Abstract:
Discoid lupus erythematosus is the most common clinical manifestation of lupus erythematosus. Characteristic features are erythematous plaques with follicular hiperkeratosis, clearly demarcated from surrounding skin, that resolve with atrophy and scarring, leading to significant aesthetic defects. The consequence of involving the scalp is cicatrical alopecia. On the ground of long lasting, untreated lesions squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) may develop. On the other hand SCC remains in the circle of DLE differentiation. We present diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties associated with DLE.

Introduction. Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a global problem of the 21st century, as the number of people suffering from this disease is steadily increasing, and around the world, about 20% of the population with clinical manifestations of this disease seek medical help. Aim of the study. Evaluation of the clinical course of AD in children in the hot climate of Uzbekistan. Patients and methods. 215 patients with atopic dermatitis aged from 1 to 18 years were under observation. The severity of AD was determined using the SCORAD index. Results. Among 215 patients, the erythematous-squamous form was observed in 63 (29.3%), erythematous-squamous with lichenification - in 47 (21.8%), lichenoid - in 55 (25.6%), exudative - in 34 (15.8%), and pruriginous form of AD - in 16 (7.4%). Most observed patients were adolescents, and the number of boys and girls with AD in this group was similar (49.6% and 50.4%, respectively). In terms of severity, taking into account the SCORAD index, in infancy, most patients had moderate (47.4%) and mild (36.8%) clinical course; in childhood - moderate (56.1%); in adolescence - moderate (40.3%) and severe (33.8%). In infancy, the exudative form was the most prevalent (52.6%). At the age of 2 to 11 years, the erythematous-squamous and lichenoid forms were the most frequently diagnosed (43.8% and 31.6% of cases, respectively). Meanwhile, at the age of 12 to 18 years, the patients were characterized by a different distribution of forms: the erythematous-squamous form with lichenification was observed in 28.1%, the lichenoid form - in 26.6%, and the erythematous-squamous form in 20.8%. Conclusion. In the present study, we assessed the relative frequency of forms of atopic dermatitis in children of different age groups in the hot climate of Uzbekistan.

Abstract:
Diagnosing a medical condition and its root cause is an involved procedure that calls for much investigation and knsowledge. Before making any health-related choices, it's crucial to have accurate information. Making a doctor's appointment is the first step in getting a diagnosis if you suspect you're unwell. The primary goal of this study is to develop a system for illness classification using machine learning techniques. The first step is to gather and prepare the data for analysis. Uncertainty in the dataset caused by noise, outliers, or missing values will be removed during pre-processing. Separate sets of Training data and Test data will be created from the preprocessed dataset. Machine learning algorithms will be used to train the model, and the resulting model will be put to the test on a separate dataset. The effectiveness of the algorithms being used in production will then be evaluated.

Abstract:
Background: The similarity in clinical presentations of a wide gamut of non-neoplastic cutaneous pathology leads to diagnostic challenges. Histopathological study of skin biopsy aids in the accurate identification of skin lesions so that they can be managed appropriately.
Materials and Methods: A retrospective descriptive study was performed in the Department of Pathology at Patan Academy of Health Sciences from April 2017 to March 2020. Data from the histopathology database were analyzed using SPSS version 17.0.
Results: Non-neoplastic lesions constituted 180 cases (31.86%) of the total of 565 skin biopsies received during the study period. The age ranged from 5 months to 95 years with a mean age of 36 years. There was no overall particular gender predilection. Amongst the diagnostic categories, the prevalence of non-infectious erythematous, papular, and squamous diseases was the highest followed by microbial diseases and non-infectious vesiculobullous and vesiculopustular diseases. Lichen planus followed by urticaria was the most frequently encountered lesions in non-infectious erythematous, papular, and squamous diseases. Leprosy was the commonest microbial disease. In the non-infectious vesiculobullous and vesiculopustular category, spongiotic dermatitis was most prevalent. Spongiotic dermatitis followed by lichen planus, leprosy, and calcinosis cutis were the commonest non-neoplastic disorders.
Conclusions: Amongst the diagnostic categories, the prevalence of non-infectious erythematous, papular, and squamous diseases was the highest followed by microbial diseases and non-infectious vesiculobullous and vesiculopustular diseases. In this study, spongiotic

