Abstract:
There has been an increasing interest on the work ethics and its various aspects among the academicians and practitioners. This is partly because of the ethical scandals that have occurred in the recent years and got attention from media and public and therefore raised the questions regarding ethical standards of companies and its practical use in the business life. This interest has prompted several research into the topic both theoretical and practical levels. Although the studies have accumulated in the Western World, the studies coming from the developing countries are limited and thus call for the studies to further investigate the dynamics and implications of the work ethics. This study particularly pays attention to Islamic work ethic and aims to identify whether Islamic work ethic values differ across various demographic variables and firm characteristics. The study also investigates the relationship between the Islamic work ethic and innovation capability and firm performance. The study is supported with a field study conducted on the firms operating in KahramanmaraÅŸ in Turkey. The obtained data was analyzed by using Correlation, ANOVA, T-test and Regression in SPSS. The results showed that IWE values differ across some characteristic of the respondents and firms. This text presents, from an educational aim, an interpretation of the sport ethics understood as concretion of the civic ethics applied to the sporting event. When analysing the origin of sport educational values, we conclude that these are grouped around two major poles: intrinsic values related to their practical dimension and extrinsic values related to its social sphere. This paper argues that, when it refers to the field of external values from the social context, these can only be understood as a concretion of the moral principles dominated by the society that gave birth to modern sport: the civic ethics.

Abstract:
Confucianism is the name of one of the schools of Chinese philosophy. The founder of Confucianism was named Confucius. In an age when division, turmoil and constant wars are rampant, Confucius wants to restore the order of heaven (Tianming) so as to unify China and bring peace and prosperity to the people. The humanistic teachings of Confucianism developed into one of the most important things in Chinese civilization. Confucius' most profound teachings lay in his emphasis on self- development or self-civilization, moral example and the ability to make well-trained decisions rather than knowledge of natural laws. His ethics then, is more of a benevolent ethic. The concepts of humanism introduced in Confucianism are: Zhengming (justification, upholding one's name), Yi (virtue), Ren (human kindness), Xiao (respect), Li (ritual), Tianming (sky order). In Chinese terms, Confucianism refers to two meanings: Ju Chiao which refers to religious teachings and Ju Chia which refers to philosophical schools. As Ju Chiao in the religious field the term T'ien or Tian is the main spiritual factor. In the Confucian teachings about Tianming or the orders of the sky, the content is that T'ien gives the power of a country to people he chooses, namely those who are deemed capable of leading a country. PurposeThis study aims at presenting a normative approach in adaptation of the ethics of care approach and stakeholder theory. Therefore, it seeks to present a point‐of‐view regarding the related issues.Design/methodology/approachThe study focuses on a theory‐based integration process, since it is designed on a normative basis and the current studies dealing with “ethic of care theory” still have some problems in practical terms.FindingsIt is observed that ethics of care and stakeholder theory are getting more and more interrelated due to established networks and available common points. As a subfield of feminist ethic, ethics of care can be used to clarify moral principles lying behind these relationships. From another point of view, the discussion regarding the feminization of business enterprises focuses on the idea that such discussions involving the principles lying behind feminist ethics can provide an advantage for the companies in terms of competition. In addition, ethics of care is expected to contribute to stakeholder theory to a great extent.Research limitations/implicationsThe related literature includes a rather limited number of studies conducted on this research topic. The available research explains some relationships on a normative basis. Therefore, the current study is expected to contribute to the expansion of such research in the field.Practical implicationsDespite the presence of studies in the field, there is still a limitation in putting the findings of studies into practice. Since the country where the current study is conducted still suffers from ambiguities regarding the definitions of concepts and it is very difficult to find business enterprises appreciating feminist values, although they are taught to adopt philanthropy applications, the study is limited to a normative point‐of‐view regarding the issues.Originality/valueThe scope of the study is expected to contribute to a great extent to the integration of feminist ethic and stakeholder theory. Similarly, it will encourage further studies on the issue.

