Abstract:
The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is an evidence-based early intervention model for young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It is crucial to investigate the feasibility of the ESDM in community settings in contexts that are culturally different from American universities in which the model was originally developed. The aim was to further evaluate the effectiveness of the ESDM delivered within the Italian community setting at low intensity. We compared a group aged 19 to 43 months receiving the ESDM for 2 h per week over the course of 1 year with a concurrent, comparable, non-randomized control group receiving treatment as usual (TAU). Children were evaluated at baseline (T0) and after 6 months (T1) and 12 months (T2) of intervention. Feasibility was evaluated by parent and therapist questionnaires, retention rate, and therapist treatment fidelity. Both groups made similar gains in cognition and language abilities. The ESDM group made larger improvement in domains measured by the ESDM Curriculum Checklist, including communication, social skills, and maladaptive behaviors. Feasibility seemed well supported by retentions, therapists and parent satisfaction, and treatment fidelity. Our study further supports the feasibility of the ESDM implemented within the Italian public health system and suggests a better response in the ESDM-treated group than in the control group.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunikasi pemerintahan melalui tanda pagar (tagar) #EnergiBerkeadilan pada media sosial Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM). Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus pada media sosial Kementerian ESDM. Teknik pengumpulan data primer dan data sekunder, data primer dari wawancara terhadap key informants dan data sekunder berupa tinjauan literatur seperti jurnal, buku dan peraturan terkait. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tagar #EnergiBerkeadilan merupakan rangkuman dari Pasal 33 Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 dan Nawa Cita Presiden Joko Widodo, yang merupakan tagline dari Kementerian ESDM dan diteruskan menjadi tagar di media sosial Kementerian ESDM. Tagar #EnergiBerkeadilan (1) dianggap belum merubah bagaimana kita berbicara secara verbal atau non verbal pada media sosial, (2) menjadi campaign terkait program dan capaian kinerja sektor ESDM pada media sosial Kementerian ESDM, (3) bisa digunakan atau dijadikan sumber pencarian konten, (4) memerlukan kegiatan yang terencana dan dilakukan secara luas, untuk menjadi sarana baru gerakan sosial tagar #EnergiBerkeadilan yang membuat masyarakat tertarik berpartisipasi pada kegiatan tersebut, dan (5) Kementerian ESDM secara rutin melaksanakan kegiatan Temu Netizen, untuk merubah bagaimana membangun komunitas virtual.

Data analysis uses interactive model analysis. The results of this study are information on the expectations and needs of training participants, an analysis of the level of relationship of each expectation and needs of trainees in the ESDM Ministry's Strategic Planning and its improvements formula, andimprovement recommendations for curriculum development of the ESDM Ministry's Strategic Planning.

Abstract:
Management of public communication plays significant role in a government. The implementation of well-made management of public communication can be a means to deliver government policies both as programs and achievements broadcasted to public. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of communication policy management at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The method used was a case study at the ESDM with analysis implementation by using used Edwards III model. Based on the analysis, it was found that the implementation of the public communication management policy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was already underway, such as the availability of a planned public communication strategy, and indicators of success in the mass media which were not only numerous but also positive and neutral quality, so that negative coverage could be minimized. Besides, the support of Officials and Implementers, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and creative content through hashtags related to the Energy and Mineral Resources sector could also increase the social media followers. Keywords: Policy, Implementation, Communication Management, Public Communications Abstrak Pengelolaan komunikasi publik merupakan hal penting dalam sebuah pemerintahan. Implementasi kebijakan tentang pengelolaan komunikasi publik yang telah dibuat, sebagaimana pengelolaan komunikasi publik menjadi sarana penyampaian kebijakan Pemerintah, baik itu program maupun capaian yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi kebijakan pengelolaan komunikasi publik di Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM). Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus pada Kementerian ESDM dengan analisis implementasi kebijakan pengelolaan komunikasi publik dengan model Edwards III. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ditemukan bahwa implementasi kebijakan pengelolaan komunikasi publik di Kementerian ESDM sudah berjalan, seperti adanya strategi komunikasi publik yang terencana, indikator keberhasilan berupa pemberitaan di media massa yang tidak hanya banyak tapi juga kualitasnya yang positif dan netral, sehingga pemberitaan negatif dapat diminimalisir. Selain itu, dukungan Pejabat dan Pelaksana, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), dan konten-konten kreatif melalui tanda pagar (tagar) yang terkait sektor ESDM dapat meningkatkan jumlah pengikut media sosial. Abstract:
The growing number of Autism Spectrum Disorder cases exceeds the services available for these children. This increase challenges both researchers and service providers to develop systematic, effective dissemination strategies for transporting university research models to community early intervention (EI) programs. The current study developed an abbreviated training workshop to teach the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to 24 community EI practitioners and examined their fidelity of implementation posttraining and 4 months later. Practitioners successfully implemented and self-assessed their delivery of the ESDM teaching strategies compared with fidelity ratings by expert trainers by the end of the workshop. Those who submitted follow-up materials met fidelity in their direct delivery, whereas their self-assessment of skill delivery appeared lower compared with trainers’ fidelity ratings. Findings are discussed about the immediate gains and challenges of community-based dissemination of the ESDM, and the priority for continued research in implementation science to support and sustain intervention delivery.

