O trabalho que se apresenta procurava identificar as emoções e os sentimentos presentes nas experiências de aprendizagem dos estudantes que frequentam o ensino superior considerando o ano de frequência e o género. Para realizar o estudo recorremos ao Inventário de Emoções e Sentimentos nas Experiências de Aprendizagem (IESEA) que foi administrado a 100 estudantes do 1º e 3º ano de um curso de licenciatura de uma universidade localizada no interior de Portugal, maioritariamente do sexo feminino e com idades compreendidas entre 18 e 36 anos. No decorrer das investigações sobre as emoções relacionadas com a aprendizagem, Pekrun utiliza o termo emoções de desempenho para descrever as emoções vividas em contextos académicos (e.g., instruções na sala de aula, tarefas, exames, estudo e trabalhos de casa (Pekrun, 2000, 2006; Pekrun et al., 2002).
