Abstract:
The article examines the value orientations of ethnophor (a representative of a certain ethnic culture and national mentality) based on a theoretical analysis of foreign and domestic research. During the epoch of digitalisation, it is impossible to leave out the problems of ethnos itself, its ethno-cultural peculiarities, socialization, national mentality, professional and career value orientations of Caucasian women. The article reveals the designation of a woman of the North Caucasus ethnic group, values, the national way of family relations. It is emphasized that the contemporary socio-economic reality makes its own adjustments during the period of digitalization despite the traditional culture and ethno standards. In the empirical part of the study, the hypothesis was tested: being the most important part of the social environment, ethnic culture despite the ethno value’s digitalization is formed due to ethnos’s historical development and along with the preservation of ethnic mentality and ethnic character of the women ethnophors, influences the value orientations including the women’s career orientation. The study involved 100 women of different nationalities of North Caucasus aged 30 to 45 years, different fields of activity: teachers, psychologists, officials, trade workers, service providers. The set of research methods included the concept “Career Anchors” by E. Schein, the principles of the diagnosis of value orientations in a career, the translation and adaptation by V.A. Chiker, V.E. Vinokurova, projective methods for determining career orientations, the principle “Value orientations” (M. Rokich), the Questionnaire of ethno value orientations (R.R. Nakochova). The results of the study confirm the hypothesis and indicate that the ethno values are a core element in the value orientation system even during the era of digitalization, which becomes apparent concerning social situation, the capability to incarnate personal goals and determines the level of intergroup acceptance and recognition of career orientations of Caucasian women.

Abstract:
The present study develops and validates a German and Russian scale of proenvironmental value orientation. Proenvironmental value orientation is conceptualized as a four-dimensional construct, entailing egocentric, ecocentric, and anthropocentric value orientations as well as environmental apathy. The first stage of the research is an expert test of indicator content validity. In a subsequent step, the authors provide evidence of internal consistency for a student sample (N = 223) and for the structural equivalence and criterion validity for a representative sample (N = 430). The structure of proenvironmental value orientation appears to be largely equivalent in both cultures, though the behavioral relevance of the dimensions differs. In the Russian sample, proenvironmental behavioral intention correlates with any of the four dimensions, whereas in Germany, anthropocentric value orientation does not relate to behavioral intention.

Environmental beliefs, intentions, and behaviors can be derived from three types of values, namely, egoistic, altruistic, and biospheric. Consequently, the understanding of tourists’ value orientations and their association with environmental concern is crucial for improving productive strategies in the management of natural resources and protected areas. This study aims to scrutinize the priorities of tripartite value orientation between national (Malaysian) and international tourists (mostly European), and to investigate the contribution of these three value orientations to tourists’ environmental concern. Results disclose that Malaysian tourists valorize egoistic values more than tourists from Europe and other developed countries and are thus less concerned about the environment compared with their international counterparts. Furthermore, egoistic values have a strong negative relationship with environmental concern, whereas altruistic and biospheric values are positively related to this variable.

Abstract:
SUMMARYSpecies and ecosystems are under constant pressure from a rapidly-growing human population. Human tolerance of carnivores, including the willingness to live in areas with these predators, is key to the success of large carnivore conservation. In the Scandinavian Peninsula, large carnivore populations conflict with human activity; low tolerance among local people may lead to illegal hunting. A survey of 2521 Scandinavian respondents to measure environmental value orientation, using the new environmental paradigm (NEP) scale and attitudes toward large carnivores, revealed attitudes towards the presence of carnivores were not related to carnivore abundance. Nor was there a significant relationship between environmental value orientation and personal experiences with loss of domestic sheep or hunting dogs. Environmental values were mainly explained by country differences; Swedes had a more ecocentric value orientation than Norwegians. Significantly more Norwegians (45 %) than Swedes (19 %) responded that there were too many carnivores in their country. Historic differences in how government is perceived between Norway and Sweden may result in different attitudes towards illegal hunting and towards carnivores. Specifically, Norwegians may hold a more anthropocentric view, based on a suspicion of central authorities, whereas Swedes may hold a more ecocentric view.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study is to add a reliable factor that can contribute theoretically and methodologically to explain prosocial and proself behaviors. The study also signifies that green advertising approaches enable the consumer to develop an intention for green purchases. The basic idea is to investigate consumer social orientations and align them with green advertising initiatives to elicit the desired response as green purchase to manifest environmentally conscious behavior. Design/methodology/approach The empirical analysis is based on data collection through questionnaires. Data is analyzed through structural equation modeling to assess the relationship of constructs. Findings The results of the study are empirically drawn through the measurement of relationships among consumer skepticism and the effectiveness of green advertising initiatives. Mediation of proself and prosocial orientation exists for public self-awareness but does not exist for benefit distance. Consumer skepticism moderates the relationship between prosocial orientation and green advertising effectiveness (GAE) but has no moderation between proself orientation and GAE. Originality/value The limitation of conventional prosocial theory does not explain the environmental behaviors driven by proself orientations. Hence, the addition of factors such as public awareness and social benefit distance coupled with signaling theory with foundations on theory of planned behavior and norm activation model to explain environmental conservation add an element of originality to the existing literature. Contribution to Impact The contribution of this study is the incorporation of social orientations as the antecedent for consumer behavior in an environmental context particularly as a response to green advertising initiatives to purchase green products. The use of theory of planned behavior in conjunction with the norm activation model and signaling theory adds to the literary bank.