Hypertrophic lupus erythematosus (HLE) often occurs in the absence of systemic symptoms and can be misdiagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) as both appear clinically as erythematous scaling plaques in sun exposed areas and histologically show significant epithelial hyperplasia. No single criterion confidently differentiates HLE from SCC histologically, postulating the need for CD123 immunostaining in evaluating locally recurring, supposed SCCs. We present a woman who presented for evaluation of multiple supposed left lower leg well-differentiated SCCs (wdSCC), that did not resolve following Mohs Micrographic Surgery and other techniques aimed at cancer removal. The lesions improved following intralesional Kenalog injection and showed positive CD123 immonostains, which both led to the diagnosis of HLE.

Abstract:
Candida is a commensal yeast. It can be infective when the host’s defense mechanism is weakened, as in the case of squamous cell carcinoma patients. We aimed to evaluate the prevalence and clinical mycological manifestation of candidiasis in 150 cancer cases comprised of preoperative and post-operative (with or without radiotherapy) upper aerodigestive squamous cell carcinoma. A total of 150 patients suffering from squamous cell carcinoma of the Upper Aero-Digestive Tract (UADT) were divided into preoperative (n = 48), post-operative without radiotherapy (n = 29) and post-operative with radiotherapy (n = 73). Samples were collected using cotton swabs and cultured. Candida species were identified according to color pigmentation on Candida Differential Agar (CDA) plate. The clinico-mycological association of patients was evaluated by the chi-square test, and 98 out of 150 patients showed the presence of various Candida species. The major species isolated was Candida albicans (53%), followed by Candida tropicalis (16%). There was a significant statistical difference between patients who showed mycological associations and patients who did not have any such association (p = 0.0008). The prevalence of oral candidiasis was found to be 65.33% among total cases of upper aero-digestive squamous cell carcinoma. Chronic erythematous cases of candidiasis were mainly seen in preoperative squamous cell carcinoma cases, whereas the acute erythematous type of candidiasis was mainly seen in post-operative cases who received radiotherapy. The clinicomycological assessment can help to correlate the signs and symptoms with the presence of candidiasis in upper aerodigestive squamous cell carcinoma patients. Meticulous testing and examination can help in the early detection of candidiasis. Future studies are needed to develop advance scientific preventive strategies for high-risk cases.

Abstract:
We report a very rare case of invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in the abdominal stoma of a Monti ileovesicostomy. Our patient underwent an uncomplicated Monti ileovesicostomy at age 16 for a neurogenic bladder. She presented 10 years later with difficulty catheterizing the stoma. A biopsy of peristomal tissue showed moderately differentiated SCC. A cystoscopy did not reveal any bladder tumours or suspicious lesions. A computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen and pelvis did not demonstrate metastasis. The patient underwent a complete en bloc resection of the stomal site, the Monti, a partial cuff of bladder, and 2 loops of bowel that were adherent to the Monti. Final pathology revealed pure invasive SCC arising around the stoma and negative surgical margins. Six months later, a follow-up CT scan showed no evidence of malignancy, while a cystoscopy revealed a small erythematous area in the posterior bladder wall. Urinary cytology was positive for SCC. Transurethral resection of the erythematous lesion with random bladder biopsies showed SCC in situ in the erythematous lesion and right lateral bladder wall. Staging workup was negative. The patient subsequently underwent a radical cystectomy and ileal conduit diversion with bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection. Final pathology on cystectomy specimen was SCC in situ without evidence of invasive carcinoma. The patient has remained in remission at the 3-year follow-up.

For 10 years the authors analyzed 165 clinical cases of children with atopic dermatitis, which manifested in the first year of life. According to the 10-year follow-up, the authors revealed different outcomes of the disease, depending on the severity of the course, clinical forms of dermatitis and the timing of its onset. Favorable outcome with complete remission was observed in 30.9% of cases and was more common in children with a mild course of atopic dermatitis, acute exudative forms and with the onset of the disease at the age over 6 months. The transition to chronic forms was noted in 14.5% of cases and more often took place in children with a moderate severe course of the disease, erythematous-squamous forms and the onset of the disease at the age of 4–6 months. The development of respiratory forms of allergy (allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma) was noted in 54.6% of cases and was more often detected in patients with a moderate severe and severe atopic dermatitis, erythematous-squamous forms and exudative forms with lichenification and onset of the disease in the first 3 months of life.