Ethics is a field of philosophy that discusses the moral principles that govern humanbehavior, while politics deals with decision-making and the management of power in society. In Islam, political ethics is a concept that regulates human relationships in the political world.Islamic political ethics consists of a collection of moral values and principles that should guide everyone involved in political activities, both as citizens and leaders. Islamic political ethics has a strong relevance in the context of politics and governance. The moral values in Islam can serve as guidelines for leaders and citizens in building a better society. Despite the challenges faced, ongoing efforts to implement Islamic political ethics are considered essential in building an ideal and ethical government. It is important to build a just, prosperous, and moral society through the application of Islamic political ethics, which includes principles such as justice, equality, democracy, deliberation, freedom, and respect for the rights of others. In addition, this journal reviews the methods Ali Shari'ati used to make his assertions about the importance of Islam as a basic political ethic. A just, moral, and prosperous government can be achieved through the application of Islamic political ethics. Political ethics is not a convoluted system, but rather a number of noble values that are in line with the principles of Islam.

Abstract:
In global contemporary education, where character development and ethical growth are acknowledged as integral components, the incorporation of moral and ethical values in textbooks assumes paramount significance. However, in the context of Indonesian schools, especially Islamic institutions, government-endorsed English as a Foreign Language (EFL) textbooks often lack alignment with religious values, particularly Islamic ethics. This critical discourse analysis study aims to investigate the representation of Islamic ethics values in the EFL textbooks sanctioned by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture for Islamic Senior High Schools. Employing language appraisal theory and visual grammar theory, the research evaluates the extent to which the content aligns with Islamic ethics values within the framework of Indonesian religious norms. This study highlights the need for further research on Islamic ethics values within Indonesian English Language Teaching (ELT) textbooks, a step toward fostering a deeper understanding of Islamic principles in ELT contexts. The findings of this study demonstrate that the EFL textbook effectively incorporates Islamic ethic values, including kindness, being friendly and polite, and respecting boundaries, consistently throughout the text. Both visual and verbal texts illustrate how these values are integrated into current topics to nurture moral development among students. In addition, the inclusivity of these textbooks exceeds expectations, as they are designed for all senior high schools without targeting any specific group. Nevertheless, it successfully instils Islamic ethical values, emphasizing their significance in shaping students' moral awareness and behaviour in diverse social interactions. The implication of this study is a deeper understanding of the current state of EFL textbooks in relation to Islamic ethical values, adding to the empirical knowledge base in the field of education.

Health, one of the fundamental human rights, should be eligible and attainable and it should be provided equal to everybody. Advances in the field of medicine and technology today may sometimes cause the line between life and death to become uncertain in health field. Also, along with some value problems the importance of ethic in working life has increased gradually. Ethic is a department of philosophy which investigates the quality and fundamentals of values underlying the relations between people and it is to examine good or bad or right or wrong morally. It leads to what should or should not be do in professional works and presents the necessary moral values so that science and technology do not damage the society. The concept of ethic has a different importance for operating room nursery as well as in all fields of nursery. Operating rooms are the areas where patients expose to a significant attempt like surgery. They are stressful atmospheres that patients are unconscious due to anaesthesia, there are many technological devices around, a multidisciplinar team works together, there are life-threatening situations and the events that require to make fast decisions happen very often in this process. In addition, they are the places where harmful risks such as encountering of patients with injury, infection and tocsic materials are high. Because of all of these features, operating room nurses may often experience ethical problems. Eventually, nurses who are important members of health teams often encounter with the situations that require to make decisions due to their expanding roles and responsibilities, continuous communication with patients and team and busy working conditions. Nurses have to decide according to ethical principles and take the responsibility of these decisions. Thus, ethical sensitivity has to be developed in risky environments where ethical problems are often experienced such as operating rooms. In this context, educators in undergraduate education should effort to bring basic ethical principles to nursery students, to make the importance of ethic in professional work to be understood and to develop ethical sensitivity. Nurse administrators also should reinforce this development in post-graduate process. Importance of ethic for operating room nurses, study results for frequently encountered ethical problems and operating room nursery in terms of general ethical principles are presented in this collection.

