Abstract:
The orientation of decision making is actually supported also by one’s experience, while attitudes toward experience itself are related to one’s emotional maturity. Emotional maturity is a valuable capital. People who have more mature emotions will be able to choose what is best and what they must avoid. The emotional maturity of an employee can be seen from the way he faces challenges, how his responsibilities towards work, and how his life views the world, so that the difficulties faced in making a decision will be lighter than employees who have lower emotional maturity. Emotional maturity is characterized by how conflicts are solved, and how difficulties are handled. People who are adults, in this case are emotionally mature, see their difficulties not as catastrophe, but as challenges, so that when he is faced with a situation where he has to choose an alternative offered to him, armed with the knowledge and experience he has it will be easier to make decisions that are considered most appropriate. He is willing to take risks, but still based on the most appropriate estimates that can be obtained.

Abstract:
From experience of working with gifted children we could observe a gap between their intellectual and emotional functions. The purpose of this study was to explore the inter-relationships between emotional maturity and intelligence in gifted children. Emotional maturity is defined as the strength and courage to actualize individual abilities within the frame of social demands. Our hypothesis was that emotional maturity would have an affect on creativity, independent of intelligence. In the study, 221 children participated, between the ages of 9–13. All were measured for emotional maturity, intelligence and creativity. Results showed an effect of emotional maturity on creativity, as well as an effect of intelligence. Among the highly intelligent group, emotionally mature children were more creative. These results demonstrate that giftedness is conditioned not only by high intelligence but that emotional maturity has its share in it, and their interaction facilitates creative behavior — the actualization of the whole personality.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of emotional maturity and the level of aggression at the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Where the subjects we are looking for ourselves from the 2021 class of psychology faculty students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Aggression Behavior itself is an act which aims to hurt someone either psychologically or physically. This aggression behavior is carried out by people who do not have emotional maturity where they often experience certain emotions such as angry emotions. The research method we conducted was a quantitative method using a cross sectional design. The sample we took amounted to 33 respondents from the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The correlation coefficient (r) is 0.115 with a significance of 0.524. Variable X to variable Y has a correlation with the degree of relationship, namely moderate correlation and the form of the relationship is positive because p < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). So it can be concluded that emotional maturity and aggression have a strong correlation. This research is reinforced by research conducted that there is a negative and significant relationship between emotional maturity and aggression behavior of residents of the Ayu Sempaja Samarinda Dormitory Complex, meaning that the lower the emotional maturity of dormitory residents, the higher the aggressive behavior they have. Thus it can also be concluded that the hypothesis (H1) proposed in this study can be accepted.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional development and boarding students' conduct and students who live with their parents. Students from UINSU MEDAN served as the study's subjects. The information was gathered using assessments of behavioral and emotional maturity. Data is examined in terms of product moment. The two variables have a rxy=-0.906 correlation coefficient with a p=0.000 (p0.01) value. This implies that there is a strong inverse relationship between emotional development and these actions. Aggressive conduct can decrease as emotional maturity increases, but it can also increase as emotional immaturity decreases. 82% of people are emotionally mature enough to behave aggressively.

Abstract:
No matter how loving parents may be, the demands their expectations lay on their children result in an emotional pressure that goes unnoticed until, in most cases, it is too late and the damage to emotional maturity and the negative effect on personality has already occurred. Such emotional neglect is mostly unintentional. The life of nineteenth century American poet, Emily Dickinson, is an example of how the internalization of parental expectations and childhood emotional neglect can affect emotional maturity and adult behaviour. “Introvert” and “reclusive” are the two words commonly used to refer to her. However, this paper focuses not on what she was, but why she was so. In this paper, I examine a number of Dickinson’s letters to explore her experience of life within a “loving” home full of parental expectations which exerted unintentional pressure on her emotions and made her the socially withdrawn person she ultimately became. For this purpose, I base my discussion on the psychoanalytic feminism of Nancy J. Chodorow and Jessica Benjamin to show how Dickinson’s subjectivity is negatively influenced by patriarchal dominance represented within the family by her father and reinforced by her emotionally absent mother.

Abstract:
In this article, I explore how 28 class-advantaged, young “emerging” adult women and men in the USA utilize understandings of their own intimate lives to make sense of themselves as adults in progress. Young adults who envision normative relationship futures (monogamous marriage) use a cultural story of coming to realize the importance of emotional monogamy over sex in order to make sense of themselves as becoming mature (getting closer to marriage). However, women’s accounts reveal difficulty in the implementation of this dominant understanding in their own lives. Since women are always expected to be naturally emotional, regardless of age or personal preferences, realizing the importance of emotions in relationships does not apply well to their experiences. In an attempt to reconcile the conflict between gender and the dominant cultural story, women simultaneously police other women’s sexual activity and frame their own casual sex experiences in emotional terms. Dominant understandings of coming to maturity through realizing the importance of emotions work best for men only, leaving questions as to how women might make sense of themselves as mature (or not) through their relationships.

Abstract:
This article presents theoretical and methodological basis for studying the phenomena of emotional intelligence and emotional maturity in foreign and Russian psychology including the status of research done by prison psychologists. The article also provides data of our research on determination and psychodynamics of emotional intelligence, as well as transformation of other personality characteristics in 220 female convicts at various stages of serving their sentence in penal correction colonies in five regions of Russia. The findings of the psychodiagnostics indicate insufficient levels of emotional intelligence and reveals the prison-specific subcultural manifestation of its components in the examined inmates, who at the same time possess underdeveloped compensatory personality resources. Cluster analysis made it possible to isolate the predominant types of convicted women: "emotionally impulsive" and "emotionally rigid" whose contrasting psychological characteristics must be taken into account when developing individual correctional and group-related correctional and developmental programs. In order to improve female convicts' emotional maturity, a series of measures of legal-institutional and correction- and development-related character has been substantiated.
