Abstract A considerable amount of equipment in Refining Units are prone to present problems of cracking related to the presence of wet H2S. To preserve the integrity of these equipments it is necessary to manage this form of corrosion. This work aims to present the experience and lessons learned to guarantee the mechanical integrity and operational continuity of in service equipment and the application of best practices for construction of new equipment. The severity of the fluids and the susceptibility of the equipment were identified and prioritized through Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studie

Abstract There is an ever increasing incidence of damage to electronic equipments which renders a continued operation of this equipment impossible. Research and development efforts which have examined deposit removal and corrosion products on electronic equipment have shown that possibilities do exist for restoring the functionality of the damaged equipment. This presentation will describe the possibilities of restoring damaged electronic systems and the technical and economical limitations of such measures.