Telehealth training may benefit parents’ use of early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This study is one of the few randomized trials to compare telehealth parent training in the Early Start Denver Model (P-ESDM) with a community treatment-as-usual, early intervention program. Parents were randomized to 12 weekly 1.5-hr videoconferencing sessions with website access to P-ESDM learning resources or to monthly 1.5-hr videoconferencing sessions with website access to alternative resources to support their intervention. Telehealth training facilitated higher parent fidelity gains and program satisfaction for more of the P-ESDM than the community group at the end of the 12-week training and at follow-up. Children’s social communication skills improved for both groups regardless of parent fidelity. Findings suggest the feasibility of telehealth training with improved parent intervention usage and satisfaction from the program. However, the impact of these effects on children’s development over time is yet to be understood.

Abstract Parenting a child on the autism spectrum can be rewarding and enriching, but it may also increase risk of parental fatigue, stress, anxiety, and depression. Parent-mediated interventions contribute to increase family satisfaction and child social communication while helping to decrease parental stress and fatigue. Parent coaching, the education of parents in evidence-based strategies, has become common in the autism field. However, parent coaching in music therapy has only recently emerged and has limited research with families with an autistic member. In this study, we attempted to improve a previously published model of parent coaching, adapting only one aspect of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), the sensory social routine (SSR) to create a music intervention. Four parents participated in this 6-session parent coaching study. We compared the SSR-based intervention with and without music, in an alternating treatment design. Measures included parental responsiveness, child receptive and initiation joint attention, parent–child similar affect and synchronized gaze, and the Parent Coaching-ESDM (PC-ESDM) parent fidelity rating system. Results from these observational measures were mixed, with better parental responses in the no-music condition, but improved child responses and parent–child synchrony in the music condition for 3 out of the 4 participants. Parent learning increased for all participants, and 3 out of the 4 reached fidelity (a score of at least 80%), according to the PC-ESDM. Although mixed results were observed across participants, implications for practice are possible. Better outcome measures of this complex intervention are needed.