A longstanding debate has been whether religion plays a role in workplace values. Most religions have an ethical component. In recent years an increasing presence of religious approaches, in both empirical and conceptual research, can be noted, in spite of some objections to the presence of religions in the work ethics field. Empirical research, generally based on psychological and sociological studies, shows the influence of religious faith on several work issues. Conceptual research includes a variety of work ethics issues studied from the perspectives of different religions and wisdom traditions such as Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. Ethics, which is a major branch of philosophy, encompasses right conduct and good life. It is significantly broader than the common conception of analyzing right and wrong. Islamic work ethic is a modern multidimensional construct, linking organizational prosperity and social welfare, therefore, the current research seeks to strengthen the role of IWE, expand the understanding of its dimensions.

Who faces a neoplastic disease is more bewildered than in the past, in spite of the improvement of the possibility of cure and priority attributed to this subject by the health institutions and medicine, compared to few decades ago. Nevertheless, disorientation is increasing due to many factors, also beyond those of the scientific and welfare context of cancer and is related to the general background of crisis. The landscape of crisis involves the changes occurring in both epistemic and contextual values, and methodology of science at large, as well as those particular of the medical field, including oncology. The perceived loss of reliability of universal laws and the limits of general theories, in favor of the conception that elementary events concurr to outcomes, makes the scientific appraisal more probabilistic than deterministic. This framework of “complexity” is characterized by non-linearity in the causal links, the opacity of the investigated subject, and the emergence of the phenomena we observe and analyze. In oncological medicine, the present deterministic “gold standard” of the random comparative trials, grounding the so-called evidence-based medicine (EBM), and the guidelines for clinical management – although being the most reliable resource – are critically considered. This study critically analyses the urgency of establishing an ethos of discourse and action for the realization of an integral planetary ethic that is capable of addressing the challenges of our time. To this end, this study seeks to systematize ethos propositions for the implementation of intercultural education based on integral ecological ethics, aligning with the concept of Common Home. The outputs indicate that integral ecological ethics serves as a teleological, epistemic, and methodological support for intercultural education, while also proposing concrete pathways for the application of the values articulated in the encyclical Laudato si’ within educational contexts. The development of this study is guided by a qualitative research approach, integrating literature review and field study methodologies, which illuminate the perspectives of educators, students, and their families regarding well-being in both current and future contexts. The conclusions underscore the urgency of establishing an ethos of discourse and action in the implementation of integral planetary ethics, which relates to the integrative and dialogical propositions of intercultural education aimed at sustaining the integrity of both human and planetary dimensions.

Abstract:
To contribute to achieving local and global sustainability, we propose a novel educational methodology, called field environmental philosophy (FEP), which orients ecotourism practices to reconnect citizens and nature. FEP is based on the systemic approach of the biocultural ethic that values the vital links among the life habits of co-inhabitants (humans and other-than-humans) who share a common habitat. Based on this “3Hs” model (habitats, co-inhabitants, habits), FEP combines tourism with experiential education to reorient biocultural homogenization toward biocultural conservation. FEP’s methodological approach seeks to integrate social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainability by generating new links between biological and cultural diversity at different spatial and social scales. Ecotourism has an underutilized potential to link sciences with education and conservation practices at different scales. By incorporating a philosophical foundation, FEP broadens both understanding and practices of environmental education and sustainable tourism. FEP has been developed at the Omora Ethnobotanical Park in the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve, Chile, at the southern end of the Americas since 2000, where it has oriented transdisciplinary work for the creation of new protected areas and ecotourism practices. FEP enables an integration of biophysical, cultural, and institutional dimensions into the design of ecotourism activities that transform and broaden the perceptions of tourists, local guides, students, and other participants to better appreciate local biological and cultural diversity. FEP’s methodology is starting to be adapted in other world regions, such as Germany, Japan, and Mexico, to integrate education and ecotourism for sustainability.