Abstract:
Vulvar squamous cell carcinoma with sarcomatoid features is an extremely rare histological variant of squamous cell carcinoma with co-existence of both epithelial and mesenchymal features. A 70-year-old woman presented with genital lesions for 4 months with associated burning and pain. Examination revealed well-defined bilaterally symmetrical hyperpigmented plaques on labia majora, fleshy erythematous growth on labia minora. Biopsy from the fleshy mass was suggestive of sarcomatoid malignancy. However, immunohistochemistry was positive for cytokeratin AE1/AE3 and negative for desmin and smooth muscle actin. Biopsy from hyperpigmented plaque was suggestive of Bowens disease. On the basis of histopathology and immunohistochemistry findings, diagnosis of vulvar sarcomatoid squamous cell carcinoma with Bowens disease was made and patient was started on external beam radiation therapy. Sarcomatoid squamous cell carcinoma of vulva is very rare cancer that has an aggressive and fatal course. Diagnosis has traditionally been difficult due to a large ratio of sarcomatous to squamous cell component. Due to its rarity, there are no distinct guidelines to direct therapy and care.

The lesions had appeared 4 years earlier and usually worsened with heat or extensive sweating. Histopathology of previous skin biopsies had shown multiple cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas or was non-conclusive. Thus, a re-biopsy was performed, revealing acanthosis and focal acantholytic dyskeratosis. These clinical and anamnestic findings lead to the diagnosis of extensive Grover’s disease (GD). Oral therapy with isotretinoin 30-mg QD led to the regression of the skin lesions. Topical adapalene, as well as topical corticosteroids, were later prescribed for maintenance therapy.

Abstract:
This study investigates the occurrence of erythematous lip lesions in a captive sun bear population in Cambodia, including the progression of cheilitis to squamous cell carcinoma, and the presence of Ursid gammaherpesvirus 1. Visual assessment conducted in 2015 and 2016 recorded the prevalence and severity of lesions. Opportunistic sampling for disease testing was conducted on a subset of 39 sun bears, with histopathological examination of lip and tongue biopsies and PCR testing of oral swabs and tissue biopsies collected during health examinations. Lip lesions were similarly prevalent in 2015 (66.0%) and 2016 (68.3%). Degradation of lip lesion severity was seen between 2015 and 2016, and the odds of having lip lesions, having more severe lip lesions, and having lip lesion degradation over time, all increased with age. Cheilitis was found in all lip lesion biopsies, with histological confirmation of squamous cell carcinoma in 64.5% of cases. Single biopsies frequently showed progression from dysplasia to neoplasia. Eighteen of 31 sun bears (58.1%) had at least one sample positive for Ursid gammaherpesvirus 1. The virus was detected in sun bears with and without lip lesions, however due to case selection being strongly biased towards those showing lip lesions it was not possible to test for association between Ursid gammaherpesvirus 1 and lip squamous cell carcinoma. Given gammaherpesviruses can play a role in cancer development under certain conditions in other species, we believe further investigation into Ursid gammaherpesvirus 1 as one of a number of possible co-factors in the progression of lip lesions to squamous cell carcinoma is warranted. This study highlights the progressively neoplastic nature of this lip lesion syndrome in sun bears which has consequences for captive and re-release management. Similarly, the detection of Ursid gammaherpesvirus 1 should be considered in pre-release risk analyses, at least until data is available on the prevalence of the virus in wild sun bears.

Squamous cell carcinomas are favored by repeated sun exposure, especially in fair-skinned people who easily get sunburned. There are also genetic diseases including albinism which can promote their appearance early in life and multiple forms. We report the first observation of frontal squamous cell carcinoma with resection and reconstruction using the H-shaped flap in an albino (in Mali). Oculo -cutaneous albinism consulted for a frontal ulceration evolving for 3 years. The initial lesion was an erythematous macula which progressively evolved into a dragging ulceration. She had been treated with three sessions of cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) without success. Physical examination found a slightly crusty ulceration, circumscribed (2 x 1.6 cm), painful and non-itchy. Otherwise the rest of the clinical examination was normal. A biopsy for pathological examination was performed. The diagnosis of invasive squamous cell carcinoma was confirmed. Surgical treatment was performed (resection and reconstruction with the H-shaped flap) with simple postoperative course and satisfactory results from an aesthetic point of view.

