitional attention. However a new generation has recently become an urgent problem because there are a lot of children with behavioral and emotional disorders and that has negative influence on the further development of mentality. After surveying the publications of scientific studies in Lithuania it can be stated that there are no studies in which emotional and behavioral problems would be analyzed using objective standardized methods. The data is usually collected using questionnaire method the investigators themselves. With advances in information and communication technologies over the past few years, the amount of information stored in the form of electronic text documents has been rapidly growing. Since the human abilities to effectively process and analyze large amounts of information are limited, there is an increasing demand for tools enabling to automatically analyze these documents and benefit from their emotional content. These kinds of systems have extensive applications. The purpose of this work is to design and implement a system for identifying expression of emotions in Czech texts. The proposed system is based mainly on machine learning methods and therefore design and creation of a training set is described as well. The training set is eventually utilized to create a model of classifier using the SVM. For the purpose of improving classification results, additional components were integrated into the system, such as lexical database, lemmatizer or derived keyword dictionary. The thesis also presents results of text documents classification into defined emotion classes and evaluates various approaches to categorization.

Disertacija je usmerena na dva glavna istraživačka pitanja: na ispitivanjesloženih međuodnosa varijabli relevantnih za fenomen stres-procesa u kontekstuispitne anksioznosti i na istraživanje grešaka u sećanjima na emocije, misli iponašanja iz konkretne prošle stresne transakcije. Teorijsku bazu rada predstavlja uovoj studiji revidirana verzija modela Tejlora i Aspinvala (The Taylor and AspinwallModel, 1996), koji podrazumeva sveobuhvatan i savremen konceptualni okvir zarazumevanje komponenti generičkog pojma stresa i njihovih međusobnih relacija.Ovde validirani model obuhvata četiri grupe promenljivih: a) stresor (ispitnaanksioznost), b) suočavanje sa stresom (tri kategorije mehanizama prevladavanja:suočavanje usmereno na zadatak, suočavanje usmereno na emocije i izbegavanje), c)karakteristike ličnosti (optimizam i generalna samoefikasnost kao internalni resursi zasuočavanje sa stresom, i dve stabilne osobine ličnosti, relevantne za domenakademskog života: perfekcionizam i neuroticizam), i d) izlazne varijable stresprocesa(uspeh postignut na kolokvijumu i emocionalno stanje studenata neposrednonakon ispitne situacije).Istraživanje je sprovedeno na prigodnom uzorku od ukupno 263 studenata,koji pohađaju studije psihologije i germanistike na Filozofskom fakultetu u NovomSadu. Nacrt istraživanja koncipiran je na način, koji je omogućio prikupljanjepodataka u dva distinktivna vremena merenja: neposredno pre i odmah nakonpolaganja kolokvijuma, te mesec dana posle ove ispitne situacije. Ispitivanje prostoravarijabli stres-procesa obavljeno je primenom sledećih mernih instrumenata: upitnikza procenu ispitne anksioznosti (TAI), inventar za registrovanje načina suočavanja sakognitivnim zadacima (CITS), upitnik za merenje perfekcionizma (APS-R), skaladispozicionog optimizma (LOT-R), skala generalne samoefikasnosti (GSE), subskalaneuroticizma iz „Big Five” inventara ličnosti i upitnik za procenu pozitivnog inegativnog afektiviteta (SIAB-PANAS).Dobijeni rezultati, koji su proizišli iz razmatranja prve grupe istraživačkihpitanja, sugerišu da mehanizmi suočavanja usmereni na emocije predstavljajustatistički značajne medijatore relacija, koje postoje između visine izraženosti ispitneanksioznosti, s jedne strane, i uspeha na kolokvijumu i emocionalnog stanja ispitanikaneposredno nakon ispitne situacije, s druge strane. Nadalje, u radu su detaljnoprikazani i prodiskutovani specifični uslovi, pod kojima određeni nivo razvijenosti ispitivanih moderator varijabli (optimizam, generalna samoefikasnost, neuroticizam itri podvrste perfekcionizma) značajno menja sledeće relacije: a) ispitna anksioznost –izbor strategija za suočavanje, b) primenjeni mehanizmi prevladavanja – ishodiispitivane stresne transakcije i c) direktna veza između stresora i izlaznih varijabli.Prilikom ispitivanja memorijskih distorzija, ustanovljeno je da su studentigeneralno skloni naknadnom potcenjivanju jačine sopstvene ispitne anksioznosti, kojaje postojala u realnoj situaciji polaganja kolokvijuma, kao i precenjivanju pozitivnihishodnih emocija. Nalazi takođe sugerišu da osobina neuroticizma i uspeh postignutna testu znanja nisu u značajnoj meri delovali na greške u sećanju na osećanja izprošle stresne transakcije. Na posletku, utvrđeno je da su ispitanici relativno tačnoevocirali sećanja na primenjene strategije suočavanja, koje spadaju u kategorijeprevladavanja usmerenog na zadatak i izbegavanje, dok su potcenili jačinu i učestalostkorišćenja mehanizama suočavanja usmerenih na emocije.
The thesis is focused on two main research issues, as follows: examination ofcomplex interrelationships among variables relevant to the phenomenon of the stressprocessin the context of test anxiety and study of distortions in the memory foremotions, thoughts and behavior in a particular previous stressful transaction. Thetheoretical basis of the thesis presented in this study is a revised version of the Taylorand Aspinwall model (The Taylor and Aspinwall Model, 1996), which includes acomprehensive and contemporary conceptual framework for understanding thecomponents of a generic phenomenon of the stress concept and their mutual relations.The validated model includes four sets of variables: a) stressor (test anxiety), b)coping (three categories of coping mechanisms: task-focused coping, emotion-focusedcoping, and avoidance), c) personality traits (optimism and general self-efficacy asinternal resources for coping, and two stable personality traits relevant to the domainof academic life: perfectionism and neuroticism), and d) the output variables of thestress-process (success achieved at the colloquium and the emotional state of studentsimmediately after the test situation).The research was carried out on a sample of 263 students of Psychologystudies and German Language and Literature studies at the University of Novi Sad.The research design enabled data collection within two distinct times of measurement:immediately before and immediately after passing the colloquium (test), and a monthafter the test situation. Examination of the stress-process variable space was carriedout by application of the following measuring instruments: Test Anxiety Inventory(TAI), Coping Inventory for Task Stress (CITS), The Almost Perfect Scale-Revised(APS-R), Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE),the neuroticism subscale from the "Big Five" personality inventory, and the Serbianadaptation of the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (SIAB-PANAS).The obtained results, which have emerged after reviewing the first set of theresearch questions, suggest that emotion-focused coping mechanisms are significantmediators of relations, which exist between the intensity of the test anxiety on onehand, and success achieved at the colloquium and the emotional state of subjectsimmediately after the test situation, on the other hand. Furthermore, the thesis presentsin details and discusses specific conditions under which a certain level of theexamined moderator variables (optimism, general self-efficacy, neuroticism, and three subtypes of perfectionism) significantly change the following relations: a) test anxiety– a choice of coping strategies, b) applied coping mechanisms - outcomes of theexamined stressful transaction and c) a direct relationship between stressors andoutput variables.When examining memory distortions, it was found that students generallytended to subsequently underestimate the strength of their own test anxiety, whichexisted in the real situation of taking the test, as well as to overestimate positiveoutcome emotions. The findings also suggested that the neuroticism trait and thesuccess achieved on the test were statistically not significant for distortions inmemory, and feelings from the previous stressful transaction. Finally, it was foundthat the subjects relatively accurately evoked memories of the applied copingstrategies, which fell into the category of the task-focused coping and avoidance, andunderestimated the strength and frequency of application of emotion-focused copingmechanisms.

Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit “Geschlechtsspezifisches Erleben von Emotionen zwischen Litauern und Deutschen” steht die Emotionspsychologie, die sich mit der Beschreibung und Erklärung menschlichen Verhaltens und Erlebens befasst. Viele Fragen, die in der Emotionspsychologie bearbeitet werden, leiten sich aus dem Streit zwischen den unterschiedlichen Traditionen ab. In dieser Arbeit wird ein kurzer Überblick über die Theorien der Emotionsforschung gemacht. Eine der wichtigsten Fragen in der Emotionsforschung ist die Definition einer Emotion und auch Klassifikation der Emotionen. Die Definitionen des Begriffs “Emotion” sind vielfälltig. In dieser Arbeit werden Emotionen als zeitlich begrenzte Zustände verstanden, die qualitativ näher bestimmt werden können (als Freude, Angst, Ärger etc.). Sie lassen sich auf drei Ebenen beschreiben: der Ebene des Erlebens (Gefühle), des Ausdrucks und der körperlichen Veränderungen. Diese drei Ebenen werden in der Arbeit näher besprochen. Der Schwerpunkt wird jedoch auf das Erleben der Emotionen (vor allem - der Emotion der Angst) gelegt unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Geschlechts-und Kulturunterschiede im Emotionserleben und Emotionsausdruck. Vėlyvoji paauglystė (jaunystė) yra psichologinių ir socialinių pokyčių metas. Jaunuolis susiduria su užduotimis, kurias išsprendęs sėkmingai įžengia į suaugusiųjų pasaulį (Irwin ir Millstein, 1991). Jis turi įgyti nepriklausomybės, atrasti savo tapatumą, atsiranda poreikis atsiskirti nuo tėvų ir susitapatinti su bendraamžių grupe. Be to, vėlyvoji paauglystė yra metas, kai aktyviai sąveikaujant su socialine aplinka intensyviausiai formuojasi žmogaus savęs suvokimas ir vertinimas, kuris turi reikšmingas pasekmes asmens adaptacijai ir gerbūviui.Visame pasaulyje integracijos procesui žengiant į priekį, labai aktualu įvertinti neįgalių vaikų prisitaikomąjį elgesį, kuris gali būti apibūdinamas kaip savarankiškumas, gebėjimas prisitaikyti, socialinė ir emocinė branda. Sutrikusio intelekto asmuo turi būti įgijęs ne tik tam tikrą išsimokslinimą, bet ir sugebėti integruotis į visuomenę: tinkamai elgtis, priimti sprendimus, bendrauti su aplinkiniais. Nežymų protinį atsilikimą turintys jaunuoliai patys nori prisiimti atsakomybę už savo veiksmus, atsiskirti nuo šeimos, susirasti darbą, tačiau jiems sunku realiai įvertinti save ir savo galimybes. Remiantis teorine mokslinės literatūros analize, apibrėžti elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų/ sunkumų sampratą, priežastis, bendravimo ir mokymosi problemas, šiuolaikinę ugdymosi sampratą, elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų/ sunkumų, turintiems paaugliams teikiamą pagalbą ir ugdymosi ypatumus. Tiriant pedagogų nuomonę apie mokinių, turinčių elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų/sunkumų, ugdymosi procesą buvo taikomas kiekybinis tyrimas, atlikta anketinė apklausa, kurioje dalyvavo 106 Rokiškio miesto ir rajono ugdymo įstaigose dirbantys pedagogai, specialistai. Įvertinant mokinių požiūrį į mokyklą, mokymąsi, bendravimą su mokytojais ir bendraamžiais buvo taikomas kiekybinis tyrimas, atlikta anketinė apklausa mokiniams, kurioje dalyvavo 122 Rokiškio miesto ir rajono ugdymo įstaigose besimokantys mokiniai, turintys elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų/ sunkumų.
In schools, especially relevant and problematic topic is education of students having behavioural and emotional disorders/difficulties. Teachers and parents, being confronted with children’s inadequate behaviour, labile emotions, inattentiveness, increased activeness, impulsiveness, often don’t find proper ways of help, don’t know how to act in certain situations as such students disturb educational process and make troubles for the people round about. Disertacijoje analizuojami pusantrų metų amžiaus kūdikių emocijų ir elgesio sunkumai bei juos prognozuojantys biomedicininiai, psichologiniai bei socialiniai veiksniai. Atliktas perspektyvusis kohortinis kūdikių, gimusių 2009 m. gegužės – rugsėjo mėnesiais LSMU ligoninėje Kauno klinikose, tyrimas. Duomenys surinkti vykdant tris tyrimo etapus: (1) ligoninėje surinkti biomedicininiai duomenys bei atlikta anketinė motinų apklausa, (2) atlikta anketinė motinų apklausa kūdikiams sulaukus trijų mėnesių amžiaus ir (3) anketinė motinų apklausa kūdikiams sulaukus pusantrų metų amžiaus. Pusantrų metų amžiaus kūdikių emocijų ir elgesio sunkumai buvo įvertinti naudojant Vaiko elgesio aprašo (CBCL/1½–5) (Achenbach, Rescorla, 2000) Lietuvoje adaptuotą ir standartizuotą versiją (Jusienė, Raižienė, 2006). Emocijų ir elgesio sunkumai buvo labiau išreikšti kūdikiams, kurie gimė atliekant cezario pjūvį bei kurių fiziologinė būklė po gimimo nebuvo optimali. Tyrimas atskleidė tokių psichologinių ir socialinių veiksnių svarbą prognozuojant emocijų ir elgesio sunkumus, kaip sudėtingas motinos emocinis nėštumo priėmimas, negatyviai motinos vertinami santykiai su vyru / partneriu nėštumo metu, dažnas motinos negatyvių emocijų patyrimas, dideliu nerimu dėl vaiko pasižymintis motinos pogimdyminis prieraišumas ir nelanksčios, į tėvus orientuotos motinos nuostatos kūdikio auginimo atžvilgiu. The Dissertation analyses infants’ emotional and behavioral problems at the age of 1.5 years and their predictive biomedical and psychosocial factors. The Dissertation is based on data from prospective birth-cohort study. Study participants were infants born in the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS) Kauno Klinikos from May to September in 2009. The analysis included the data from three stages of the study: (1) biomedical data during and after childbirth and a questionnaire survey given to mothers 2 to 3 days after childbirth in hospital, (2) questionnaire survey of mothers three months postpartum, and (3) questionnaire survey of mothers 1.5 years postpartum. Emotional and behavioral problems were more expressed in infants born via caesarean section and whose physiological functioning after birth was not optimal. Study also revealed the importance of such psychosocial predictors of emotional and behavioral problems as complicated emotional acceptance of pregnancy, poor couple’s relationship during pregnancy, frequent negative maternal emotions, maternal postpartum attachment characterized by high anxiety regar¬ding child, and inflexible and parent-oriented attitudes toward infant-rearing. Obvious definitions of brand strategy are a foundation for successful management. Keeping in mind that the most ignored marketing opportunity in the Business to Business arena is the formation of a strong brand show the way to the requirement to have a clear basis for distinction. The significance of a categorization outside the B2B and B2C dichotomy is that it better explains the difficulty in the world of brands, as well as that it aids in perceiving the mutual dependence of different types of brands. Pastaruoju metu vis didėja mokytojų ir tėvų susirūpinimas dėl elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų turinčių vaikų ugdymo. Šie vaikai turi bendravimo ir mokymosi problemų, yra sunkiai auklėjami, aplinkiniams pridaro daug rūpesčių. Darbas su šiais vaikais iš mokytojo pareikalauja daugiau psichologinės įtampos, pastangų, kūrybiškumo, organizacinių sugebėjimų. Tyrimo problema - nėra teoriškai pagrįsto, elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų turinčių vaikų ugdymo, pradinėje mokykloje, modelio. Pradinės mokyklos mokytojams trūksta kompetencijos identifikuoti šiuos sutrikimus, šiuos sutrikimus turinčių vaikų problemas ir naudoti tinkamus vaikų ugdymo metodus (teisingus šių problemų sprendimo būdus). Tyrimo objektas – Elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų turinčių vaikų ugdymas. Darbo tikslas – sukurti elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimus turinčių vaikų ugdymo pradinėje mokykloje modelį. Lietuvoje ypač trūksta ankstyvos vaikų psichopatologijos įvertinimo diagnostiniais ir tyrimo tikslais metodikų. Vaikai su klausos sutrikimais Lietuvoje mažai tyrinėjami. Nors klausos sutrikimas yra „nematoma“ negalia, bet, be jokios abejonės, ji labai trukdo vaiko, kaip asmenybės, socialiniam vystimuisi. Klausos sutrikimas veikia žmogaus vystymąsi ir elgesio ypatumus. Anksčiau specialiojoje literatūroje buvo kalbama tik apie neigiamas kurčiųjų elgesio ir charakterio savybes. Pastaruoju metu pastebimos priešingos tendencijos: “Jeigu su kurčiuoju elgsimės švelniai, su didele meile, vengsime griežtumo ir bendrausime gestais, visos problemos spręsis savaime“. Norėdami pagrįstai ir tinkamai suskirstyti kurčiuosius į tam tikras grupes, privalome atsižvelgti į jų gyvenimo sąlygas, juos supančią aplinką. Objektyvios vystymosi sąlygos - šiuo atveju klausos sutrikimas - visada tiek teigiamai, tiek neigiamai veikia vaiką ir jo elgesį. Kokiomis sąlygomis gyvena kurčias vaikas? Vystymosi raidoje mažas kurčias žmogutis susiduria su begale sunkumų. The hearing disorder is “invisible” disability, and has very big influence for children’s personality and social development. The hearing disorders have influence for children’s development and behavior peculiarity. Previously in Lithuania in a special literature were produce just about negative behavior and emotional temper characteristics of children with hearing disorders. But now there noticed tendencies that children with behavior and emotions can be in normal level if these children will get tenderness and love. Tyrimo tikslas – tirti ir analizuoti paauglių emocijų pažinimo, emocijų valdymo bei psichologinių ir socialinių sunkumų sąsajas. Tyrime dalyvavo 212 paauglių (98 vaikinai ir 114 merginos, iš jų 96 – kaimo gyventojai, 116 – miesto), nuo 14 m. iki 17 m. Naudotos metodikos – Jaunuolio savęs vertinimo klausimynas (YSR 11/18), Emocijų pažinimo klausimynas (Emotion Awareness Questionnaire, EAQ-30) bei Jaunuolių emocijų valdymo skalė (Juvenile Emotion Management Scale, JEMS). Rezultatai: Paauglių emocijų pažinimo, jų valdymo ir emocinių sunkumų sąsajos: nerimastingumas, depresiškumas, užsisklendimas bei somatiniai skundai yra susiję su blogu emocijų skyrimu ir verbalizacija bei emocijų fizine išraiška; blogesnis emocijų atskleidimas kitiems susijęs su didesniu paauglių depresiškumu, nerimastingumu bei užsisklendimu; geresnis kitų žmonių emocijų supratimas yra statistiškai reikšmingai susijęs su somatiniais skundais, o geresnė emocijų analizė – su užsisklendimu; nerimastingumas, depresiškumas siejasi su blogesniu tinkamu socialiniu reagavimu, netinkamų jausmų supratimu bei prastesne pagalba kitiems; paauglių netinkamų jausmų supratimas susijęs su didesniais somatiniais skundais. Objective – explore and analyze the relationship between emotion awareness, emotion management and psychological and social problems of adolescents. Participants - 212 adolescents (98 male and 114 female, 96 – countryside, 116 – city), 14 - 17 years old. Measurement – Youth Self-Report (YSR 11/18), Emotion Awareness Questionnaire (EAQ-30,) and Juvenile Emotion Management Scale (JEMS). Results: The relationship between emotion awareness, emotion management and emotional problems of adolescents: anxiety, depression and somatic complaints are related to worse differentiating emotions skills, verbal sharing of emotions, and bodily awareness skills; worse not hiding emotions skills are related to higher rates on anxiety, depression and withdrawal; better attending to others’ emotions skills have a statistically significant relationship with somatic complaints, o better analysis of emotion skills – with withdrawal; anxiety, depression is related to worse less appropriate feelings to a given social setting skills, acknowledge an inappropriate feelings and worse acting helpfully to others; worse acknowledge an inappropriate feelings is relates to more somatic complaints. Tyrimo tikslas - nustatyti teigiamų emocijų ir kūrybiškumo ryšį su vyresnio amžiaus žmonių psichologiniu atsparumu. Tyrime dalyvavo 200 vyresnio amžiaus žmonių (118 moterų ir 82 vyrai). Tiriamųjų amžius nuo 40 metų iki 61 ir daugiau. Siekiant atskleisti vyresnio amžiaus žmonių patiriamas emocijas buvo taikytas Fredrikson, Losada (2005) klausimynas apie patiriamas teigiamas ir neigiamas emocijas - (angl. Positive Affect and the Complex Dynamics of Human Flourishing). Kūrybiškumui matuoti buvo naudojamas Hocevar (1980) Kūrybinės veiklos klausimynas (angl. Creative Behavior Inventory), tyrime naudojamos keturios skalės: literatūros, muzikos, rankdarbių bei bendras šių trijų skalių kūrybiškumas. Psichologiniam atsparumui matuoti buvo pasirinkta Wagnild ir Young Atsparumo skalė, kurią į lietuvių klabą išvertė A. Pranckevičienė, R. Pakrosnis, V. Čepukienė (2006 ), tyrime naudojamos trys skalės: pasitikėjimas savimi, prasmės suvokimas/drąsa priimti iššūkius bei bendras šių dviejų skalių psichologinis atsparumas. Tyrimo rezultatų analizė rodo, kad vyrai ir moterys pasižymi panašiu bendru psichologiniu atsparumu, pasitikėjimu savimi bei prasmės suvokimas/drąsa priimti iššūkius. Taip pat atskleista, kad vyrai ir moterys patiria panašiai teigiamų emocijų. Kalbant apie kūrybiškumą, nustatyta, kad moterys pasižymi didesniu literatūriniu, rankdarbių darymo bei bendru kūrybiškumu, palyginus su vyrais. The aim - to identify the relationship of positive emotions and creative with the psychological resilience of elderly. The study included 200 (118 females and 82 males) older people. The age of from study participants are 40 years to 61 or more. In order to reveal the elderly experienced emotions were applied Fredrikson, Losada (2005) questionnaire on experienced positive and negative emotions (Positive Affect and the Complex Dynamics of Human Flourishing). To measure the creativity, was used Hocevar (1980) Creative Behavior Inventory, four scales used in the study: literature, music, handicrafts, overall creativity. To measure the psychological resilience was chosen Wagnild and Young psychological resilience scale, which is translated into the Lithuanian language by A. Pranckevičienė, R. Pakrosnis, V. Čepukienė (2006), the study used three scales: the overall resilience, self-confidence, the meaning perception / courage to accept the challenge. Analysis of the results shows that men and women have similar total psychological resilience, self-confidence and the meaning perception/courage to accept the challenge. It is also revealed that men and women experiencing positive emotions in a similar. As for creativity, found that women have a higher creativity in literature, handicrafts and overall creativity, compared with men, and musical creativity does not have differ between men and women. The first objective of this examines the issue from the perspective of general psychology and intelligent systems. The work discusses in detail the design model of the human psyche with definitions of agents system and design of simulation environment. The special part is devoted to the design of the neural network system. After description of implementation of the model and simulation environment, finally, the work show results of experiments with the implemented system from the perspective of conformity with psychological theories and benefits to artificial intelligence.