Abstract In this article, the two leaders and fifteen participants in the seminar “Archival Methodologies Reimagined: Responding to Tomorrow’s Dilemmas,” held during the 2023 Summer Institute of the Rhetoric Society of America, report on three critical arcs that emerged from their investigations, together and apart. Specifically, they interrogate prior conceptions of archival liberation and power, identify several deeply embedded culturally corrective values that have tended to guide archival work in the field, and suggest an ethic of approaching the archives as “starting, not finding.”

Abstract:
One Way to See the World. Violence as a Subject of the Ethical Discourse in the 1930s. Ethical literary criticism has made a spectacular comeback in the field of literary research. This form of criticism is described in France by Antoine Compagnon, professor at the Collège de France, as a “reflection on the values created and transmitted by literature”. It seems to us that the third volume of A. H. Tammsaare’s novel Tõde ja õigus (1931, translated into French as Jours d’émeutes), focuses on violence as an object of Ethical Literary Criticism. Does this text not echo the Critique of Violence (1921), written by his contemporary, Walter Benjamin?Tammsaare’s character Indrek questions right, justice and ethic. He has to cope with his historical time and his family problems. Tammsaare depicts the opposition between the group ethic and the private one. Indrek rejects readymade thinking when adapting himself to situations, accordingly he makes a difference between the political violence and the private once. Ten years earlier, Benjamin had written a paper which had questioned the use of violence in preserving law and justice. He had included in his remarks also ethical and religious problems. Privately, Indrek obeys his mother’s request for euthanasia as a compensatory act for her sin he is the embodiment of. So, according to his values, his personal ethic requires him to restore his mother’s peace of mind. This act puts him into a paradoxical situation out of which he has to find his own way according to his own ethical standards.

Conducive conditions of organizational culture in whichstandardized regulations have been arranged, then organizational culture will not have an impact onemployee performance through employee motivation. This condition is caused by the motivation ofemployees who tend not to want to provide creative ideas. Work ethic does not have a positive andsignificant effect on employee performance through motivation, this is because the provision ofrecognition and incentives makes employees work more optimally because they feel more motivatedand more valued. The population in this study were all technicians in the work field of the InformationTechnology Security and Infrastructure Division of the Surabaya City Communication and InformationTechnology Office. The data analysis method uses the Partial Least Square Structural EquationModeling (PLS SEM) method. The results showed that work ethic has a significant effect on motivationand performance, but organizational culture has no significant effect on motivation. Abstract:
In this study, we will try to explain the correlation that exists between social ethics and personal ethics. Today’s challenges of human society in the field of ethics, morality and consciousness are not the same in different eras and in nations or groups of states. All three of these domains move more slowly than other processes, but are indispensable in everyday life. State authority in constantly way strive to create legal rules, but their non-compliance with ethic, principles of morality and conscience create major problems in contemporary development. Rapid contemporary developments, especially those in the field of technology and science have brought other concepts to social and personal ethics, but the necessity of their presence always adapting to other conditions has been felt. Today’s man seeks to understand it more in the form of ethics and social education. For example: nudity, morality principles to this phenomenon have changed from generation to generation, once considered shame and today as something private. The reality of the moral and conceptual problems that human and society have had over law, the rights and ethics have changed, concepts have been overthrown, and the way how people have been judged for different situations has evolved. Individual’s education in the traditional societies have been very important issue in his/ her life. That was a lifelong learning process instead. Education’s main purpose was to help the individual during his/her life so that he/she was not only responsible and aware of the environment, but to prepare the individual to fit into real life. In the actual society there are different points of views as far as the moral and civilizing education bonds are concerned. A mutual environment asks for mutual values, but on the other hand it is assumed the need to understand, accept and support even the values which may be different from the individual ones. In other words, the civil education has to treat moral as a separate issue, even though there are different opinions like: moral is a personal choice, moral is given by God, moral is a social agreement, etc. What we should emphasize is the fact that dealing with similar points of view is as important as debating against the opposite ones. It would be very positive if this could be achieved for a common understanding. But does everyone understand what moral, social and personal ethic is? Another question adds to this one: How is the problem of moral going to be treated? And is it necessary to set tasks or duties on moral as well? What features must moral education have in a view of the evolution of society as whole in terms of a new worldview? Today humanity is on the rise and is heading towards great organisation, but one must keep in mind that within this uniformity there is also diversity to be respected. The new worldview must be open to new progress and thinking not only from the content but also from the form.