Kemurnian batu kapur menurut standar BGS maka sampel dari Sumatera, Jawa, Kalimantan dan Sulawesi umumnya sampel batu kapur menengah sampai tinggi (medium - high purity). Berdasarkan standar : industri logam (besi), Industri di India dan literatur ESDM maka sampel dari jawa barat, jawa tengah dan sumatera utara dapat digunakan sebagai bahan campuran pada industri logam (besi). Umumnya sampel Batu kapur dapat dipakai sebagai bahan baku campuran karena murni dan untuk memenuhi standar industri diperlukan proses pengolahan. Limestone is an important material used as a mixture in iron ore processing industries. To find out the purity of limestone and to determine its characteristics for the metal industry using the BGS standard. To find out its characteristics for the metal industry, it uses literature standards from the domestic metal industry, India and ESDM (minister of energy and mineral resources). According to BGS standards : The purity of limestone from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Sulawesi is generally medium to high purity. Based on standards: metal (iron) industry, Indian industry and ESDM literature : samples from West Java, Central Java and North Sumatra be used as a mixture in the metal (iron) industry. Generally, limestone samples can be used as raw materials because they are pure and to meet industry standards, processing is required. Relatively new transducers permit the measurement of dynamic response at many structure locations. Included among such transducers is the scanning laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV). A scanning LDV can measure velocity at many structure locations. An important new technique, Experimental Spatial Dynamics Modeling (ESDM), utilizes such spatially dense velocity data. ESDM models continuous, three-dimensional velocity fields using LDV velocity data. Thus, ESDM is a powerful structural dynamics analysis tool that significantly enhances the usefulness of a scanning LDV. However, heretofore, ESDM has not been experimentally evaluated. The results contained herein partially satisfy this need. Specifically, this research evaluated the ability of ESDM to reconstruct velocity response fields with large in-plane components parallel to a surface in the presence of small out-of-plane components transverse to the surface. To fulfill this objective, a test structure was developed and fabricated; the structure had certain dynamic properties which aided ESDM evaluation. Subsequently, the test structure was harmonically excited at a single frequency such that large in-plane and small out-of-plane velocity components were present on a particular surface. LDV and accelerometer data were then collected. Ultimately, velocity results were obtained from the LDV data via ESDM and the accelerometer data. Velocity results derived from the accelerometer data served as an experimental standard against which ESDM results were compared. Result comparisons clearly indicate that ESDM accurately reconstructs surface velocity fields with large in-plane and small out-of-plane components.

Abstract:
Tumours are not autonomous transformed cell populations, but rather a society composed of both malignant and normal, including immune, cells that together foster tumour growth and development. Tumour-associated macrophages have been reported to enhance tumour growth, progression and metastasis. In high-grade non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, prototypically the B-cell neoplasm, Burkitt’s lymphoma (BL), infiltrating macrophages engulf large numbers of apoptotic tumour cells. Evidence suggests that apoptotic BL cells can condition the tumour microenvironment to promote lymphoma development by selectively attracting macrophages while inhibiting neutrophil infiltration and by stimulating macrophages to produce the B-cell growth and survival factor. Tumour cells grow in a hypoxic and nutrient-deficient environment and the resultant cellular stress can induce apoptosis. It is therefore possible that hostile environmental conditions in the tumour also contribute to the generation of a pro-tumour microenvironment. This thesis describes investigations which examined this hypothesis. BL cells were cultured at high density to mimic conditions of metabolic stress existing in the tumour environment. Cell-free supernatants from such stressed BL cells demonstrated potent chemoattractive activity for mononuclear phagocytes. Supernatants from BL cells that were protected from apoptosis by over-expression of bcl-2 had similar ability, confirming that chemoattractant release was apoptosis-independent. The observation that apyrase and suramin could inhibit the chemotactic activity of these supernatants suggested that nucleotides might be the apoptosis-independent chemoattractant. Detection of ATP in stress supernatants by bioluminescence assay was consistent with this proposal. Significantly, supernatants from BL cells and those transfected with bcl-2 were both found to inhibit neutrophil migration, suggesting the occurrence of a neutrophil migration inhibitory factor whose release was apoptosis-independent. Furthermore, stress supernatants could promote BL cell proliferation in vitro, which was apoptosis and cell line-independent. In order to study the role of TAM in the tumour microenvironment, a novel macrophage model was devised using mouse embryonic stem cells (ES cells). Cells derived from ES cells generated in vitro expressed macrophage-specific markers and were free of dendritic cells and undifferentiated ES cells. ES cell-derived macrophages (ESDM) could migrate towards apoptotic BL cells and engulf them. However, ESDM migrated to stress supernatants with decreasing efficiency as they matured. Preliminary data indicated that the phagocytic ability of ESDM to engulf apoptotic cells increased as they matured, consistent with distinct roles for circulating monocytes and tissue macrophages with regard to this function. Considering the high yields and purities of ESDM described here, together with their non-malignant nature and genetic versatility these cells should provide a superior source of undifferentiated mononuclear phagocytes with which to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying tumour infiltration and microenvironmental conditioning by TAM. In conclusion, this work suggests that under conditions of pre-apoptotic stress, BL cells have the capacity to regulate their micro-environment upstream of their apoptosis programme to promote net tumour growth through paracrine signals that attract supportive macrophages and inhibit destructive neutrophils and through release of autocrine/juxtacrine tumour growth factors.