Landscape is people’s evaluation of the environment which is better and more meaningful to visit. Therefore, a landscape must have a good environment. Landscape exists in nature as well as in cities. Every corner of a city can be a landscape. Its connection with the city and the citizens is inseparable. However, due to the acceleration of urbanization, there are still many problems in the urban environment. To solve these problems perfectly, we should work from the aesthetic value and planning orientation of the landscape. Therefore, this paper discusses and analyzes the problems of urban environment and how to use the aesthetic value and orientation to construct urban environmental landscape.

Abstract:
With ecological crises remaining at the forefront of public concern it is now more important than ever to develop connections between human beings and the natural world. Consequently, environmental education programs have included values in their objectives in an effort to stimulate appreciation for and dedication to maintaining the health of the planet.<br>This case study examines the values and values education approaches implicit in the Fort Whyte Centre for Environmental Education in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Based on the theoretical framework of both values education and environmental education, analysis revealed that embedded in the program are the values of respect, appreciation and care-taking. Furthermore, it indicates that early childhood experiences in nature are integral in sustained dedication to the environment. Finally, it was apparent that ingrained in the strategies employed by the facility are elements of values education models.<br>Outlining values in program objectives ensures that these beliefs are a central focus of the lessons. Concurrently, teacher training programs must directly teach values education approaches with reference to environmental education. Ecological dilemmas are moral-ethical issues and must be dealt with as such. By neglecting to adequately prepare instructors to deal with these issues programs cannot achieve their objectives. Environmental value systems cannot be developed unless programs are specifically designed to achieve this goal.

Abstract:
As consumers seek social status through displays of mindful consumption, it becomes common to observe a new type of environmentally responsible but conspicuous behavior called conspicuous conservation. Intentionally engaging in environmental activities to show off your `greenness' or over-spending on green products to display your ability to support environmental causes is an example of conspicuous conservation. Given the recent consumer trend involved in green consumption, the study begins with the question of whether consumers' value orientations explain their environmentally conscious behaviors, including their responses to environmental claims in advertising and intentions to purchase a green product. Based on theoretical premises, the study hypothesizes that consumers driven by self-enhancement (proself) values are more likely to respond to a green product whose consumption is primarily seen in public, promoting strong public self-awareness, rather than a product whose consumption is mainly in private and proself-oriented consumers are more likely to respond to green claims that bring immediate benefits than distant and uncertain benefits to the environment. The results of the online experiment confirm that there is a main effect of social value orientations on consumers' environmentally conscious behavior, including attitudinal and behavioral responses regarding green advertising and green products. Specifically, public self-awareness is a significant moderator, indicating proself-oriented consumers generally show less favorable attitude and behavioral responses with regard to green advertising and green purchase than prosocial-oriented consumers; however, when an advertised product and its consumption is mainly seen in public, promoting strong public self-awareness, proself-oriented consumers change their attitudes and behavioral responses in a positive direction. The study has several contributions to the current stream of environmental advertising research and practice. First, the study establishes the relationship between social value orientations and green advertising effectiveness. Second, the study identifies that conspicuous conservation can be explained with social value orientations and public self-awareness. Last, the finding of the study suggests that social value orientations help marketers understand the consumers' underlying motivations and to know whether greenness is an appropriate selling attribute. Further, the marketers can understand how the consumers' value orientations could be incorporated into the brand communications.