This study focuses on how gay men communicate on the Grindr dating app. Prior research has been conducted on how gay men construct their online identities, however, few studies explore how gay men experience interactions online, negotiate their relationships with other men online, and perceive other users. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with 20 men who use the Grinder app, a location-based dating app used by men who have sex with men. Additional data were collected by observing user profiles on the app, which is free and public. This comprehensive, qualitative study of gay men who use Grindr provides insights into identity construction, communication tactics, and users’ feelings about their encounters on the app.

The diploma thesis focuses on classification of emotions. Thesis deals about parameterization of sounds files by suprasegment and segment methods with regard for next used of these methods. Berlin database is used. This database includes many of sounds records with emotions. Parameterization creates files, which are divided to two parts. First part is used for training and second part is used for testing. Point of interest is self-organization network. Thesis includes Matlab´s program which can be used for parameterization of any database. Data are classified by self-organization network after parameterization. Results of hits rates are presented at the end of this diploma thesis.

V-1265/V-685/A1-317 ,, Dėl Mokinių, turinčių specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių, grupių nustatymo ir jų specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių skirstymo į lygius tvarkos aprašo patvirtinimo“ elgesio ar/ir emocijų sutrikimai apibrėžiami kaip heterogeniška grupė sutrikimų, pasireiškiančių elgesio ar/ir emocinėmis reakcijomis, ryškiai besiskiriančiomis nuo įprastų amžiaus, kultūros ir etinių normų bei išreikštu nedėmesingumu, impulsyvumu ar/ir prasta elgesio reguliacija. Mokslinėje literatūroje nurodoma, jog elgesio sutrikimu laikytinas vaiko socialinis neprisitaikymas, pasireiškiantis agresyviu, griaunamuoju antisocialiu elgesiu arba veiksmais. Pedagoginėje literatūroje akcentuojama, jog elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimai – dažnas reiškinys bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose. Mokiniai, turintys elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų, labai dažnai patiria sunkumų bendraudami su bendraamžiais. Under the new Republic of Lithuania, Minister of Education and Science, 2011 July 13 decree on pupils with special educational needs in determining the types and distribution of special educational needs in the levels of Procedure for Approval of the treatment and / or emotional disorders are defined as a heterogeneous group of disorders that occur in behavior and / or emotional reactions, significantly different from the usual age, cultural and ethical norms, expressed in terms of inattention, impulsivity and / or poor regulation of behavior. The scientific literature indicates that children's behavioral problems considered social nonconformity, which manifests itself as an aggressive, antisocial behavior. Pedagogical literature emphasizes that emotional and behavioral disorders are phenomenon, common and mainstream in schools. Pupils with emotional and behavioral disorders often experience difficulties in communicating with their peers, because these children are lack social skills, failure to make friends, to maintain friendly relations, to establish a conversation, to avoid conflict situations. Student’s management system helps and ensures smooth operation during the lessons in schools and classes. Students develop rules are creating at the institution level, classroom behavior rules - of classroom level. They provide discipline and positive behavior measures that help teachers work with students.

Vilniaus Šeškinės pradinėje mokykloje 2006/2007 m.m. įsteigta pirmoji Lietuvoje specialioji klasė vaikams, turintiems elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų. Įsteigta specialioji klasė vaikams, turintiems elgesio ir emocijų sutrikimų, Vilniaus Šeškinės pradinėje mokykloje, ir darbas joje, iniciavo gilinimąsi į šią problemą ir sprendimo suradimą. The main problem of the work is slow integration of children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions. According to nonfiction, theoretical literature and the data of the research models for work with children, who has derangements in their behaviour and emotions were formulated. These models would help the children to socialize and make the education process more attractive. The special class for the children who has derangements in their behaviour and emotions was established in 2006/2007 school year in Vilnius at Seskines primary school. This class is the first in Lithuania. This class and work there initiated to go deeper into the problem and discover the decision. On purpose to explore the possibilities how to improve the planning and management of the education process integrating the children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions, scientific and theoretical basics of the problem are analysed. The opinion of teachers, headmasters, children and parents about the children with derangements in their behaviour and emotions learning at school in special class is being found out in this work.

Main objective of this graduation thesis is clarification of informations about human emontions and its recognition and classification on basis of generally known methods. Among generally known methods belongs classification based on mimic and pantomimic expression basis and on voice tone basis. This graduation thesis is primary focused on human emotions recoginition and classification on text messages analysis. Specifically anger and joy. A Czech database in lemma form was crated for this method and it contains emotion functional words. It was made by translation of English emotion functional words and it is divided to emotion key words, emotion modification words and emotion phrases. Also was made special database of neutral words, which are removed from emotions classification except emotion phrases comparation. A degrees were assigned to emotion key words and phrases and this assignment was made by more people. That guarantee better objectivity of the database. Values of single emotion words and phrases might be influenced by emotion modification words, words that contains gradation, negation or punctuation. Output of this graduation thesis is application in JAVA language. That application after insertion input text message compare single words with all available databases and count resultant emotion rate for joy and anger emotions. Evaluation involve also single words, sentences and paragraphs. Application was designed in NetBeans with Swing GUI Builder.

