To support electricity consumption savings, the we took the initiativeto design this Smart Socket Using ESP 32. This socket consists of ESP 32 microcontroller and relays, ESP32 is used as the main system control, while the relay functions to connect or disconnect the electricitybased on control from ESP 32. ESP 32 also has a wifi feature so that this tool can be controlled remotelyduring connection with internet network. Abstract:
This study examines the views that tertiary English teachers hold on the need for English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in Burundi higher education. To do so, it investigates the extent to which they are familiar with the theory and practice of ESP. For this study, 32 English teachers were contacted to participate in it. They were all requested to complete an online questionnaire, but only 17 proved willing to do so. The findings revealed that the majority of teachers are familiar with the practice of ESP. Although many of them reported to have high familiarity with the field of ESP, a few of them conduct a Needs Analysis (NA) before teaching ESP courses. Results also indicated that tertiary English teachers highly acknowledge the importance of teaching ESP in Burundi higher Education and, therefore, would encourage the ministry of education to fund an ESP project.

The issue of creating an IP camera based on the ESP-32 CAM module, and integration and transfer of images to the messenger is considered. Provision is made to ensure and increase security during data transmission and interaction with the bot. It is also proposed to create a special telegram bot, using the telegram API, to obtain images from the camera, at any time, when connected to the Internet. The efficiency of the microcontroller at a given task is analyzed. The use of MQTT transmission protocol is proposed, and its advantages for this system are considered. Examples of improvement of this project, layout of this module are given. Discussion of the place and scope of work for the use of this module. The advantages of the ESP-32 CAM module for this task are considered, and why it is the best in its segment for beginners and improvement of knowledge in this work. Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) is a connectivity protocol between machines or now better known as the Internet of Things (IoT). This protocol recognizes two basic functions of M2M communication, namely publish and subscribe (pub/sub). The MQTT protocol is designed as a very simple and very lightweight message delivery protocol, designed for devices that are limited and with low bandwidth capacity, high latency or on an unreliable network. The design principles are to minimize bandwidth requirements and device resource requirements, and keep trying to ensure reliability and guaranteed delivery rates. In this paper, VerneMQ performance reliability is tested - one of the MQTT brokers, with several stressing levels using ESP-32 as a publisher and notebook with the python application as a subscriber.

Lapangan Zaryka merupakan salah satu lapangan minyak pada cekungan Sumatera Tengah. Untuk meningkatkan produksi minyaknya, digunakan pompa benam listrik bawah permukaan (Electric Submersible Pump). Pompa ESP merupakan salah satu jenis artificial lift yang digunakan untuk memproduksikan minyak bumi ke permukaan. Permasalahannya, terdapat berbagai produk ESP yang dipasarkan dengan berbagai jenis,k tipe, dan keunggulan yang bervariasi. Keberagaman ini menyulitkan bagi perusahaan untuk menentukan produk pompa ESP mana yang tepat untuk digunakan. Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process dapat dipergunakan untuk membantu dalam memilih pompa ESP. Terdapat tiga faktor utama yang menjadi pertimbangan yaitu daya tahan produk, pengalaman dan reputasi dan jumlah maintenance, sementara untuk elemen alternatif terdapat empat produk pompa yaitu Centraleft, Motherford, Red-A dan Wooden Group. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa faktor utama yang menjadi pertimbangan dalam pemilihan pompa ESP adalah faktor daya tahan produk (56%), faktor jumlah maintanance (32%), dan faktor pengalaman dan reputasi (12%). Ditinjau dari berbagai faktor, alternatif pompa Red-A merupakan alternatif pompa terbaik (35%), pompa Centraleft (29%), pompa Motherford (19%) dan pompa Wooden Group (16%).

The article contains a description of an experimental criterion referenced assessment marking schemes design based on the theory of the socio-cultural approach to cognitive development (Zimnaya I.A.). The article envisages the progress in ESP writing and speaking skills as a part of cognitive development and suggests a cognitive development oriented progression of communication tasks necessary to reach the required ESP learning outcomes - communicative competence in ESP. It also contains a pedagogical strategy of developing criteria-referenced descriptors of performance assessment which serve as guidelines for teachers as well as a strategy of developing checking lists for students. The article provides some significant insights into the effect of criteria- referenced assessment on teacher and student development.

Many infant mortality rates are due to premature events. Premature babies are at high risk for hypothermia and hyperbilirubinemia. To overcome this, an incubator can be used as a warmer and light therapy as blue light therapy for yellow babies. However, both medical devices have still been found using manual control. If the health worker is tired of working and manually controlling both devices, it can put the baby at risk. Multifunctional infant incubator based on ESP32, which is an infant incubator equipped with phototherapy and a mechanical swing. This multifunctional baby incubator has the ability to warm the baby's body, the baby yellow light therapy, and can calm the baby when crying. This tool can be monitored remotely using the Internet of Things (IoT). The sensors used are the DHT22 sensor and the sound sensor. Multifunctional baby incubator can make it easier for hospital or basic health care facility level to monitor baby's health in real time without being at the device location and the resulting data can be stored neatly.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk pengembangan Smart Fitting dengan menggunakan ESP 32 S sebagai sistem kontrol lampu, monitoring keadaan dan konsumsi daya listrik pada lampu dari jarak jauh dengan mengirimkan data secara realtime melalui aplikasi android yang terintegrasi dengan perangkat Smart Fitting. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode R&D (Research And Development) dan model pengembangan prototype. Prosedur pengembangan meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain dan rancangan sistem Smart Fitting, pembuatan prototype sistem, ujicoba dan tahap validasi. Dari hasil uji coba kontrol nyala lampu, memonitoring kondisi dan penggunaan listrik pada lampu mendapatkan nilai error sebesar 0% yang artinya alat dapat bekerja dengan baik dan akurat. Sedangkan nilai error untuk hasil pengujian monitoring nilai tegangan ialah 0,67 %, nilai error arus sebesar 0,009 %, besaran nilai error energi sebesar 0,027%, nilai error frekwensi sebesar 0,051 %, besaran nilai error daya sebesar 0,44 % dan nilai error Power Factor sebesar 0,038 % angka ini didapatkan berdasarkan perbandingan antara hasil monitoring sistem Smart Fitting dengan hasil pengukuran pada alat ukur power meter KWE-PM01-EU.