Abstract:
This article aims to study the ethics and values of Islamic economics in traders who still survive selling in traditional markets. The exploration of Islamic economic values and ethics as the theme of the study is motivated by the assumption that the trade order has shifted to a modern direction and partly results in the loss of ethics and values in several trading transaction systems. This research is a field study at several traditional markets in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir, Riau, an area called "Negeri Seribu Parit". The analysis uses a descriptive-qualitative approach from observation data, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that the traders in the Tembilahan traditional market had diverse ethnic backgrounds; where there was a majority of Malays from the Riau area, some were Minangkabau, then there were the Bugis, Makasar, Banjar Borneo, and what was unique was that there were very few Javanese. Even so, so far, the Javanese are very much found in several regions of Indonesia. Many traders in the Tembilahan traditional market still practice Islamic economic values and ethics. First, most of these diverse ethnic groups have an Islamic background, so understanding and teachings are still inherent in every behavior. Second, traditional markets that still survive are classified into different segments, such as the fish market, dawn market, squat market, and others, so that the value of competition in the modern market often "allows all means" to get as much profit as possible can still be controlled by the association of traders, and the local government.

Abstract:
For the last thirty years, white evangelical Christians have been one of the most prominent groups in the anti-trafficking movement in North America. Whether advocating for policy changes on behalf of survivors, interacting with populations vulnerable to sexual exploitation, or staging rescues, these moral actors use Christian religious practices and values to respond to trafficking and commercial sex work. Anti-trafficking work is coated with and coded by evangelical whiteness, which uses the norms of sexual, social, and racial purity in their interactions with and recovery of trafficking victims and survivors. In response to the white evangelical stronghold on anti-trafficking interventions, the womanist ethic of encounter utilizes womanist frameworks to center the historical realities lived experience of Black women and talk back to the history of evangelical whiteness in anti-trafficking work. Secondly, it focuses on how to interact with the holistic body of Black women in the urban mission field of anti-trafficking. Finally, the womanist ethic of encounter seeks to bridge the gap between the Protestant moralistic centering of the word of the Gospel that coats rescue and recovery efforts and asserts a Catholic centering of the Eucharist to clarify the power of sacrificing and breaking the body of whiteness in anti-trafficking work.

