Full textThe main objective of this research is to identify the relationship and / or influence of the COAR specialized educational model with the university academic performance of the students who graduated in 2012 and 2013 from COAR - Lima, analyzing the proposal of the educational model and the evaluation that the students of the same have, in order to replicate the actions that allow the optimal development of the academic and personal abilities of the students, fulfilling in this way the objectives proposed by the MINEDU. The COARs are public schools that offer an educational service with high national and international quality standards that allows strengthening the academic, artistic and sports potential of high performance students. The implementation of the COAR is a responsibility shared between the Ministry of Education (MINEDU) and the Regional Governments (GORE). The MINEDU designs the model and the GORE requests the implementation of a COAR, prior stage of dissemination and awareness, for which an inter-institutional cooperation agreement is signed. The development of the research seeks answers to several questions regarding the identification and description of the knowledge that graduates have about the components that make up the model of the specialized educational service provided by COAR-Lima; the knowledge and analysis of the assessment and opinion of the students regarding the model of specialized educational service offered by the COAR and its relationship with academic performance; the identification and description of the habits and / or study techniques that the students learned at the COAR and the application of them in the university; as well as the knowledge and description of the motivations that lead the students to continue their studies at the university level. Following these objectives, we established an exploratory type of research, since there are no previous investigations that allow us to establish the relationship and / or influence of the educational model provided by the COAR with the university academic performance of the graduates. These results will allow obtaining proposals that contribute to strengthen and / or implement improvements in the actions of the MINEDU. The present thesis has been developed based on the qualitative methodological strategy. Since our main source of primary information are in-depth interviews, conducted to the main actors. The main findings are the following: a) The alumni of the COAR-Lima clearly remember the components that make up the COAR educational model, b) There is a direct relationship between what the students know, value and use of each of the components that make up the educational model of the COAR, and their university academic performance c) The students graduated from the COAR - Lima, have acquired and currently practice habits and / or appropriate study techniques that have allowed them to improve their university academic performance, d) The main strengths of the graduates are the responsibility, commitment and desire to excel that allow them to meet their established goals. All this makes it possible to conclude that the educational model of the COAR influences the university academic performance of the students who graduate from said institution. Finally, the present research suggests the strengthening of the various components that make up the COAR educational model and the constant development of the capacities in the different roles of teaching and administrative staff, proposing policies that allow achieving an effective and sustainable development of high performance schools.

Full textThe audit activity is conditioned by the continuously changing global environments, economic, technological, cultural and business trends in such a way that the audit itself reflects the adaptive changes that are generated. Both the financial audit, such as in this case, the Comprehensive Audit and Management must adapt their principles and methodologies to these changes. On the other hand, the Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, it is a concept that has emerged with force doctrine in the accounting and administrative in general, and in the audit in particular, as an inevitable response to the great changes in the organizational and social environments experienced in recent decades. Defined the principles of the CSR in the global framework, through the United Nations Global Compact, at the level of developed countries; in our country initiatives to deepen the CSR are still sporadic, focusing almost exclusively on large mining companies and in certain private universities. For its part, as a conceptual and practical problem, has not yet been completed the definition of the contours of an audit of the Social Responsibility, as part of the Management Audit; have not yet been determined in universal form the practices and indicators of Corporate Social Responsibility to its proper assessment, due to the great diversity of social situations, political, economic and business that can be determine around the world. This research work focuses precisely to determine the extent to which public universities in Lima dedicated to the teaching of professional careers in business management, using the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility as a policy that contributes to the audit of educational organizations mentioned. Also seeks to determine to what extent are contributing in the regulatory process and doctrinal consensus of Corporate Social Responsibility, both as an object of study as soon as political organizations that can adhere fully to that concept. This work also aims to measure up to where and to what extent the new doctrines were established by the United Nations agencies and by other successful experiences, have been assumed by the public universities in Lima dedicated to the teaching of professional careers in business management and as the comprehensive audit of the Social Responsibility would contribute to the continuous improvement of those organizations, benefiting users direct and to the national community in general.

Full textThis research is the result of a case study of the “Leer es estar Adelante” (reading is being ahead) program, implemented in two marginal schools in Lima Center and Comas of the province of Lima. We started with the premise that the program fosters the improvement in reading comprehension skills in our country. It also fights the lack of methodology in the urban-marginal schools throughout the country (based on the PISA test, in 2012, Peru was in the last place of 65 countries around the world)3, in the last PISA 2016, the reading comprehension levels improved (compared to PISA test 2015, when Peru was ranked 62 out of 72 countries in reading comprehension, besides being the Latin American country with the highest growth)4. The Leer es estar Adelante program started editing texts in 2007 with the support of 19 similar public schools from five regions in the country. By 2008, Adelante texts were available, distributed and delivered to each school and child. In 2010, private companies embraced this initiative. They adopted the role of partners, benefiting schools nearby their areas of influence. The elements of the program help the implementation and, clearly, the achievement of results that have been obtained throughout the execution years. The Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP - Peruvian Studies Institute) implements the program and develops each component (educational material, teachers’ training and support, together with learning measuring. The main objective of this research is to determine the management factors that have improved the reading comprehension results in boys and girls from third to sixth level of primary school (8 to 10 years old) that are benefited by the program. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, students from Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Virgen de Guadalupe schools participated in this program. The strategies employed by each component were analyzed to determine the success of the program and to strengthen its implementation. Thanks to this work, we can propose improvements in the social management of the program, together with presenting the external factors of the applied management. Finally, we would like to highlight the articulated work among the Ministry for Education, the private sector and the civil society to improve the reading comprehension skills in boys and girls.

Full textThe study aims to establish the differences in the level of knowledge about dyslexia in elementary school teachers handling 3rd and 4th grade in public and private schools in Lima in regards to their training center, academic level and sex. The investigation is justified because the theoretical heritage on the subject will start in the country. The process sampling was kind of intentional and nonprobabilistic, evaluating 100 teachers from institutions of regular basic education from public and private schools located in the districts of Ate, Santa Anita, Chorrillos, Los Olivos, San Juan de Miraflores and San Luis. The tool used was in the form of survey questionnaire. To develop it, we considered some dimensions as a criterion of construction that is part of the concept dyslexia, such as: definition, classification, symptoms and causes. The “Survey of knowledge of teachers on dyslexia” has a degree of reliability and validity, appropriate to fulfill the purpose for which it was built. The results referred to the survey is that teachers have an average knowledge based on dyslexia, as well as the non-confirmation of the general hypothesis which states that there are significant differences in the level of knowledge in dyslexia on teachers of 3rd and 4th grade in public and private primary schools in Lima based upon gender, academic and training institution and degree.