Nowadays, running is said to be one of the common activities that be practiced by various people especially athletes. Back then, there were some researchers report that most of the injuries among athletes involves lower hip bodies. It is due to some factors such as body and foot posture during running activity, selection shoe and style of running. Hence, this research is about to design and develop an insole monitoring system using ESP 32 development board and FSR sensor for the purpose of force distribution detection on runner’s foot. The development of smart insole is to countermeasure the risk of injury to the athletes. This system includes (ESP 32) development board which act as a microcontroller that interfaced with a Wi-Fi module and force sensing resistance (FSR) sensor to detect the force distribution of runner’s foot in (kg) unit. The system able to detect the foot force distribution acts by the runner and transmits the output data of the FSR sensor through the application which called Blynk. The experiments had done through two methods which are jogging and running. The force monitoring data was obtained through the Blynk Application via Wi-Fi. The design and development of insole monitoring system has successfully done and implemented on the runner.

Abstract:
Abstract This study investigated the effect of thermal treated eggshells powder on the mechanical properties of recycled high-density polyethylene (r-HDPE) composite. Thermal treated eggshellspowder, which was labelled as carbonised eggshells powder (CESP), was prepared at a low pyrolysis temperature of 400°C for one hour. The mechanical performance of the polymer composite reinforced with CESP was compared with the untreated dried raw eggshells powder (ESP) reinforced polymer composite. Each composite sample was prepared with a weight ratio of r-HDPE/filler varied at 90/10, 80/20, and 70/30. The polymer composite was prepared through a melt blending method in an internal mixture at 175° at 32 RPM mixing rate. The composite samples were tested flexural analysis, while structure and morphology were characterised using Fourier Infrared Transformer (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Based on the finding, the interfacial adhesion of the composite between filler and matrix has improved with ESP and CESP, respectively. The composite with CESP filler at 70/30 shows the optimum flexural strength and modulus of 32.21 MPa and 2.06 GPa, respectively. Overall, the introduction of CESP offers a better performance in improving the mechanical properties of the composite as compared to ESP.

Abstract:
Indoor positioning systems has become popular in this era where it is a network of devices used to locate people or object especially in indoor environment instead of satellite-based positioning. The satellite-based positioning global positioning system (GPS) signal is affected and loss incurred by the wall of the building causes the GPS lack of precision which leads to large positioning error. As a solution to the indoor area coverage problem, an indoor positioning based on bluetooth low energy (BLE) and long range (LoRa) system utilising the receive signal strength indicator (RSSI) is proposed, designed and tested. In this project, the prototype of indoor positioning system is built using node MCU ESP 32, LoRa nodes and BLE beacons. The node MCU ESP 32 will collect RSSI data from each BLE beacons that deployed at decided position around the area. Then, linear regression algorithm will be used in distance estimation. Next, particle filteris implemented to overcome the multipath fading effect and the trilateration technique is applied to estimate the user’s location. The estimated location is compared to the actual position to analyze the root mean square error (RMSE) and cumulative distribution function (CDF). Based on the experiment result, implementing the particle filter reduces the error of location accuracy. The particle filter achieves accuracy with 90% of the time the location error is lower than 2.6 meters.

Characterization of mercury emissions and their behavior were measured in six typical coal-fired power plants in China. During the tests, the flue gas was sampled simultaneously at inlet and outlet of selective catalyst reduction (SCR), electrostatic precipitators (ESP), and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) using the Ontario Hydro Method (OHM). The pulverized coal, bottom ash, fly ash and gypsum were also sampled in the field. Mercury concentrations in coal burned in the measured power plants ranged from 17 to 385 μg/kg. The mercury mass balances for the six power plants varied from 87 to 116% of the input coal mercury for the whole system. The total mercury concentrations in the flue gas from boilers were at the range of 1.92–27.15 μg/m3, which were significantly related to the mercury contents in burned coal. The mercury speciation in flue gas right after the boiler is influenced by the contents of halogen, mercury, and ash in the burned coal. The average mercury removal efficiencies of ESP, ESP plus wet FGD, and ESP plus dry FGD-FF systems were 24%, 73% and 66%, respectively, which were similar to the average removal efficiencies of pollution control device systems in other countries such as US, Japan and South Korea. The SCR system oxidized 16% elemental mercury and reduced about 32% of total mercury. Elemental mercury, accounting for 66–94% of total mercury, was the dominant species emitted to the atmosphere. The mercury emission factor was also calculated for each power plant.

This paper describes how we can integrate some of the available technology into our daily lives to create a safe and comfortable living environment. The provision of high-speed Internet makes it easy to access and monitor various types of devices in real-time from a desktop, a tablet or any device that has the capability to do so. With the help of this framework, all smart home sensors and devices can be tailored to the user's personal needs, and some of the parameters can even be observed and controlled using a mobile phone. There are a range of home automation systems on the market, but they are either generic or, if customizable, costly. The goal of this project was to develop secure and affordable home applications and to examine how some of the applications can be operated from very large distances using Wi-Fi and smartphone technology.