This research explores a viable solution to the U.S.Marine Corps’ (USMC) communications gap at the tactical edge. The aim is to leverage commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology to provide a combat operations center (COC) like communication architecture to small units operating in austere environments. The proposed architecture required must be lightweight, energy efficient, and allow greater mobility through a reduced footprint and energy consumption. By reducing the energy required for unit communications, this theoretical architecture decreases fuel needs, leading to a reduction in logistical-supply requirements. The emergency operational center (EOC) architectural concept is examined as an example of virtualized technology to determine how such an architecture might satisfy USMC requirements. Server virtualization, hastily formed networks, the functionality of software and hardware in a virtual environment, and the original concept of the EOC architecture are explored. Expeditionary considerations and Marine Air Ground Task Force command-and-control (C2) characteristics are also considered, along with current communication architectures, comparing capabilities, weight, and power consumption to determine a baseline for future C2 technology. Finally, the interoperability and security of the EOC are discussed in relation to software and hardware used by the USMC.

Osnovni cilj ovog istraţivanja je bio ispitivanje uticaja indukovanog srećnog i tuţnog afekta i vulnerabilnosti za depresiju na proces paţnje. U istraţivanju su integrisane i proveravane osnovne pretpostavke Teorije proširenja i izgradnje (Fredrickson, 1998, 2001) koje se tiĉu uticaja pozitivnih i negativnih emocija na opseg paţnje, i pretpostavke Bekove teorije depresije (Beck, 1967) u vezi sa efektima kognitivne vulnerabilnosti za depresiju na proces paţnje. Dva kljuĉna pitanja na koja je ovo istraţivanje pokušalo da pruţi odgovore su: 1) da li opseg paţnje zavisi od emocionalnog stanja koje osoba trenutno doţivljava; 2) da li osobe sa kognitivnom vulnerabilnošću za depresiju ispoljavaju negativne pristrasnosti paţnje. Istraţivanje je sprovedeno u dve faze. U prvoj fazi je uĉestvovalo 731 ispitanika (84% ţenskog pola), studenata Filozofskog fakulteta u Novom Sadu, proseĉne starosti 20.52 godine (SD = 1.80). Cilj ovog dela istraţivanja je bio da se selektuju osobe sa visokim i niskim rizikom za razvoj depresije, na osnovu skorova na dve mere kognitivne vulnerabilnosti za depresiju: 1) testa za procenu pristrasnosti u kognitivnom procesiranju informacija (Scrambled Sentences Test; Wenzlaff, 1988, 1993); 2) skale samoprocene depresivnih kognicija (Dysfunctional Attitude Scale-Form A; Weissman & Beck, 1978). Na osnovu rezultata na testovima vulnerabilnosti za depresiju i subskali depresivnosti PDSQ (The Psychiatric Diagnostic Screening Questionnaire; Zimmerman & Mattia, 2001), iz inicijalnog uzorka su formirane dve grupe ispitanika - vulnerabilni za depresiju (N = 82; 69 ţenskog pola i 13 muškog) i nevulnerabilni (N = 88; 79 ţenskog pola i 9 muškog). Od ukupnog broja ispitanika koji su zadovoljavali kriterijume visoke i niske vulnerabilnosti za depresiju, u eksperimentalnom delu istraţivanja je uĉestvovalo 120 ispitanika (po 60 u svakoj grupi), koji su pristali da doĊu na drugu fazu istraţivanja. Druga faza istraţivanja je sprovedena u Laboratoriji za eksperimentalnu psihologiju, Filozofskog fakulteta, Univerziteta u Novom Sadu, i sastojala se iz sledećih delova: 1) popunjavanja baterije testova za procenu kontrolnih varijabli: pozitivnog i negativnog afekta, anksioznosti, depresivnosti, psihološke fleksibilnosti, optimizma i radoznalosti; 2) indukcije emocija, procedurom kombinovanja muzike i prisećanja i zapisivanja autobiografskog dogaĊaja; 3) eksperimenta praćenja oĉnih pokreta, u kojem je korišćen Eye-tracking sistem EyeLink II; 4) debrifinga. Stimulus u eksperimentu je bio slajd sa tri slike iste valence (tuţne, srećne, neutralne), prikazane na sivoj pozadini. Na slajdu je uvek jedna slika bila centralno, a dve periferno. Polje u kojem su slike prikazivane je bilo podeljeno u devet kvadranata, u koje su slike rasporeĊene sluĉajnim izborom. Korišćeno je ukupno 90 slika (po 30 svake valence) koje su izabrane iz baze IAPS (International Affective Picture System; Lang, Bradley, & Cuthbert, 2008). Pokreti dominantnog oka su monokularno snimani, a zadatak ispitanika je bio da posmatra slike prirodno i da gleda ono što ga zanima, kao da gleda televiziju. Indikatori opsega paţnje su bili: a) procenat gledanja perifernih slika u odnosu na centralne; b) proseĉan broj fiksacija po slajda. Kao mere pristrasnosti paţnje su definisane: a) proseĉno trajanje svih fiksacija na slajdu odreĊene emocionalne valence; b) proseĉno trajanje prve fiksacije na centralnoj slici. Radi provere glavnih efekata vulnerabilnosti, indukovanog afekta i valence stimulusa, kao i njihovih interakcija, na opseg i pristrasnosti paţnje, u analizi podataka je korišćen trofaktorski mešoviti model analize varijanse (ANOVA). Rezultati istraţivanja su pokazali da laboratorijski indukovan afekat nema robustan efekat na opseg paţnje, kao i da negativne pristrasnosti paţnje nisu primetne kod osoba koje ispoljavaju kognitivnu vulnerabilnost za depresiju. Nalazi istraţivanja nisu potvrdili pretpostavke Teorije proširenja i izgradnje o uticaju pozitivnih i negativnih emocija na proces paţnje. Pri tom, nalazi su osporili operacionalizaciju depresivne kognitivne šeme kao opšte kognitivno-organizacion

I emphasize the growing role of emotions. Furthermore I describe recommendations how to create textual and visual parts of the advertising messages. In the practical part I verify how these recommendations actually influence the selected group. For this purpose I use the group interview. In addition I make interviews with professionals to clarify if the early mentioned recommendations are applicable in practise.

The thesis also describes the emotions and its use in marketing communication. Thesis also explains how to built positive association with brand through the emotions, moreover the methods how to measure the emotions. The practical part of the thesis is focusing on content analysis of TV advertisement. The analysis introduces some of the product cathegories. The aim of this analysis is to confirm or reject the hypotesis that given product cathegories use the same emotional appeals. Subsequent research determines, if the emotional appeal is really functional and how the respondents are influenced by TV advertisement.