Inom utbildning och hållbar utveckling pågår en debatt om det är utbildningensroll att främja enskilda beteenden som av experter definieras som hållbara. Åsikterna kan delas upp i utbildning förhållbar utveckling och utbildning somhållbar utveckling, där den senare är skeptisk till experters förmåga att säkert veta om ett beteende är mer hållbartän ett annat och iställetförespråkar en pluralistisk och kritisk ingång där självständigt tänkande premieras. Valet mellan att främja eller attarbeta kritiskt mednormer har i denna uppsats sammanfattats underdilemmat med normativitet.Studienbestår av två delar: Den första undersöker vilket innehåll som ges till utbildning och hållbar utveckling i utsagor från utbildningsansvariga för lärarprogrammet vid Uppsala Universitet. Den andra undersöker hur innehålleti utbildning och hållbarutvecklingförhåller sig till dilemmat med normativitet som nämns ovan.De slutsatser som kan dras utifrånundersökningen äratt innehållet som detframkommer i utsagornakan sammanfattas i fem olika teman samtatt de temanahar mycket gemensamt med resultatfråntidigare studier. Det visar på att det har börjatväxa fram en ram för vad hållbar utveckling i utbildningssammanhang kan ges för innehåll. I utsagorna framkom även innehåll som skiljer sig från tidigare forskning, t.ex. att utgå från utbildning och hållbarutveckling som en tydlig kompetens kring vilken studenter kan specialisera sig utifrån framtida arbetstillfällen, samt att studenter i större grad kan påverka innehållet, och ansvara för formerna, isin egen utbildning. Resultatet visar även att utbildningen kan utformas på ett sätt som är både normativtoch pluralistiskt. Genom att ha en medveten ingång till i vilket sammanhang fakta omhållbara beteenden presenteras, kan studenterna ges en position där de själva har möjlighet att övervaka överförandet av normer. Genom detta tillsammans med ett diskussionsklimat där läraren är i bakgrunden och låter studenterna själva identifiera ohållbara utvecklingar och värden som ska bevaras,undviksobalanseni makt mellan läraren och studenterna och ett pluralistiskt utbildningsklimat skapas.

s desire to gain autonomy through the ESDP is unlikely to pose a threat to the primacy of NATO in European Security. In this framework, firstly, the legacy of the Cold War and transition from the ESDI to the ESDP are discussed. Secondly, the political aspect of the EU-NATO relations is addressed by touching upon the views of major powers in the EU-NATO relations. The main obstacles for the development of the EU-NATO relations are explored in the third part. The last part is allocated to the recent developments in the EU-NATO relations within the post September 11 context. This thesis is concluded by suggesting that although the evolving nature of the EU-NATO relations does not provide sufficient evidence for giving a clear answer to whether the EU and NATO cohabitate or separate, the EU and NATO should strive for cohabitating and working together in a complementary and harmonious way.

This paper discusses physical backgrounds of the different discharge scenarios from plastics and tries to rank ESDS related risks. It includes specific hints for ESD prevention in plastics lamination processes as RFID cards, smart cards or contactless money cards, where ESD-sensitive devices (ESDS) are at specific high risk for ESD discharge from plastics. Sumba Iconic Island is a collective program established by the national government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) with various governmental and international institutions such as the National Electricity Company (PLN), Hivos, Norwegian Embassy in Jakarta, Asian Development Bank, and all level of local government from provincial, regency, municipality, district, and village level. This paper focuses on using qualitative data gained through interviews with stakeholders to find out the various operation and maintenance models of renewable energy power plants that are currently in practice in Sumba Island. This study shows that currently there are four models of operation and maintenance for systems throughout numerous villages in Sumba. The first one describes O&M being handled by trained locals, second one is handled by the village cooperative (Koperasi), the third one is collaboration between PLN and local government units or private sector, and the last one is collaboration with the private sector and village-own company (BUMDes). The first one mentioned is the weakest one, and faced many constraints such as lack of technical skill and the local peoples’ limited understanding. The other three models succeeded, to a certain extent, in sustaining the renewable energy system in the particular village

