Abstract:
Entertainment programs in the television are currently being criticized by the public. Not only criticism, even some entertainment programs on television received reprimands from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia-KPI). This is due to many entertainment programs that use jokes that exceed the limits of reasonableness. Therefore, this study aims to describe how ethics in entertainment programs on television stations, as well as the effects that can be caused to the public on quality and ethical entertainment programs. In this case, research on the NET TV station was emphasized in the Waktu Indonesia Bercanda program. This research is important, considering that many entertainment programs are consumed by the public through television media. On NET TV itself, the entertainment program presented reaches 50% of all existing program. Waktu Indonesia Bercanda is a TV program that is categorized as an entertainment program in the form of a quiz show and dexterity in thinking. Waktu Indonesia Bercanda also performed the program casually and inserted with their typical jokes, but still ethical. Ethics here is not to criticize, to hurt the hearts and physicalities of others and things that have other negative meanings.

Abstract:
Popular factual entertainment has changed the face of broadcasting in Australia. Where once dramas, long-running serials and current affairs programs filled prime-time scehdules, we now have docu-soaps such as Popstars, and reality gameshows like Big Brother. While some have expressed concern about this shift to light entertainment in factual programming, it can be argued that such programs have brought a new audience to non-fiction and revitalised debates concerning the real. This paper examines some of the current trends in popular factual entertainment programming, considers their innovations and explores why they are so compelling.

Abstract:
This research work shows how the different criteria applied in hybrid programs, which are a mixture of journalistic and entertainment programs, affect Peruvian open signal television to include those of a police nature within its topics. The elements studied for the analysis are their structure, the role of the hosts and panelists, the journalistic resources, the language used and the television resources. The cases to be studied were “Camilita” on the Válgame program broadcast in Latin America in March 2020, “Angie Jibaja” on Magaly Tv La Firme on ATV in March 2020 and “Thomas Restobar” on La Banda del Chino on América TV in August 2020. Through the observation and application of the concepts, it was possible to conclude that those elements, in some cases, do affect the development of programs by touching on police issues.

Why do certain types of companies, goods, services survive and others do not. Why does one set continuously reinvent themselves and others wither away and die? Why does Cisco continue to provide exciting and innovative networking products, while companies like Cabletron die? Several academics believe that a dominant factor is that winners are able to create robust and effective product platforms. These platforms are able to cater to changing customer needs. On the winning side, the platform leader is effectively able to manage the various conflicts that are present in the platform ecosystem. On the loosing team, often there is no platform leader!I believe that effective platform leadership, platform architecture play a key role in product success. In this thesis, I plan to compare two large platforms. These are the IPTV platform and the conventional cable based TV platform. Both are competing with each other to provide similar services to the same customer set. I have coined the term 'Mega Platform" to describe such large platforms. . As part of this comparison I will develop a set of metrics or comparison points which will help compare the two competing platforms. Please note that the purpose of this thesis is not to prove that there is a strong correlation between platform success and market success.

Abstract:

Today, video games are mostly played at home while alone or together with friends. Multiplayer games are played by sharing a single screen or meeting up online to play against others. Within the MOOSES (Multiplayer On One Screen Entertainment System) project we seek to create a set of games for the new gaming paradigm that allows large numbers of players to share the fun of playing together on a single, large screen. To create games that are playable within the MOOSES context, one has to consider a series of special factors. These include elements of both user interface design, hardware and software architecture. In this study we describe these factors and how they can be handled with respect to making fun games for a large number of players on a single screen. Then, in the final and most important part of the study we describe five games that are suited for the special demands of the MOOSES framework - a war game, a football game, a music game, a survival based game and a quiz game.

Abstract:
Anthropocentric museums are “an important place in public debate, creation and questioning ideas” because they can have a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged or marginalized people. They can also strengthen specific communities and contribute to the creation of fairer societies. The science of Museology together with the science of Special Education and Training (SET) support with the Targeted Individual Structured and Integrated Program for Students with Special Educational needs (TISIPfSEN), in children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SENDs). The purpose of this work was to study museology applications in accordance with the pedagogical tool TISIPfSEN. The main working hypothesis explored access to theatre and entertainment events, museums and archaeological sites of people with SENDs, which is not always an easy process given that they are a heterogeneous group due to their inherent or acquired specificity. The applications also drew pedagogical materials through the charm of the art of theatre and puppetry. In this context, performances were given free of charge through the Kalamata Experimental Stage to children and young people with SENDs, in the city of Kalamata and Sparta. This project led to voluntary application from students of department of history of University of Peloponnese. The results showed that people’s disability does not always mean impotence. Accessibility to museum programs and theatrical events in modern organized societies is possible. The learning process becomes accessible with the pedagogical tool TISIPfSEN to people with special needs. Necessary conditions, knowledge in the SET and the necessary training of all according to universal design. In conclusion, TISIPfSEN museum pedagogical programs facilitate different social groups in approaching, understanding the differential material culture, with alternative forms of communication and learning, given that heterogeneity in nature is a universal phenomenon.