TIKSLAS: nustatyti dialektinės elgesio terapijos efektyvumą koreguojant 8 – 11 metų vaikų elgesio ir emocijų problemas. TIRIAMIEJI: 54 vaikai, apibūdinami kaip turintys emocijų ir elgesio problemų bei linkę nusižengti taisyklėms ar nusikalsti. 59% imties sudaro berniukai, 41% - mergaitės. Tiriamųjų amžiaus vidurkis 9,6±0,2. METODIKOS: ASEBA klausimyno probleminių teiginių skalės. REZULTAI: vaikų emocijų ir elgesio problemų korekcijai naudota dialektinės elgesio terapijos programa yra efektyvi 9 – 11 metų vaikų grupėje ir įtakoja daugiau elgesio bei dėmesio ir mažiau emocijų problemų raišką. Vaikų lytis ir amžius įtakojo programos efektyvumą.
TOPIC: Effectiveness of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Children with Emotional and Conduct Problems GOAL: to evaluate effectiveness of Dialectical behavioral therapy in the sample of 8th – 11th year old children with emotion and conduct problems. PARTICIPANTS: 54 children characterized as having emotional and conduct problems, prone to break rules or offend. 59 percent of the sample are boys, 41 percent are girls. Mean of age in the sample 9,6±0,2. MEASURES: ASEBA Teacher rating form. RESULTS: Dialectical behavioral therapy program was successful in reducing conduct problems in the sample of 9th to 11th year old children. Effect size was larger for conduct problems compared to emotional problems. Age and gender of the children influenced the effectiveness of the program.

Savo darbe paauglių, turinčių specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių, integruotų į bendrojo lavinimo mokyklas elgesio ir emocijų raiškos sąsajas su socialine aplinka vertinti pasirinkom BASC-2 (vaikų elgesio vertinimo sistema) metodiką. Ši metodika leidžia tirti asmenybes įvairiais aspektais. Paauglius, turinčius specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių, integruotus į bendrojo lavinimo mokyklas vertino patys paaugliai, tėvai bei mokytojai. Nowadays processes occurring in the world as well as Lithuania (unemployment, crises, emigration) influence people’s values, as a result, the number of teenagers having emotional and behavioral problems is increasing. Apart from this, due to integration progress in Lithuania the number of teenagers who besides general needs typical of all students have special educational needs as well is increasing in secondary schools. In my project in order to evaluate the behavioral and emotional links with social environment of teenagers, with special educational needs, who have been integrated into secondary schools BASC – 2 methods has been chosen (Behavior Assessment System for Children, Second Edition). This method enables to test a personality at different aspects. Teenagers with special educational needs who have been integrated into secondary schools were assessed by teenagers themselves, parents and teachers. Tyrimai rodo, kad valgymo sutrikimais sergančios merginos pasižymi mažiau adaptyvia streso įveika bei emocijų reguliacijos sutrikdymais lyginant su sveikomis merginomis. Tyrimai ir klinikinė praktika rodo, kad šios merginos vaikystėje dažnai yra patyrusios seksualinę prievartą. Šio tyrimo tikslas yra ištirti valgymo sutrikimais sergančių merginų streso įveikos strategijų ir emocijų reguliacijos ypatumų sąsajas su vaikystėje patirta seksualine prievarta. Šiame tyrime 39,34 procentai valgymo sutrikimais sergančių merginų nurodė iki 18 metų patyrusios kurią nors iš seksualinės prievartos formų, tad galutines tyrimo dalyvių grupes sudarė 24 patyrusios seksualinę prievartą ir 27 nepatyrusios seksualinės prievartos valgymo sutrikimais sergančios merginos bei 48 kontrolinės grupės merginos. Depresija ir nerimas buvo vertinami Becko depresijos ir Spielbergerio Situacinio – vidinio nerimo klausimynu, įveikos strategijos buvo vertinamos Grakausko ir Valicko sukurtu Keturių faktorių streso įveikos klausimynu, o emocijų reguliacijos ypatumams tirti buvo taikomas olandų sukurtas Kognityvinės emocijų reguliacijos klausimynas ir dvi skalės iš Garnerio Valgymo sutrikimų klausimyno. Tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad patyrusios seksualinę prievartą stresinėse situacijose rečiau siekia socialinės paramos, tačiau nesiskiria pagal kitas įveikos strategijas lyginant su prievartos nepatyrusiomis merginomis. Research show that eating disorders are associated with less adaptive coping strategies and more emotion regulation impairments. Research studies and clinical practice show that eating disorderd females aften are victims of childhood sexual abuse. The main purpose of this study is to investigate peculiarities of stress coping strategies and emotion regulation in relation to childhood sexual abuse experience. 24 (or 39,34 %) eating disordered females reported a history of sexual abuse before age 18. The other two groups consisted of 27 eating disordered women who did not report a history of sexual abuse and 48 students. Beck Depression Inventory and State – Trait Anxiety Inventory were used for evaluation of distress level, Lithuanian Four-Factor Coping with Stress Questionnaire, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and two scales from the Eating Disorders Inventory were used for evaluation of emotion regulation and stress coping peculiarities. Compared with subjects who did not report a history of childhood sexual abuse, females with a history of sexual abuse are less seeking social support in stressfull situations, but don‘t differ in comparison with other coping strategies. Eating disordered females with a history of sexual abuse exhibited lower emotional awareness and more emotion dysregulation: proness to anger outbursts, mood instability. Associado ? subcultura punk e ao estilo musical punk hardcore, surge na d?cada de 1980 o movimento Emocore (termo que significa Emotional Hardcore), que pretendia reformular a imagem de viol?ncia e descompromisso outrora reproduzida pelo punk, abordando tem?ticas que diziam respeito aos sentimentos e conflitos pessoais e resgatando a est?tica punk rock. O Emocore ganha espa?o na sociedade como uma subcultura e ? tomada pela ind?stria midi?tica como uma possibilidade de mercado de consumo, reproduzindo entre os jovens uma identidade marcada por fashionismos, estilos e gostos pr?prios ao grupo que fazem refer?ncia ao legado do punk e do rock (prefer?ncia pela cor preta, t?nis All Star e acess?rios com rebites) e ?s tend?ncias ditadas pela moda (franjas compridas, cabelos coloridos, maquiagem tamb?m entre os rapazes), em conson?ncia ao que prop?e o mass media. Al?m disso, os jovens emos apresentam uma exacerba??o das demonstra??es afetivas entre os pares, da melancolia e da tristeza. Por esta est?tica e comportamento frente ao que ? dado socialmente, acabam muitas vezes sendo alvo do estigma social, manifestado tamb?m por atos de viol?ncia, seja f?sica ou moral. Nesta perspectiva, o que se percebeu foi a diminui??o do grupo emo em ambientes de conv?vio social, tais como shopping center e pra?as locais. Em entrevistas realizadas com jovens ex-emos, o que se p?de constatar foi a fluidez da identidade entre adolescentes que se diversificam frente ao que ? apresentado como possibilidade de consumo e de estilo de vida pela ind?stria fonogr?fica. Foram citados pontos de constru??o subjetiva Emocore, como o fortalecimento dos la?os fraternais, o sentimentalismo como elemento de identifica??o grupal, o sofrimento, a viol?ncia, o estigma, a sexualidade, a ?emodinha? e a est?tica diferente. Envolvido a tudo isso, h? o elemento musical, constantemente resgatado no discurso dos jovens em conversa como o modelo para suas identifica??es. Concluindo, o Emotional Hardcore dos anos 2000 foi um fen?meno modista, uma identidade juvenil baseada no jogo de influ?ncia do mass media.
Associated to punk subculture and to punk hardcore music, emerges in the 1980?s the Emocore subculture (term that means Emotional Hardcore), that intended reformulate the image of violence and lack of commitment once reproduced by punk, broaching subjects about respect for feeling and personal conflicts, redeeming punk rock esthetics. Emocore takes space in society as a subculture and it is taken by media industry as a consumption?s market possibility, reproducing among teenagers an identity marked by fashion tendencies, styles and own tastes to group that mention to legacy of punk and rock (preference for black, All Star sneakers and accessories such as studs) and to tendencies defined by fashion (long bangs, colored hair, make-up for boys), according to mass media purposes. Besides, young emos present exacerbation of affective statements between pairs, melancholy and sadness. Due to esthetics and behavior opposite to what is socially given, they end up being targets of social stigma, expressed through moral or physical violence acts. In this perspective, it was noticed the reduction of emo group in places of social contact, such as shopping center and local squares. After the interview achievement with ex-emos, it was found identity?s fluidity among teenagers that diversifies themselves for what is presented as consumption?s and lifestyle?s possibility by phonographic industry. It was quoted points of Emocore subjective construction, like strengthening of fraternal bounds, emotionalism as element of group identification, suffering, violence, stigma, sexuality, ?emodinha? and different esthetics. Involved with all that, there is the musical element, constantly redeemed on speeches of interviewed teenagers as the model for their identifications. Concluding, Emotional Hardcore in the 2000?s was a fashion phenomenon, an youth identity based on game of influences of mass media.