Abstract The ESD Association standard ANSI/ESDA S-5.1 1993 for testing sensitivity to the Human Body Model (HBM) 1 forms the basis around which the majority of automated HBM ESD simulators have been constructed. As device pin counts increase it is unlikely that new larger simulators for > 512 pins will be capable of meeting this standard 2, since increased parasitics will increase the effective socket (stray) capacitance. However, such larger HBM simulators are expected to meet both the JEDEC Standard JESD-22-114A, 1997 3 and the newly issued ESDA Standard Test Method, ESD STM 5.1, 19984. This paper begins to evaluate the several questions regarding the correlation of HBM Withstand Voltage when used to characterize state-of-the-art semiconductor IC's, between simulators meeting the (NEW) standards JESD 22, ESD STM- 5.1 and those existing simulators presently in daily use, which typically meet the (OLD) ESDA S-5.1. This paper for the first time investigates the impact of "effective" socket capacitance in the same tester; i.e., with the same discharge model and the same pin selection mechanism. The experimental investigation was based on stressing three different sub-micron CMOS technology products; firstly on a simulator meeting the OLD standard and then on a modified version of this simulator meeting the NEW standards. Electrical properties of damaged pins and physical analysis was used to establish common Failure Signatures5 for the two mother boards.

The Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) has recently started a Joint Industry Project (JIP) called ESD-JILI, investigating the working principles of energy saving devices (ESDs). Within the framework of this JIP, three ESDs have been selected and thoroughly investigated. They are a Pre-Duct with an inner Stator (PDS), a Pre-Swirl Stator (PSS) with asymmetric blade design and Hub Fins (HFs). The investigations have been carried out by using dedicated force and moment sensors to measure all the components of the ESDs independently during the propulsion tests, by using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to measure the flow before, in-plane and behind the propeller and the ESDs, and by using Smart Ship Model technology (Wijngaarden 2011) to simulate the full-scale wake field during the model tests to gain insights on scale effects of the ESDs. At the same time, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations are also carried out in order to further deepen the understanding of the working principles of the selected ESDs, and to assist the ESDs designs under certain guidelines. Some of the results of the study have been published to the Greenship’2011 Conference (Dang et al 2011). The flow details around the propulsion system with the PDS, which were obtained by both PIV measurements and CFD calculations, and the energy balance of the ship-propulsion system with a PDS are further investigated and reported here. Based on the results of the studies, the principle guidelines for ESD designs for single screw merchant ships have been proposed.

Development of novel hydrodynamic solutions to meet the demands for fuel efficiency of the future merchant fleet will require continuous innovation in the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods being used. This is especially true when considering the development of Energy Saving Devices (ESDs). Open-source CFD is a way to allow more researchers to participate in this process and to accelerate innovation. This paper presents an open-source framework for conducting ship performance analyses within the OpenFOAM CFD suite. The framework helps to alleviate the steep learning curve for initially setting up a successful model of a self-propelled ship in OpenFOAM. It is demonstrated that, using this framework, results in line with the current state of the art set by leading institutions and commercial solvers can be obtained for the performance of a bulk carrier fitted with an ESD. Two different models for describing the action of the propeller on the fluid are explored and conclusions are drawn from comparisons with available experimental data.

Abstract The hydrodynamic performance of ships may be improved by the retrofit of Energy Saving Devices (ESDs). These devices are typically seen in the aft part of the ship hull and act by lowering the ship resistance, conditioning the fluid in front of the propeller and/or recovering energy from the rotational swirl of the fluid leaving the propeller. In the case of a retrofit of an existing ship no straight forward solution exists. In order to find a beneficial design that will improve hydrodynamic performance, a successful and accurate initial assessment of the flow around a hull is of the most importance. Once the flow around the hull is scrutinized in detail, and required flow changes are determined, a ship designer can progress with designing an Energy Saving Device specifically tailored to have a desired effect. This paper presents a high quality numerical evaluation of the flow around a ship hull in the full scale using a sophisticated DES model that was successfully validated against the sea trials. The findings from the numerical analysis will identify the potential improvements in the hydrodynamic performance of the ship that could be achieved by ESD.