Foram realizadas 6 coletas no per�odo de fevereiro de 2014 � outubro de 2015. As amostras foram obtidas em cinco pontos de coleta: Farol, Cunani, Ponta do Cabo, Cassipor� e Marrecal. Os est�magos foram analisados para verificar o �ndice de reple��o estomacal atrav�s da escala: 1 - est�mago vazio; 2 � est�mago parcialmente vazio; 3 � e 4 � est�mago com alimento. A const�ncia de ocorr�ncia foi determinada para identificar quais esp�cies foram residentes no ambiente. Os itens alimentares identificados por est�mago foram analisados atrav�s do Grau de Prefer�ncia Alimentar. Foram amostrados 652 exemplares da ictioauna, pertencentes � 18 fam�lias e distribu�dos em 32 esp�cies. Do total de esp�cies, apenas 4 foram consideradas residentes: bagre (S. couma); tacariuna (S. passany), robalo cinza (Centropomus sp.) e mandi bagre (P. blochii). Dos 652 est�magos analisados, 71,26% apresentavam-se nos �ndices 2, 3 e 4 com presen�a de alimento e apenas 28,74% sem alimentos. Os per�odos de amostragem influenciaram significativamente na alimenta��o da ictiofauna (p<0,05). N�o houve varia��es significativas da atividade alimentar em rela��o aos pontos (p>0,05). Os exemplares de S. couma apresentou preferencias por caranguejo, S. passany por peixes e P. blochii teve preferencias por sedimentos. Observa-se que a maioria das esp�cies que comp�e o estudo possuem alto valor comercial ou ecol�gico, sendo essencial estrat�gias efetivas de gest�o e conserva��o da reserva.

The development of digital video as one of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has crossed the threshold in the fields of education. In other words, the use of video has triggered teachers to use it in teaching and learning English. The purpose of the study was to investigate students’ learning strategies in making video project assignments conducted by students in an English for Specific Purposes class. Totally, 32 Informatics Management students who were taking English course in the ESP class at State Polytechnic of Subang. The data were collected via the questionnaire and the focus group discussion in which 8 students volunteered to participate. The results from the questionnaire analysis revealed that the students showed positive attitudes where they frequently used Cognitive strategies (x̄ = 3,98), Social strategies (x̄ = 3,84), Metacognitive strategies (x̄ = 4,15). The focus group interview revealed the ways the students employed the three strategies above, they liked to practice strategies of concepting the content, strategies of interpersonal cooperation, and strategies of recalling the concept. The study suggested that using various learning strategies in making video project assignments would benefit and the outcomes could be attributed to the proficiency level in both languages and making videos to master English that would be essential for students’ future career.Keywords: Learning Strategies, Video Project Assignments, Technology

Abstract:
Various regional anesthesia (RA) techniques were shown to reduce pain after lung surgery, but controversies remain regarding the best technique to use to improve recovery. In this observational prospective study, the aim was to assess the efficacy of an RA strategy depending on the surgical approach. Patients who underwent lung surgery were included if an RA was planned following our unit procedure (erector spinae plane block (ESP) for video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) and thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) or intrathecal analgesia (IA) for thoracotomy). Patients were compared according to the RA used. In total, 116 patients were included, 70 (60%), 32 (28%), 14 (12%) in the ESP, TEA and IA groups, respectively. Between Day 1 and Day 3, median NRS values were ≤4 at rest, and <50% patients experienced moderate-to-severe pain in each group. There were no significant differences in opioid consumption and in pain at rest or during chest physiotherapy on Days 1 and 2 between groups. However, patients who received an IA had lower NRS than other groups on Day 0 and 3 and a shorter length of hospital stay in comparison with those who received a TEA. Thus, in our institution, a strategy combining ESP for VATS and TEA, or IA for thoracotomy, allowed for effective analgesia after a lung resection. Interestingly, IA appeared to be more effective than TEA in reducing the length of hospital stay and pain on Day 0 and 3.

Aim. Today, infections caused by vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE) are a major problem in the healthcare system. The aim of this study was to compare the antibiotic resistance and virulence traits between vancomycin-susceptible E. faecium (VSE) and VRE clinical isolates.Material and Methods. Studies were performed on 66 E. faecium (32 VRE and 34 VSE) strains. Susceptibility testing and identification were performed, and strains were examined for ß-lactamase, hemolysin and biofilm production. Isolates were tested for the presence of 5 van genes, 8 virulence genes and 6 aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme (AME) genes. Obtained amplicons were subjected to electrophoretical separation and DNA sequencing.Results. Among 32 VRE isolates, 28 were found to have the VanA phenotype, and 4 the VanB. The most frequent resistance and virulence profile among VRE strains was resistance to ampicillin, imipenem, gentamicin, streptomycin, teicoplanin, and vancomycin with enterococcal surface protein (esp), endocarditis antigen (efaA), collagen adhesin (acm), and hialuronidase (hyl) genes; among VSE: resistance to ampicillin, imipenem, gentamicin, streptomycin with esp, efaA, acm, and hyl genes. Conclusions. Our findings prove that both VRE and VSE strains were well equipped with virulence and resistance genes, although VRE strains were characterized by a greater variety and a higher number of these genes. However, statistical analysis revealed no significant differences between VSE and VRE strains (p > 0.05). Nevertheless, our results suggest that VRE strains may slowly acquire and incorporate resistance and virulence genes, due to their ability to survive in a hospital environment for a long time.