Abstract:
Abstract The “Good” related to the ethical life is determined by the constitutive and prescriptive rea-son/will in the traditional life. The logo-centric good includes predetermined rules and systems. This kind of understanding can be read as a reflection of the traditional world and Western exis-tence (presence) metaphysics. The good that we refer to as “value” in modern times, instead of following determinations and goals of a static center, aims to guide individuals with respect to the moral life. Thus, in the pre-modern traditional world, we can say that the moral system, which includes political determinations, was formed through theoretical production and aimed at the good, which reflects the pre-determined set of rules and order. In the modern period, with the abandonment of teleological understanding of the universe, the good has left its place to the value. This resembles the foundation for the transition to the value that is human good by breaking away from the metaphysically determined ethical good in the sense of certain and unchangeable truth. Thus, the field of morality is has ceased to be a theological or metaphysical measure and subject outside of us, has turned into the field of contingency determined by human beings’ own expe-rience and evaluations of transcendence. In this paper, values especially as in Heidegger’s thought will be examined as the dimension of Dasein’s own world and temporality. In this framework, values are based on ontological truth which represents the meaning of being instead of ontic truth. With this new situation, meaning and the good are sought inside of the “human being” or “this world” instead of “Being”. Values are determined as functional good as a result of existential investigations instead of objective catego-rical investigations. Through this determination, values can be read as a deconstruction of the good. Thus, Heidegger offers distinctive existence and value. For Heidegger who aims to open the closedness of the being, truth is not an ultimate end or a decision, but an activity or haunt. The new truth that created by human’s own evaluations, inclinations, concerns, and value with exis-tence are discovered phenomenologically. With this situation, which can be read as Dasein’s expansion, the agent is guided on how to approach things in order to make themselves visible. Heidegger by this new foundation phenomenologically appropriates ancient understanding of truth instead of neglecting it. Thus, the individual's discovery of values turns into his/her heads towards Dasein’s call and his/her interest over existing ones, instead of abstract metaphysical or theological truths. For Heidegger, ethics is not something that is added later to a prefound theoretical subject. This situation doesn’t reflect Dasein’s authentic existence. Because, for him, the character of the self is not an object of selfdom that is imposed and unchanged. Selfdom can be realized by breaking free from impositions and opening the closure and re-founding the world through phenomenal disco-very. Hence, he aims to take a new position toward life and produce new values. The value that represents Dasein’s one-time existence (existenz) and also truth, grounds on the practical relati-onship that things get involved to reveal themselves their everyday encounter with the world rat-her than the set of rules imposed by certain structure of understanding. The value that reflects emergence of being through human experience, includes existential determinations that are ba-sed on a concrete individual rather than an abstract humanity and separate the human from everything as distinct from the good. By this means, the value in Heidegger can be read as a dyna-mic way of life that can be described as “letting-be”. In our paper, we subjected Heidegger’s understanding of morality to a new reading, as a value that offers new discoveries to the individual and aims to guide him/her, - unlike the traditional good based on the metaphysics of existence - distinctly from traditional good based on Western’s exis-tence metaphysics. It is seen that the studies that separate good and value are insufficient in our country. Considering this situation, we hope that our study on Heidegger will contribute to the subject by bringing a new perspective in terms of the maturity that the value issue needs.

Abstract:
Values-based recruitment is used in England to select healthcare staff, trainees and students on the basis that their values align with those stated in the Constitution of the UK National Health Service (NHS). However, it is unclear whether the extensive body of existing literature within the field of moral philosophy was taken into account when developing these values. Although most values have a long historical tradition, a tendency to assume that they have just been invented, and to approach them uncritically, exists within the healthcare sector. Reflection is necessary. We are of the opinion that selected virtue ethics writings, which are underpinned by historical literature as well as practical analysis of the healthcare professions, provide a helpful framework for evaluation of the NHS Constitution values, to determine whether gaps exist and improvements can be made. Based on this evaluation, we argue that the definitions of certain NHS Constitution values are ambiguous. In addition to this, we argue that ’integrity' and ’practical wisdom', two important concepts in the virtue ethics literature, are not sufficiently represented within the NHS Constitution values. We believe that the NHS Constitution values could be strengthened by providing clearer definitions, and by integrating ’integrity' and ’practical wisdom'. This will benefit values-based recruitment strategies. Should healthcare policy-makers in other countries wish to develop a similar values-based recruitment framework, we advise that they proceed reflectively, and take previously published virtue ethics literature into consideration.

The article presents a reflection on the structure of values functioning as motivators of economic behaviour. Considering the principle of rational egoism the author describes three segments of crucial values, which seem to be fundamental, as a matter of the contemporary Euro-American economic value system – freedom and justice; responsibility and confidence; progress, prosperity and rationality. An important methodological basis of presented reflection is the Ethics of social consequences – dynamically developing consequentialist ethical theory, responding to the challenges arising in the field of applied ethics in the framework of efforts to solve practical problems of today's world.

The objects or the fetish created by them when analyzed through an artistic perspective, seems, to the outsiders or through the ‘Etic Approach’ just a local ethnic crude handicraft. However, when analyzed through the ‘Emic Approach’ these artistic creations or fetish have great symbolic values associated with it. This paper-based on a field survey of the two regions has brought to limelight the symbolic values behind artistic creativity associated with their animistic practices.

