Abstract:
ABSTRACTThe Risks Analysis consists of the systematic exam of an industrial installation (project or existent) to identify the present risks in the system and to form opinion about potentially dangerous occurrences and its possible consequences. There are two types of risks analysis: the qualitative analysis and the quantitative. The qualitative analysis studies all the possible existent risks of the place, and it relates these risks in agreement with the probability of such accidents happen and with the coming consequences of such accidents. The risks that present high probability of happening and that cause great damages to the structure or the people are analyzed, then, in a quantitative way.Two sceneries were specified for the use of quantitative techniques. The studied sceneries are related with the existent risks in the storage of gasoline in drums stored in the Laboratory of Analysis of Fuels of UFPR / ANP. The models associated to the sceneries in studies were obtained of the literature. The studied sceneries were Fire on pools and Unconfined Explosion. For each studied scenery it was possible to evaluate the consequences of material, humans and environmental damages associated to the accidents. The results show that in case of the fire in pool, for a distance of 61.35 m and 42.8 m starting from the center of the flame, burns happen in third degree and first degree, respectively, in people that are not protected and, for the unconfined explosion the results show that for a distance of 15.43 m of the center of the explosion a person has 90% of chance of having tympanum rupture, and for a distance of 9.5 m of the center of the explosion a person has 99% of chance of dying.

Abstract:
This study aimed to determine the effect of self-reliance, learning style and learning enviroment for accounting achievement in grade X of SMK PGRI 3 Sidoarjo for academic years 2013/2014. Sample was 107 students selected by using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaires and documentation method. The method of analysis in this study was a correlation research with quantitative approach analysis, multiple linear regressions. According to analysys and results showed there is a significant effect between : self-reliance to the student learning results, there is a significant effect between students learning style to the student learning results, there is a significant effect between learning environment to the student learning results, and there is a simultaneous effect between self reliance learning style and learning environment to the learning results on X grade of accounting students in SMK PGRI 3 Sidoarjo no particial effect on self-reliance to achievement of accounting, there is no particial effect on learning style to achievement of accounting, there is no particial effect on learning enviromentto achievement of accounting, and there are no simultaneous effect on self-reliance, learning style and learning enviroment on the learning achievement of accounting

La creciente y preocupante crisis ambiental no solo cuestiona la relacion del ser humano con la naturaleza, sino que a su vez evidencia el fracaso de la perspectiva antropocentrista de proteger el medio ambiente. Frente a esta realidad empiezan a aflorar timidos, pero importantes cambios juridicos en diferentes sistemas normativos, que reorientan la proteccion ambiental, reconociendo la Naturaleza como persona juridica y atribuyendole derechos exigibles ante cualquier otro sujeto de derecho. Esta perspectiva abre, sin lugar a dudas, una nueva etapa en la evolucion del Derecho ambiental, que deja como referencia imprescindible la obra heredada de los profesores Martin Mateo y Demetrio Loperena Rota. ABSTRACT: Enviroment as a legal right worthy of protection to the service of the human welfare has reinforced human rights and has even allowed the arising of new rights, as the right to a healty enviroment acknowledged in many Constitutions of the world. Nevertheless, enviromental deterioration has revealed the insufficiency of legal instruments to prevent, protect and restore sorroundings. The growing and worrying enviromental crisis does not only call into question the relationship of human beings with nature but also the failure of protecting enviroment froom a human centered perspective. In from of that reality, timids but important legal changes are appearing in different normative systems that reorientate the enviromental protection recognizing Nature as a legal person with enforceable rights vis-a-vis any other individual subject to the law. This approach undoubtely opens a new stage in the evolution of enviromental law which leaves as a essential reference the inherited work of professors Martin Mateo and Demetrio Loperena Rota.

In order to protect enviroment and save energy consciously. China began to levy taxes for enviromental conservation. At present, there exists two ways to levy tax, one depends on the pollution degree of each enterprise in the chain, the other mostly lies on the profit. Both ways are of one-sidedness and lack of fair because they do not make scientific analysis to the whole industry chain.For enterprises in the energy industry chain, this paper think the best way is to pay taxes cooperatively.It can ensure seamless joint of chains and obtain resonable profit assignment.Based on game theory,this article established a model of tax assignment for enviromental conservation by means of Shapley value method.Furthermore,the paper gave out an example to prove the validity of the model.Finally, the paper put forward a modified method based on venture .