A cross age study was conducted to investigate 6th, 7th and 8th grade students&rsquo<br>value orientations, environmental optimism, and environmental concern. In addition, gender and grade level differences in the environmental-related attributes were examined. A total of 938 (491 girls and 447 boys) students attending public schools located in Kelkit, the district of Gumushane, were administered a questionnaire consisting of Demographics, Environmental Attitudes and Apathy Scales, Environmental Concern Scale , Environmental Optimism Scale, Locus of Control Scale and Conservation Behavior Scale. In general, students who participated in the current study found to endorse eco-centric attitudes, and express a high degree of concern as well as optimism level about the current and future state of the environmental issues and problems. They also seemed to be interested in environmental issues and problems and perceived environmental problems as one of the two or three most important problems currently being faced. In order to examine the role of gender and grade level on students&rsquo<br>environmental attitudes, two separate two-way MANOVAs were conducted. The results revealed a statistically significant gender and grade level differences both on students&rsquo<br>ecocentric, apathy and anthropocentric attitudes and on students&rsquo<br>environmental optimism and concern levels.

There can be no valorisation of the truffle system without a sufficient awareness of the chain that brings the truffle from the ground to the consumer. This in fact renders explicit the link between the product and the territory of origin, eliminating disparities at the level of information between the consumer and the gatherer/producer/transformer. In this case, the value of the product is increased to the extent that along with it we also acquire the quality of the environment that produces it. The research that is presented in this volume offers valid elements of orientation, both for those working in the sector and for the public sector, to which it offers knowledge useful for the defence of the local product and for guiding sector policies.

Abstract:
Chapter 8 focuses on schools. Traditionally schools sought to socialize children into the values they would need to have to be future citizens. More recently schools have been seen as institutions whose mission is skill acquisition, and the value socialization role has been minimized. Studies make clear that schools do shape values and that the type of classroom and school authority that children experience shapes the degree to which their initial consensual or coercive orientations toward rules strengthen or decline. If children experience transparency in the rules implemented by authorities they believe are concerned about them and their welfare, they increasingly define their relationship to rules as consensual and view the authorities as legitimate. Coercive approaches, in contrast, develop when these legitimating characteristics are absent. Coercive orientations are associated with higher levels of rule-breaking, bullying, gang activity, and criminal behavior. Despite these findings, recent developments in the school environment have increased the coerciveness of school environments.

Abstract:
This book traces the experiences of diverse adoptive families—including lesbian, gay, and heterosexual parent families, and families who adopted through foster care and private adoption—as they manage birth family relationships across their children’s childhood. It explores the diversity among families in how open adoption is envisioned, enacted, and experienced over time. The author uses interview data from four time points spanning preadoption to 8 years postadoption to address a variety of questions, including: How do adoptive parents feel about openness when they first learn about it, and why do their feelings change over time? How do adoptive parents’ initial feelings about birth parents inform the types of relationships that they form with birth family? How do adoptive parents who strongly valued openness cope with and handle the disappointment of matching with birth parents who do not desire and/or are unable to enact a similar level of openness? What types of complex, unexpected, and nuanced trajectories of contact unfold over time between adoptive families and birth families? What types of boundary challenges occur between adoptive and birth family members, offline and online? How do adoptive parents talk about adoption with their children, and how does this vary depending on level and type of contact? How and to what extent do adoptive parents invoke environment versus genetics (i.e., birth family) in articulating children’s strengths, challenges, and physical features (e.g., height, skin color)? How do the experiences of adoptive parents differ by parent gender and sexual orientation?

Abstract:
Nevertheless, scholarly knowledge on crowdfunding has been accumulating, and the number of studies on the role of crowdfunding in financing social entrepreneurs is limited and results are mixed. This calls for a need to uncover the underlying dynamics of funding success for socially and environmentally oriented projects. To analyze these dynamics, the authors analyze the funding performance of campaigns tagged by the Kickstarter platform as ‘public benefit', ‘environmental', or ‘LGBTQIA'. Results show that projects with these tags are more likely to be successful compared to projects without tags after controlling for other factors that are shown to affect project success in the literature. These findings provide guidelines to social entrepreneurs looking to fund their projects on crowdfunding platforms and open up the path for future research on the relationship between framing for social and environmental orientation and funding success.