Internet of Things (loT) has opened up a myriad of applications in many areas, including medical and healthcare networks, smart home control, and environmental surveillance. IoT is supposed to bring about a large amount of progress in the ubiquitous computing sector. IoT-based energy management programs may allow a significant contribution to energy conservation. Therefore, this paper focuses on the design and implementation of an IoT based household electricity energy monitoring and electric bulb remote control for the reduction of electrical wastage using ESP 32-bit microcontroller. The ESP 32 microcontroller was used as the brain of the entire system which processes the energy consumption, temperature reading. Temperature monitoring can assist tremendously in the explosion and burning incidence avoidance, thereby saving lives and properties. The ESP32 microcontroller also handles the internet connectivity via its inbuilt WIFI module in order to transmit the real-time energy consumption, temperature reading, and electric bulb remote control over the internet. A MATLAB app was designed to serve as user interface for monitoring the household electricity energy consumption, temperature reading and electric bulb remote control via Thingspeak cloud server from MathWorks (makers of MATLAB) and also monitors the temperature and electricity consumed by the pressing iron and the hair dryer. Whenever, the electricity consumption or temperature reading exceeds the set threshold on the MATLAB app, a notification is sent to the user’s Email. The system could be used for reducing the wastage of electrical energy in the house by proper scheduling and monitoring of the appliances

This study aims to find out how Students of Nursing at Unika Santu paulus Ruteng, Flores implement self Directed Learning in learning English for Specific Purposes (ESP). It’s mixed method research combining the use of quantitative and qualitative study. For the purpose of quantitative study, it’s used total sampling. Therefore, all 6th semester students numbered 32 were chosen as the samples of the research. Meanwhile for the purpose of qualitative study, it’s chosen 6 students taken purposively. The research result showed that most students of Nursing Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng 23 (71.9%) implemented medium Self Directed Learning in learning English for Specific Purpose (ESP). It’s furthermore supported by the findings of qualitative study which was elaborated and described based on Self Directed Learning processes namely 1) self learning awareness, 2) planning to learn, 3) learning goal, 4) being discipline to learn, 5) self confident, 6) hard working to learn, and 7) originality. The findings would be the suggestions for school authorities in particular English teacher to plan for applying Self Directed Learning in learning English for Specific Purpose at Nursing Study program Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng, Flores. TBLT (Task Based Language Teaching) is an approach to language teaching that provides opportunities for students to engage in the authentic use of the target language through tasks. Writing is a process of formulating and organizing ideas in right words, delivering the writer’s purpose, and presenting them on a piece of paper. The objective of this research is to know the effectiveness of TBLT (Task Based Language Teaching) toward ESP students’ writing achievement at STIE Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb. Based on the research result on SPSS 24 calculation, it showed that t-value was 16,678, while t-table was 2,045 in the 5% of alpha significance level and 32 degrees of freedom (df). Thus, it indicates that the t-value is higher than t-table (16,678>1.693 and can be concluded that there was a significant difference between the two means. In addition, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) of the study was accepted and TBLT (Task Based Language Teaching) was an effective method in teaching writing.

ABSTRACT Over an 8-year period (1995 to 2002), 86 Enterococcus faecium blood isolates from 84 patients, of which 54 were ampicillin resistant (AREF) and 32 were ampicillin susceptible (ASEF), were studied in a university hospital (1,200 beds; serving a population of 600,000) in Spain, a country characterized by a near-absence of resistance to vancomycin and very high rates of ampicillin resistance among enterococci. Clonal relatedness by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), antibiotic susceptibility, presence of the virulence/epidemicity genes esp Efm and hyl Efm, and identification of purK alleles were studied. A group of isolates was also analyzed by amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) and multilocus sequence typing. Medical charts (30 variables collected) were reviewed for 60/84 patients. ASEF showed high clonal diversity (32 PFGE types, 11 purK alleles, 4 AFLP genogroups), did not harbor putative virulence genes, and had no specific association with hospital acquisition. AREF isolates belonged to a clonal complex (CC) of genetically related strains (purK-1, AFLP genogroup C), occasionally harboring putative virulence traits, and were from patients with particular risk factors. Within this CC, previously associated with vancomycin-resistant E. faecium isolates causing outbreaks worldwide (W. L. Homan et al., J. Clin. Microbiol. 40:1963-1971, 2002), a great genetic diversity of antibiotic resistance and virulence/epidemicity profiles was found. Associations between esp and a >7-day hospital stay and between purK-1, hospital location, and nosocomial acquisition were noted (P < 0.001). These findings reflect the importance of local environmental differences in the evolution of this CC, suggesting that the emergence of vancomycin resistance among AREF strains in Spain may be a question of time.

Untuk itu dibuatlah perancangan sistem kontrol over/under voltage relay ini menggunakan mikrokontroler STM32F103C8T6 dengan aktuatornya berupa relay. Keluaran tegangan rata-rata pada regulator untuk suplai mikrokontroler adalah 3.31V dan 5V. Untuk membaca nilai tegangan AC dari keluaran variable transformator atau listrik normal menggunakan sensor ZMPT101B yang menggunakan penundaan T/4OSG (Orthogonal Signal Generator). Pengaturan gain yang dilakukan pada sensor sebesar VPP=0,72V dilakukan pada tegangan terukur VAC=210 V, dimana nilai VPP adalah tegangan puncak antara positif dengan negatif gelombang keluaran ZMPT101B. Gelombang tersebut berosilasi pada nilai minimum 1,32 V dan nilai maksimum 2,040 V dengan titik offset VDC sebesar 1,677V. Nilai offset ini tidak bernilai 1,65V dikarenakan menyesuaikan tegangan referensi mikrokontroler. Metode kontrol yang digunakan adalah metode on/off pada relay. Keluaran alat menunjukkan 3 kondisi yaitu under voltage dimana tegangan dibawah 216V, normal voltage tegangan 216V-224V, dan over voltage tegangan diatas 224V. The current knowledge of the nature and distribution of sodic soils in South Australia is reviewed. The agriculturally developed area of South Australia lies south of latitude 32-degrees-S. and is mainly used for low intensity grazing and dry land cereal/sheep production. A high proportion of the State, including much of the high rainfall area, has soils which are sodic (>6% ESP) through a significant proportion of the profile but information on the precise nature of sodicity in these soils is limited. Where exchangeable cation data axe available, the analytical techniques used often did not precisely delineate between soluble salts in the soil and ions on exchange sites. Therefore, many of the datasets have major weaknesses and may be unreliable. Since many soils with ESP <6 also show dispersive characteristics typical of sodic soils, there is an urgent need for new sodicity studies relating to distribution and the criteria (ESP) used to identify dispersive soils. Information on the effect of sodicity on nutrient requirements of plants, especially the modern varieties, is scarce both locally and internationally, making development of management strategies for economically sustainable crop production difficult. Further, many different grades of gypsum are available in South Australia. Preliminary studies show the presence of impurities drastically influences gypsum dissolution characteristics. More effort is needed to assess the quality and reactivity of South Australian gypsum. Some effort has been directed by land managers towards reclamation and management of sodic soils by using both gypsum and lime either separately or as mixtures. However, there is neither a scientific basis for the application of gypsum-lime mixtures nor crop production data to support such management strategies.

