Abstract:
Erich Fromms (1900-1980) Quellen werden aus seiner Biographie, dem Gedankengut der jüdischen Religion (vor allem der Propheten und des Talmud), der Soziologie Alfred und Max Webers, der religiösen und philosophischen Humanisten, des frühen Karl Marx und der Psychoanalyse Freuds erschlossen und anhand seines Werkes dargestellt und erörtert. Es folgen in chronologischer Reihenfolge Analysen von Fromms Beiträgen zu einer ethisch inspirierten Psychoanalyse, zur analytischen Sozialpsychologie, zur jüdischen, christlichen und buddhistischen Religionspsychologie und seinem Konzept einer nicht- theistischen, humanistischen Religion, zum Matriarchat, zum Marxismus und dem daraus abgeleiteten humanitären, kommunitären Sozialismus, zur Kulturanalyse, Kulturkritik und zum Humanismus. Detailliert wird auf Fromms berühmte sozialpolitische und kulturhistorische Untersuchungen des Mittelalters, der Renaissance, des Protestantismus, des Kapitalismus, des Nationalsozialismus, des Kommunismus, der Technik und der destruktiven Aggression eingegangen, welche zu seinen bekannten Begriffen des Gesellschaftscharakters , des Konsum- und Marketing-Charakters sowie der Nekrophilie führten. Fromms umfangreiches Werk wird abschließend gewürdigt und vor allem in den Bereichen der Sozialpsychologie, Aggressionstheorie und Pädagogik kritisiert, indem seine Konzepte auf die moderne Jugend des Jahres 2000 und den heutigen Gesellschaftscharakter angewandt werden. Methodisch wurde kritisch-historisch, religionspsychologisch und tiefenpsychologisch (psychoanalytisch und individualpsychologisch) vorgegangen.
Erich Fromms (1900-1980) sources are disclosed of his biography, of his judaistic thoughts (especially of des prophets and the talmud), of the sociologic concepts (Alfred and Max Weber), of the religious and philosophical humanists, of the early Karl Marx and of the psychoanalysis Sigmund Freuds. The analysis follows in chronologic order Fromms concepts of an ethical inspired psychoanalysis, of his socialpsychology, of his judaistic, christian and buddhist psychology of religion, of his project of an non-theistic humanistic religion, of the matriarchat, oft the Marxism and the derived humanistic communitarian Socialism, of the culture-analysis and critique. In detail are Fromms famous sociopolitical researches on the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Protestantism, the Kapitalism, the Nationalsocialism, the Kommunism, the technic and the aggression (destructivity) described. This leads to the terms of the social-character , the consum- and marketing-charakter and the necrophily . The work ends with the valuation and critique of Fromms ouevre especially in the parts of the socialpsychology, the theory of aggression and pedagogy. The evaluation is made with the character of the modern youth of the year 2000 and the modern social-character. As methods are used: history and critique of religion, depth-psychology (psychoanalysis and individualpsychology).

Mystificateur de génie, Erich von Stroheim a conçu la légende de son existence. Il a tout mis en œuvre pour qu'elle se substitue à la réalité. La vérité n'a été découverte que dix ans après sa mort mais n'a pas détruit la fiction. Celui qui aux yeux de tous symbolisait le noble officier prussien avait déserté six mois après son incorporation en tant que simple soldat. Sa mère et son père étaient juifs et pratiquaient leur religion. C'est lorsqu'il émigra aux États-Unis et devint cinéaste qu’Erich Stroheim commença à composer sa personnalité mythique. Il n'a jamais cessé de la perfectionner jour après jour et film après film, créant du réel par de l'imaginaire. Les neufs films qu'il a réalisés ont été successivement examines. À travers eux et grâce à eux, on peut suivre l'évolution de l'homme et de l'artiste. En 1937, avec "la grande illusion", l'image d’Erich von Stroheim accède à la postérité. Genius of the mystification, Erich von Stroheim conceived the legend of his own life. He did everything to substitute it for the reality. The truth was discovered only ten years after his death, but this didn't kill the fiction. The one who, to the eyes of the world, was the archetype of the noble prussian officier deserted during his military service as a private. His mother and father were practicing jewish. Working for the movies, Erich Stroheim, after his u. S. Emigration, began to build his fictitious personality. He never stoped to improve his, day after day, and film after film. The imaginary became the real. We investigated successively the nine films he directed. Through them and with their help, we were able to follow the evolution of the man and artist. In 1937, with "la grande illusion", Erich von Stroheim enter into the hall of fame. He brings so his creation to perfection. He ends at this time his greatest master-piece : himself. But the director will be for ever nothing than an actor

The authors and translators Erich Arendt and Hans Magnus Enzensberger are two key figures in German literature after 1945, known especially for their appropriation of foreign literatures. They both contributed extensively to the reception of Modern Latin American and Spanish Poetry in East and West Germany by translating poets such as Pablo Neruda, César Vallejo and Rafael Alberti. This is the first study to explore the asymmetrically intertwined literary conditions of the two author-translator figures with regard to the ways in which engaging with a foreign text opens up a perspective on the author-translator’s own poetology.