The main aim of this chapter is to find out the effects of NGO campaigns on consumers in terms of attitude and behavior and discover any relationship between this effect and sustainable personality factors such as altruism, locus of control, and long-term orientation. A survey is conducted with 177 consumers who reside in Turkey for at least two years that are older than 18 years. Experimented with two popular environmental NGO campaigns, results reveal clearly that altruistic personality trait has a positive effect on consumers in terms of behavior. Locus of control and long-term orientation are not correlated with environmental behavior and attitude of consumers. In addition, only age is positively correlated with consumer behavior in one of the campaigns. Demographics are not found to be sufficient to explain consumer behavior in environmental campaigns.

Abstract:
In the modern business scenario, organizations are vesting high efforts in managing process sustainability as part of their operations management practices. The global environmental concerns for the welfare of the society have facilitated this change. Research studies have reported Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as one of the prerequisites in developing and maintaining efficient business processes. The process sustainability related initiatives and various processes related regulatory compliances have created the need for sophisticated IT tools like BPM (Business Process Management) and BI (Business Intelligence) in organizations. Thus with the advancement of ICT, a strong desire to enhance the business process performance through BPM and BI applications is felt across organizations. However, there is scant research available on leveraging the advantages of these applications in sustainability development. Therefore, this paper aims to present a conceptual architecture framework using an integrated BPM and BI solution to develop an orientation among practitioners and academicians towards the inclusion of ICT in attaining a sustainable, energy efficient business operations or processes. The framework is based on the literature pertaining to the role of BPM and BI in process sustainability as well as from the inputs of practitioners involved in the field of BPM and BI.

Abstract:
The author identifies the psychological and cognitive barriers (PCBs) in the students' consciousness in schooling as the very important factor of the contemporary education system crisis. Focusing on the unresolved “how to learn” problem, the author reveals the essence of PCBs, their causes, and models for overcoming them. At the same time, the main attention is paid to the social aspect of insurmountable PCBs at school. It is about the education failure of schoolchildren, which predetermines their life and professional failure. And this, in turn, predetermines their negative value orientation in social exchange. As a result, the society receives a low-quality educational component of human capital, which is less and less in demand on the labor market due to the technological challenges of the future. The PCBs overcoming creates conditions for the success of schoolchildren as future carriers of high-quality human capital, able to ensure stable economic growth thanks to the activities of highly educated and intellectually autonomous professionals.

Abstract:
AbstractThe urgency for developing a circular economy is growing, and more and more companies and organisations are concerned with the importance of adapting their business to fit a changing economy. However, many analyses on the circular economy are still rather abstract and there is a lack of understanding about what circularity would mean for specific industries. This insufficient insight especially seems to be apparent in the building and construction sector. Besides, the building and construction sector is responsible for a major part of energy use and emissions. To tackle the issue of insufficient insight into the business consequences of circular devlopments, further research is necessary. Therefore, we propose to collaborate on a research project that aims to provide a more detailed level of analysis. The goal is to identify drivers and barriers to make better use of materials in the building and construction sector. This further research would benefit from an international collaboration between universities of applied sciences and industry from different European countries. An additional benefit of the applied orientation would be the relevance for professional education programmes. References CBS, PBL &amp;amp; Wageningen UR. (2017). Abstract:
Abstract Leading Edge Slats are popularly being put into practice due to their capability to provide a significant increase in the lift generated by the wing airfoil and decrease in the stall. Consequently, their optimum design is critical for increased fuel efficiency and minimized environmental impact. This paper attempts to develop and optimize the Leading-Edge Slat geometry and its orientation with respect to airfoil using Genetic Algorithm. The class of Genetic Algorithm implemented was Invasive Weed Optimization as it showed significant potential in converging design to an optimal solution. For the study, Clark Y was taken as test airfoil. Slats being aerodynamic devices require smooth contoured surfaces without any sharp deformities and accordingly Bézier airfoil parameterization method was used. The design process was initiated by producing an initial population of various profiles (chromosomes). These chromosomes are composed of genes which define and control the shape and orientation of the slat. Control points, Airfoil-Slat offset and relative chord angle were taken as genes for the framework and different profiles were acquired by randomly modifying the genes within a decided design space. To compare individual chromosomes and to evaluate their feasibility, the fitness function was determined using Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations conducted on OpenFOAM. The lift force at a constant angle of attack (AOA) was taken as fitness value. It was assigned to each chromosome and the process was then repeated in a loop for different profiles and the fittest wing slat arrangement was obtained which had an increase in CL by 78% and the stall angle improved to 22°. The framework was found capable of optimizing multi-element airfoil arrangements.