Collaborative learning is a strategy of teaching and learning by grouping students to work together to solve a problem, complete an assignment, and produce a product. It increases learners’ motivation and promotes a harmonious atmosphere, decreasing classroom anxiety and facilitating interaction discussion and an individual sense of self-centeredness. At the same time, it enlarges students' knowledge and skills. One of the important skills is oral communication. Oral communication is an important skill to learn as it could express ideas and opinions. It uses to discuss knowledge and bridge the communication for ones who do not understand English. Therefore, this study aims to encourage students to do collaborative learning to strengthen their oral communication skills. The researcher used the action research method to see the improvement of the students’ communication skills. The subject was 32 students of the Accounting Department State Polytechnic of Malang. The study resulted that most students showed an improvement in all four language skills, but speaking skills had the greatest improvement.

SummaryIn a field study at exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) values of 11 and 32, subjecting a wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crop to waterlogging for 1, 2, 4 and 6 days at the time of first irrigation (25-day-old plants), significantly reduced tillering and plant height, delayed ear emergence and resulted in 8, 17, 27 and 39% reduction in grain yield, respectively. Waterlogging decreased oxygen diffusion rate (ODR), restricted root growth and reduced ion uptake, especially of N, P, K., Ca, Mg and Zn, and led to higher absorption of Na, Fe and Mn. However, the effects of waterlogging were more pronounced at higher alkalinity values. The results indicated that, to ensure optimum wheat yield in alkaline soils, waterlogging must be avoided.

This study aims to build an aquaponics automation tool to simplify the control of fish and vegetable cultivation. The objects that were taken in this study were nile tilapia and choy sum. In this study, testing was carried out in an aquarium and hydroponic pipe to control nutrition, water turbidity, light, pH, feed, and temperature. The main tools used to build this automation include Arduino ESP-32, GY-302 Ambient Light Intensity Sensor, DFRobot Gravity Analog pH Sensor, DS18B20 temperature sensor, 3-6V DC R140 DC motor, Relay Module6 Chanel 12V, RTC Module. DS130 and SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor. After the system testing process, it can be concluded that this tool can support the process of cultivating nile tilapia and choy sum properly and make it easier for farmers to monitor aquaponics.

This work addresses the effect of the total solar reflectance (TSR) value of paints applied in residential buildings upon their thermal performance. A semi-detached residential building was modeled in the ESP-r software, and taken as the basis for parametric studies which assessed the effects of variations in (i) the TSR values; (ii) the thermal characteristics of the building envelope; (iii) the location/climate; and: (iv) the way how the indoor temperature is controlled. The parametric studies were used to find optimal TSR values for each combination of Location + Building envelope characteristics (mainly the existence of thermal insulation). It was concluded that paints having a carefully chosen TSR value lead to better indoor thermal temperatures if the buildings have no mechanical heating or cooling, or to energy savings of up to 32% if they do.

The urgency for energy and material efficiency in the building sector increases every day. In the case of Switzerland, a buildings main energy demand occurs during its use/operation phase and is mainly related to heating demands during the winter season. As a means of reducing these demands, current building practice in Switzerland is to insulate with 30cm of foam and to mechanically control indoor environments. Recent research has shown, however, that alternatives to current practice are readily available. With these alternative techniques, natural materials with low embodied energy are used to produce high efficiency building envelopes. The bahareque construction method (bamboo plastered with mortar cement) studied in this paper has been identified as a promising technology both in terms of producing energy efficient building envelopes and also with regards to reducing the environmental impact associated with the construction of buildings in Switzerland. The main objective of the research presented here was to identify the Environmental Savings Potential (ESP) of bahareque in comparison with state of the art technologies in Switzerland. The calculations were geographically limited to Switzerland and the main data sets used for the life cycle assessment models corresponded to this region. Specific datasets were developed for bamboo and bahareque to account for transoceanic transportation. The results showed that bahareque achieves an ESP of 32% compared with clay brick construction and 40% when compared with concrete block construction. It was shown that it is feasible to develop highly efficient building envelopes with low embodied energy that can be used within the Swiss context.

The State of Esp&iacute;rito Santo, Brazil, has micro-regions with different climatic and soil conditions, which promote grapevine cultivation vine in several municipalities. However, the grape production process is strongly threatened by foliar fungal diseases, and its control increases the cost of production significantly. In turn, the use of models of prediction of disease occurrence allows the identification of regions with climatic risk potential for grapevine. Hence, the objective of this work was to analyze the agro-climatic favorability of climatic risk for occurrence of fungal diseases of downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) and Botrytis cinerea on the grapevine for the municipality of Santa Teresa, in the state of Esp&iacute;rito Santo. Predictive models of favorability of downy mildew and B. cinerea were used. The number of sprayings was determined by the calendar system and by the rainfall system, according to the length of the cycle. Therefore, a series of meteorological data from 2007 to 2016 was used. The results showed that the frequency of days with low risk of mildew was 2%, medium risk 5%, high risk 93%. For B. cinerea, these values were 32%, 68%, and 0%, with low, medium and high risk, respectively. The number of required sprayings, according to the weather conditions, was lower than the number of sprayings recommended by the calendar system. The relationship between the risk of occurrence of the evaluated diseases showed a higher agro-meteorological favorability of occurrence of mildew in relation to B. cinerea.