Abstract:
Soil tillage is one of the most important agrotechnological processes having huge influence on the sowing, germination, growing, yield and quality of cultivated plants. At the same time soil tillage is one of the most expensive and energy consuming agrotechnological processes of plant cultivation. The conventional tillage technologies using mouldboard and intensive cultivation machinery have both a positive impact on the preparation of the seedbed for plants and a negative impact as they are rather detrimental to the environment, soil, its properties, biodiversity, pollution of water bodies, etc. During the conventional soil tillage the crop residues of the last yield are incorporated into the deeper layers of the soil and the soil surface is not covered. Such soils are much susceptible to the environmental forces and are easier disturbed by wind and water erosion. Every year around 6 mio ha of fertile soil areas are lost due to inappropriate agricultural activities and changing environmental conditions. Another very important factor is that deep ploughing is an unproductive soil tillage method pertaining to huge time and energy consumption. At the same time multiplex driving of heavy weight agricultural machinery over the soil results in negative influence on its peoperties as well as consuming of huge amounts of diesel fuel results in high pollution of the environment with the greenhouse gas. Žemės dirbimas yra vienas svarbiausių agrotechnologinių procesų, turinčių labai didelę įtaką kultūrinių augalų sėjai, sudygimui, augimui, derliui ir jo kokybei. Tuo pačiu žemės dirbimas yra ir vienas iš brangiausių ir energijai imliausių kultūrinių augalų auginimo agrotechnologinių procesų. Įprastinio žemės dirbimo technologijos, kuriose naudojamos verstuvinės ir intensyviai dirvą purenantys žemės dirbimo agregatai, greta teigiamo poveikio augalų sėklų guoliavietės paruošimui, yra pakankamai žalingos aplinkai, dirvai, jos savybėms, biologinei įvairovei, vandens telkinių taršai ir t.t. Įprastinio žemės dirbimo metu augalinės praėjusio derliaus liekanos yra įterpiamos į gilesnius dirvos sluoksnius ir dirvos paviršius lieka neuždengtas. Tokios dirvos yra žymiai jautresnės aplinkos veiksniams ir lengviau pažeidžiamos vėjo ir vandens erozijos. Kiekvienais metais, pasaulyje, dėl netinkamos žemės ūkio veiklos ir kintančių aplinkos sąlygų prarandama apie 6 mln. ha derlingų dirvos plotų. Abstract:
This thesis aimed to develop deformable a virtual terrain which a vehicle can move in and interact with in a realistic manner. The theory used to calculate how the terrain influences the vehicle is based on terramechanics. The terrain is divided into two separate parts, one for visualization and one for physical collisions. Deformations of the graphical layer is calculated on the GPU using compute shader programming. The result of the thesis include a tech demo with a small landscape where an alternate terrain vehicle can deform the terrain as it moves around. The method for deforming the graphical layer is made in such a way so that the computational time does not increase as the size of the terrain does, making the method applicable to actual games.

INSTITUTO MILITAR DE ENGENHARIA
Este trabalho de tese trata do emprego de arranjos de antenas em ambientes de comunicação móvel,dando-se ênfase ao canal de dados reverso do Sistema IS-95. Propõe-se dois estimadores: um para a direção de chegada dos sinais e outro para outros dados. Inicialmente é apresentado um estudo sobre arranjos de antenas e dos principais detalhes do sistema IS-95,especialmente a multiplicidade de acesso via divisão por códigos (CDMA).Aborda-se em seguida o problema da estimação da direção da chegada(DOA), onde se constata que os algoritmos mais conhecidos na literarura especializada, tais como Atraso-e-Soma, Capon, MUSIC e ESPRIT, não apresentam desempenho satisfatório quando empregados em ambiente CDMA. Por isso, propõe-se uma versão do método de estimação de máxima verossimilhança (ML) que utiliza a técnica denominada de EM (-Expectation Maximization-).Seu emprego permitir fracionar o problema de otimização multidimensional gerado pelo estimador ML, em últimas estimações de menor dimensão,simplificando sobremaneira a solução. O estimador proposto além da DOA,permite ainda estimar a atenuação e a defasagem dos sinais incidentes. Através de simulações, constata-se que este estimador EM apresenta um desempenho bastante satisfatório.Para tornar mais completa a análise, faz-se ainda uma comparação da variância do erro na estimação da DOA comolimitante de Cramér-Rao. Em presença de multipercursos, propõe-se quatro versões de um estimador de dados, sendo que uma delas utiliza a estrutura de treliça e objetiva a decisão sequencial dos dados. O desenvolvimento de tais estimadores faz uso de bases de espaços vetoriais para representar as funções de walsh, sendo que as operações aritméticas convencionais . Através de simulações constata-se que essas versões apresentam diferentes relações entre de desempenho e custo computacional, o que permite flexibilidade na adequação do seu emprego.
This thesis deals with antenna arrays when used in mobile communication environment, but the emphasis is on the reverse data link of IS-95. Two estimators are proposed: one for the direction-of-arrival (DOA) and other for the data. Initially, study of the antenna arrays is presented together with the main details of the IS-95 System, especially the details related to the code division multiple access (CDMA). After that, the problem of dirction- of-arrival estimation is discussed. It is shown that mostly of the known estimators, such as Delay-and-Sum, Capon, MUSIC and ESPRIT, do not offer reasonable performance when used in CDMA environment. Therefore, a new Maximum- Likelihood (ML) method is proposed using the so-called Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. The main advantage of using such approach is due to the fact that multidimensional optimization required by ML estimation can be split into several problems of lower dimension, thus simplifying the solution. The proposed estimator, besides the DOA estimation, also allows the estimation of attenuation and phase shift of the arriving signals. Simulations show that EM-estimator offers a fair performance when compared to other methods. In order to properly access the statistical significance of this study, the of DOA-estimation erro´s variance is compared with the Cramér-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB). Under a multipath environment, four versions of a data estimator are proposed, and one of them do employ trellis. In the development of such estimators, vector basis are used to represent the Walsh functions and the module-2 operations are replaced by convenient ordinary arithmetic operations. By means of simulation, it is shown that these versions present different levels of performance and computational cost thus allowing to choose the method according to the environmentn conditions.
Este trabajo de tese trata del empleo de arreglos de antenas en ambientes de comunicación móvil, con énfasis en el canal de datos reverso del Sistema IS-95. Se proponen dos estimadores: uno para la dirección de llegada de las señales y otro para el resto de los datos. Inicialmente se presenta un estudio sobre arreglos de antenas y los principales detalles del sistema IS-95,especialmente la multiplicidad de acceso vía división por códigos (CDMA). Se aborda el problema de la estimación de la dirección de llegada(DOA), donde se constata que los algoritmos más conocidos en la literarura especializada, tales como Atraso-y-Suma, Capon, MUSIC y ESPRIT, no tiene un desempeño satisfactorio cuando son utilizados en ambiente CDMA. Por eso, se propone una versión del método de estimación de máxima verosimilitud(ML) que utiliza la técnica denominada de EM (-Expectation Maximization-).Su empleo permite fraccionar el problema de optimización multidimensional generado por el estimador ML, en estimaciones de menor dimensión,simplificando la solución. El estimador propuesto, además de la DOA, permite estimar la atenuación y el defasaje de las señales incidentes. A través de simulaciones, se constata que el estimador EM tiene un desempeño bastante satisfactorio. Para un análisis más completo se comparan las varianza del error en la estimación de la DOA como límite de Cramér-Rao. En presencia de multitrayectoria, se proponen cuatro versiones de un estimador de datos, donde una de ellas utiliza la extructura de celosía y objetiva la decisión secuencial de los datos. El desarrollo de tales estimadores utiliza bases de espacios vectoriales para representar las funciones de walsh, con las operaciones aritméticas convencionales . A través de simulaciones se observa que esas versiones presentan diferentes relaciones entre de desempeño y el costo computacional, que permite flexibilidad en la adecuación de su empleo.

