Abstract:
This paper evaluates whether SFR metallic nuclear fuel can be economical. To make this determination, the cost of SFCF (SFR fuel cycle facilities) was estimated, and the break-even point of the manufacturing cost of SFR metallic nuclear fuel for direct disposal option was then calculated. As a result of the cost estimation, the levelized unit cost (LUC) for SFCF was calculated to be 5,311 $/kgHM, and the break-even point was calculated to be $5,267/kgHM. Therefore, the cost difference between LUC and the break-even point is not only small but is also within the relevant range of the uncertaint

The controversial problem of the distribution of fixed costs has been the subject of our research for many years. In the economic literature, textbooks, accounting standards, different methods of allocating fixed costs were proposed: in proportion to "direct wages", "materials", "revenue", "normal hours", etc. If you agree with this position, there may be several “cost”, “break-even points”, profit and profitability indicators for the same set of products. Accordingly, there can be several solutions? In practice, most industrial enterprises use direct wages with accruals to calculate the cost

The measurement of the energy consumption of electrical appliances, where the meter is installed at a single point on the main input circuit of the building, is called non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM). The NILM method can distinguish the loads that are currently active and break down how the loads consume electricity. A microcontroller with embedded software was selected to read the data into the NILM method process at a low sampling rate every 1 s or 1 Hz. The measured data and the data obtained by the NILM algorithm were displayed via an internet platform. This article presents an altern

With exemption of a few private forests, timber harvesting in most plantation forests in Tanzania is carried out by less skilled and less equipped crews. Newly recruited crews often learn from experienced ones which may not be doing it in the perfect way. Therefore estimation and projecting production and costs becomes a big problem to logging managers. This study was carried out to develop productivity and costs models for chainsaw operators in a learning experiment. The experiments were designed in clear felling operations. Consequently, the precise estimation of flyrock has garnered substantial attention as a prominent research domain. In global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs)-based positioning, user receiver clock jump is a common phenomenon on the low-cost receiver clocks and can break the continuity of observation time tag, carrier phase and pseudo range. The discontinuity may affect precise point positioning-related parameter estimation, including receiver clock error, position, troposphere and ionosphere parameters. It is important to note that these parameters can be used for timing, positioning, atmospheric inversion and so on. In response to this problem, the receiver clock jumps are divided into two types. Abstract Many problems in science and engineering require making predictions based on few observations. To build a robust predictive model, these sparse data may need to be augmented with simulated data, especially when the design space is multi-dimensional. Simulations, however, often suffer from an inherent bias. Estimation of this bias may be poorly constrained not only because of data sparsity, but also because traditional predictive models fit only one type of observed outputs, such as scalars or images, instead of all available output data modalities, which might have been acquired and s

Routing in adhoc networks is a challenge as nodes are mobile, and links are constantly created and broken. Present ondemand adhoc routing algorithms initiate route discovery after a path breaks, incurring significant cost to detect disconnection and establish a new route. Specifically, when a path is about to be broken, the source is warned of the likelihood of a disconnection. The source then initiates path discovery early, avoiding disconnection totally. A path is considered about to break when link availability decreases. This study modifies Adhoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector routing