Abstract:
Neiguan (PC-6) is a traditional acupoint in each forearm and overlies the trunk of the median nerve. Previous studies show that electroacupuncture (EA) at the Neiguan acupoint could improve not only myocardial ischemic dysfunction by inducing a depressor response but also recover hemorrhagic hypotension by inducing a pressor response. However, their physiological mechanisms are not yet elucidated. We investigated the pressor effect of Neiguan EA and its mechanism by focusing on left ventricular (LV) performance in a canine hemorrhagic hypotension model. We hemorrhaged 36 anesthetized and thoracotomized mongrel dogs and decreased LV end-systolic pressure (ESP) to ∼70 mmHg (35% decrease). We obtained LV pressure-volume (P-V) data with a micromanometer catheter and a conductance catheter. One-hour Neiguan EA significantly recovered the decreased ESP, end-diastolic volume, and stroke volume by 32 ± 13%, 27 ± 13%, and 39 ± 17%, respectively ( P < 0.05), without changing heart rate and the slope of the end-systolic P-V relation. Neiguan EA inhibited a hemorrhage-induced increase in plasma catecholamines. However, vecuronium (neuromuscular blocking agent) administration abolished the antihypotension effect of Neiguan EA. Furthermore, Neiguan EA was much more effective than a nonacupoint thigh EA. We conclude that Neiguan EA achieved the antihypotension effect by improving LV filling of the hemorrhage-depressed LV performance despite the inhibition of the hemorrhage-increased plasma catecholamines. This pressor effect seemed to accompany an increased venous return by Neiguan EA-increased vasomotor tone and muscle pump. This study demonstrated a scientific basis for the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of hemorrhagic hypotension and shock.

Clonal selection of European winegrapes (Vitis vinifera) allows the exploitation of an important source of genetic diversity. In the 1980s, many `Pinot noir' clones, previously unavailable in the U.S., were imported from France. To provide information on their performance under Oregon soil and climate conditions, 20 `Pinot noir' clones were established in a replicated trial in Alpine, Ore., planted in 1989. In this study, yield components, pruning weight, and juice composition of the 20 clones were measured for the 1995 through 1999 seasons. Skin anthocyanin concentration was measured for the 1996 through 1999 seasons. Clones included in the trial were Colmar (COL) 538, Dijon (DJN) 10/18, DJN 113, DJN 114, DJN 115, DJN 375, DJN 60, Espiguette (ESP) 236, ESP 374, Foundation Plant Services (FPS) 2A, FPS 4, FPS 10, FPS 16, FPS 17, FPS 22, FPS 23, FPS 29, FPS 31, FPS 32, and FPS 33. For all responses except juice pH and skin anthocyanin concentration, there were significant clone by year interactions. COL 538 had the highest 5-year mean yield (2.93 kg/vine); FPS 29 had the lowest (1.21 kg/vine). DJN 10/18, FPS 4, FPS 22, and FPS 31 were among the five highest-yielding clones. Other low-yielding clones included DJN 115, ESP 374, FPS 17, and FPS 23. Pruning weights were generally correlated with yields. COL 538 had the highest 5-year mean pruning weight (0.81 kg/vine) and FPS 17 had the lowest (0.48 kg/vine). Other clones with relatively high pruning weights were FPS 2A, FPS 4, and FPS 22. Other clones with low pruning weights were FPS 23 and FPS 29. FPS 22 and FPS 17 had the highest (1.13 g/berry) and lowest (0.93 g/berry) 5-year mean berry weights, respectively. Clones with 5-year mean cluster weights >100 g included DJN 10/18, ESP 236, and FPS 31. Those with cluster weights <80 g were DJN 115, FPS 17, and FPS 29. FPS 2A had the highest 5-year mean juice soluble solids concentration (SSC) at harvest (23.8%). FPS 10, FPS 29, DJN 113, and DJN 115 also had relatively high SSC. DJN 60 had the lowest 5-year mean SSC at harvest (22.0%). FPS 22, FPS 33, COL 538, and ESP 374 also had relatively low 5-year mean SSC at harvest. DJN 115 had the highest 5-year mean juice pH (3.15). DJN 113, FPS 29, and FPS 10 also had relatively high juice pH. FPS 22 had the lowest 5-year mean juice pH at harvest (2.97), and DJN 10/18, FPS 2A, and FPS 17 also had relatively low pH. Clones with higher SSC and pH generally had lower titratable acidity. FPS 2A had both high SSC and high titratable acidity. FPS 23 and FPS 17 had the highest skin anthocyanin concentration (2.10 and 2.07 mg·g-1 berry, respectively). The range of skin anthocyanin concentration among the other clones was relatively narrow (1.17-1.47 mg·g-1 berry). FPS 2A, FPS 4, and FPS 10 generally had above mean SSC and yield. FPS 29, DJN 113, DJN 114, and DJN 115 consistently had above mean SSC but below mean yield.

