The article comprehends the reception of A.I. Ertel of hotel images, ideas, themes of A.S. Pushkin. The relevance of the work is connected with the lack of knowledge of Ertel’s heritage, with the lack of research on the artistic continuity of Ertel’s works in relation to the Russian classics. Special attention in the article is paid to the image of a real aristocrat, the folk theme of Pushkin and Ertel. Key parallels in the themes and components of figurativeness in the article are considered using the example of various artistic works of Pushkin and Ertel, in addition, the image of Pushkin in

The novel by A.I. Ertel is considered in the article as one of the key works of Russian provincial literature of the late 19th century devoted to provincial themes. The focus is made on the reflection in the novel of the social problems and internal conflicts of Russian provincial society at that time. The author considers the way A.I. Abstract Advances in computer power, new forecasting challenges, and new diagnostic techniques have brought about changes in the way atmospheric development and vertical motion are diagnosed in an operational setting. Many of these changes, such as improved model skill, model resolution, and ensemble forecasting, have arguably been detrimental to the ability of forecasters to understand and respond to the evolving atmosphere. The use of nondivergent wind in place of geostrophic wind would be a step in the right direction, but the advantages of potential vorticity suggest that its widespread ad