Abstract The presented paper focuses primarily on the tourism activities of teaching staff at universities and other research institutions. This applies in particular to travel during which the principal purpose is, inter alia, various exploratory internships, conferences, trips as a guest professor or a visiting professor under the auspices of the Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus programs. These peregrinations require extra effort, not only with regards to teaching and research duties, but also present opportunities to confront, test and evaluate one’s own research results and outlook with new listeners in new locations in different environments. This travel especially applies to the foreign environment, a situation that presents high degrees of professional, scientific and linguistic challenges, resulting in increased contributions and activity to the specific field of science. Regardless of the workload and the difficulties of the discussed travel, such travel can also bring about much personal satisfaction: a) due to a sense of a well done job as a result of meeting expectations of the employer and the host placed on the 'messenger of science' and b) due to the pleasure associated with those tourist experiences having autotelic and pragmatic (instrumental) overtones

Abstract:
This article is about Nathalie Heinich’s proposals for a sociology of values. It criticises some of them: e.g. her anti-naturalism, her refusal to take religion as a relevant frame for thinking about values, her separation of values and ethics, and her conception of the field of value as including only attachments and evaluative acts and value judgements. It tries to clarify others: e.g. the connection between values and emotions, the nature of values as principles and the characterisation of values as ultimate. The methodological point of view taken up is John Dewey’s ‘adverbialism’, which consists of viewing values as ways of doing and means of conduct. Such a point of view, it is argued, makes it possible to take further Nathalie Heinich’s pragmatic turn, which is mainly inspired by linguistic pragmatics.

Abstract:
The article deals with the current situation in the field of ethical regulation of economic relations. The author shows that interest in the ethical regulation of the economy increases during the transitional historical periods, which are characterized by a fundamental transformation of all aspects of societys life, both the formation of capitalism and the formation of Industry 4.0. The idea of replenishing ethical standards in the field of professional labor activity is substantiated on the open data of sociological research, the theoretical separation of market and ethical thinking, the contraction of the sphere of pure ethical regulation (М. Sandel). It is expressed in the transition from the recognition ethics to the trust ethics, the latter goes beyond the boundaries of interpersonal relations, forming a culture of institutional trust. Modern practices of ethical codification of companies activities are greatly influenced by the problems of the value dimension of digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence, green economy, inclusion in the business culture of organizations.

The participants were 323 Israeli nurses, who were asked about 36 personal values and 20 professional values. The three fundamental professional nursing values of human dignity, equality among patients, and prevention of suffering, were rated first. The top 10 rated values all concerned nurses' responsibility towards patients. Abstract:Previous research has identified multiple approaches to the design and implementation of corporate ethics programs (Paine, 1994; Weaver, Treviño, and Cochran, in press b; Treviño, Weaver, Gibson, and Toffler, in press). This field survey in a large financial services company investigated the relationships of the values and compliance orientations in an ethics program to a diverse set of outcomes. Employees’ perceptions that the company ethics program is oriented toward affirming ethical values were associated with seven outcomes. Perceptions of a compliance orientation were associated with four of these outcomes. The interaction of values and compliance orientations was associated with employees’ willingness to report misconduct. In general, a values orientation makes a greater unique contribution to the measured outcomes when compared to a compliance orientation.

Abstract:
Torn between the two extremes of one's own cultural heritage and the demands of the materialistic values being imitated from the Western societies, an Indian today seems to have temporarily lost his or her moorings. Verily, the current scenario is of confusion and extreme public cynicism about issues such as ethics and values. Businessmen, like human beings in other spheres of life, too face the dilemma arising out of the eternal conflict between the ends and the means. Business ethics and values might just be a new field focusing on age-old dilemmas. What makes the topic of ethics and values in business specially relevant and topical in the present context in India is fact that we are on the threshold of environmental changes of far-reaching consequences. This article is addressed to the subset of the larger issues of ethics and values in life in general. The setting is the business and industry in India in the 1990s and beyond. The basic suggestion of this article relates to the felt need that there has to be a greater understanding of the twin and interrelated issues of ethics and professional values in business and industry in India.