Abstract Patients (pts) with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) often develop clinically significant anemia due to ineffective hematopoiesis. Using the erythropoiesis-stimulating protein (ESP) epoetin alfa to treat anemia results in an average response rate of approximately 30% (40% when used with G-CSF) in low-risk MDS pts. Darbepoetin alfa (DA) (150 to 300 mcg/week) also effectively increases hemoglobin (Hb) concentrations and reduces red blood cell transfusion requirements in these pts. This study is a phase 2, single-arm, open-label trial (with a planned sample size of 200 pts), evaluating the efficacy of DA 500 mcg given SC every 3 weeks (Q3W) for treating anemia in low-risk MDS pts during the 13-week (wk) test period. Eligible pts had low or intermediate-1 risk MDS (IPSS/FAB criteria), anemia (Hb ≤11 g/dL), and no previous or ongoing chemotherapy or biologic response modifiers (except for ESPs [stopped ≥7 days and ≤1 month before enrollment] and G-CSF [allowed for infection before enrollment]). The primary endpoint is the proportion of pts achieving an erythroid response during the test period. Secondary endpoints include the change in Hb from baseline at wk 13, transfusion incidence, and impact on pt-reported fatigue. This study has completed enrollment and data are available from a planned interim analysis of the first 100 pts; 63 pts were not treated with an ESP before enrollment (ESP-naive ([EN]). Of the EN pts, 51% were female, 81% were white, 73% had low-risk MDS, 22% had intermediate-1 risk MDS, 60% had refractory anemia (RA), 30% had RA with ringed sideroblasts (RARS), and 10% had RA with excess blasts (RAEB). Results for EN pts are shown in the table. Of the 37 pts treated with an ESP before enrollment, the crude percentage (95% CL) with an overall (major plus minor) erythroid response was 36% (20, 53), the crude percentage (95% CL) with a major erythroid response was 21% (7, 35), and the crude percentage (95% CL) that required transfusions during wks 1 to 13 was 32% (17, 48 ). During the test period, 16% of all pts reported a serious adverse event (none were considered treatment-related). Injection site pain (reported by 4% of pts) was the most common treatment-related adverse event. No thromboembolic events have been reported. Interim results from this fully-enrolled study indicate that DA 500 mcg Q3W appears to be well tolerated and capable of increasing Hb levels in low-risk MDS pts. Final results for the primary endpoint will be presented. Abstract Background Previous reports have found that the Faroe Islands has the highest reported incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the world.1,2 The purpose of this study was to update our previous work on the IBD incidence from 1960–20142 with data up until 2020 and to describe the prevalence of IBD over 60 years. Methods All cases of Crohn’s disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC) and IBD unclassified (IBDU) diagnosed between 1960 to 2020, including all age groups and year of death, were retrieved from the Medical Centre at the National Hospital of the Faroe Islands. Diagnoses were ascertained according to the Copenhagen Diagnostic Criteria. Population data from 1960–2020 were retrieved from Statistics Denmark and Statistics Faroe Islands. Point prevalence rates (per 100,000) were estimated as all IBD patients alive and living in the Faroe Islands by the end of 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020, divided by the Faroese population (end of year). Results 232 individuals have been diagnosed with IBD during the past 6 years in the Faroe Islands: 29 (12%) with CD, 111 (48%) with UC and 92 (40%) with IBDU, resulting in an increased age-standardised IBD incidence rate (European Standard Population, ESP) from 74 per 100,000 person-years (py) in 2010–14 to 80 in 2015–20. Figure 1 illustrates the updated IBD incidence rate integrated with results from our previous study.2 The point prevalence rate of IBD was 5,8 cases per 100,000 persons in 1960; 46,6 in 1970; 133,9 in 1980; 325,4 in 1990; 610,7 in 2000; 925,1 in 2010 and 1407,9 cases per 100,000 in 2020, corresponding to 1,4% of the Faroese population living with IBD in 2020 compared to 0,6% in 2000. Conclusion The increasing incidence of IBD from 2015–2020 is mainly driven by IBDU, accounting for 40% of all cases and has increased from 21 per 100,000 (ESP) in 2010–14 to 32 in 2015–2020. The age-standardised incidence rate of CD remains unchanged compared to our previous study, at 10 per 100,000 (ESP), while the incidence of UC has decreased from 44 to 39 per 100,000 (ESP). The prevalence of IBD has increased radically in accordance with the increasing incidence. Andrographolide (AGH) is a hepatitis C anti-viral agent which targets the host cell by covalently binding with the NF-κBreceptor. The experimental electron density distribution study of AGH has been carried out from high-resolution X-ray diffraction data collected at 110.2 (3) K. The unit-cell packing of AGH was stabilized by strong O—H...O and weak C—H...O types of intermolecular interactions. The dissociation energy of the strong hydrogen bond O2—H22...O1 is very high, 32 kJ mol−1. The percentage occupancy of H...H interactions is found to be maximum (68.5%) when it comparing with the other types of interactions occurring in the AGH crystalline phase. The atomic valance index (V topo) of the C16 atom is low compared with other carbon atoms; this shows that C16 could be the possible reactive location of the AGH molecule. All atoms in the OH groups have very low V topo values; this indicates their role in strong hydrogen bonding interactions. The electrostatic potential (ESP) surface of AGH shows the polarization of the C16=C17 bond and ESP contour map shows several maxima at the vicinity of the C16 atom; these results strongly demonstrate that the C16 atom is the reactive location of the AGH molecule. The molecular covalent docking analysis of AGH with the NF-κB receptor has been performed and confirmed this result. The highly electronegative region around γ-butyrolactone can be helpful for initial alignment of the AGH molecule in NF-κB receptor active site. The atomic volumes of the hydrogen atoms which participate in the H...H interaction are found to be low.