Abstract:
The search for comfort in users is a priority objective in technical schools focused on spaces design. The use of spaces can be for residential, commercial or entertainment activities. It is a common mistake to consider that comfort is achieved exclusively through the analysis of the interior space, since it is also necessary to consider the relationship between the space and the surrounding environment, because it is affected by environmental variables such as radiation, wind, humidity, noise, etc. The change of these variables throughout the day influences the interior conditions of the spaces and in general, is needed to incorporate artificial systems to compensate the external climatological conditions (thermal machines, light sources, etc.). Grade students, in design schools acquire, throughout the curriculum, knowledge in relation to the limits of comfort required for interior spaces. In the last academic year of the degree in Architecture, students have sufficient capacity to be able to detect the fluctuations that occur in the variables of the external environment by measuring temperature and humidity with DATALOGGER, equipment capable of recording data over time or in relation to the location using its own sensors or externally connected, as well as the value of the light level with LUXOMETERS, which are instruments that measure the real and not subjective illuminance of an environment. On the other hand, students are also able to evaluate the quality of the indoor environment, detecting whether or not there is a difference with the outdoor environment and assessing, for each orientation, the need for protection against radiation, (possible incorporation of tree mass, etc.). The protocol for developing the work proposal is established with measurements at the beginning of the course (winter period), later in spring and at the end of the course (beginning of summer). For each space analyzed (indoor and outdoor), measurements are carried out three times a day (early in the morning, at noon and in the evening). With the data obtained in different moments of the day and stationary situations, students must be able to select the most suitable protection devices for the building under analysis (vegetation, canopies, etc.).

Abstract:
This article addresses the problem of identifying relationship between the emotional manifestations of adolescents and young people and dominant values in their personality system in order to establish priorities in the acquisition of the components of the value orientation at the subjects. The age of adolescence is the period of social and emotional development, cognitive and emotional explosion, and psychic and value system formation. Personality formation takes place in the social environment through interrelation with parents, friends, and teachers in different life situations. Adolescents may experience positive and negative emotions of varying intensity. Emotional stability develops gradually through experiences, socialization, cognitive progress, self-knowledge and self-affirmation which are already being formed and are specific to young people. It is important to self-recognize and self-analyse by the subject of his/her own specific emotions, to determine the causes of their occurrence, to know how to regulate the negative ones. The role of emotions is enormous for the human being. The affective sphere is one of fundamental elements for: the fixation of externalized manifestations through the behavioural display of suitable emotions, shaping of attitudes, the development of beliefs and, therefore, values. These components are organized hierarchically, forming the content of value orientation or values orientation. The experimental study carried out with adolescent and young subjects consisted in determining the specificity of emotions and dominant values in adolescence and youth ages, highlighting the dynamics of emotional and value changes, and establishing the relationship between the studied variables. The experiment results provide us with the current information regarding dynamics of the relationship of emotions and values, which, therefore, allows to elaborate new ways of emotions knowing and regulating during adolescence age including youth one. These strategies can be applicable in educational institutions, ensuring by them well-being for all education actors. Well-being means not only feeling well inside, but also to be in well- being created conditions in the environment around us, favouring the wellbeing of all subjects.

Abstract:
The prior importance of the concept of sustainability, as well as its prior developmental orientation, is one of the most challenging and prospective approaches to a more systematic and a less chaotic organizational and economic growth and development. With the process of launching the “New Global Reporting Initiative”, in August 2010, the awareness for a profound integration of the needed data and information on the model for sustainable growth emerged, consisting of a numerous initiative organizations, such as UN Global Compact and WWF, the Prince’s Accounting for Sustainable Projects, International finance and accounting standard settlers, which in fact establish a concept of comparable integrated sustainable framework. The dominant importance of the above framework is unifying the information for running the day-to-day operation in a sustainable manner, in order to emphasize the focal understanding of the sustainability as triple bottom line aspects – the balance of harmony between the economic, social and environmental sustainability. Each organizational form nowadays possesses a need for complying its performance as a dynamic, vital and alive entity, in order to shift the prevalent consideration of the human resources from a source of value creation, to a focal creative force within, as an initial step for a vivid responding to the features of the new organizational evolution. The systemic approach to planning and implementing changes is the base for the tendencies of an external adaptation and internal integration.