Bowen's disease (BD), also known as squamous cell carcinoma in situ, is a type of non-melanocytic intraepidermal malignancy characterised by a slowly enlarging erythematous to pink, scaly patch or plaque with irregular and well-demarcated borders. These lesions are usually persistent and progressive; it has been estimated that in general population around 3% to 5% of Bowen's disease transform into invasive squamous cell carcinoma. This report describes our experience with cutaneous BD and assesses the differences found about age, sex and anatomical site. Bowen’s disease was seen more frequently in male patients rather than in female patients in contrast to what confirmed in literature - this difference is probably because being head-neck an exposed region, patients are more easily induced to autoexam and to consult the dermatologist.

Clear-cell variant of oral squamous cell carcinoma is an extremely rare entity. Clear-cell change can be seen in any of the neoplasms, but as pure form variant, it is difficult to find in head-and-neck SCC. We hereby present a case report of 71-year-old male who presented with a growth with erythematous patches on the lateral pharyngeal wall for the past 3 months. Histopathologic examination showed nests, islands and sheets of malignant squamous cells with vesicular nuclei and abundant clear cytoplasm. Neoplastic cells constituting majority of nests exhibited clear cell changes. Special stain was performed to identify the nature of clear cells. periodic acid Schiff-diastase (PAS-D) showed positivity in the clear cells. Immunohistochemical study using antibody for pan-cytokeratin revealed diffuse positivity in the tumor cells.

Abstract:
Squamous cell carcinoma in situ, often known as Bowen's disease, is a type of intraepidermal carcinoma that is most frequently observed in the older population in places that are particularly exposed to the sun. The advancement of this neoplasm to invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) occurs in fewer than five percent of instances, and it is often the case that it is indolent. An erythematous, crusty, and scaly plaque is the typical manifestation of Bowen's disease. However, reports have documented other rare presentations, including pigmented, atrophic, hypertrophic, or verrucous lesions. We present a case of a 72-year-old female patient who, over a period of four years, presented with a progressively increasing tumor on her left buttock. The clinical examination revealed a hyperkeratotic plaque that was well-defined, raised, verrucous, and crusted. The plaque measured 8 x 10 cm. The histopathological examination revealed a diagnosis of Bowen's disease, which was developing into squamous cell carcinoma. The plastic surgeon carried out a wide local excision, followed by full-thickness skin grafting. We hereby are reporting this case for its unusual presentation in a sun-protected area, its rapid progression to squamous cell carcinoma with no evidence of immunosuppression, and how early diagnosis, timely invasion, and treatment play a key role in avoiding metastasis.

Abstract:
Abstract The scrotum is an uncommon site for the presentation of extramammary Paget disease (EMPD). We describe a case of EMPD that was discovered in a patient who had been previously diagnosed and treated for squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the scrotum 3 years earlier. Pathologic examination of the current scrotectomy specimen revealed an erythematous patch with areas of pale induration. Microscopic examination revealed areas with the characteristic histology of Paget disease adjacent to areas characteristic of Bowen disease. Immunohistochemical findings demonstrated a strong expression of carcinoembryonic antigen, cytokeratin 7, and low-molecular-weight cytokeratins (CAM 5.2) in both of these areas, giving support to the overall diagnosis of EMPD. High-molecular-weight cytokeratins (34βE12) were uncharacteristically expressed in the cytoplasm of the Paget cells with equal or greater strength than in the surrounding keratinocytes, suggesting some degree of squamous differentiation. Very few publications have reported the coexistence of EMPD with squamous cell carcinoma in situ, occurring mostly in the vulva. To our knowledge, our case is the first report of scrotal EMPD with features of Bowen disease. Our findings support the theory that primary EMPD arises multifocally from multipotential epidermal cells.