Mesin sortir berbasis image processing ini berfungsi untuk menyortir benda kerja sesuai dengan warna dan bentuk. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan modul ESP 32 Cam untuk membaca benda kerja biru dan hijau. selain itu, mesin ini juga dilengkapi solenoid ejector sebagai pendorong benda kerja dari penampungan ke tempat penyimpanan hasil sortir. Pengujian untuk mengetahui pengaruh input dan output proses dan kinerja serta fungsi SCADA sebagai sebuah sistem pemntauan dan pengendali proses mesin sortir telah dilakukan. Hasilnya SCADA dapat berfungsi dengan baik untuk memantau dan mengontrol proses mesin sortir permen. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan terhubungnya semua peralatan SCADA, PLC outseal, dan hardware mesin sortir.

Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the newest matters in both industry and academia of the communication engineering world. On the other hand, wireless mesh networks, a network topology that has been debate for decades that haven’t been put into use in great scale, can make a transformation when it arises to the network in the IoT world nowadays. A Mesh IoT network is a local network architecture in which linked devices cooperate and route data using a specified protocol. Typically, IoT devices exchange sensor data by connecting to an IoT gateway. However, there are certain limitations if it involves to large number of sensors and the data that should be received is difficult to analyze. The aim of the work here is to implement a self-configuring mesh network in IoT sensor devices for better independent data collection quality. The research conducted in this paper is to build a mesh network using NodeMCU ESP 8266 and NodeMCU ESP 32 with two types of sensor, DHT 11 and DHT 22. Hence, the work here has evaluated on the delay performance metric in Line-of-Sight (LoS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (nLos) situation based on different network connectivity. The results give shorter delay time in LoS condition for all connected nodes as well as when any node fail to function in the mesh network compared to nLoS condition. The paper demonstrates that the IoT sensor devices composing the mesh network is a must to leverage the link communication performance for data collection in order to be used in IoT-based application such as fertigation system. It will certainly make a difference in the industry once being deployed on large scale in the IoT world and make the IoT more accessible to a wider audience.

Abstract:
Teaching reading not only reads the literature but also comprehends the text, including in teaching ESP reading. Several issues in teaching ESP reading comprehension can be barrier for the success of the teaching and learning process which needs to integrate technology such as smartphone that come up as media to make teaching strategy run well. Online Students Response Systems platform via smartphone can be one of alternatives for teaching reading. This study was aimed to know the effect of Students Response Systems using (Kahoot! and Socrative) toward English for Management students reading comprehension. D1 Equivalent English program students was engaged, 37 (7 males and 30 females) from Management students of A-class as treatment group while control group from B class consisted of 38 students (6 males and 32 females). Quantitative quasi experimental and descriptive quantitative survey as the designs of this study. Pre and posttest as the first instrument analyzed by using T-test while Likert-scale questionnaire as the second instrument analyzed to find the frequencies and percentages. The result shows that the increasing correlation between pre-test and post-test in treatment group is 64,1%, while the increasing correlation between pretest and post-test in control group is 30,8%. The post-test scores of both two groups in Independent T-test showed significant difference improvement with the score of Sig. is 0,670 > 0,05 and the score in “equal variances assumed” showed that significance 2 tail (t-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. From that result, teaching using SRS (Kahoot! and Socrative) is effective for enhancing Management learners’ reading comprehension. The students’ perspectives related to the SRS (Kahoot! and Socrative) usage is dominated by positive perceptions’ statement of agree and strongly agree. However, this study found factor that necessary to be consideration that is accommodating the time management.

Monitoring the condition of premature babies inside the baby incubator is very necessary. Babies who are born prematurely with a birth age of less than 38 weeks have a higher risk of death and difficulty to adapt outside the womb due to immaturity of the organ system. Premature babies need continuous monitoring by the nurse to find out the baby's body condition remains stable in temperature and humidity to match the conditions in the womb. The purpose of this research to develop a baby incubator temperature and humidity monitoring system quickly and practically. As technology develops, the monitoring process that was initially carried out by looking directly at the baby incubator display, now developed with various innovations that make it easier to monitor premature babies. The baby incubator temperature and humidity monitoring center module via the WiFi network uses a temperature sensor and DHT 22 which will be sent via WiFi ESP 32 and the values ​​obtained will be displayed on the nextion tft display. Based on the measurement results obtained the largest temperature error value of 2.083% at the incubator client 1 temperature at the measurement point 32 ° C. The results showed that the device has an average error suitable for use, because based on ecri 415-20010301-01, the maximum allowable error limit is ± 1 ° C. The results of this study can be implemented to make it easier for nurses to monitor premature babies to avoid neglect.

Tata kelola sampah yang kurang baik dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kebersihan lingkungan terutama membuang sampah pada tempatnya menyebabkan sampah menumpuk dan mengeluarkan bau busuk yang dapat menjadi sumber penularan penyakit. Kurangnya teknologi informasi pengelolaan sampah oleh petugas kebersihan menyebabkan penanganan sampah menjadi lambat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya tempat sampah otomatis pemilah sampah organik dan anorganik agar sesuai dengan jenis tempat sampahnya serta menambahkan fungsi IOT(Internet Of Things) yang dapat memberikan informasi lebih awal bahwa tempat sampah telah penuh untuk diproses dengan cepat. Prototipe tempat sampah pintar menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP 32 sebagai kontrol sistem. Sensor proximity induktif dan kapasitif untuk mendeteksi jenis sampah organik atau anorganik. Servo untuk mengendalikan pintu tempat sampah dan memilah sampah. Sensor ultrasonik untuk mendeteksi keberadaan manusia dan ketinggian sampah. Hasil dari pembuatan alat didapatkan keberhasilan deteksi sampah organik 95%, deteksi sampah anorganik 97,5%, sensor jarak buka tutup 99,26%, sensor jarak organik 99,07%, sensor jarak anorganik 99,21% dan dapat mengirimkan hasil monitoring secara real time serta notifikasi ke aplikasi android sebagai pemberitahuan jika tempat sampah telah penuh.
