Quantifying the diversity and distribution of the world’s biota in both space and time is a fundamental goal of modern biology, however ecologists also face the added pressure of understanding how species may respond to anthropogenically driven environmental changes. The relationship between species distributions and the environment can be captured in Environmental Niche Models (ENM’s), which create mathematical models linking species occurrences to ecological factors at a specific point in time. Whilst this approach is very useful, it can be improved by the incorporation of phylogenetic data

The analytical framework viewed the Village House Block demonstration project and EnSURE transnational research collaboration as important facilitators to create the necessary conditions for governing innovation during the renovation of the outdated building stock located in the 3rd District Municipality of Budapest, Hungary. These necessary conditions were articulated in accordance with the three internal pro

Tumour necrosis has long been associated with poor prognosis and reduced survival in cancer. Hypotheses to explain this include the idea that as aggressive tumours tend to grow rapidly, they outgrow their blood supply leading to areas of hypoxia and subsequently necrosis. However whilst this and similar hypotheses have been put forward to explain the association, the biological significance of the cells which make up necrotic tissue has been largely ignored. This stems from the belief that because a tumour is more aggressive and fast growing it develops areas of necrosis, rather than, the tumo