Célèbres et reconnus mais peu discutés, les films réalisés par Erich von Stroheim, entre 1919 et 1929 à Hollywood, occupent une place problématique dans l’histoire et la théorie du cinéma. Les discours contradictoires ou paradoxaux qu’ils ont inspirés animent cette recherche. Œuvre à la fois mutilée, reconstruite ou ruinée, elle est indissociable d’une expérience du temps. La versatilité des mondes et les métamorphoses de l’intrigue qu’elle propose, malgré un régime narratif évident, invitent à reconsidérer les catégories de l’histoire du cinéma muet américain. Interrogeant la représentation de l’histoire, ces films donnent à penser l’événement de la Première Guerre mondiale comme un point aveugle, et livrent une historicité composite. Au sein des pratiques du cinéma muet hollywoodien, les films de Stroheim se distinguent par l’invention d’un montage en accolade produisant une continuité qui incite à envisager la question de la durée. Ces films s’écartent de ce qu’à la même époque instaure le naturalisme américain par-delà les modèles littéraires. Pour analyser ce cinéma dans sa complexité, sera examiné l’être stroheimien selon les devenirs qui le font changer dans la durée, différemment de son appréhension dans le temps chronologique. De sorte que leurs devenirs se mesurent relativement aux êtres cédant à l’entropie ou au contraire demeurant des invariants. Selon cette configuration générale, Stroheim crée les conditions d’une expérimentation distincte de celle du naturalisme traditionnel
The films directed by Erich von Stroheim in Hollywood between 1919 and 1929, though little discussed, are famous and renowned, but they still remain an issue in both film history and film theory. Contradictions and paradoxes that characterize the discourses on these films drive this research. The works of Erich von Stroheim were in turns butchered, reconstructed, destroyed. Our aim is to show that it entails strongly an experience of time. Despite their obvious narrative plots, these films suggest a changeability of worlds and a metamorphosis of plot that lead us to review the standard approaches of American silent film history. While they question the representation of history, these films make the event of World War I appear as a blind spot, and reveal heterogeneous modes of historicity. Within the experiences of Hollywood silent films, the works of Erich von Stroheim are characterized by the creation of a bracket montage (montage en accolade), producing a continuity that invites us to consider the issue of duration. Beyond literary models, these films differ from what is established by American naturalism at the time. In order to make way for their complexity, we will study the Stroheim-being according to what it becomes and changes itself in duration, which is not what we could understand of it in chronological time. So what becomes of it is estimated with regard to its yielding to entropy, or, on the contrary, its remaining invariably the same. In accordance with this general configuration, Stroheim creates conditions that experiments a new way for naturalism

Célèbres et reconnus mais peu discutés, les films réalisés par Erich von Stroheim, entre 1919 et 1929 à Hollywood, occupent une place problématique dans l’histoire et la théorie du cinéma. Les discours contradictoires ou paradoxaux qu’ils ont inspirés animent cette recherche. Œuvre à la fois mutilée, reconstruite ou ruinée, elle est indissociable d’une expérience du temps. La versatilité des mondes et les métamorphoses de l’intrigue qu’elle propose, malgré un régime narratif évident, invitent à reconsidérer les catégories de l’histoire du cinéma muet américain. Interrogeant la représentation de l’histoire, ces films donnent à penser l’événement de la Première Guerre mondiale comme un point aveugle, et livrent une historicité composite. Au sein des pratiques du cinéma muet hollywoodien, les films de Stroheim se distinguent par l’invention d’un montage en accolade produisant une continuité qui incite à envisager la question de la durée. Ces films s’écartent de ce qu’à la même époque instaure le naturalisme américain par-delà les modèles littéraires. Pour analyser ce cinéma dans sa complexité, sera examiné l’être stroheimien selon les devenirs qui le font changer dans la durée, différemment de son appréhension dans le temps chronologique. De sorte que leurs devenirs se mesurent relativement aux êtres cédant à l’entropie ou au contraire demeurant des invariants. Selon cette configuration générale, Stroheim crée les conditions d’une expérimentation distincte de celle du naturalisme traditionnel
The films directed by Erich von Stroheim in Hollywood between 1919 and 1929, though little discussed, are famous and renowned, but they still remain an issue in both film history and film theory. Contradictions and paradoxes that characterize the discourses on these films drive this research. The works of Erich von Stroheim were in turns butchered, reconstructed, destroyed. Our aim is to show that it entails strongly an experience of time. Despite their obvious narrative plots, these films suggest a changeability of worlds and a metamorphosis of plot that lead us to review the standard approaches of American silent film history. While they question the representation of history, these films make the event of World War I appear as a blind spot, and reveal heterogeneous modes of historicity. Within the experiences of Hollywood silent films, the works of Erich von Stroheim are characterized by the creation of a bracket montage (montage en accolade), producing a continuity that invites us to consider the issue of duration. Beyond literary models, these films differ from what is established by American naturalism at the time. In order to make way for their complexity, we will study the Stroheim-being according to what it becomes and changes itself in duration, which is not what we could understand of it in chronological time. So what becomes of it is estimated with regard to its yielding to entropy, or, on the contrary, its remaining invariably the same. In accordance with this general configuration, Stroheim creates conditions that experiments a new way for naturalism