Abstract:
Celem pracy jest określenie roli, jaką emocje obecnie spełniają w interakcjach międzyludzkich. Opracowanie tego problemu wymaga odpowiedniego doboru narzędzi analitycznych. Stwierdzam, że narzędzi takich nie dostarczają koncepcje teoretyczne tradycyjnie przyjmowane w socjologii emocji: perspektywy te są albo ahistoryczne – marginalizują znaczenie związanego z określonymi warunkami strukturalnymi procesu „uspołecznienia” emocji, albo zakładają, że kategorie kulturowe odpowiadają strukturalnym. Nie pozwalają zatem na badanie zjawisk pojawiających się w czasie intensywnych przemian społecznych, kiedy to załamuje się obowiązujący dotychczas system norm, a struktura społeczna ulega przekształceniom.Narzędzi analitycznych do badania zjawisk występujących w takim czasie dostarcza natomiast przyjęte przeze mnie podejście teoretyczne zorganizowane wokół pojęcia praktyk społecznych. Perspektywa ta przekształca analizę emocji w analizę społeczeństwa: badanie emocji staje się badaniem struktury znaczeń organizujących odniesienia międzyludzkie i struktury wyłaniających się z tych odniesień relacji, a pytanie o rolę odgrywaną przez emocje w życiu społecznym – pytaniem o to, do czego i jak emocje są używane w praktykach społecznych przez członków danego społeczeństwa. Znalezienie odpowiedzi na to pytanie było celem przeprowadzonych przeze mnie badań empirycznych.W przyjętym przeze mnie schemacie badawczym podstawową jednostkę analizy tworzy pojęcie interakcji. Odwołując się do typologii zaproponowanej przez Annę Gizę-Poleszczuk, przyporządkowuję interakcje do trzech podstawowych sfer oddziaływań społecznych: „sfery współżycia”, do której przynależą przelotne, niepowtarzalne interakcje zachodzące w przestrzeni publicznej, „sfery ekspansji”, obejmującej interakcje pomiędzy występującymi w określonych rolach społecznych jednostkami, które stykają się ze sobą w przestrzeni instytucji, i „sfery dyskursu”, czyli interakcji ukierunkowanych na uzgodnienie poglądów i wartości, zachodzących w przestrzeni komunikacji. Dla każdej z wyszczególnionych sfer interakcji wybrałam jeden charakterystyczny obszar oddziaływań – przestrzeń miejską, miejsce pracy oraz komunikację związaną z ustalaniem tożsamości zbiorowej. Dane do badania zebrałam za pomocą grupowych wywiadów zogniskowanych z jednostkami regularnie uczestniczącymi w danym typie interakcji. Wykorzystałam również dane zastane ogólnodostępne w internecie. Podstawową metodą analizy zebranych materiałów była jakościowa analiza treści.Na podstawie zebranego materiału wyodrębniłam podstawowe znaczenia, wokół których w tych obszarach organizowane są interakcje, oraz określiłam miejsce, jakie w przebiegu tych interakcji odgrywają emocje. Stwierdzam, że sfera współżycia z wymiaru przelotnych, afektywnie neutralnych interakcji z nieznajomymi, przekształca się w przestrzeń budowania (ochrony) poczucia własnej wartości, nacechowaną intensywnymi emocjami. Ekspresja emocjonalna staje się medium umożliwiającym regulację przebiegu poszczególnych interakcji. Sfera ekspansji z wymiaru neutralnych afektywnie relacji, regulowanych biurokratycznymi procedurami, przeobraża się w przestrzeń interpersonalnych gier, podczas których dochodzi do wygenerowania kapitału emocjonalnego i, na tej podstawie, bieżącego strukturyzowania stosunków społecznych w ramach organizacji. Sfera dyskursu z przestrzeni komunikacji ukierunkowanej na uzgodnienie sensów przekształca się w sferę aksjologicznego konfliktu. Emocje spełniają dwojaką rolę w należących do niej interakcjach: z jednej strony, określone czynniki emocjonalne hamują proces uzgadniania sensów i blokują krystalizację zbiorowych tożsamości. Z drugiej, wspólnie przeżywane intensywne emocje umożliwiają tymczasowe uwspólnienie sensów i uspołecznienie jednostkowych działań.Stwierdzam, że w okresie intensywnych przekształceń struktury społecznej, emocje służą porządkowaniu na nowo świata, którego główną cechą jest rozpad dotychczasowych wzorców interakcyjnych.
The aim of this paper is to identify role exercised by emotions in contemporary social interactions. To approach this problem adequate analytical tools must be employed. I claim that theoretical perspectives traditionally adopted in the field of sociology of emotions do not offer such tools, as they either marginalize the importance of the process of social ‘elaboration’ of emotions, or they are based on an assumption that cultural categories are complementary with structural conditions. Therefore, they do not allow to analyse phenomena occurring in the periods of intensive social change.Analytical tools which allow on such an analysis are offered by a theoretical perspective which I adopt in this paper – the ‘practice theory’. This perspective transforms an analysis of emotions into an analysis of a society: a research on emotions changes into a research on structure of practical understandings around which social interactions are organized, and, what follows, into a research on structure of relations, which emerges from these interactions. The question about role exercised by emotions in social life can thus be reformulated into a more specific question about the ways in which emotions are used in social practices, and the aims which they serve. I approach this question through an empirical analysis. My research design is based on the concept of an interaction. I employ a typology of interactions formulated by Anna Giza-Poleszczuk, and, following her, I divide interactions into three spheres of social life: a ‘coexistence sphere’, which encompasses transient, casual interactions between strangers in a public space, an ‘expansion sphere’, which encompasses interactions between individuals in given social roles interacting in an institutional context, and a ‘discourse sphere’, which encompasses interactions during which individuals communicate and discuss views and values in order to share them, and, thus, achieve mutual understanding on which a collective identity can be grounded. I chose three aspect of social life, which best correspond with initial definitions of these spheres: public space of a big city (Warsaw), a workplace, and communication aiming at articulation of a collective identity. I collected data through a series of focus group interviews with individuals regularly engaged in given types of interactions. I also utilized data publicly available on the internet. I employed the tools of qualitative content analysis to analyze the data obtained.Based on the empirical analysis I identified key practical understandings, around which interactions belonging to each sphere are organized, and the role exercised by emotions in these interactions. I find that the ‘coexistence’ sphere transforms from a realm of transient, affectively neutral interactions into a realm in which actors either aim at elevating their status, or try to protect their self-esteem. Emotional expression serves as a direct regulator of the course of an interaction. The ‘expansion’ sphere transforms from a realm of affectively neutral relations regulated by bureaucratic procedures into a realm of interpersonal games, through which emotional capital is generated, and unofficial social hierarchy of a workplace emerges. The ‘discourse’ sphere transforms from a realm of communication aimed at sharing views and values into a realm of axiological conflict. Emotions exercise a twofold role in this dimension of social life: on the one hand, certain emotional factors block the process of communicating, and agreeing on given aims and values, and, what follows, the emergence of a collective identity. On the other, jointly experienced intensive emotions allow on the emergence of transient collective identities, and temporary coordination of actions. I conclude that in the period of intensive transformations of the social structure, emotions serve to re-order the social world characterized by a disintegration of hitherto dominant interactional patterns.

