Full textThis theisis aims at renewing the didactics of malagasy grammar, a subject that disappeared from the curriculum around ten years ago. This situation invites consideration to be taken of the selection of contents to be taught and to strategies to get this over. We have set ourselves two aims : to contribute to the development of malagasy grammar and to adapt it to the teaching situation. We strive to forge a link between linguistic research and practical teaching. The first part deals with the linguistic functioning of malagasy, focussing on those elements that play a direct role in teaching grammar. This leads on to clarifying the levels of analysis necessary to enable someone to handle the language correctly. Detailed studies of linguistic phenomena allow the pupil to widen his verbal repertoire, enabling him to express himself in a variety of situations. Teachers can draw from our description of malagasy and select those linguistic materials which they can use for their teaching. These tools make it possible to work out a curriculum based on both the learners' age and the functioning of the language. The second part concerns the content, reuse and summary evaluation of knowledge in order to consolidate pupils' language skills. The method used is inductive, and invites the pupils to manipulate the language in different ways

Full textResearch has consisted in studying the ambiguous relationship of algerian research has consisted in studying the ambiguous relationship of algerian pupils in the second stage of secondary schools with the french language. The weight of history is heavy and thirty years of independence have strengthening a kind of linguistic hatred. French upholders, that is to say french speakers who are holding power because they are possessing knowledge, have become the scapegoats -according to r. Girard's theory- of the arabic speaking majority. There upon, after the president's speech on sept619-88, the " route antique des hommes pervers " was launched into existence. The hypothesis -supported by a questionnaire- asserts that the socially privileged classes fully claim the french language as a basic component of their cultural capital. But then, how can a french teacher cope with the "autistic" attitude of pupils toward french? the theory of the "objet transitionnal" -according to d. W. Winnicott- applied to story-telling will trigger off the desire to talk first, then to write. We have pointed out that: 1 -listening to a tale and writing out a narrative passage, represents for the pupils a kind of truce in the triangular face to face meeting: learner french language teacher. 2 -the class is structure a as a tale. Moreover, as pupils are not equal in learning a language, belon-. .

Full textResearch attemps to understand how educational advisers operate from a vocational viewpoint, organised by the transformation of trainee teachers and the apprenticeship of students. The theoretical fieds in question are the activity, the vocational education, the teaching of sport and physical activities, problematic and argumentation : three educational advisers being trained are observed during interviews they have with their trainee teachers after the lessons. The analysis allows to bring out different types of operations based on indicators such as the position, the use of interpretation scopes and the kinds of argumentation they employ. Cases studies bring out evolutions they employ. Cases studies bring out evolutions and resistances to the transformation of educational advisers' professional practices

Full textUniversitary courses. But, when they practice, they face children whose connection with knowledge is quite different than the one they have had in university. So they are in a permanent tension, which is the main characteristic of the teachers' condition. That definites ontologically teacher's being. This tension may have negative effects when one of both terms is forgotten. That appears in corporative discourses from traditionnal school defenders. The production of positive effects comes through great efforts in order to rationalize, as if teachers needed excuses to be generous in teaching. It also comes through a great deal of universitary references, as if they allways needed remembrance of their legitimacy origines. When a teacher cannot manage the contradiction between university knowledge and school knowledge, he must accept the idea that knowledge is composite ; pupils become partners in the knowledge production instead of being teacher's knowledge receivers. Teacher's stress at holding both terms is nearly impossible to bear. To find a new balance, one should have a personal reflexion which needs a new vocabulary. Instead of transmission, one should speak about knowledge sharing

Full textTeachers training is still a crucial and persistent topic since the needs of students and teachers are constantly growing day by day. ln addition, students' errors especially in mathematics increase over time and dealing with these errors requires acquiring efficient competence through teacher training. The aim of the thesis is to investigate how to train future mathematics teachers on dealing with students'errors and how to improve this training in trainee practices environment. Consequently, we are interested in different essential elements in the training, such as the primary knowledge or training knowledge transmitted by the trainers to the trainees, and the strategies or situations implemented and so forth. ln order to study these elements, different analysis grids are established to be implemented by trainers and trainees in classroom settings. These analysis tools displayed the conclusion that the effects of training observed on trainee practices concerning the question of errors are not significant

Full textThe 20th century has seen the expansion and the triumph of the textbookk in the teaching of history in secondary schools. It has left its mark on the lives and fed the memories, of generations of students and teachers. It has been the source of impassioned debates which , as they always led to innovations, allowed it to survive by adapting to a world governed by the media. Its social, cultural and thus, historical importance, its difference from the textbook of elementary schools, are at the origin of this research. Since it is at the crossroads of various sources, influences and viewpoints, the textbook has acquired its inner dynamics. The intent was, through an open approach, to trace through the represenatations, the images of the hsitory book and its relations with memory, its evolutions, its projects, its fundamentally human as well as purely functional dimensions. Its definition, beyong the legal and institutional rules and regulations, is also a matter of idealized, realistic, dubious or critical firsthand testimonies, childhood memories and practices. Through all the turmoils of its existence, the textbook changes faces , structures, but will constantly keep its specificities which echo the needs of the public at which it is aimed. As witnesses of these internal and external ruptures and continuities, the fluctuating destinies of a few complex and controversial politicians reveal the esential reference to the civic values which it will naturally promote. A model object, itself modelled by tyhe irregular rhythms of the evolution of contemporary history, it certainly proves its vitality which originates in contradictions and a rich complexity wxhich are still the basis of its pedagogical interest in the school system