This study aims to determine whether pupils, students and teachers at various music schools feel that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres, and if this has an impact on the individual level. The survey was conducted with a digital survey that was e-mailed to junior/high schools with music profile in the Stockholm area and to all the teachers and students at the Royal College of music in Stockholm (KMH). Due to low participation by students and teachers from the junior/high schools the students and teachers of KMH became the main object of the study. The results shows that a majority of the main group of this study feels that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres. The study also shows that half of the participants believe that the difference in status affects them on an individual level. The discussion that follows the results focuses on the difference in status as a result of the education structure and therefore the normative structure of the school.

Abstract:
This thesis outlines a research project that investigated the theory and practice of employment relations in a large Australian company, Telstra. The thesis takes its point of departure from the literature that has contended that there has been a 'transformation' of American industrial relations (Kochan et al., 1986). The literature review covers the debates that have developed around these authors' contentions and also coverage of literature that is germane to the research project in the areas of public sector reform and privatisation and employee participation in organisational governance. The research findings are presented in a case study divided into two pm1s. The first of these parts investigates the context of employment relations at Telstra by investigating the policy environment and technological change to which Telstra has been subject. The second case presents the results of research into the conduct of employment relations at Telstra. The research finds that the environment has had a strong impact on employment relations outcomes throughout Telstra's history. Environmental factors have constrained performance to such an extent that moves to a more consultative and pm1icipative approach to industrial relations within the firm have, for the most part, been difficult to implement and have not met expectations.

Abstract:
This thesis describes the results of research into provision of Production Activity Control (PAC) in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems for manufacture of discrete parts. The role and environment of PAC systems is described, against the background of development of the discrete parts manufacturing industry. Strategies and architectures for building PAC systems are reviewed, in terms of the goals of PAC systems, and the categorisation of existing design approaches. A novel design for a PAC system is presented. A model of manufacturing is described upon which the system design is based, and which defines the applicability of the proposed system. The heterarchical, data-driven system architecture is explained, and the way in which the system's design supports the various aspect of PAC functionality is described. A simple example is presented to illustrate the workings of the system as it accepts production orders and controls production. An experimental implementation of the system is described, and the results discussed. Recommendations for future implementations are'made in further discussion, stemming from the experiences of this experimentation, and from consideration of wider issues in the development of manufacturing technology. The thesis concludes with a brief statement of achiever nts, an'' some recommendations for directions of further research.
