Abstract:
Environmental tobacco smoke (ETS), also known as second-hand smoke (SHS), is a complex mixture of chemicals generated during the burning and smoking of tobacco products. Smoking has become the most important indoor air pollutant source in China in terms of human health. The paper firstly analyzed the health effects of environmental tobacco smoke, the conditions of the environmental tobacco smoke exposure in recent years, and environmental impact of environmental tobacco smoke. The exposure to ETS that has influence on human heath, specially the women and children is the important risk factor.

Environmental issues constitute continuous concern for governments, societies and business organizations. Green supply chain management(GSCM) emerged as a new approach that extends environmental responsibility of organizations throughout their entire supply chain managements. In this paper, we first discuss the definitions of environmental sustainability and GSCM as well as the important differences between GSCM and SCM, then some latest research progresses on the deep relations between environmental sustainability and GSCM are briefly reviewed. Finally, possible future developments of green p

Erosion corrosion and environmental chamber corrosion studies conducted on plasma sprayed samples from three different spray dried and densified nanopowders showed good resistance to corrosion. A dense, uniform and even distribution of splats and small number of microvoids and pores offered a high resistance to erosion-corrosion in sodium chloride polystyrene slurry. The coatings offer a high resistance in salt spray chamber environment.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) represents a critical threat to human, animal, and environmental health, challenging global efforts to maintain sustainable ecosystems and public health systems. In this review, the complex, cross-disciplinary issues of AMR are explored within the framework of planetary health, emphasizing the interconnectedness of human and veterinary medicine with broader environmental and social systems. Specifically, it addresses the social, economic, environmental, and health dimensions of AMR under the planetary health framework. The social aspects consider how public aware

Abstract The emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), including clinically relevant antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, genetic resistance elements, and antibiotic residues, presents a significant threat to human health. Reducing the incidence of infection by improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is one of five objectives in the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Action Plan on AMR. In September 2019, WHO and the Health-Related Water Microbiology specialist group (HRWM-SG) of the International Water Association (IWA) organized its third workshop on AMR, focusing on

The paper develops a two-state-variable environmental growth model to derive the optimal growth path for the relationship between pollution and economic growth, which is used to verify the existence of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis. It is found that the theoretical outcomes imply the existence of the EKC relationship between environmental degradation and economic growth, which is dependent on the combining effects of the pollution intensity, abatement technology of pollution emission, production technology, and the return rate of capital stock.