Introduction: The skin is the largest organ of the integumentary system in human. Dermatological lesions are commonly encountered in all countries and it encompasses a wide spectrum, varies from country to country and various regions within a country. Skin diseases are much common in developing countries. The spectrum varies according to geographic distribution, gender, age, and coexisting disorder. We conducted this study to find out the prevalence of different skin lesions and to evaluate their frequency and site of distribution. Aim of the Study: The aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of different skin lesions and to evaluate their frequency and site of distribution. Methods: This was a descriptive study and was conducted in the Department of Histopathology of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from January 2019 to December 2021.We included 133 skin biopsies in our study. Result: Among 133 skin biopsies examined, non-infectious vesicobullous and vesicopustular disease were found in 53 (48.18%) cases followed by microbial disease in 20 (18.18%) and non-infectious erythematous papular and squamous disease in 28 (21.05%) cases. Lichen simplex chronicus was the most common vesicobullous disease seen in 08 (15.09%) cases. Dermatophytes were the commonest microbial disease found in 10 (50%) cases. The commonest non- infectious erythematous papular and squamous disease was lichen planus and psoriasis 08 (15.09%) cases. The commonest neoplastic lesion was keratinocytic tumor seen in 13 (56.53%) cases. The commonest tumor of the skin was seborrheic keratosis and squamous cell carcinoma in 13 (56.53 %) cases. Upper extremities were the most frequently involved site by skin lesions. Conclusion: In our study prevalence of lichen simplex chronicus was higher. We observed a wide spectrum of skin lesions ranging from dermatitis to malignant neoplasm. The importance of specific histomorphological features lies in distinguishing various skin lesions and play a major role in making the final diagnosis of these diverse skin lesions. This highlights the role of histopathological examination for the proper management of patient.

Lichenoid contact reaction is a type of delayed hypersensitivity reaction to constituents derived from dental materials. It may occasionally transform into oral squamous cell carcinoma. A 62-year-male reported with the chief complaint of a wound in the inner aspect of right cheek for 2 weeks. On initial examination, a diffuse erythematous area with interspersed non- scrapable white striae was present on the right buccal mucosa and residual alveolar ridge with respect to 47 extending till gingivobuccal aspect of 45, roughly linear in shape, approximately 3x1 cm2 in size, with a rough overlying surface. Ointment triamcinolone 0.1% was prescribed for 1 week. The patient visited after 3 months. Clinical examination revealed an ulcer with peripheral induration of size approximately 2.5 mm on right buccal mucosa adjacent to 46. An incisional biopsy revealed oral squamous cell carcinoma. Long-term follow-up of patients with oral lichenoid reaction is mandatory for early detection of malignant transformation.

Patients’ clinical characteristics and pathologic features were evaluated and analyzed.ResultsA total number of 700 patients were included. The proportion of malignant and premalignant lesions in overall vulvar specimens were 16.3% and 8.4%, respectively. Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common malignant vulvar lesion (48.2%), whereas vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia 1 (VIN1) (33.9%) was the most common lesion in the premalignant group. On multivariate analysis, four clinical factors were significantly associated with malignancy risk: increased parity (odds ratio [OR] 1.19, P = 0.010), large tumor size (OR 2.00, P < 0.001), lesion at clitoris (OR 16.67, P = 0.002), and erythematous lesion (OR 2.41, P = 0.026).ConclusionsThe proportion of malignant and premalignant lesions in overall vulvar specimens was 24.7% in KCMH. Increased parity, large tumor size, clitoris-located lesion, and erythematous lesion were associated with increasing malignancy risk.

Abstract:
Introduction: Penoscrotal Paget's disease is very rare worldwide, with a small number of case reports, and it thus represents a major dilemma in diagnosis and treatment. Case report: An 81-year-old man presents himself to the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia (IORS) for the first time due to an ulcerated and erythematous tumor change about 10 cm in diameter covered with squamous plates, which extends from the groin region on the left to the scrotum. The tumefaction is erythematous, bloody and it occasionally bleeds, and the patient complains of occasional pain in the left leg. Previously, a biopsy of the mentioned tumor change was performed in another institution, and the PH finding was in favor of extramammary Paget's disease. The patient was presented to the IORS council, which decided on operative treatment. Conclusion: This rare disease is also found outside of clinically visible lesions, positive resection margins are common, and this represents the main risk factor for disease recurrence. Accurate preoperative diagnosis and proper surgical treatment are crucial for preventing relapses and repeat operations, making them key factors in improving survival. This case report certainly represents a significant step for oncologists in understanding this disease.