W kolejnym rozdziale rozprawy doktorskiej, pt. „Ptaki z Wieży Babel – czyli, słów kilka o pochodzeniu języka.”, przyjmując jednoznaczną postawę, Autor uznaje ewolucyjny charakter języka homo sapiens sapiens. Rozdział trzeci, pt. „Współczesne metody badań lingwistycznych nad pochodzeniem i ewolucją języka.” zawiera porównawcze spektrum dyscyplin językoznawstwa działających w obszarze analizy relacji język-kultura-umysł. Autor dysertacji dodatkowo eksponuje założenia Antropolingwistyki, której główne postulaty zostały zawarte w Manifeście Białostockim w 2004 roku. Wstępem do części praktycznej jest rozdział czwarty, pt. „Problem złożoności semantycznej angielskich przymiotników określających emocje w badaniach lingwistycznych.”, w którym zostaje poruszone zjawisko „interferencyjności” pól semantycznych przymiotników określających emocje. Część praktyczna rozpoczyna się rozdziałem piątym, pt. „Analiza pola semantycznego desygnatu „happy” (szczęśliwy).”. Całość spostrzeżeń z badań zostaje zamknięta propozycją nowego pojęcia „kontrasemia”. W rozdziale szóstym, pt. „Analiza pola semantycznego desygnatu „angry” (zły).” przedstawiono diachroniczną analizę pola znaczeniowego desygnatu „angry” (zły). Ostatni rozdział rozprawy doktorskiej, pt. „Pochodzenie oraz synkretyzm angielskiego desygnatu „sad” (smutny) – zarys.” ukazuje analizę synkretyzmu desygnatu „sad” i jego gradacyjne przejście w złożoną polisemiczność językową.
The main objectives of the doctoral dissertation entitled “The Evolution of Semantic Fields of English Adjectives Describing Emotions on the Grounds of Historical Linguistics and Anthropolinguistics.” are to contribute another approach to the linguistic debate concerning the relations among language, culture, and the perception of the world through the prism of the evolution of semantic fields of English adjectives describing emotions. The additional areas of analyses encompass: (1) the characteristics of contemporary linguistics, (2) criticism of the vivid traces of making the issue of origin of language (or languages) the ideological one, and (3) multi-facetedness of linguistic research resulting in numerous scientific subdisciplines. To provide the reader with the example of such a contemporary, current phenomenon the author of the dissertation elaborates on Anthropolinguistics, the linguistic subdiscipline established in 2004 in Białystok, Poland. There are five, key objectives of the dissertation: (1) acceptance of the dynamic character and anthropological approach in the field of linguistic research, (2) approval of evolutionary features of language (and languages), (3) providing the explanatory notes of “Anthropolinguistics” and compilation of linguistic disciplines associated with the analyses of “language – mind” relations, (4) providing the complexity of semantic analyses of adjectival semantic fields, (5) evolutionary analyses of concepts “happy” and “angry” in the English language.

Praca koncentruje się na analizie sześciu purytańskich ego-dokumentów. Podstawowym pytaniem badawczym jest w jaki sposób emocjonalne reakcje na różne aspekty ojcostwa zostały wyrażone w purytańskich pamiętnikach i autobiografiach oraz jaki wpływ miała na to formacja religijna autorów. W pracy wykorzystano koncepcję wspólnot emocjonalnych Barbary Rosenwein jako narzędzie analityczne. Charakterystyczne jest to, że autorzy analizowanych tekstów źródłowych konsekwentnie posługiwali się słownictwem religijnym, aby wyrazić swoją radość i niepokój, emocje zarówno pozytywne, jak i negatywne. Nawet te najtrudniejsze, przejawiające się apatią, milczeniem lub przeciwnie, pisarską nadpobudliwością, doświadczane były w odniesieniu do Boga i werbalizowane w języku wiary. Podobieństwa między rozważanymi tekstami, ujawnione w dyskursywnej warstwie doświadczenia ojcostwa, wskazują na przynależność autorów do emocjonalnej wspólnoty gorliwych protestantów. Ich purytańska tożsamość przejawiała się wyraźnie w języku, w którym opisywali swoje życie.
The thesis concentrates on the analysis of six Puritan ego-documents. The thesis addresses the question of how emotional responses to various aspects of fatherhood were expressed in Puritan self-writing and how this expression was affected by the authors’ religious formation. The topic is approached from the constructivist standpoint and uses Barbara Rosenwein’s concept of emotional communities as an analytical tool. Characteristically, the authors were consistent in their use of religious vocabulary to verbalize their joy and anxiety they experienced, emotions of positive as well as negative valence. Even the most difficult ones, manifested by apathy, silence or, on the contrary, nervous hyperactivity, were experienced in relation to God and verbalized in the language of faith. Similarities between the texts under consideration, revealed in the discursive treatment of the experience of fatherhood, indicate the authors’ membership of an emotional community of zealous Protestants. Their Puritan identity clearly manifested itself in the language in which they narrated their lives.