Abstract:
Recently, virtual reality technologies are increasingly being introduced into our lives. The focus of their use is shifting from the entertainment industry to design, healthcare, tourism, architecture, education and more. The advantages of virtual reality technology are especially noticeable in the field of archaeology, as many historical objects have not survived to our time, and their appearance can be reproduced only on the basis of historical sources and archaeological excavations. Most platforms for implementing virtual reality programs are based on game engines that can provide the required level of performance for VR. Such platforms show very good results for architectural objects, which often have many similar elements of simple shapes. Integrating complex objects with unique shapes is usually a problem. In this article, we consider the use of photogrammetric methods to create 3D models of historical objects and the aspects of their integration into a virtual environment based on a game engine. Specifically, aspects such as object resolution and suitable level of detail are discussed. As a case study, such a virtual environment was created for the ancient Trypillia settlement in the territory of Ukraine.

Abstract:
The United Nations Human Rights Council has a powerful role to play in addressing the worst forms of child labour. Accountability mechanisms such as the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) – which work to support Member States to improve their human rights situation – are therefore widely seen as important opportunities to advocate for change. Ahead of Nepal’s third UPR cycle in 2021, the CLARISSA programme met with eight UN Permanent Missions to present recommendations addressing the exploitation of children within Nepal’s adult entertainment sector. This spotlight story shares the programme’s experience in advocacting within this process. It also highlights their approach of providing decision makers with recommendations to the Government of Nepal that were underpinned by the importance of integrating a participatory, adaptive and child-centred approach.

Yatsymirska, Mariya. SOCIAL EXPRESSION IN MULTIMEDIA TEXTS. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, February 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.30970/vjo.2021.49.11072.

Full text
Abstract:
The article investigates functional techniques of extralinguistic expression in multimedia texts; the effectiveness of figurative expressions as a reaction to modern events in Ukraine and their influence on the formation of public opinion is shown. Publications of journalists, broadcasts of media resonators, experts, public figures, politicians, readers are analyzed. The language of the media plays a key role in shaping the worldview of the young political elite in the first place. The essence of each statement is a focused thought that reacts to events in the world or in one’s own country. The most popular platform for mass information and social interaction is, first of all, network journalism, which is characterized by mobility and unlimited time and space. Authors have complete freedom to express their views in direct language, including their own word formation. Phonetic, lexical, phraseological and stylistic means of speech create expression of the text. A figurative word, a good aphorism or proverb, a paraphrased expression, etc. enhance the effectiveness of a multimedia text. This is especially important for headlines that simultaneously inform and influence the views of millions of readers. Given the wide range of issues raised by the Internet as a medium, research in this area is interdisciplinary. The science of information, combining language and social communication, is at the forefront of global interactions. The Internet is an effective source of knowledge and a forum for free thought. Nonlinear texts (hypertexts) – «branching texts or texts that perform actions on request», multimedia texts change the principles of information collection, storage and dissemination, involving billions of readers in the discussion of global issues. Mastering the word is not an easy task if the author of the publication is not well-read, is not deep in the topic, does not know the psychology of the audience for which he writes. Therefore, the study of media broadcasting is an important component of the professional training of future journalists. The functions of the language of the media require the authors to make the right statements and convincing arguments in the text. Journalism education is not only knowledge of imperative and dispositive norms, but also apodictic ones. In practice, this means that there are rules in media creativity that are based on logical necessity. Apodicticity is the first sign of impressive language on the platform of print or electronic media. Social expression is a combination of creative abilities and linguistic competencies that a journalist realizes in his activity. Creative self-expression is realized in a set of many important factors in the media: the choice of topic, convincing arguments, logical presentation of ideas and deep philological education. Linguistic art, in contrast to painting, music, sculpture, accumulates all visual, auditory, tactile and empathic sensations in a universal sign – the word. The choice of the word for the reproduction of sensory and semantic meanings, its competent use in the appropriate context distinguishes the journalist-intellectual from other participants in forums, round tables, analytical or entertainment programs. Expressive speech in the media is a product of the intellect (ability to think) of all those who write on socio-political or economic topics. In the same plane with him – intelligence (awareness, prudence), the first sign of which (according to Ivan Ogienko) is a good knowledge of the language. Intellectual language is an important means of organizing a journalistic text. It, on the one hand, logically conveys the author’s thoughts, and on the other – encourages the reader to reflect and comprehend what is read. The richness of language is accumulated through continuous self-education and interesting communication. Studies of social expression as an important factor influencing the formation of public consciousness should open up new facets of rational and emotional media broadcasting; to trace physical and psychological reactions to communicative mimicry in the media. Speech mimicry as one of the methods of disguise is increasingly becoming a dangerous factor in manipulating the media. Mimicry is an unprincipled adaptation to the surrounding social conditions; one of the most famous examples of an animal characterized by mimicry (change of protective color and shape) is a chameleon. In a figurative sense, chameleons are called adaptive journalists. Observations show that mimicry in politics is to some extent a kind of game that, like every game, is always conditional and artificial.