Abstract Adenosquamous carcinoma is an aggressive variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This report describes a case of adenosquamous carcinoma with clinical features of a benign lesion and discusses the differential diagnoses, especially regarding histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses. A 45-year-old male was referred to our outpatient clinic complaining about a rapid-growing enlargement in hard palate. Clinical examination revealed an erythematous and pedunculated nodule with lobulated non-ulcerated surface. Excisional biopsy was performed following clinical diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma. Histologically, the specimen consisted of areas characterizing both well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma and true adenocarcinoma. After a broad list of immunohistochemical markers was evaluated (AE1/AE3, CEA, CK5, CK7, CK8/18, p53, p63 and Ki67), the diagnosis of adenosquamous carcinoma was rendered and the patient referred to complementary surgery. Adenosquamous carcinoma represents a challenge in diagnostic routine due to its rarity, diverse range of clinical presentations and histological features. Furthermore, classical clinical benign features may be present in malignant lesions; hence the submission of every surgical specimen to histological analysis is mandatory to provide the patient the adequate treatment.

Cutaneous lesions with wart like growth pattern are referred as verrucous lesions. Few lesions clinically look like warts but they are associated with different conditions, pathology, prognosis and treatment. Histopathology plays a very important role in such cases to diagnose the condition. In this article we present 5 different cases, with verrucous morphology. Our first case was a 70 year old man, with verrucous growth over hyperpigmented plaque on left leg. Biopsy showed Squamous cell Carcinoma overlying Lichen Simplex Chronicus. Second case was a 65yr old man with verrucous growth over right thigh diagnosed as well differentiated Squamous cell carcinoma on histopathology. Third case was a 22year old man, with multiple erythematous verroucous growth over left thigh. Biopsy showed syringocystadenoma papilliferum. Fourth case was a 9 year old female, with verrucous lesion over left side of forehead. Biopsy suggested chondroid syringoma. Fifth case was a 25year old female with multiple verrucous lesions over nose, diagnosed as sebaceous hyperplasia. Difficulty in diagnosing verrucous lesions can be resolved with knowledge and awareness of different diseases with verrucous morphology and histopathological examination.

Summary Background/Aim: Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is an autosomal recessive skin disease. Affected patients have skin problems, oral mucosa and neurologic symptoms. In these patients, erythematous, hyperpigmented or malignant skin lesions may occur in the sun-exposed areas. Leukoplakia, erythroplakia, and squamous cell carcinoma of the tip of the tongue and lips are common oral lesions associated with XP. Case report: Treatment of the disease included protection from ultraviolet radiation, topical application to treat actinic keratitis, and multidisciplinary approaches by physicians. Conclusions: Even though USG in dentistry is not very common, it is a non-invasive, cost-effective, readily available and repeatable diagnostic imaging method. Thus, USG should take place as a routine diagnostic tool in dentistry, especially for patients who are medically compromised.

Abstract:
Atopic dermatitis is a widespread problem, and its treatment is a complicated problem for clinicians. The efficacy, safety, cost and complexity of therapeutic measures are the Key components for treatment compliance and ultimately define the success of treatment. The article presents the results of a prospective open-label study of the clinical efficacy of the application of mometasone furoate (Elocom) for atopic dermatitis in children with the exudative and erythematous squamous forms with initial signs of lichenification and its effect on the IDLQI (Infant's Dermatological Life Quality Index). It was established that the application of Elocom vs. the hydrocortisone cream and ointment (in case of the exudative form) contributed to the faster reduction of the intensity of clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis.

Abstract:
Pityriasis lichenoides is a rare inflammatory skin condition presenting with diffuse red-brown papules with evolution polymorphism and mica-like crust on older skin lesions. We present a 60-year-old female patient with pityriasis lichenoides chronica that manifested ten days after streptococcal pharyngitis. Initially, palpable purpura appeared on the lower extremities and later, erythematous-squamous papules and plaques appeared at the site of the palpable purpura and on the upper limbs and trunk. The patient had no history of hematological malignancy, viral hepatitis, kidney involvement, systemic rheumatic disease, or ANCA-associated vasculitis. After administration of methylprednisolone 20 mg for one month and an antimalarial agent (hydroxychloroquine 200 mg, 1 tablet bid) for three months, the skin lesions subsided without recurrence.
